Priest Asked to Resign After Preaching Against Sins of Liberalism, Vaccine Mandates, Wicked Clergy (VIDEO)

Internationally popular priest Fr. James Altman was asked to resign from St. James the Less Catholic Church in La Crosse, Wisconsin, Friday.

The priest, who was happily surprised (and noticeably bashful) to grow in national and international status among traditional Catholics over the past year, was asked to resign by Bishop of La Crosse William Callahan Friday, Altman announced at Sunday Mass. Although the letter hasn’t been released, Altman told the parish the charges were that he was ineffective and caused division in the Catholic Church — two charges that are contradicted by fundraising and attendance records set for the parish under the priest’s leadership.

Altman’s homilies have gone viral over the past year, beginning with a fiery broadside against the modern Democratic Party’s pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, pro-transgender platform, but zeroing in on failures in Catholic Church leadership to teach the catechism, keep the faithful coming to church, police sexual sins and abusers in the clergy, positively affect the culture, maintain a moral influence on politics, and most recently, simply keep their doors open amidst COVID-19 panics and secular leaders’ demands that worship end or be severely curtailed.

“I don’t mind if people have different sets of beliefs, certainly in this country we are entitled to that via the Constitution,” Altman’s told The Federalist Radio Hour in an October 2020 interview, “but what I do mind is when someone lies about it. There are far too many laymen and clergy alike who present error in the message they are giving.”

This Organization Will Lead the Investigation Into COVID Origins

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Tuesday the China-dominated World Health Organization (WHO) would lead phase two of an investigation into the origins of the novel Wuhan coronavirus.

Psaki’s remark came in response to a reporter at a White House briefing who pressed Psaki on what groups would be charged with another investigation of the virus’ origin after the WHO’s initial report was undermined by its own Director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. Ghebreuesus admitted more research needs to be conducted after the WHO concluded from its initial investigation under Chinese oversight last year ruled the lab-leak hypothesis, written off as a conspiracy in U.S. media, was highly unlikely. . .

“What role does the Biden administration think U.S. scientists or CDC scientists should play in that investigation?” a reporter asked.

“The WHO would be the body that would be overseeing a transparent, independent phase 2 investigation. Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said she wouldn’t take down a statue of Adolf Hitler because of his historical significance in a newly unearthed video from 2020.

Greene, who was then a candidate for Congress, appeared to argue there was a slippery slope for removing statues.

“We’re seeing situations where Christopher Columbus, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, all kinds of statues are being attacked, and it seems to be just an effort to take down history,” Greene said, noting she supports keeping “all of our monuments.”

“Whether I see a statue that may be something that I would fully disagree with, like Adolf Hitler, maybe a statue of Satan himself, I would not want to say ‘take it down.’ But again, it’s so that I can tell my children and teach others about who these people are, what they did, and what they may be about.” . . .

Greene came under fire Tuesday over another comment related to Hitler, likening individuals who have to prove they received the COVID-19 vaccine to Jewish people who were forced by Nazi’s to wear the Star of David.

Netanyahu Publicly Rebuffs U.S. Efforts To Re-Enter Iran Nuclear Deal

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu publicly rebuffed U.S. efforts to re-enter the Iran nuclear deal during remarks in front of Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Tuesday.

President Joe Biden wants to revive the deal canceled by former President Donald Trump three years ago despite pushback from both parties, Politico previously reported. The deal, officially dubbed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), was brokered by former President Barack Obama in 2015 when Biden served as vice president.

Netanyahu pushed back on the Biden administration’s recent efforts and expressed his hope that the U.S. would forgo its plans. The prime minister voiced concern for the implications of Iran having “an arsenal of nuclear weapons with international legitimacy.”

“The second point is – naturally, is Iran. We discussed many regional issues, but none is greater than Iran. And I can tell you that I hope that the United States will not go back to the old JCPOA because we believe that that deal paves the way for Iran to have an arsenal of nuclear weapons with international legitimacy,” Netanyahu said during the joint press event. Texas Governor: We’re Going to Defund Cities That Defund Police (VIDEO)

After signing a law that would prohibit cities within Texas to defund the police, Republican Gov. Greg Abbott told “The Faulkner Focus” on Tuesday that Austin should face consequences for its move to cripple local law enforcement. The governor retweeted a post from Kenneth Casaday, the president of the Austin Police Association, over the weekend that was critical of the response time for a shooting call early Sunday.

White House Defends Biden’s Meeting With Putin

The White House says President Biden’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Geneva next month is a “vital part” of defending American interests and not a “reward” for destabilizing behavior.

Biden and Putin are set to meet in Geneva on June 16, and are expected to discuss a range of issues, including Iran and North Korea’s nuclear capabilities, Syria, the Arctic, strategic stability, arms control, climate change, COVID-19 and more.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Wednesday was asked why the president offered to meet with Putin, to which she replied: “This is how diplomacy works.”

“We don’t meet with people only when we agree, it’s actually important to meet with leaders when we have a range of disagreements, as we do with Russian leaders,” Psaki said.

Defrocked Catholic Priest Implicated Himself In Murder of Teen Alter Boy Before Dying

A defrocked Roman Catholic priest implicated himself in the 1972 slaying of a Massachusetts altar boy before dying at a hospital last week — saying he gave the boy a “good shove” before he was discovered dead in a river, a prosecutor said.

Richard R. Lavigne, long considered the only suspect in the murder of 13-year-old Danny Croteau, told a Massachusetts State Police trooper during a series of recent interviews that he was the last person to see the Springfield boy alive — when he brought him to the bank of the Chicopee River.

In a press conference Monday, Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni played snippets of the interviews, where Lavigne admitted that he assaulted the boy on the riverbank on April 14, 1972.

The priest later returned and found Danny floating face-down in the water, but didn’t try to save him or notify his parents or cops, the prosecutor said.

Disgraced GOP Senator Says He ‘Would Support’ Jan. 6 Capitol Riot Commission

Sen. Mitt Romney says he “would support” the House-passed bill establishing a commission to investigate the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, making him the first Senate Republican to come out in favor of the proposal, after House Republicans opposed it.

Speaking to reporters at the Capitol on Monday evening, Romney (R-Utah) made the revelation after being asked how he would vote if Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) brought the legislation to the floor for debate.

“I would support the bill,” he responded.

The Senate is split 50-50 between Republicans and Democrats, though Vice President Kamala Harris, as Senate president, has a tie-breaking vote. The rise in anti-Semitic attacks across the country coincided with an explosion of conflict between Israel and militants in Gaza earlier in May. The Biden administration spent time pushing “quiet, intensive diplomacy” with the Middle East in an effort to end the violence, the White House noted at the time.

At the same time, the president appeared to initially neglect addressing violence within his own country. He finally referred to the violence Monday and called the attacks “despicable” while urging Americans “to give hate no safe harbor.” . . .

Pro-Israel Rally Attacked in Illinois: ‘Kill the Jews’

Naperville Police Department allegedly told the pro-Israel group to go home due to safety concerns, as the pro-Palestinian protesters stopped cars, physically attacked the pro-Israel demonstrators, and burned a stolen Israeli flag before. . .

The “Walk for Israel” was organized by high school junior Talia Raab on May 13, and days later the “Naperville March for Palestine” was created in response. . .

As the pro-Israel demonstrators were leaving, Daniel said they could hear the counter-protesters marching closer and chanting, “Intifada! Intifada! Long live the Intifada!” and “Khaybar Khaybar, ya yahud, Jaish Muhammad, sa yahud,” which means, “Jews, remember Khaybar, the army of Muhammad is returning.”

When four teenage pro-Israel boys were driving away, Daniel said they “got caught in the mob at a traffic light. They were surrounded by the mob with people jumping on and into their car, spitting and punching.” An Israeli flag was stolen from the car and burned:

When the Raabs and another family left, their cars were allegedly attacked by a pro-Palestinian mob. Daniel said a mob of 20 people “began pounding and shaking the car, trying to break the windows and enter through the sunroof. Democrat-Run Cities Can’t or Won’t Protect Jews and Asians from Hate Crime Explosion

Every time I write something like the following, it feels silly and obvious, but sometimes the silly and obvious still must be said: Imagine the media landscape today if roving bands of white supremacists were flying the confederate flag out of their vehicles and stopping only to assault Jews.

Imagine CNNLOL, imagine NBC News, the New York Times, the Washington Post… If that were happening, we would be at Defcon 1 in this country, and yet this is exactly what’s happening to American Jews and we’re not at Defcon 1, but only because the roving band of antisemitic thugs are middle eastern.

Remember CNNLOL, NBC News, the New York Times, and Washington Post after a report was released showing an explosion in hate crimes against Asians? Remember how they all went to Defcon 1 when they thought they could blame it on former President Trump and his white supremacist supporters? . . .

Well, not because hate crimes have ceased against Asians. Nope, the narrative disappeared because almost every time one of these anti-Asian bigots was arrested or caught on video, the bad guy wasn’t white.

We live in a world where the establishment media are willing to spend years flat-out lying about Trump saying Nazis are very fine people, but are all but covering up an actual and very real hate crime crisis.

The Atlantic’s David Frum appears to be first out of the gate in what will likely become a coordinated, aggressive media campaign to defend the people and institutions that got the COVID-19 origin story wrong — and absolve them of all responsibility, however complicit they might be — and instead blame it all on Trump and his supporters.

It sounds stupid, I know, but it’s true. Frum thinks Trump and his tens of millions of supporters “are not interested in weighing the evidence” of the virus’s origins, and only want “payback for the political and cultural injuries inflicted on them by the scientists.” The whole thing, for them, is just “a weapon in a culture war here at home.” . . .

The need for such a campaign has become apparent in recent days because the question of COVID’s origins isn’t going away. There are two main theories: either the virus naturally jumped from animal to humans, or it was being studied — and perhaps manipulated or enhanced — in a lab and accidentally escaped. . .

Then last week, a group of prominent scientists published a letter in the journal Science calling for a deeper investigation, including the possibility that the virus escaped from a lab by accident. The letter’s signatories include some of the world’s leading coronavirus researchers. One of them is Dr. Ralph Baric, who collaborated with Dr. Shi Zheng-li, China’s foremost expert on bat viruses, at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, located in Wuhan, China, where the outbreak began. They were trying to enhance the ability of bat viruses to infect humans. . .

So why did the entire corporate media dismiss the lab leak theory as some crazy conspiracy theory last year? Well, because Trump and his supporters suggested it. When Sen. Three Wuhan Researchers Hospitalized in 2019

By Samuel Chamberlain. Three researchers at a Chinese lab that has been scrutinized as the possible origin point of the coronavirus pandemic went to the hospital due to an illness in November 2019, according to a new report.

The Wall Street Journal, which cited current and former US officials, reported that the intelligence gathered by “an international partner” expands on a State Department document confirming that workers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology fell ill with symptoms “consistent with both Covid-19 and common seasonal illness” in fall 2019. . .

The theory that the coronavirus accidentally leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology into the wider population has gained credence as a viable explanation in recent weeks, following a World Health Organization-led investigation and report — compiled with the help of the Chinese government — that left many other nations dissatisfied.

China has contributed to the suspicion, with the lab not releasing records related to its work on coronaviruses in bats. Meanwhile, Beijing has pushed a series of wild theories, including that the coronavirus spread through imported frozen food packaging and originated at a biomedical research facility at Fort Detrick in Maryland. . .

WATCH: In Surprising Reversal, Fauci Calls for Investigation Into China’s COVID Origins

By The Blaze. Dr. Anthony Fauci is now calling for more investigation into China to uncover the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic, a dramatic reversal from his earlier position in which he dismissed theories that COVID-19 emerged from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. . .

In a recent interview that received little attention, Fauci was asked by PolitiFact editor Katie Sanders whether he is “still confident that [COVID-19] developed naturally?” . . .

“No, actually,” Fauci said. “No, I’m not convinced about that. I think that we should continue to investigate what went on in China until we find out to the best of our ability exactly what happened.”

“Certainly, the people who’ve investigated it say it likely was the emergence from an animal reservoir that then infected individuals, but it could’ve been something else, and we need to find that out,” he continued. “So, you know, that’s the reason why I said I’m perfectly in favor of any investigation that looks into the origin of the virus.”
