U.S. Military Kills More Top Iranian-Backed Terrorist Leaders; WATCH: Iraqi Citizens Dance in the Street ‘for Freedom’ After U.S. Airstrike Kills Iranian Terrorist Leader

By Daily Wire. The United States reportedly took out more top Iranian-backed terrorist leaders in Iraq late on Friday night in airstrikes in northern Baghdad.

The Associated Press reported: “Iraqi official says airstrike hits cars carrying Iran-backed militia north of Baghdad.”

“Air strikes targeting Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces umbrella grouping of Iran-backed Shi’ite militias near camp Taji north of Baghdad have killed six people and critically wounded three, an Iraqi army source said late on Friday,” Reuters reported. “Two of the three vehicles making up a militia convoy were found burned, the source said, as well as six burned corpses. The strikes took place at 1:12 am local time, he said.” (Read more from “U.S. Military Kills More Top Iranian-Backed Terrorist Leaders” HERE)

Iran Promises Revenge for Leader’s Killing

By AP. Iran promised to seek revenge for a U.S. airstrike near Baghdad’s airport that killed the mastermind of its interventions across the Middle East, and the U.S. said Friday it was sending thousands more troops to the region as tensions soared in the wake of the targeted killing. The death of Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s elite Quds Force, marks a major escalation in the standoff between Washington and Iran . . . WATCH: Liberal Law Professor Noted Something Odd About Schumer’s Trump Impeachment Speech

By Townhall. . .It’s weak sauce, but the Russian collusion narrative was kaput, bullet-riddled by the facts. The 2020 election is here, so this was their best case. The House passed the articles of impeachment which were grounded in abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, two charges that reek of partisanship. It’s a witch hunt. It’s a joke. And the Senate awaits the transmission of those articles, which are being held hostage by Speaker Nancy Pelosi because they know it faces certain death with the Republican majority in the upper chamber. That’s not her call and her withholding of the articles creates a possible constitutional crisis of its own. Senate Democrats say they want witnesses and new documents included. They know Senate Republicans won’t budge, so this Mexican standoff continues all while Democrats and the liberal media can keep the Trump impeachment echo chamber loaded with sound. They still think they can put a dent in Trump’s approval numbers. They’ve only gone up and swing-state voters have never found this push popular. Still, the goal, as Wall Street Journal’s Kimberley Strassel noted, is “rolling impeachment.” Just keep this story around in the news cycle. A trial would further embarrass the shoddy case the Left has against Trump. It’s about keeping the appearance alive. Schumer now says that there has never been an impeachment trial where the Senate was denied testimony from witnesses.

Law professor Jonathan Turley, who may lean Left but isn’t an ideologue and will call out his side for their antics, noted that this was odd coming from a politician who didn’t want witnesses when Bill Clinton was impeached.

Impeachment Trial in Limbo as Senate Leaders Trade Blows

By Politico. Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer have made zero headway on designing a bipartisan set of rules for President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial more than two weeks after their first face-to-face meeting on the matter.

The two leaders gave dueling floor speeches on Friday but held no substantive meeting. In a brief conversation on the floor, Schumer told McConnell to focus on his demands. . .

As the Senate waits for the House to send it impeachment articles, McConnell said the Senate will continue its normal business and immediately moved to set up a vote on Trump’s Small Business Administration nominee next week. The House could transmit the articles as soon as next week.

“We are content to continue the ordinary business of the Senate while House Democrats continue to flounder. For now,” McConnell said. “If they ever muster the courage to stand behind their slapdash work product and transmit their articles to the Senate, it will then be time for the United States Senate to fulfill our founding purpose.” (Read more from “Impeachment Trial in Limbo as Senate Leaders Trade Blows” HERE)

Google Cuts Ties With Chinese Company Over Smart Home Spying

Silicon Valley tech giant Google has suspended the integration of some of its hardware and services with Chinese company Xiaomi after a user who connected a Xiaomi camera to his Google Home Hub revealed that he was able to see into other users’ homes, including sleeping children.

Business Insider reports that Silicon Valley tech giant Google has suspended the integration between Xiaomi devices and Google software and services. The decision comes after a user with a Xioami home security camera claims that he was able to see into other users’ homes after linking the camera to his Google Home Hub.

Reddit user /u/Dio-V claimed in a post in the Google Home subreddit that they were able to see images from other users Xiaomi Mijia smart security cameras on their Google Home Hub. The user posted a video of which showed them attempting to view the livestream from their own security camera on the device, which then glitches and shows random images from other users’ devices.

The Reddit user posted a number of other random images that appeared on their device, including a man asleep on a chair, and a sleeping baby. Other users stated that the glitch was “so f***ed up” and “so creepy.” (Read more from “Google Cuts Ties With Chinese Company Over Smart Home Spying” HERE)

WATCH: Police Officer Pays for Hungry Shoplifters’ Groceries

Field Training Officer Kenneth Martin was named “Employee of the Month” by his department for an act of compassion toward a desperate pair of would-be thieves.

Martin was one of two officers called to a Fort Smith Walmart for the apprehension of a small family of shoplifters. A husband, wife, and their young children had been caught trying to steal food from the international retail chain. While the man was arrested, Martin released the mother to take her children home.

That simple act of mercy might have been enough, but the Arkansas policeman was not satisfied to break even in front of hungry children in the dregs of winter. The officer’s own body camera captured his answer: “Their stealing food and they’ve got kids,” Martin said. “I have to take him to jail, but I don’t have to make the kids think I’m an ******.”

Iraqi Militant Leader Warns of ‘Upcoming Battle’ With U.S., Promises ‘Great Victory’; U.S. Sending Thousands of Troops to Middle East in Response to Iran Threat

By Daily Caller. The new leader of the pro-Iranian Iraqi militant force who is believed to be the author of last week’s attack on the United States embassy in Baghdad is calling Friday for an “upcoming battle” with Americans in Iraq.

Qais al-Khazali said that he is putting his militia on “high alert” following a U.S. attack ordered by President Donald Trump that killed Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani and Iraqi militia commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, formerly the leader of Kata’ib Hezbollah, known as the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), an Iraqi paramilitary group with terrorist designs.

“All fighters should be on high alert for upcoming battle and great victory. The price for the blood for the martyred commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis is the complete end to American military presence in Iraq,” local TV channel al-Ahd, which maintains connections to his militant force, quoted Khazali, according to The New York Times. Prince Andrew ‘Begged’ Ghislaine Maxwell to Clear His Name – She Refused; Jeffrey Epstein’s Body Being Moved After Suicide ‘Not Normal’

By Stuff. Prince Andrew begged US sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged “madam” to clear his name by publicly defending him but she refused, it has been claimed.

British heiress Ghislaine Maxwell is the only other person said to have been present on the night US woman Virginia Roberts Giuffre has alleged she was forced to sleep with the prince when she was 17. He categorically denies the allegations.

“Andrew pleaded with Ghislaine to publicly defend him,” a source told the New York Post. “She carefully considered it, but decided no good would come of it. It isn’t in her best interests.”

As a result, the Duke of York went ahead with his own disastrous television interview that effectively resulted in his sacking from public duties.

Maxwell, a close friend of the prince’s, went into hiding after Epstein killed himself in prison in August while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. It was claimed yesterday that she is being protected by her network of powerful friends and associates in “safe houses” all over the world. Jeffrey Epstein’s Body After Suicide Shouldn’t Have Been Moved, According to Federal Prison Guidelines

By NY Daily News. The guards who moved billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s body from a Manhattan prison cell after his jailhouse suicide violated federal protocol, according to a new report.

“No, that’s not normal,” said forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden in a “60 Minutes” interview airing Sunday on CBS. “The EMS people normally, and especially in a jail, should not move a dead body.”

Under federal Bureau of Prisons protocol, a suicide scene must be treated with the “same level of protection as any crime scene in which a death has occurred.”

Epstein, 66, was discovered by federal corrections guards shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 10, with one of the workers heard saying “Breathe Epstein, breathe,” according to the CBS report. He was taken to New York Presbyterian-Lower Manhattan Hospital, but was already beyond resuscitation.

Baden, a nationally-renowned pathologist hired by Epstein’s brother Mark to investigate the death, believes the federal inmate died about two hours earlier. (Read more from “Jeffrey Epstein’s Body After Suicide Shouldn’t Have Been Moved, According to Federal Prison Guidelines” HERE)

Democrats Press Supreme Court for Quick Decision to Save Obamacare

A coalition of blue states and congressional Democrats asked the Supreme Court Friday to salvage the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) individual mandate, after a federal appeals court declared it unconstitutional.

The petitions also urged the justices to hear the appeal on an expedited basis and ensure the dispute is resolved by the end of the high court’s term in June. The request is unusual, and the justices may prefer a slower pace.

“The lower courts have struck down a federal statutory provision on constitutional grounds and cast doubt on the validity of the entire ACA, arguably the most consequential package of legislative reforms of this century,” the blue state petition reads. “That uncertainty threatens adverse consequences for patients, providers, and insurers nationwide.”

“Under these circumstances, this Court should grant immediate review and resolve the case this Term,” it adds.

Congressional Democrats filed their petition separately. Both the House and the blue states proposed a case schedule culminating with oral arguments in late April. The states also broached the possibility of a special sitting in May to hear the dispute. A decision would follow in June. The Death of Iranian Gen. Soleimani Is About Long-Overdue Justice

As we watched Iranian-backed Shiite terrorist groups attack our embassy in Baghdad, many were in favor of a robust retaliation for the attack. What the U.S. military under the orders of President Trump delivered last night was even more than retaliation for the attack on the embassy: It was retaliation for decades’ worth of unanswered American blood spilt by Iran’s external paramilitary forces, led by Qassem Soleimani.

We have clearly intervened in numerous Middle Eastern theaters over the years that we should never have been involved in. But at every stage, Iran has been attacking and killing hundreds of our soldiers: Sacking the embassy in Tehran in 1979, the 241 Marines killed in the 1983 Beirut bombing, the killing of 19 airmen at the Khobar Towers in 1996, or the over 600 U.S soldiers estimated to have been killed directly or indirectly by Soleimani’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) during the Iraq war. More recently, Iran captured our naval ships in 2016 and humiliated our sailors in what should have been viewed as an act of war, yet Obama did nothing. Well, actually, he transferred $150 billion to Iran, so it was worse than nothing.

Trump has laid down a new set of parameters. Soleimani was reportedly disembarking from a plane at the Baghdad airport and being greeted by Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the head of Kata’ib Hezbollah, when an airstrike killed them both. Kata’ib Hezbollah was the primary militia responsible for the attacks on our base near Kirkuk last Thursday and the Baghdad embassy this week. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called out al-Muhandis by name earlier this week, tweeting out a picture of him leading the attack with the militiamen.

Going forward, the best outcome is a coherent strategy in the Middle East, but the next best outcome is justice against Iran’s most potent external force that has threatened us for decades. The killing of Soleimani is justice for the blood of American soldiers on his hands, but it will hopefully also serve as a turning point in reorienting our focus in the Middle East to one of “strike and maneuver” against enemies that affect our interests, rather than holding and building ground on behalf of Islamic tribal factions in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan.

The death of Soleimani is a bigger deal than the death of ISIS leader Abu al-Baghdadi in October. As I’ve noted before, Sunni terrorists, lacking a nation-state, do not fundamentally threaten our interests except through immigration when we let their operatives or adherents into our country. Iran, on the other hand, had the ability to attack us for years, threaten shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Aden, and take the fight closer to our homeland through Hezbollah’s global network in Latin America. Soleimani was the most trusted and tenacious general of the ruling mullahs, whose goal was solely focused on external hegemony, not just in the Middle East, but even in our hemisphere.

Moreover, the elimination of Soleimani finally confirms to the mullahs that Trump is not a paper tiger and that we are willing to use our air assets anywhere, any time, if they continue attacking our strategic interests. But the key going forward is to identity those strategic interests.

The focus in the long run should not be saving the incorrigible Iraqi nation from either Iran or the Sunni terrorists. The Iraqi prime minister already condemned our airstrike. His government is not worth our time and money, much less the blood of our soldiers. Rather, our objective should be drawing a clear line around our limited interests and assets and ensuring that anything that threatens them is met with painful repercussions. We should not conflate the need to deter Iran and project power in the face of its belligerence with the false notion that keeping our soldiers flung out precariously throughout Iraq on an interminable nation-building mission is somehow in our country’s interests in the first place.

We need to move toward more air and naval supremacy to keep the shipping lanes open while concurrently crushing Iran with sanctions and the constant threat of a punitive strike. We can cripple the mullahs with the soft power of fomenting the already growing rebellion at home without getting involved in nation-building either in Iraq or Iran. Continuing to leave so many assets in Iraq itself will just make us vulnerable to Iran’s attacks and counterattacks in the future. Much like a father who destroys a bees’ nest from which a bee emerged to sting his child, it makes sense to hit Iran strongly for attacking our soldiers. But in the long run, we need to ask why we have our heads three inches from the bees’ nest to begin with, when not only is it imprudent in its own right, but it prevents us from actually striking the nest from a position of strength, without fear of collateral damage. It’s time to take that collateral damage off the table.

Meanwhile, we need to focus on our own homeland. Iran, more than any other entity, through its foreign operative unit, known as Hezbollah Unit 910, can strike us at any time. Thanks to irresponsible immigration policies, we’ve admitted thousands of unvetted Lebanese Shiites over the past two decades. Several Unit 910 members have already been caught and indicted by the Justice Department. These are heavily trained paramilitary operatives who have the ability to strike targets in this country.

That has always been the imminent danger of Iran, at least until its regime develops nuclear weapons, and that is why it’s so much more important to focus on the Iranians and their Western Hemisphere operations than on the Sunnis. They have a global network backed by a state that can use migrants from both Iran and Lebanon to harm us. Now is the time to push a moratorium of visas from places like Lebanon and have the FBI and DHS double down on efforts to keep tabs on those already in the country.

We face a time of potential peril for our soldiers abroad and our citizens at home in the coming days. But in this act, justice was served. (For more from the author of “The Death of Iranian Gen. Soleimani Is About Long-Overdue Justice” please click HERE)

Now 18 of 27 GOP Governors Are Requesting Refugee Resettlement – Without Any Dissent

Shutting down the refugee resettlement scam and transformation of our communities was one of Trump’s campaign promises. Unfortunately, when it comes to the key issues that propelled Trump into office, elected Republicans side with Democrats. Nowhere is this more evident than on the issue of refugee resettlement.

Last week, I reported that, despite record illegal immigration draining resources in the states, 15 GOP governors requested refugee resettlement, after the State Department required their consent in order for contractors to begin resettling in a given jurisdiction. Now, as conservatives remain complacent in this fight, 18 GOP governors have requested resettlement:

Kim Reynolds of Iowa

Doug Ducey of Arizona

Kevin Stitt of Oklahoma

Bill Lee of Tennessee

Doug Burgum of North Dakota

Kristi Noem of South Dakota

Chris Sununu of New Hampshire

Gary Herbert of Utah

Pete Ricketts of Nebraska

Jim Justice of West Virginia

Eric Holcomb of Indiana

Phil Scott of Vermont

Charlie Baker of Massachusetts

Mike DeWine of Ohio

Asa Hutchinson of Arkansas

Mike Parsons of Missouri

Brad Little of Idaho

Larry Hogan of Maryland

As you can see, most of these governors reside in states Trump carried by overwhelming margins. That is the result of Trump voters lulled into a false sense of security that Trump alone can stop the open-borders movement. However, the other elected GOP officials have not become more Trumpian in recent years.

Not only are GOP governors consenting to refugee resettlement, but even Republican-controlled counties are lining up for the social transformation. Pursuant to Trump’s executive order, refugees cannot be settled in a given county without the consent of the county’s governing body, in addition to the governor’s overall statewide consent. While most counties have remained silent, Twin Falls County, Idaho, just sent its consent to the State Department. Trump carried this county by 46 points, the same margin by which he carried Burleigh County, North Dakota, another red county that agreed to resettle more refugees. Who needs Democrats?

Just nine of the 27 GOP governors remain on the sidelines, and none have definitively rejected resettlement. Texas Governor Greg Abbott is the biggest remaining fish, given that Texas has been the largest refugee resettlement state. How hard could it be for him to announce that in light of record high illegal immigration straining local Texas communities beyond belief this year, the state will not accept more refugees? Remember, what we must deal with from south of the border is just as costly as refugee resettlement and greater in numbers than what Europe deals with in terms of either refugees or illegal immigration. It makes no sense to bring in more people from another hemisphere when we are dealing with our own refugee problem from Central America.

Shame on these governors for opting to join Open Borders Inc. and subjecting their citizens to more social transformation and the fiscal cost of endless third world immigration. But shame on us if they continue to get re-elected. Doug Burgum of North Dakota, Chris Sununu of New Hampshire, Gary Herbert of Utah, Jim Justice of West Virginia, Eric Holcomb of Indiana, Phil Scott of Vermont, and Mike Parsons of Missouri are all up for re-election this year. The primaries are just a few months away. If conservatives can’t even oust RINO governors in states Trump carried by wide margins, like West Virginia, Missouri, North Dakota, Utah, and Indiana, then there is no future for us in the Republican Party.

Opting out of open borders is our version of a Brexit vote. Are we going to allow the U.N., State Department bureaucrats, and private self-serving taxpayer-funded contractors to transform our neighborhoods with transnational gangs and dozens of foreign languages in our school systems, or will we seize control of our own destiny? Trump gave us that vote by allowing states and counties to decide, but only one side is getting involved.

Trump further has an obligation to make it clear to his voters that if candidates emerge to challenge the open-borders incumbent Republicans, then he will back the challengers and not the incumbents, as he has unfortunately been doing until now. Trump endorsed most of these governors. It’s time he uses his bully pulpit to call them out.

The lesson of this one-sided refugee fight is that while voters changed the face of the Republican Party by electing Trump, no progress has been made down the ballot to send in reinforcements. By Trump signaling that he will always endorse the incumbent, he is dissuading his most ardent supporters from even challenging these swamp creatures. If Trump wants to win re-election and actually implement his agenda, he must empower his supporters to get involved, not sabotage his own agenda by empowering Benedict Arnolds. Another Lie? Biden Denies Opposing Osama Bin Laden Raid

Democratic presidential contender Joe Biden was pressed to answer for his contradictory accounts of his role in the 2011 raid that killed Osama bin Laden.

Biden, who years ago said he advised President Barack Obama not to carry out the operation, insisted to a reporter on Friday that this was not actually true, conflicting with accounts by several other top officials from the Obama administration.

“No, I didn’t, I didn’t,” Biden said before hopping on his campaign bus in Iowa.

The comment capped what appeared to be a brief interview in which Fox News’ Peter Doocey asked the former vice president questions related to the U.S. airstrike that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani. . .

Biden’s description of his stance of the decision-making process behind the raid on bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, has changed over the years. In 2012, he said his advice was, “Don’t go.” By 2015, he had settled on saying he had privately told Obama to “go.” (Read more from “Another Lie? Biden Denies Opposing Osama Bin Laden Raid” HERE)
