Nurse Takes Legal Action Against Hospital Waging War on Christianity

A longtime nurse in the United Kingdom is taking legal action against a London National Health Service Trust after officials there insisted that her small cross necklace, worn in honor of her Christian faith, was a health menace.

That appeared to be a false claim, since the managers repeatedly offered her a compromise that she could wear the necklace if it was not visible, ignoring any potential health aspects of the dispute.

Officials at Christian Concern say the Christian Legal Center now is representing Mary Onuoha in her dispute with Croydon University Hospital in south London.

Her lawyers are pointing out in their case that others in the hospital were allowed to wear “jewelry, hijabs, saris, turbans and religious bracelets” without a problem under the dress code which states: “The Trust welcomes the variety of appearances brought by individual styles, choices and religious requirements regarding dress; this will be treated sensitively and will be agreed on an individual basis with the Manager and Trust and must conform to health, safety and security regulations, infection prevention and control and moving and handling guidelines. The wearing of saris, turbans, kirpan, skullcaps, hijabs, kippahs and clerical collars arising from particular cultural / religious norms are seen as part of welcoming diversity.” . . .

“NHS management exposed that the real reason for their demands was not safety and hygiene, but the visibility of the cross. In a letter to Mrs Onuoha on 9 August 2018, her line manager and Clinical Lead Practitioner, wrote: ‘I offered you a compromise of using a longer chain so your necklace was out of sight but you refused,'” the Christian Concern report explained. Chinese President on Taiwan ‘Reunification’: Those ‘Who Betray Their Motherland’ ‘Will Come To No Good End’

On Saturday, Chinese President Xi Jinping gave a speech at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing during which he pushed for “reunification” with democratically-governed Taiwan.

“National reunification by peaceful means best serves the interests of the Chinese nation as a whole, including our compatriots in Taiwan,” Xi stated.

“Compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait should stand on the right side of history and join hands to achieve China’s complete reunification, and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,” Xi continued, later adding, “Those who forget their heritage, betray their motherland, and seek to split the country will come to no good end; they will be disdained by the people and condemned by history.”

In response to Xi’s latest remarks, Taiwan’s China-policy-making Mainland Affairs Council issued a statement asking that China “abandon its provocative steps of intrusion, harassment and destruction.”

The communist dictatorship has recently ratcheted up its intimidation of Taiwan, sending nearly 150 military jets into Taiwanese airspace over the course of several days at the beginning of October. The island nation responded by scrambling jets “to warn away the Chinese planes, while missile systems were deployed to monitor them,” according to Reuters. New Virus Poses ‘An Existential Threat to Life as We Know It on This Planet’

The Biden administration’s apparent unwillingness to conduct a serious official investigation of the origin of SARS-CoV-2 that holds China accountable for its actions and lack of cooperation could result in a pandemic much more lethal that the current one, warns a leading researcher.

Dr. Steven Quay, whose research became part of a State Department probe of the origin of COVID-19 under President Trump, told Fox News’ Martha MacCallum on Friday that “all of the evidence points toward the lab theory.” . . .

But it’s more vital than ever to stop the dangerous “gain-of-function” research going on at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, he said.

Raw data from patient specimens posted in the National Institutes of Health’s gene bank showed researchers at the Wuhan lab in December 2019 were manipulating genes from the highly lethal Nipah virus, Quay said.

GoFundMe Removes Fundraiser for Lawsuit Opposing Vaccine Mandate, Claims ‘Misinformation’

GoFundMe has taken down a fundraising campaign, which had raised more than $180,000, started in April by a Texas nurse who looked to take legal action to overturn a COVID-19 vaccine mandate because it allegedly violated the company’s “misinformation” policy.

Jennifer Bridges, a former registered nurse at Houston Methodist hospital who was fired after refusing to adhere to the hospital’s vaccine requirement, filed a lawsuit against the company’s mandate in May.

Lawyers for Bridges argued in the complaint that she and several other employees who signed on to the legal challenge were being forced by the hospital to take an “experimental” vaccine.

And while that lawsuit was dismissed in June, Bridges’ attorneys appealed the decision. . .

WATCH: Lieutenant Gov Under Fire After Terming Homosexuality as ‘Filth’

North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson is facing calls to resign after a video emerged of him calling “transgenderism” and homosexuality “filth.”

Robinson, a Republican, said students should not be taught about “transgenderism, homosexuality, any of that filth” in classrooms, prompting calls for his resignation as administrators and parents battle over the oversight of school curricula.

“There’s no reason anybody, anywhere in America should be telling children about transgenderism, homosexuality, any of that filth,” Robinson said in the video, which was filmed in June at Asbury Baptist Church. “And yes, I called it filth.”

The White House, as well as gay and transgender rights groups, condemned his words and called for him to resign.

Third Round of Jan. 6 Subpoenas Target More Citizens Exercising Their Right to Protest; Biden Blocks Trump Executive Action

Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., and Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., unveiled the third round of subpoenas Thursday in their witch hunt over the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. The three new subpoenas target Stop the Steal LLC., along with Ali Alexander and Nathan Martin, who were both organizers of the protest.

“The rally on the Capitol grounds on January 6th, like the rally near the White House that day, immediately preceded the violent attack on the seat of our democracy,” wrote Committee Chair Bennie Thompson of Mississippi on the heel of the new trove of subpoenas, in a statement reported by Politico. “The Select Committee needs to understand all the details about the events that came before the attack, including who was involved in planning and funding them. We expect these witnesses to cooperate fully with our probe.”

Since its inception, however, the Select Committee on Jan. 6 has served as a show trial for Democrats in partnership with a pair of leading NeverTrump Republicans to seek retribution against political dissidents. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tapped Kinzinger and Cheney to serve on the probe after the Democrat barred Republicans Jim Banks, R-Ind., and Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, from the panel.

The committee’s first hearing in July featured a slate of Capitol police officers airing a public vendetta against the former president while lawmakers manufactured tears. One officer, Harry Dunn, had also previously defended the riots that engulfed the nation’s capital last year. The devastation from the two weeks of rioting in the immediate aftermath of George Floyd’s death alone cost an estimated 66 times more than the damage at the Capitol on Jan. 6. Biden Rejects Trump’s Request To Withhold Documents From House Committee Investigating Jan. 6 Attack

By Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. . .President Joe Biden rejected Mr. Trump’s request to block documents from the House committee investigating the insurrection, citing the gravity of the assault on democracy.

“The president’s dedicated to ensuring that something like that could never happen again, which is why the administration is cooperating with ongoing investigations,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Friday.

Mr. Trump swiftly responded by formally claiming executive privilege over about 50 documents requested initially by the select committee and issuing a statement calling Democrats “drunk on power” and insisting that “this assault on the constitution and important legal precedent will not work.”

Meanwhile, urged on by Mr. Trump, his longtime adviser Stephen Bannon told the committee he will not comply with the panel’s sweeping request for documents and testimony.

Members of the committee responded with a threat Friday to pursue criminal charges against Mr. Bannon for refusing to comply with its subpoena, announcing they would consider initiating contempt of Congress proceedings. ‘Civility Is Gone’: Senate Republicans Chew Out Schumer for Speech Even Manchin Called ‘F***Ing Stupid’

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was reportedly chewed out by Senate Republicans and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) after the debt ceiling vote Thursday night.

After the vote to approve the debt ceiling increase, Schumer was “confronted” by Sen. John Thune (R-SD) and Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) for a derogatory floor speech towards Republicans, Politico Playbook reported. Thune reportedly told Schumer his speech was “inappropriate and tone deaf.”

“Republicans played a risky and partisan game, and I am glad their brinkmanship didn’t work,” Schumer said in his remarks, blasting Republicans. “Today’s vote is proof positive that the debt limit can be addressed without going through the reconciliation process, just as Democrats have been saying for months.”

Romney told reporters that “there’s a time to be graceful and there’s a time to be combative, and that was the time for for [sic] grace,” he remarked about Schumer’s speech.

After Schumer’s remarks, the confrontation increased to a “shouting match.” Manchin reportedly sided with Republicans and reportedly approached Schumer afterward and told him his speech was “fucking stupid.”

Biden Lifts Sanctions on Iranian Missile Producers

The Biden administration on Friday lifted sanctions on two Iranian entities involved in military missile programs.

The sanctions, targeting the Mammut Industrial Group (Mammut Industries) and its subsidiary Mammut Diesel, were originally imposed by the Trump administration in September 2020 as part of efforts to increase a maximum pressure campaign of sanctions on Tehran over its nuclear activity and actions in the region criticized as malign and destabilizing.

The move comes as the White House seeks to restart indirect talks between Washington and Tehran on rejoining an international nuclear deal.

The entities were identified as being “key producers and suppliers of military-grade, dual-use goods for Iran’s missile programs.”

They are part of an estimated 1,500 sanctions imposed by the Trump administration since 2018, when then-President Trump withdrew from the international nuclear accord with Iran, called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Former Green Beret Lawmaker Defends Service Member Under Investigation for Trump Rally Appearance

Rep. Michael Waltz, a former Green Beret, is throwing his support behind a Marine currently under investigation for appearing at a Trump rally.

Lance Cpl. Hunter Clark is being investigated for potentially violating the political activities directive within the Department of Defense policy for coming onstage at former President Donald Trump’s Sept. 25 “Save America” rally in Perry, Georgia.

After being called onstage by the former president, Clark introduced himself as “the guy that pulled the baby over the wall,” referencing the viral video of a service member near the gates of Hamid Karzai International Airport amid the tumultuous evacuation efforts during the final stretch of the Afghanistan War .

Waltz, in a letter on Thursday addressed to Gen. David Berger, the commandant of the Marine Corps, said that he does “not believe LCpl Clark violated any policies,” and he urged the military officer to “consider the perspective of conservatives who believe the military is unevenly applying justice to servicemembers who hold conservative beliefs.”

Durham Investigates Pentagon Contractors Who Helped Clinton Campaign Plot Russia Hoax

Cybersecurity experts who held lucrative Pentagon and homeland security contracts and high-level security clearances are under investigation for potentially abusing their government privileges to aid a 2016 Clinton campaign plot to falsely link Donald Trump to Russia and trigger an FBI investigation of him and his campaign, according to several sources familiar with the work of Special Counsel John Durham.

Durham is investigating whether they were involved in a scheme to misuse sensitive, nonpublic internet data, which they had access to through their government contracts, to dredge up derogatory information on Trump on behalf of the Clinton campaign in 2016 and again in 2017, sources say — political dirt that sent FBI investigators on a wild goose chase. Prosecutors are also investigating whether some of the data presented to the FBI was faked or forged.

These sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive law enforcement matter, said Durham’s investigators have subpoenaed the contractors to turn over documents and testify before a federal grand jury hearing the case. The investigators are exploring potential criminal charges including giving false information to federal agents and defrauding the government, the sources said.

The campaign plot was outlined by Durham last month in a 27-page indictment charging former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann with making a false report to the FBI. The document cites eight individuals who allegedly conspired with Sussmann, but does not identify them by name.
