Christians Slam Newsom for ‘Disgusting’ Billboards Quoting Jesus

Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom is taking flak from Christians who are offended by his multi-state billboard campaign that promotes abortion by quoting Jesus.

Last week, Newsom took to Twitter to tout the billboards his gubernatorial campaign is erecting in Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi and four other “anti-freedom” states where abortion is restricted or outlawed.

Some versions of the billboards, all of which urge women in such states to come to California to get abortions, advertise the state’s easily obtainable abortions by quoting Mark 12:31, where Jesus says, “Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater commandment than these.”

Newsom tagged several GOP governors in his Twitter thread, including Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves. The billboards are also going up Indiana, South Carolina and South Dakota.

“The idea that Newsom is using the words of Jesus Christ, the Holy Scriptures, to promote the killing of unborn children as somehow loving and commanded by God is quite frankly disgusting,” said Jay Sekulow, chief counsel of the American Center for Law & Justice, in a statement to Fox News Digital.

Andrew Cuomo Publicly Trashes Biden, Pelosi and Obama

Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) publicly came out shaming the Biden administration for not standing by him during his sexual harassment scandal last year.

Telling a New York Post reporter, Cuomo said that it was “traumatizing” that no one from his party supported him during that time.

Saying that he has been friends with President Joe Biden for almost 20 years, the disgraced governor said that it was “heartbreaking” to see Biden turn his back on him without knowing the full story.

“It was tough. Traumatizing. Biden, a friend 20 years, not knowing details, immediately said about me, ‘He’s got to go.’ Biden had troubles years before and I stood by him… gave him the benefit of the doubt. It was heartbreaking to see him trash me without reading one page, making one phone call,” Cuomo said.

Calling the phrase “political friends” an oxymoron, Cuomo went on to call out House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) and former President Obama, as well as other Democrat figures for not being by his side during the allegations. Canada Reportedly Set to Lift Vaccine Requirements for Travelers at Border

Canada will reportedly lift its vaccine mandate for travelers entering the country at the border starting in October.

The Associated Press reported Wednesday that “an official familiar with the matter” said this week that Canada will drop the vaccine requirement for foriegn nationals. Currently, unvaccinated travelers who are allowed to enter the country undergo mandatory arrival tests and a 14-day quarantine.

The official who spoke on the condition of anonymity reportedly said that Prime Minister Justine Trudeau needs to give “final sign off” on the new policy. In addition, the government will likely drop random COVID-19 testing at airports.

AP noted that unvaccinated professional athletes have not been allowed to cross the border into Canada since the mandate took effect. Ads Pulled For Candidate After Reports He Didn’t Actually Serve in Afghanistan After 9/11

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is scrapping $1 million in scheduled TV ads for GOP congressional candidate J.R. Majewski after military records reportedly revealed he was never stationed in Afghanistan, despite claiming to have served there after the 9/11 terrorist attack.

Majewski, the candidate running against Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur in Ohio’s 9th Congressional District, has been called an Afghanistan veteran for his Air Force service, but military records obtained by the Associated Press reveal that he was never actually stationed there. Following the reports, the NRCC canceled their plans to run ads for Majewski just weeks before the midterm elections.

According to an Associated Press report, military records show that he was in Kadena Air Base in Japan and was later deployed to Qatar, where he spent six months loading and unloading planes at an air base.

Abortion Giant Planned Parenthood Stealth Edits Fetal Heartbeat Fact Sheet

Abortion giant Planned Parenthood reportedly issued a stealth-edit of its fact sheet on fetal development to alter language appearing to support the idea that fetuses indeed have a heartbeat after six weeks in the womb.

Though it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly when Planned Parenthood edited the language, Fox News noted that the organization’s website said that babies have a heartbeat at six weeks as early as July 25 of this year. Life News also noted the change on August 22.

“A very basic beating heart and circulatory system develop,” the original fact-sheet said in its “what happens during week 5-6” section.

The edited section now says the following: “A part of the embryo starts to show cardiac activity. It sounds like a heartbeat on an ultrasound, but it’s not a fully-formed heart — it’s the earliest stage of the heart developing.”

Planned Parenthood’s new fact sheet appears to conflict with the National Library of Medicine, which says that five-week-old fetuses have a “brain, spinal cord, and heart” that begins to develop, which then “beats at a regular rhythm” around six weeks. Illegal Alien Accused of Killing 24-Year-Old Sheriff’s Deputy Had Criminal History but Feds Failed to Deport Him

The illegal alien accused of killing 24-year-old Weld County, Colorado, Sheriff’s Deputy Alexis Hein-Nutz — just one week before her 25th birthday — had a criminal history, but federal agents failed to deport him.

As Breitbart News reported, 36-year-old illegal alien Norberto Garcia-Gonzales has been arrested and charged with killing Hein-Nutz in a hit-and-run drunk driving crash on September 18 just about a week before her 25th birthday.

Garcia-Gonzales was reportedly carrying a fake green card along with a fake Social Security card that he likely used to fraudulently gain employment in Colorado.

New details in the case reveal that Garcia-Gonzales had a criminal record but the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had failed on a number of occasions to deport him from the United States.

In particular, Garcia-Gonzales was apprehended crossing the U.S.-Mexico border in Arizona in March 2007. At the time, he was given a voluntary order to return to Mexico. Insanity: Alleged Killer Freed After Confessing to Mowing Down Teen Over ‘Political Argument’

A suspected killer in North Dakota accused of mowing down an 18-year-old over the teen’s alleged conservative views was quickly released from jail. Townhall was the first to report that 41-year-old Shannon Joseph Brandt, of Glenfield, was freed from a local detention facility just two days after he confessed to hitting Cayler Ellingson, 18, with his car in an apparent politically motivated attack that resulted in the victim’s death.

Jail inmate records show that Brandt was let out sometime on Tuesday and the Stutsman County Correctional Center administrator confirmed to Townhall that the defendant posted a $50,000 bond yesterday. Foster County Sheriff Justin Johnson also verified that Brandt is back on the streets pending his next court appearance.

Since his swift release, Brandt began scrubbing his locked-down social media activity. Then the suspect’s Facebook account was deactivated Wednesday after public comments swarmed his page.

According to the Fargo-based InForum, which broke the news of the Brandt case, the fatal hit-and-run happened early Sunday morning in the rural city of McHenry, where a community “street dance” was wrapping up. GOP Attorney Generals Fight Back Against FBI in Support of Trump Following Raid

By Townhall. A group of GOP attorneys general are fighting to protect former President Trump after the FBI unlawfully raided his Mar-a-Lago residence.

Eleven Republican attorneys general condemned the search of Trump’s Florida home, calling it a “ransacking” effort of the Biden administration to undermine Trump.

Lead by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, the 21-page brief provide four examples, which includes the response to Covid-19 as well as its enforcement of immigration laws. He argues that the Biden administration has “leveraged its power to engage in questionable political gamesmanship” in an effort to convince the courts that the Department of Justice should not have immediate access to the classified documents.

Paxton’s actions are in response to the DOJ’s appeal of a decision to block the agency from viewing classified documents taken from Trump’s property until they can be reviewed by a third party, to which the department has argued that by delaying the investigation it would harm national security. Democrats Could Face an Army of ‘Submerged Voters’ in the Midterms, Pollster Says

Democrats will likely experience more political opposition at the ballot box than expected, thanks to an army of voters that won’t be easy to track.

President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party’s recent attacks against Conservatives are motivating a large coalition of hard-to-poll Americans to vote for the Republican Party in the midterms, according to Robert C. Cahaly, the chief pollster at the Trafalgar Group.

“If the election were tomorrow, Republicans should feel extremely optimistic,” Cahaly told the Daily Caller. “How should they feel in six weeks? There is a lot that can happen in that much time. But for right now, they should feel extremely optimistic.”

Cahaly labeled this new group of voters “submerged voters” in a Twitter thread posted Saturday. These voters will be even harder to poll than in previous elections when left-wing attacks caused supporters of former President Donald Trump to avoid political surveys but not the ballot box, Cahaly tweeted.

When former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called 2016 supporters of former President Donald Trump “‘Deplorables’ and other unflattering names,” those supporters became hesitant to talk about politics publically. Putin Bluster Is All Bluff — He’s Losing at Home and in Ukraine

Make no mistake: Vladimir Putin is losing the war in Ukraine. The menacing speech, broadcasted mysteriously on Wednesday morning instead of the originally scheduled Tuesday night, might be the closest the Russian dictator will ever get to admitting defeat before his hold begins to crumble.

The address had several audiences. For one, it aimed to deter the West from supporting Ukraine by raising the specter of nuclear escalation in defense of annexed territories that will soon become part of the “Motherland.” At home, Putin tried to keep hardline nationalist critics of the conduct of Russia’s military operation at bay by showing that the Kremlin is doubling down on its efforts in the Donbas — while also scrupulously seeking to avoid alienating wider swathes of Russia’s population by pursuing only a “partial” mobilization. . .

If the special military operation was going according to plan, as the Russian officialdom was assuring Russians until today, why has it suddenly become “necessary to support the proposal of the Defense Ministry and the General Staff” to mobilize?

Mobilizing the wider population carries political risks, which is why the Kremlin hesitated until now and why only around 300,000 men will be called to serve, according to the government. Already on Wednesday night, Russian cities saw sizeable protests — at least as measured by standards of a country where public expressions of discontent with the war may land one in jail for 10 or more years. Meanwhile, prices of one-way tickets out of Russia skyrocketed (until 18- to 34-year-old men were banned from leaving the country) and “how to break an arm at home” became a top search term on Russian search engines.

Militarily, calling on the reservists is a desperate move, though congruent with reports of extraordinarily high attrition that Russia is suffering in Ukraine. Normally, months of specialized training would be needed for reservists to fight effectively. Even then, an army needs weapons, equipment, and supplies — all of which are in short supply in Russia. Inevitably, thousands of the undertrained, undermotivated, and undersupplied reservists are bound to die tragic deaths at their first contact with Ukraine’s experienced and well-equipped fighting force — a fact that is a matter of indifference to Putin and his circle, as long as the elite’s children remain exempt from service.
