Biden Makes a Big Move on Taiwan

As President Joe Biden works to confront multiple threats to freedom around the world after botching the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan and failing to dissuade Putin from invading Ukraine, he’s sending more American service members to Taiwan in the face of escalating aggression from Beijing.

According to a dispatch on the development from The Wall Street Journal, the Biden administration is “markedly increasing the number of troops deployed to Taiwan, more than quadrupling the current number to bolster a training program for the island’s military amid a rising threat from China.”

The U.S. plans to deploy between 100 and 200 troops to the island in the coming months, up from roughly 30 there a year ago, according to U.S. officials. The larger force will expand a training program the Pentagon has taken pains not to publicize as the U.S. works to provide Taipei with the capabilities it needs to defend itself without provoking Beijing.

The number of American troops, which has included special-operations forces and U.S. Marines, has fluctuated by a handful during the past few years, according to Defense Department data. The planned increase would be the largest deployment of forces in decades by the U.S. on Taiwan, as the two draw closer to counter China’s growing military power.

Vladimir Putin’s Spiritual Missile Damns America

During his state of the nation address early Tuesday morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin fired a spiritual missile at the United States.

American corporate media framed the 100-minute speech as a defensive rant justifying Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and threatening nuclear war against the West.

That all may be true. But that’s not what I heard. Nuclear missiles don’t scare me. Spiritual missiles do. What Putin said about Western civilization and America spooked me. It caused me to rethink the agenda behind the Russia hoax, the debunked left-wing conspiracy theory that alleged former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election from Hillary Clinton.

Corporate media desperately wants us to believe Trump and Putin are disciples of Satan, the worst international leaders to walk the planet since Adolf Hitler. After yesterday’s speech, I now understand why Putin is dangerous.

He at least pretends to care about God’s will. He called out the West for abandoning biblical values.

“They’re waging increasingly aggressive information attacks,” he said. “First of all targeting the young generations. Lying on every step, distorting historical truth, attacking our culture, the Russian Orthodox Church, and other traditional religious institutions in our country.

“Look at what they’re doing with their own people. They’re destroying the institution of family, their cultural historical identity. And various perversions with regard to children, up to pedophilia, are accepted as the new norm. And priests are forced to recognize and officiate same-sex weddings.”

American politicians, whether Democrat or Republican, refuse to speak the kind of unvarnished truth Putin did on Tuesday. The assault on biblical values goes unchallenged here by elected officials. The new normal here demonizes traditional Christian beliefs. Joe Biden, a self-described Catholic, would never say what Putin did. Angels in Our Midst? One Scientist Explains Why the Bible Supports Extraterrestrials

The White House press secretary might make fun of aliens being in our midst — but according to one scientist, the Bible gives clear evidence that they’ve been operating in our world since time began. . .

Astronomer and physicist Dr. Hugh Ross makes a convincing case that angels are beings that have existed throughout eternity as God’s messengers — and that they operate like any beings would who are not confined to our “space-time dimensions.”

Ross writes in Salvo magazine, “According to the Bible, these creatures differ from humans in that they are not constrained by either the known laws of physics or the known space-time dimensions. Rather, they exist in a realm distinct from the universe, yet have been granted power to enter the human realm for brief episodes — either in physical or nonphysical form.”

On our “Lighthouse Faith” podcast, Ross, founder and director of the nonprofit Reasons To Believe, expands on this scientific analysis of why it’s perfectly acceptable to believe in the existence of angelic beings.

He says, “If you’ve got a causal agent beyond space and time that created the universe, that causal agent could create other things outside the universe and even grants the power to come into the universe and enter the human realm. Cops Rule Suicide in Death of Clinton Aide Linked to Jeffrey Epstein – Who Was Found Shot and Tied to a Tree with an Electrical Cord around His Neck – Despite No Sign of Weapon

By Daily Mail. The grisly scene where a top Bill Clinton adviser was found hanged from a tree with a gunshot wound to his chest has finally been revealed nine months after he died.

But the sheriff’s report into Mark Middleton’s mysterious death raises more questions than answers as it rules he died by suicide – despite no sign of the weapon that killed him.

Middleton, 59, was found dead last May at the Heifer Ranch in Perryville, Arkansas, an hour west of Little Rock.

Release of the report was held up after members of his family petitioned a judge. They were worried that pictures from the gory scene would be made public.

Death of Shot Clinton Aide with Epstein Ties Found Tied to Tree Ruled Suicide — Despite No Gun at Scene

By New York Post. The mysterious death of an aide to President Bill Clinton with ties to Jeffrey Epstein has been officially ruled a suicide – despite there being no sign of a weapon near the body. . .

Almost one year after Middleton’s death, a police report obtained by the outlet this week revealed that the Little Rock businessman was discovered with a gunshot wound to the chest and an extension cord tying his neck to a tree.

“I could see the male was obviously deceased,” Deputy Jeremy Lawson of the Perry County Sheriff’s Department wrote of his arrival at the grisly scene.

Notably, Lawson’s account includes that while officers located a gun case and three boxes of buckshot in Middleton’s BMW SUV, there was no weapon in sight.

Though the father of two worked for his family’s HVAC business in the years before his death, he previously enjoyed a high-flying lifestyle as special advisor to Clinton and assistant to the Chief of Staff, Thomas F. “Mack” McLarty. Walmart Executives Predict How Long ‘Stubborn’ Food Inflation Will Last

Walmart executives projected during an investors call on Tuesday that food inflation will remain persistent for the foreseeable future.

Even as headline inflation statistics declined from 9.1% in June 2022 to 6.4% in January 2023, an increase in food prices has been especially salient for households attempting to make ends meet, according to recent data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Costs for food at home increased 11.3% between January 2022 and January 2023, while costs for food away from home rose 8.2% over the same period.

An analyst asked Walmart U.S. CEO John Furner and Walmart CEO Douglas McMillon during the grocery behemoth’s fourth-quarter earnings call whether the company expects food inflation trends to worsen or improve relative to other product categories. Furner remarked that food inflation “has been the most stubborn” driver of elevated price levels and noted that only “a little bit” has declined in the past several months. “We would have hoped and expected it to have come back more than it has going into this year,” he responded.

McMillon added that dry grocery items and consumables are the most “stubborn” and said that inflationary pressures in the categories would “be with us for a while.” He went on to say future nominal disinflation would nevertheless compound price increases from previous years.

“You’ll probably hear inflation numbers that start to sound lower, but you’ll have to remember that’s on a two-year stack,” McMillon continued. “So if inflation in dry grocery and consumables is only 3% or 5%, that’s on top of 15%. Some on the left have been trying to rehabilitate Joe Biden from the incompetent, incoherent bumbler he truly has been into some kind of statesman with this trip to Ukraine and Poland.

But as I noted, even that is in some measure fake. They notified Russia in advance that he was going so they wouldn’t do anything near him that could put him in danger. Then even though there were no Russian missiles or airstrikes, as both CNN and Reuters acknowledged, suddenly air raid sirens went off right when he was walking down the street with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, to help the picture being painted of Biden as some kind of brave character. Talk about staged.

This morning on MSNBC, you had a former CIA guy/MSNBC “analyst” trying to paint Biden as the “savior of Europe.” . . .

That, of course, is demonstrably untrue. Let’s review the facts. Trump was president and Russia didn’t invade under him. They did invade under Obama/Biden, and now under Biden again. Obama/Biden pretty much did nothing in response the first time – they were reluctant to even provide Ukraine weapons. Trump provided them with weapons. Then Joe Biden gave a very bad signal that “minor incursions” might be okay with him and he lifted sanctions on Nord Stream 2. . .

What did our estimable leader Joe Biden say in response to Russia’s thumbing its nose at him? “I don’t have time,” Biden responded, with a weird smirk, after he looked lost and tried to figure out how to stand properly for a photo-op in Poland.

As the groundwork is being laid for the Georgia child-prostitution-and-pornography trial of Zachary and William Zulock, an activist LGBTQ couple facing multiple life sentences for allegedly raping, filming, and pimping out their adopted 9- and 11-year-old sons to other gay men in a suburban pedophile ring, one of the co-defendants is considering a plea deal, Townhall has learned.

From behind bars, Zachary divulged in a secret handwritten letter to an “old co-worker” and a former roommate that he is willing to arrange a plea agreement for reduced prison time, as Tuesday’s update on the stomach-churning Zulock case revealed. “Let’s…contact the DA directly maybe and try to set a deal,” Zachary, who has pled not guilty, wrote in the confidential note.

After his “numerous” failed attempts to personally negotiate with the Walton County district attorney, Zachary was advised to “proceed cautiously,” “speak little,” and take heed that any communications—written or spoken—”can be used against you” in a court of law. “i was trying so hard to get the […] DA involved and hear my side and work with me, its just so hard to do it from inside here,” Zachary pleaded in messages to a relative, whose whistleblowing has since sparked a firestorm in the courtroom.

A gag order was proposed by the prosecution at a pair of back-to-back motion hearings on Feb. 1 where Judge Jeffrey Foster sternly warned the Zulock co-defendants to be “much more guarded” with third-party conversations “in light of the circumstances,” referring to their taped jail calls and text exchanges with the family member that have been leaked to Townhall. President Joe Biden tripped and fell up the stairs while attempting to board Air Force One in Poland Wednesday. . .

This isn’t the first time Biden has shown trouble getting up the stairs into Air Force One. In March 2021, he fell multiple times ahead of a trip to Atlanta. The White House reported no injuries at the time.

The Doctors Failed Me: Detransitioned Woman Sues Eight Health Care Workers Who Helped Her Change

A detransitioned woman who underwent surgery to remove her breasts and uterus is suing the healthcare providers who are reported to have facilitated her transition.

Michelle Zacchigna, 34, has filed a lawsuit against the eight doctors and mental health professionals who prescribed her testosterone treatments and gave her a bilateral mastectomy and a hysterectomy during what she says was a mental health crisis.

Over a ten year period, she went from seeing a therapist to being referred for hormone therapy by doctors who she had limited interaction with, including one she says she spoke to for less than an hour, to undergoing irreversible surgery and deciding mental health diagnoses better explained her condition than anything else in 2020.

‘I will live the rest of my life without breasts, with a deepened voice and male-pattern balding, and without the ability to get pregnant,’ she wrote.

Grand Jury Forewoman in Trump Case Goes on Bizarre Media Tour, Panicking Left

The forewoman of the Georgia grand jury investigating former President Donald Trump has appeared repeatedly on television, laughing about the investigation and apparently hinting at what the jury has decided before any indictments have been handed down, a move progressives fear could derail any possible criminal case against Trump.

Emily Kohrs revealed her identity on Tuesday and has done interviews with The Associated Press, The New York Times, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, MSNBC and CNN about her experience on the jury, which met between May and January to discuss Trump’s alleged interference in the 2020 election.

Kohrs — the only juror to come forward — told the Journal-Constitution that she felt “amazement at the media attention she had received over the last several hours.”

Kohrs laughed when CNN asked her how many people the jury recommended for indictment.

“I’m hesitant to speak to something that the judge made a decision not to share … The sections [of the grand jury report] that were removed were consciously chosen to be removed, and I don’t want to say ‘I have better judgment than the judge,’” Kohrs said while smiling and rolling her eyes.
