Parents across the country are standing up and speaking out against critical race theory in schools. From Loudoun County, Virginia, to Carmel, New York, school board meetings have become must-see TV. But what happens when the cameras turn off? How can parents turn their outrage into meaningful change?

“We are asking people to go into the arena in a situation where they are going to be called a racist,” said Russ Vought, president of the Center for Renewing America and former director of the Office of Management and Budget under President Trump. “They’re not, they’ve got the moral high ground, but no one wants to be called that.”

In documents obtained exclusively by Fox News, Citizens for Renewing America (the advocacy arm of Vought’s conservative think tank) has created an “A to Z guide” for stopping critical race theory. . .

“Our role is to be a resource to parents, to be a resource to state legislatures, to help them understand the theory, to understand the buzzwords,” said Vought.

Trump Gets Unlikely Ally in Defamation Case: Biden’s DOJ

President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice filed a brief Monday extending cover to former President Donald Trump in a defamation case.

Author and columnist E. Jean Carroll filed the suit against the then-president in late 2019, following his public denials of the rape allegations she had previously raised against him.

Trump’s Justice Department moved to replace his personal legal team and have the suit transferred to a federal court in late 2020. The new brief from the Biden administration takes up the Trump-era argument, claiming that statements the 45th president made about Carroll were “crude and disrespectful” but still “within the scope of his office.”

“The President is an ‘employee of the government,'” Justice Department lawyers wrote in the new brief. “Nothing in the text, purpose, or history of the statutes suggests that they exempt from their coverage the President of the United States.”

The lawyers added that Trump’s statements denying Carroll’s claims, while undoubtedly “crude and disrespectful,” still fell “within the scope” of his office at the time and should therefore be defended by the Justice Department. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is blasting Vice President Kamala Harris for telling illegal immigrants to not come to the United States amid a record surge in illegal border crossings — calling the veep’s comments “disappointing.”

Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) offered the rebuke in a series of tweets Monday evening, retweeting a video of the vice president discouraging illegal migration during her trip to Guatemala.

“I want to be clear to folks in this region who are thinking about making that dangerous trek to the United States-Mexico border: Do not come, do not come,” Harris said while speaking to reporters at a press conference alongside Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei.

“The United States will continue to enforce our laws, and secure our border. There are legal methods by which migration can and should occur, but we, as one of our priorities, will discourage illegal migration,” said Harris, who on Tuesday is in Mexico meeting with President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador. “And I believe if you come to our border, you will be turned back.”

5-Year-Old Girl Abandoned by Smugglers at Gap in Border Wall

Border Patrol agents said Tuesday they rescued yet another young child abandoned at the border by smugglers near a gap in the border wall.

Agents said they spotted the 5-year-old Guatemalan girl being dropped off at a point where the border wall comes to an end near San Ysidro, California, on Monday morning. The girl walked north into the U.S., following the channel of the Tijuana River.

Video released by the Border Patrol shows the girl picking her way, alone, along the wall.

Agents quickly swooped in and got her and rushed her to a medical check, where she was determined to be in good health

Secret U.S. Report From May 2020 Said COVID-19 Lab Leak Was Plausible

A classified report from a top US government laboratory on the origins of the coronavirus concluded in May 2020 that the theory stating the virus leaked from a lab in Wuhan, China should be investigated further, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday.

The study from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, a biodefense research facility primarily funded by the Department of Energy, was one of the first and most authoritative works to cut against the initial scientific consensus that the virus naturally jumped from animals to humans.

The study’s existence was first reported last month by Sinclair Broadcast Group. It was also referenced last week in a bombshell report by Vanity Fair. The latter publication reported that the analysis was uncovered in the fall of 2020 by an intelligence analyst working for the State Department and galvanized a dormant investigation into the origins of the virus by the Department’s Bureau of Arms Control, Verification, and Compliance.

Vanity Fair also reported that officials at the Department of Energy attempted to block State Department investigators from talking to the report’s authors. Apparent IRS Leak Reveals ‘Thousands’ of Wealthy Americans’ Confidential Tax Data

As the Biden administration works to double the size of the IRS and institute new income reporting requirements, an apparent internal leak revealed the confidential tax data of some of the wealthiest Americans.

The data—published Tuesday by ProPublica—covers more than 15 years of tax returns filed by “thousands of the nation’s wealthiest people.” According to the nonprofit news organization, the private information came from an “anonymous source” who provided “large amounts of information on the ultrawealthy,” including taxes, income, and stock trades. Under federal law, government employees who “willfully” disclose “any return or return information” without authorization are subject to federal charges.

The leak comes as the Biden administration pushes to hire nearly 87,000 new IRS staffers through an $80 billion budget increase. The proposal also includes additional income and transaction reporting requirements, which Sen. The Largest Gun Registration and Confiscation Scheme Is Being Planned by the Biden Administration

The magazine limits don’t just apply to rifles, but also handguns, meaning the millions would become felons under the Democrats’ gun confiscation scheme. Biden is then taking to tweaking current regulations through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. It’s through this avenue that his scheme to turn millions into felons is being planned as we speak. A new rule proposed by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) at the request of President Joe Biden would make most firearms with stabilizing pistol braces illegal. Owners would have to register, turn in, or disassemble the guns to avoid federal felony charges. One government estimate found as many as 40 million guns could be affected.

“It will be the largest gun registration, destruction, and confiscation scheme in American history,” Alex Bosco, who invented the stabilizing brace and founded the biggest manufacturer of them, told The Reload.

The rule outlines a complex point system the agency wants to create to judge when a gun with a stabilizing brace should be classified as a pistol and when it should be classified as a short-barrel rifle requiring registration under the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA). The proposal aims to reconcile the ATF’s decade-long track record of approving the braces on a case-by-case basis. That process was often criticized by members of the gun industry and gun-rights movement as arbitrary and contradictory.

SCOTUS Rules 400,000 Illegal Aliens Can’t Become Permanent Residents

Roughly 400,000 illegal immigrants who are under Temporary Protected Status will not be eligible to apply for permanent residency.

The Supreme Court unanimously decided Monday that those with TPS would be unable to get green cards, as it conflicts with the current format of the program, The Associated Press reported. . .

“A TPS recipient who entered the United States unlawfully is not eligible under §1255 for LPR status merely by dint of his TPS. Section 1255 provides that eligibility for LPR status generally requires an ‘admission’ into the country — defined to mean ‘the lawful entry of the alien into the United States after inspection and authorization by an immigration officer.’ §1101(a)(13)(A). “Senator Lisa Murkowski has cost the great people of Alaska billions and billions of dollars by voting for Radical Left Biden appointees, which in turn led to the revocation of ANWR drilling,” Trump said in the statement, noting, “Alaskans have been fighting to see [this] happen for six decades.”

Trump continued to write, “Not only did Murkowski kill the biggest economic stimulant for the State, but also one of the biggest energy producing sites in the world.”

“Nobody thought ANWR could be opened. We got it done, and she allowed it to be killed,” the former president added.

The Latest Attempt by the Liberal Media To Distract Us Over Trump DOJ Story Just Blew up

It’s a piece which aged poorly, less than 72 hours because The Washington Post’s publisher elaborated that Joe Biden’s DOJ intensified what the previous administration was already doing (via WaPo):

During the final days of the Trump administration, the attorney general used extraordinary measures to obtain subpoenas to secretly seize records of reporters at three leading U.S. news organizations. After this was reported last month, President Biden rightly decried this attack on the First Amendment, calling it “simply, simply wrong” and assuring Americans that it would not happen in his administration.

Unfortunately, new revelations suggest that the Biden Justice Department not only allowed these disturbing intrusions to continue — it intensified the government‘s attack on First Amendment rights before finally backing down in the face of reporting about its conduct.

After Biden took office, the department continued to pursue subpoenas for reporters’ email logs issued to Google, which operates the New York Times’ email systems, and it obtained a gag order compelling a Times attorney to keep silent about the fact that federal authorities were seeking to seize his colleagues’ records. Later, when the Justice Department broadened the number of those permitted to know about the effort, it barred Times executives from discussing the legal battle with the Times newsroom, including the paper’s top editor.

This escalation, on Biden’s watch, represents an unprecedented assault on American news organizations and their efforts to inform the public about government wrongdoing.

Biden Replaces Women With ‘Birthing People’ in New Budget

President Biden’s promise to “build back better” apparently also applies to “birthing people,” according to the 2022 budget proposal from his administration’s Office of Management and Budget.

In the section on “strengthening public health infrastructure and meeting crisis-related needs,” President Biden claims his budget “reduces maternal mortality rate and ends race-based disparities in maternal mortality.”

The United States has the highest maternal mortality rate among developed nations, with an unacceptably high mortality rate for Black, American Indian/Alaska Native, and other women of color. To help end this high rate of maternal mortality and race-based disparities in outcomes among birthing people—and in addition to the investment in maternal health included in the American Families Plan—the Budget includes more than $200 million to: reduce maternal mortality and morbidity rates nationwide; bolster Maternal Mortality Review Committees; expand the Rural Maternity and Obstetrics Management Strategies program; help cities place early childhood development experts in pediatrician offices with a high percentage of Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program patients; implement implicit bias training for healthcare providers; and create State pregnancy medical home programs.
