By Breitbart. The House of Representatives will vote Tuesday on whether to make Washington, D.C., a State.

The House Oversight Committee, chaired by Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), voted the bill, H.R. 51, out of committee by a vote of 25-19 to create D.C. statehood Wednesday. . .

The ultimate argument seems to be whether the 23rd Amendment guarantees the federal Capitol at least three electors in presidential elections, Rep. Any Biggs (R-AZ) suggested Wednesday.

Biggs’ view is supported by legal scholars, who opposed D.C. statehood’s feasibility without a Constitutional amendment to the 23rd Amendment. The Office of Legal Counsel in 2007 believed it was unconstitutional, the Justice Department under former President Reagan and former President Carter stated the transformation was unconstitutional, and so did Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, when he sat on the D.C. House Committee Votes To Approve DC Statehood as Democrats Denounce the Disenfranchisement of DC’s 700,000 Residents

By Yahoo News. The House Oversight and Reform Committee approved a bill on Wednesday that would make Washington, DC, the country’s 51st state.

The Washington, DC Admissions Act or H.R. 51, introduced by DC Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton, is expected to pass a full House vote along party lines next week.

Those in favor of statehood argue that DC residents are being denied their most basic democratic right to representation in Congress. The city has one non-voting member of the House and two “shadow senators,” who are unelected and can’t vote. . .

Congress passed the same legislation last June, but the Republican-controlled Senate refused to bring it up for a vote last year. While Democrats now control the House, Senate, and White House, the bill likely remains doomed as its passage would require 60 votes in the Senate because of the chamber’s filibuster rule. Just 44 Democratic senators have co-sponsored the legislation. Leftist Newspaper Runs Cartoon Comparing Black Republican Congressman to the KKK

The Salt Lake Tribune sparked outrage after it ran an editorial cartoon comparing Republican Utah Rep. Burgess Owens to a member of the Klu Klux Klan (KKK).

The cartoon shows Owens pointing toward the southern border with the caption, “They are coming to your neighborhoods!” On the right side of the cartoon, a member of the KKK holds a torch and points toward Owens, saying, “They are coming to your neighborhoods!” . . .

“I was raised int he 1960’s Deep South during a time when the KKK terrorized my neighborhood and the color of my skin literally dictated where I went to school. It was a time when racism was defined by arrogance and demeaning the character of any person of color,” Owens told the Caller.

“They can try to hide behind a newspaper and fake ‘wokeness,’ but this is it,” he continued. “Don’t let the racist and tone deaf Salt Lake Tribune cast a bad light on our great state of inclusion. It does not represent the people of Utah or my constituents in District 4.”

Undercover Video: CNN Admits They Ignore Asian-American Hate Crimes To ‘Try and Help BLM’

Project Veritas continued to cause headaches for CNN on Thursday when it published another secretly recorded video featuring network technical director Charles Chester discussing how his employer manipulates coverage to fit its liberal agenda.

“I was trying to do some research on, like, the Asian hate, like the people are getting attacked and whatnot. A bunch of Black men have been attacking Asians. I’m like ‘What are you doing? Like, we are trying to help BLM,’” Chester said in the video.

Chester noted that “conservatives” would pounce if it was reported that Black people were the ones committing hate crimes because it wouldn’t coincide with the Black Lives Matter movement.

“That’s not good. The optics of that are not good. These little things like that are enough to set back movements,” the CNN employee continued while speaking without realizing he was being filmed. During his remarks announcing a new timeline to withdraw troops from Afghanistan after nearly 20 years of war, President Biden appeared to take credit for the decision to green-light the raid that killed former al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. . .

While Biden has different versions of what happened in the lead-up to Obama’s decision to authorize the raid that took out bin Laden, it is well documented that he was against going at that time.

Biden’s first version of his role in the discussion was best expressed in January 2012, when he spoke to House Democrats at a retreat. Biden at the time probably did not expect to run again for president. He was clearly trying to make Obama look like a gutsy decision-maker in the face of antsy aides.

“The president, he went around the table with all the senior people, including the chiefs of staff, and he said, ‘I have to make a decision. What is your opinion?’ He started with the national security adviser, the secretary of state, and he ended with me,” Biden said. “Every single person in that room hedged their bet except [CIA Director] Leon Panetta. Leon said, ‘Go.’ Everyone else said, 49, 51. He got to me. He said, ‘Joe, what do you think?’ And I said, ‘You know, I didn’t know we had so many economists around the table.’ I said, ‘We owe the man a direct answer. Mr. President, my suggestion is, don’t go. We have to do two more things to see if he’s there.’ ” (WaPo)

Big Tech Again Silences The New York Post for Reporting the Truth

. . .On Thursday, Facebook decided its users should not be able to share a New York Post article about the property buying habits of one of the founders of Black Lives Matter.

This is the third time we’ve tangled with social media giants in the past year. In the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, we published a column that suggested the virus could have leaked from a Chinese virology lab. Facebook’s “fact checkers” decided this was an opinion you weren’t allowed to have, and blocked the article. Today, it’s a commonly discussed theory, with officials from former CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield to CNN’s Sanjay Gupta saying it can’t be discounted. Even the head of the World Health Organization (WHO) has said it can’t be ruled out.

In October, we published a series of articles about a laptop Hunter Biden left at a Delaware repair shop. Twitter suspended our account. You probably know how that ended. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey admitted to lawmakers months later it was a “total mistake.”

We were right both times. We’re right this time, too.

The $3.2 million real estate spending spree of BLM co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors is newsworthy for two reasons. One, she’s an avowed Marxist, and as a public figure, it’s legitimate to question whether she’s practicing what she preaches. Secondly, as the article details, the finances of Black Lives Matter are opaque, a mixture of for-profits and tax-free nonprofits, and they don’t reveal how much its executives are paid. Daunte Wright Had Multiple Criminal Charges on Record When He Was Pulled Over, Court Documents Show

. . .[Daunte] Wright, the 20-year-old black man who was shot by in an apparent accidental discharge, had previously been charged with first-degree aggravated robbery, fleeing from police, and possession of a handgun without a permit. Wright also had a warrant for his arrest out at the time of his fatal shooting after failing to appear in court for the fleeing and weapons charges.

The aggravated robbery charge stemmed from a 2019 incident in which Wright and an acquaintance attended a party at an apartment and were told to leave around 2:30 a.m. by two women who rented the apartment, according to court documents. But the two men said they did not have a ride, prompting the women to allow them to stay the night.

The next morning, one of the women left the apartment to get $820 in cash to pay the other for her share of the rent before leaving for work. The other woman stayed behind while Wright and his acquaintance waited for their ride. Then, the woman alleged that Wright blocked the door and pulled out a handgun “with silver trim out from either his right waistband or his right coat pocket” and demanded that the woman hand over the $820 while pointing the gun at her.

When the woman asked Wright if he was “serious,” Wright responded by saying, “Give me the f—ing money. I know you have it. … I’m not playing around.”

Wright then choked the woman while attempting to pull the money out of her bra, but she was able to free herself and “started to kneel down and scream” for the men to get out of her apartment, telling them the police were close by. But Wright threatened to shoot her if she didn’t turn over the money, saying, “Give me the money, and we will leave. Mexican-American Grandmother Brutally Beaten by ‘Black’ Attacker Who Thought She Was Asian (VIDEO)

An elderly Mexican-American woman in California was reportedly savagely beaten by an attacker who thought the woman was Asian and hurled an anti-Chinese racial slur at her, according to reports.

A 70-year-old woman was riding on a bus to go grocery shopping in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles last Friday afternoon, the victim’s son told the Eastsider. The elderly woman was getting off the bus to go to the Vons supermarket when another passenger screamed an anti-Chinese racial epithet at the Mexican-American woman. The suspect brutally beat the Mexican-American woman, whom she allegedly believed to be Asian.

“The victim’s son reportedly says that a female passenger, described as ‘black,’ called his mother an anti-Asian slur and then attacked her,” KTLA reported.

The attacker reportedly pulled out some of the victim’s hair as she dragged her from the back of the bus to the front. The son said his mother suffered a concussion and a broken nose from the assault. Her leg was badly injured, and she now has difficulty walking, according to her son. She was allegedly held overnight in a hospital. Photos show the unnamed woman’s face severely bruised and swollen.

Not a Joke: Kamala Blames Border Crisis on ‘Climate Change’

Chosen by President Biden to oversee immigration policy, Vice President Kamala Harris has been assessing the situation at the border.

The “root cause” of the migrant surge, which even some Democrats have admitted is a “crisis,” is not the administration’s policies, she contends. It’s “climate change.”

Harris hasn’t been to the border since becoming vice president, but she is planning a trip to Mexico and the Northern Triangle countries, where she says there’s a “need for resilience around extreme climate” due to “severe climate experiences.” . . .

The New York Post editorial board was skeptical of her assessment, noting she made no mention of “the corrupt governments that prevent economic progress — and are sure to pocket the bulk of any foreign aid meant to develop those economies or make their farms more ‘resilient.'”

Top Georgia Official Warns Biden: Quit Lying About Election Law

A top election official in Georgia, where the 2020 results triggered allegations of fraud, is pleading with President Biden to quit lying about the state’s new election law.

And he warned that if Biden doesn’t, “Someone is going to get hurt.”

The comments come from Gabriel Sterling, the chief operating officer for the Georgia secretary of state, in a commentary for the Washington Post. . .

He continued: “So I plead with the president once again: Someone is going to get hurt. Your words matter. The facts matter. In the weeks and months after Nov. 3, my boss and I, along with local election workers, received death threats because we would not bend to pressure from one president to alter the outcome of the election. It is disappointing to see the new president engage in similarly dangerous hyperbole.”

“The president has also repeated the lie that ‘this is Jim Crow in the 21st century.’ Democrats have clearly realized this is a potential fundraising tactic regardless of the impact on voter confidence. It is no small wonder how a law, which election experts agree expands voting access to all Georgians, could be compared to the vast historical effort to disenfranchise and oppress Black Americans,” said Sterling. WATCH: Man Chucks Bobcat That Attacked His Wife in Viral Video

A man in a suburban neighborhood sprung into action, grabbed an aggressive bobcat, and threw it across his lawn after the animal attacked his wife.

The footage, which appeared to be captured on a home security camera, showed the man saying “good morning” to a neighbor and remarking that he needed to wash his car before a shriek and a growl can be heard. Within seconds, a bobcat attacks the man’s wife, who is carrying a pet cage, as she yells for her husband, “Rodney! Rodney!”

More shouting can be heard before the man hoists the wild animal above his head and says, “Oh my god. It’s a bobcat!” at a passerby. He then chucks the angry cat across his lawn, but the animal recovers and runs straight toward Rodney’s wife as he yells, “Lindsey!” to alert her of another assault.
