Karine Jean-Pierre Couldn’t Keep a Straight Face While Claiming Biden ‘Follows the Law’

In one of the week’s final White House press briefings before President Joe Biden departs the White House for yet another long weekend, the president’s Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made what is on its face a laughably false claim.

When asked about Biden’s planned travel to Ireland and who would be covering the travel costs of family members set to join him, Jean-Pierre didn’t have an answer. All she could say is that Biden handles family travel on official trips like “other families.”

Continuing, Jean-Pierre claimed that “of course, the president is a president [who] follows the law and does these type of things in the appropriate fashion and the appropriate way.” Is this Jean-Pierre’s idea of a delayed April Fools’ Day joke? And why did she let out a chuckle when she claimed that Biden is Mr. Law and Order? Watch:

Here’s the thing: Biden has frequently not followed the law. And he’s repeatedly done so in a way that was found to be in violation of the United States Constitution by the Supreme Court of the United States. You Won’t Believe the Most Outrageous Claim in the Trump Indictment

The Donald Trump indictment is our Late Roman Republic cirque du jour, and until now I’ve recused myself from writing about it. I had to wait for that one tiny detail to emerge, that one giant tell, so absurd that it required the special attention of the man who invented drunkblogging. . .

To see that absurdity in all its slimy glory, we must venture now to the pages of POLITICO, the semi-official mouthpiece of all goodthinking Outer Party swamp-dwellers.

“The statement of facts [Manhattan District Attorney Alvin] Bragg filed along with the indictment makes a surprising claim,” and when Gerstein describes it as “surprising,” what I took away from it was “gob-smackingly stupid.” The problem, you see, is “that Trump and his associates engaged in deception by paying New York state more in taxes than it was owed.”

Trump cheated on his taxes by paying too much in taxes? What was he supposed to be distracting us from — that Orange Man Bad because Orange Man Bad? . . .

Why Stormy Daniels Was Just Ordered to Pay Donald Trump $122K

Adult film star Stormy Daniels was in the news quite a bit this week, especially on Tuesday, as former President Donald Trump was formally processed and arraigned in a Manhattan courthouse on 34 charges related to allegedly improper hush money payments to Daniels and another woman during the 2016 presidential campaign.

But, in something of a strange twist of fate, Tuesday also put Daniels’ name — legally Stephanie Clifford — in the news when the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against Daniels and ordered her to reimburse Trump for $121,972.56 worth of legal fees.

The 9th Circuit’s order explains:

Under the Texas Citizens Participation Act (TCPA), Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem. Code § 27.009(a)(1), attorneys’ fees in the amount of $121,972.56 are awarded in favor of appellee Donald J. Trump and against appellant Stephanie Clifford.

Mom Sues School That Allegedly Hid Girl’s Gender Transition, Provided Chest Binders

A mom is suing a Maine school district that allegedly kept her daughter’s gender transition a secret and provided the 13-year-old girl with multiple chest binders.

During the 2022-2023 school year, Amber Lavigne allegedly discovered that a social worker at Great Salt Bay Community School gave her 13-year-old daughter two chest binders to aid in a gender transition, advising her to not tell her mother. The Goldwater Institute filed a Tuesday lawsuit against Great Salt Bay Community School and Samuel Roy, the social worker, on behalf of Lavigne for allegedly violating her constitutionally granted parental rights.

“This was no accident: my daughter’s public school counselor deliberately tried to keep me in the dark, encouraging my daughter’s gender transition and encouraging her to hide it from me,” Lavigne said in a press release. “When school officials found out, they actually defended the counselor’s actions, trampling on my constitutional rights at every turn. I deserve to know what’s happening to my child—the secrecy needs to stop.”

School officials allegedly began to address Lavigne’s daughter by a male pronouns and a different name without informing or receiving permission from Lavigne, the lawsuit stated. When Lavigne brought her concerns about the chest binder to administration, they allegedly denied that the school was helping her daughter secretly transition and did not give her paperwork regarding the child’s gender change.

University’s Woke Guideline Basically Bans Words

The latest “inclusive language” guide offering comes from Michigan State University where now even words like “bunny,” “gift” and “nickname” are considered offensive.

The guide, courtesy of the school’s Brand Studio, states that “in alignment with strategic efforts around diversity, equity and inclusion […] Michigan State University values communications practices that support belonging for all Spartans.” . . .

Under the guide’s Gender and Sexuality section, officials recommend avoiding terms like “female” (“reduces women to their assumed biological anatomy”), “sex change” (“gender transition” is better) and “nickname.” In this age of gender fluidity and gender pronouns, using “nickname” could “imply that a person’s name is a substitute for their legal name.”

In the Race and Ethnicity section, terms to avoid include “Blacks” (allegedly derogatory), “Caucasian” and “racial minority” (reasons not explained), and “at-risk.” The latter supposedly puts the onus of responsibility on the individual rather than “structural” factors.

The section on disability deems all of the following terms “ableist”: “crazy,” “insane,” “bonkers,” “nuts,” “psycho,” “demented,” “senile,” “loony,” “lunatic,” “psychotic,” “addict,” “invalid,” “vegetable,” “paralyzed,” “lame,” “madhouse,” “tone-deaf,” “spazzing out,” “braindead” and “blindly.” (Read more from “University’s Woke Guideline Basically Bans Words” HERE)

Here Are the Brands That Have Sponsored Trans Activist Dylan Mulvaney

Transgender activist and social media star Dylan Mulvaney has garnered criticism for his several brand deals featuring elements of his purported transition into girlhood.

Mulvaney, a man who identifies as a woman, has acquired millions of followers on TikTok over the past several months. He garnered controversy over the past weekend when he posted a video advertising for Bud Light’s March Madness contest. Bud Light confirmed that it has a brand partnership with Mulvaney on Tuesday, claiming it is part of an effort to “authentically connect” with customers. . .

Mulvaney, a former actor who held roles in various Broadway musicals, has been especially criticized for his marketing deals with companies such as makeup brand Ulta Beauty and fashion house Kate Spade, both of which prompted accusations that he was insulting women and provoked ire among the companies’ consumer bases. . .

His TikTok account has also shown him ordering a pizza from grocery delivery service Instacart to celebrate a “sleepover” and live the “moments of girlhood” he missed, using Crest toothpaste and discussing his expected dating life, and applying products from skin care brand CeraVe. ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ Trailer Sneaks in ‘Protect Trans Kids’ Flag

The latest trailer for Sony’s animated Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is promoting gender transitions for children by sneaking in a transgender flag with the words “Protect Trans Kids.”

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which is set to open in cinemas June 2, is the sequel to the Oscar-winning 2018 Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which was a box-office hit grossing $375.5 million worldwide.

The new movie continues the story of Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, who in the first movie assumed the mantle of Spider-Man from Queens-native Peter Parker. On Tuesday, Sony dropped the new trailer, which has been viewed more than 16 million times on YouTube.

Chinese Regime-Approved Social Media Says Trump Arrest Could Lead to U.S. ‘Civil War’

Chinese Communist Party censors allowed users on its state-controlled site Weibo to comment extensively on the arrest of American former President Donald Trump on Tuesday, resulting in many cheering on the decline of the United States and predicting a civil war.

Trump was arrested and arraigned in Manhattan on Tuesday, indicted on 34 charges of fabricating business documents. The charges stem from alleged money paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels, according to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. During remarks late Tuesday, Bragg claimed that the alleged fabrications were related to attempts to “cover up crimes relating to the 2016 election.” . . .

Weibo, the most popular Chinese regime-approved social media site in the country, had the news of Trump’s arrest on its front page as of Wednesday morning Eastern time, flooded with thousands of user comments. As the Chinese government strictly censors any content it considers contrary to Communist Party ideology or the interests of dictator Xi Jinping, observers can consider the thousands of reactions to Trump’s arrest still publicly available to be consistent with Beijing’s stance. Many of the comments furthermore echoed propaganda in the pages of the Global Times and Xinhua News Agency, two of China’s biggest government-run propaganda sites. . .

Other comments on the Weibo page included users joking that America would not exist after 136 years and mocking Trump with the nickname “Comrade Jianguo,” which emerged during Trump’s presidency. The nickname, which means “build the country,” is meant to mock Trump by claiming that his American policies are hurting the United States and thus helping China progress.

Yet other users claimed that Trump’s arrest was a sign of the “Koreanization” of American politics, an apparent reference to the fact that South Korea has prosecuted multiple recent presidents, most prominently conservative ex-President Park Geun-hye. Park was sentenced to 24 years in prison in 2018 for, among other allegations, allowing a high-ranking member of a cult access to sensitive national security addresses. Bragg’s Press Release Leads Liberals to Believe Trump Had Child Out of Wedlock. His Own Docs Cast Doubt on Untrue Claim

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s Tuesday press release led some liberals to believe that former President Donald Trump had a child out of wedlock, though Bragg’s own documents have cast doubt on the claim.

Bragg’s press release on Trump’s indictment stated that American Media Inc. (AMI) — a media company that allegedly worked with Trump’s team to “catch and kill” negative stories before the 2016 election — “paid $30,000 to a former Trump Tower doorman, who claimed to have a story about a child TRUMP had out of wedlock.”

Liberal social media users jumped on the statement, with many taking the allegation as fact.

Although Bragg’s press release was technically true, it was missing context. His own Statement of Facts, linked on the DA website, stated that AMI had “concluded” that the doorman’s claims were false, but still wanted to keep him quiet until after the election.

“When AMI later concluded that the story was not true, the AMI CEO wanted to release the Doorman from the agreement. However, Lawyer A instructed the AMI CEO not to release the Doorman until after the presidential election, and the AMI CEO complied with that instruction because of his agreement with the Defendant and Lawyer A,” the Statement of Facts read. Donald Trump Calls on Republicans to Defund the DOJ and FBI

Republicans in Congress should defund the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), at least temporarily, former President Donald Trump said on Wednesday morning, the day after his arraignment in New York City.

“REPUBLICANS IN CONGRESS SHOULD DEFUND THE DOJ AND FBI UNTIL THEY COME TO THEIR SENSES,” Trump wrote in an all caps post on Truth Social, concluding Democrats have weaponized law enforcement and are attempting to interfere in the upcoming election.

He continued: “THE DEMOCRATS HAVE TOTALLY WEAPONIZED LAW ENFORCEMENT IN OUR COUNTRY AND ARE VICIOUSLY USING THIS ABUSE OF POWER TO INTERFERE WITH OUR ALREADY UNDER SIEGE ELECTIONS!”
