Hospital DENIES Woman Kidney Transplant Due To Being Unvaccinated

A Colorado woman with stage 5 renal failure is scrambling to find a new hospital to perform a kidney transplant after a health system in the state denied the transplant due to her and her donor being unvaccinated against the coronavirus.

“Here I am, willing to be a direct donor to her. It does not affect any other patient on the transplant list,” Jaimee Fougner, Leilani Lutali’s kidney donor, told CBS4. “How can I sit here and allow them to murder my friend when I’ve got a perfectly good kidney and can save her life?”

Lutali said she received a letter from Colorado health system UCHealth at the end of September explaining that she and Fougner have 30 days to begin the vaccine process. They would be removed from the kidney transplant list if they refuse the shots.

“I said I’ll sign a medical waiver. I have to sign a waiver anyway for the transplant itself, releasing them from anything that could possibly go wrong,” said Lutali. “It’s surgery, it’s invasive. I sign a waiver for my life. I’m not sure why I can’t sign a waiver for the COVID shot.”

Two Countries Just Halted Use of the Moderna Vaccine for Certain Groups

An unpublished Nordic study prompted Sweden and Denmark on Wednesday to announce a pause on the use of the Moderna vaccine in younger age groups.

The study, which hasn’t been reviewed yet by the European Medicines Agency, raised concern over the risk of myocarditis and pericarditis in this demographic.

While the risk is small, “the connection is especially clear when it comes to Moderna’s vaccine Spikevax, especially after the second dose,” the Swedish health agency said in a statement, Reuters reports.

According to the agency, the risk was also more prevalent among young men and boys.

Democrats Say They Will Accept Mcconnell Debt Ceiling Offer

Democratic senators on Wednesday signaled they will accept a proposal by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to raise the debt limit for two months to avoid a potential economic crisis.

Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) noted that accepting McConnell’s offer to vote to raise the debt limit to a certain number high enough to cover the nation’s financial obligations until December would amount to “a temporary victory.”

“In terms of a temporary lifting of the debt ceiling, we view that as a victory, a temporary victory with more work to do,” she told CNN’s Jake Tapper.

Baldwin made her comments after leaving a closed-door Senate Democratic Conference meeting where lawmakers discussed McConnell’s offer floated earlier in the day.

Report: Health Officials Tell Biden To Stop Pushing Booster

President Joe Biden in recent weeks has championed COVID-19 vaccine booster shots as a means of strengthening protection against the virus, but now experts are reportedly advising the president’s administration to back off, arguing the science doesn’t justify widespread use of the third shot.

According to Politico, several prominent doctors and scientists outside of the administration held a call with federal officials last week advising against promoting COVID-19 booster shots. These experts said that current data on vaccine performance doesn’t support using booster shots widely to reduce the risk of a breakthrough COVID-19 infection.

The call reportedly took place on Sept. 27, the same day Biden made a big deal out of receiving his booster shot, and included White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci and policy adviser Cameron Webb, as well as the heads of the Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The outside experts advised that booster shots should only be given to “people most at risk of severe Covid-19 to reduce hospitalizations and deaths,” Politico reported. . .

Politico’s sources described the call as “the tensest one to date,” highlighting Fauci’s disagreements with the outside expert’s position on boosters.

The rescheduled call was the tensest one to date, according to the three people with information on the talks. Fauci argued that the CDC committee’s stance — that science did not support giving boosters to all adults — was incorrect. And he dismissed suggestions that the administration had to choose between a broad U.S. booster campaign and donating vaccines to countries in need.

California Students Are Still Stranded in Afghanistan

In August, as the Biden administration began what would become a chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, we learned that some California students and their families were stuck in the country.

San Diego County students who had been unable to flee first made headlines. Then, it was discovered that Sacramento-area students were in the same predicament. The last U.S. planes departed around midnight Aug. 30, though not every American citizen was able to make it aboard.

Although the San Diego students’ situation was the most discussed, there appear to be more students from around Sacramento still in Afghanistan. The situation is ever-changing, but here’s what I was able to find out about the remaining students:

There are dozens of Sacramento-area families still in the country, according to the San Juan Unified School District. Recently, three families — including seven students — made it back to the U.S. But about 38 students are still there. . .

The nearby Sacramento City Unified School District told The Times that an Afghan immigrant family with three children enrolled at Ethel I. Baker Elementary sought help in fleeing. Forget Jan. 6, Trump Urges Probe of ‘Insurrection’ That Took Place Nov. 3

Former President Trump is calling for an investigation of the “insurrection” that happened last Nov. 3.

Democrats and leftists have uniformly used that description for the Jan. 6 events at the U.S. Capitol, where thousands attended a nearby rally with President Trump, and some then walked over to the Capitol building. . .

What lawmakers need to review, he said, is the “insurrection” that “changed last year’s election rules and committee chairman Bennie Thompson’s ties to a black separatist group whose members killed cops decades ago,” a Just the News report said.

“Trump said the real insurrection occurred in connection with the Nov. 3 election when liberals managed to change the rules for elections in key states to, among other things, treat mail-in ballots like ‘junk mail,’ use insecure drop boxes to collect votes, and extend counting deadlines, all in the name of battling the COVID-19 pandemic,” the report said.

While numerous lawsuits over suspicious events during the 2020 election failed to result in any changes, what is not in question is that state and local officials arbitrarily changed state laws regarding ballots in order to accommodate mail-in votes during the COVID-19 pandemic. NASA To Nudge Asteroid To Keep It From Threatening Earth

The U.S. space agency plans to conduct a mission next month to deflect a pair of asteroids far out in deep space to keep them from threatening Earth.

Dubbed the DART Mission, or the Double Asteroid Redirection Test, the National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) will send spacecraft to a pair of asteroids — the Didymos binary — on November 24 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.

NASA considers any near-Earth object (NEO) as “potentially hazardous” if it comes within 0.05 astronomical units (4.6 million miles) and measures more than 460 feet in diameter, said the Mail. “According to the U.S. space agency, there are just over 25,000 NEOs, but many more are waiting to be discovered.”

“DART will be the first demonstration of the kinetic impactor technique, which involves sending one or more large, high-speed spacecraft into the path of an asteroid in space to change its motion,” NASA said in a statement. Confusion, Chaos, War Crimes: Inside the Harrowing First Days of Biden’s Botched Afghanistan Withdrawal

The Biden administration has sought to portray its botched Afghanistan withdrawal as a success, citing the evacuation of over 124,000 people in 16 days.

However, the harrowing first few days of the evacuation showed how little advance planning there was as the Taliban closed in on the capital.

According to several firsthand witnesses, the ensuing panic and chaos created a disaster zone at the Kabul airport that American troops had to gain control of, and in the process, witness war crimes and other human tragedy. . .

Panic ensued at the embassy. The U.S. embassy’s database had to be remotely wiped as employees on the ground in Kabul escaped. Some embassy staff fled without an extra change of clothes or shoes to the Kabul airport, where they stayed for the next two weeks.

An Afghan American who advised four four-star U.S. generals as a GS-15 U.S. government employee with a security clearance was in Afghanistan visiting his sick mother and received no notice from the embassy. Financial Records Show Facebook ‘Whistleblower’ Is Less a Concerned Employee and More a Radical Democrat Activist

Frances Haugen, the so-called Facebook whistleblower who leaked internal documents to the Wall Street Journal lamenting that the Big Tech company wasn’t censoring enough content, is a confirmed left-wing activist and partisan operative, Federal Election Commission records show.

A simple search reveals that Haugen, who previously worked for other tech giants Google and Pinterest, has made more than 40 donations to Democrats totaling more than $2,000 since 2015. She has frequently contributed to ActBlue and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and in January 2020, she gave money to the congressional campaign of radical Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, plus another contribution to AOC’s “Courage to Change” political action committee, according to The Daily Wire. . .

Although Haugen had money to throw at AOC’s campaign, that same month she had enough in unpaid taxes that a $44,000 federal tax lien was placed against her, The Daily Wire also reported, noting that the lien was released earlier this summer.

Now the so-called whistleblower’s lawyers, who are otherwise working pro bono, are trying to raise $100,000 through GoFundMe allegedly to pay for their legal expenses. . .

Haugen’s 15 minutes as the Facebook “whistleblower” thus bears a resemblance to the Ukraine situation. She carefully leaked Facebook documents to the press while working with Zaid as well as Tye and Bakaj, who both used to work for prominent Democrats. Charges Against Marine Who Spoke Out Against Military Leaders Referred to Court-Martial

A military officer who has garnered national headlines for speaking out against Department of Defense leaders had charges against him referred to a court-martial.

Capt. Sam Stephenson, the commanding general of training command, referred six charges to a special court-martial regarding Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller on Wednesday, according to a statement.

Scheller, who is a 17-year infantry officer who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, has been accused of violating the following Uniform Code of Military Justice regulations: Article 88 (contempt toward officials), Article 89 (Disrespect toward superior commissioned officers), Article 90 (willfully disobeying a superior commissioned officer), Article 92 (Dereliction in the performance of duties), Article 92 (Failure to obey order or regulation), and Article 133 (Conduct unbecoming of an officer and a gentleman).

There is no hearing scheduled at this time regarding the charges against Scheller, who gained notoriety for criticizing U.S. military leaders for the execution of the Afghanistan withdrawal . He posted the first of his viral videos the day after an Islamic State terrorist detonated a suicide vest outside an airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, killing 13 U.S. service members and roughly 170 Afghans. The U.S. and NATO allies were conducting a noncombatant evacuation operation for third-country nationals and Afghan allies who could be in danger under the newly formed Taliban government.
