Netanyahu Says Israel Has Moved Into ‘Second Stage’ of War, Adds ‘We Will Be the Victors’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Jewish state during a Saturday address that the military has moved into a “second stage” of the ongoing war against Hamas, which reportedly includes mobilizing ground forces into Gaza.

The Israeli leader noted that the conflict is a fight for the survival of the country, adding that the war would only get more intense once the ground invasion of the territory sets in, according to the Associated Press.

Israel’s invasion into Gaza comes after Hamas terrorists launched a surprise attack on the Jewish state on October 7, where hundreds of Jews were slaughtered and many more were abducted, raped, and tortured.

Netanyahu said that “[t]here are moments in which a nation faces two possibilities: to do or die.” He went on to suggest that the country now faces “that test and I have no doubt how it will end: We will be the victors. We will do and we will be the victors.”

Netanyahu went on to suggest that the current conflict is the “second War of Independence,” adding that the Jewish state is “only at the beginning.” The Israeli leader’s comments were followed up by Defense Minister Yoav Gallant’s own comments, stating that “[t]his will not be a short war,” according to the Wall Street Journal. Mobs in Russia Yelling ‘Allahu Akbar’ Hunt Down Jews, Storm Airport After Flight From Israel Arrives: Reports (VIDEO)

Large mobs in Russia yelling “Allahu Akbar” hunted down Jews in Dagestan on Sunday and stormed an airport, making their way onto the tarmac to attack Israelis who had just arrived from Tel Aviv, according to multiple reports.

The North Caucasus Republic of Dagestan is a majority-Muslim region in southwest Russia that borders Azerbaijan and Georgia. It is an autonomous republic within the Russian Federation.

“In Muslim areas of Russia’s north Caucasus, mobs raid hotels looking for Jews after rumors spread that some Israelis had moved there to flee the war,” said Yaroslav Trofimov, chief foreign affairs correspondent of The Wall Street Journal. “This video is from Dagestan, but similar incidents happened in Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia.”

Trofimov highlighted signs that were seen in the region that said: “Entry to citizens of Israel (Jews) strictly forbidden.”

Iran’s Top Diplomat: U.S. ‘Will Not Be Spared From This Fire’ if It Continues to Support Israel

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian threatened further attacks against the United States and its interests at the U.N. General Assembly meeting in New York on Thursday.

Iran is already launching rocket and drone attacks against bases housing American personnel in Iraq and Syria, using Shiite militia groups controlled by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). U.S. forces have been able to intercept most of these attacks, but dozens of minor injuries have been reported.

“I say frankly to the American statesmen, who are now managing the genocide in Palestine, that we do not welcome expansion of the war in the region. But if the genocide in Gaza continues, they will not be spared from this fire,” Amirabdollahian told the U.N. General Assembly.

The Iranian foreign minister was referring to Israel’s carefully targeted bombing campaign against Hamas terrorists hiding behind human shields in Gaza, an operation that does not meet any legal or common-sense definition of “genocide.” (Read more from “Iran’s Top Diplomat: U.S. ‘Will Not Be Spared From This Fire’ if It Continues to Support Israel” HERE)

U.N. Security Council Silent as China, Russia Tank Statement Condemning Hamas

Another attempt by the United Nations Security Council to address the October 7 Hamas massacre of over 1,400 people in Israel failed on Wednesday as permanent members China and Russia vetoed an American-drafted resolution, supported by most Council members, that would have condemned the jihadist terrorist group.

The American draft resolution’s failure preceded a vote on a draft resolution by Russia – the second introduced by the Hamas-friendly government of Russian strongman Vladimir Putin – calling for a “ceasefire” preventing Israel from taking measures to protect its citizens from another Hamas slaughter. That resolution failed decisively, garnering only four votes.

The Security Council has not addressed the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestinian terrorist groups since 2016 and has done nothing to act in the face of the Hamas mass murder nearly 20 days ago, remaining in a state that Brazil’s representative to the body lamented as “paralysis” following the first few failed votes on prospective resolutions. Hamas terrorists invaded Israel on that day for a terrorist onslaught it named the “al-Aqsa flood,” in which terrorists went door-to-door killing, raping, torturing, and abducting entire families.

Hamas terrorists opened fire on concert-goers at a music festival, decapitated babies and burned them alive, and took over 200 hostages, most of which remain in Gaza. (Read more from “U.N. Security Council Silent as China, Russia Tank Statement Condemning Hamas” HERE)

Israeli Military Conducts Raid in Gaza for Second Night in a Row

The IDF sent a ‘limited’ number of troops and tanks into the Gaza Strip for a second raid on Friday.

“Infantry, armored and engineering forces under the command of Gesh (36) and accompanied by IDF helicopters and helicopter gunships raided in the last day in the center of the Gaza Strip,” the branch wrote on X.

“As part of the operation, the forces attacked dozens of terrorist targets, including positions for launching anti-tank missiles and operational headquarters, as well as terrorists of the terrorist organization Hamas.”

IDF aircraft and artillery attacked Hamas targets “in Sajaia neighborhood and throughout the strip” in conjunction with the ground entry.

There were no Israeli casualties during the raid, the branch shared. (Read more from “Israeli Military Conducts Raid in Gaza for Second Night in a Row” HERE)

Israel Agrees to Delay Gaza Offensive to Allow U.S. Missile Defense Placement

Israel has agreed to delay its invasion of Gaza until the United States can position missile defenses to protect against a predicted uptick in Iran-backed terror attacks on American troops in the region.

The air defense systems could be in place by the latter part of this week, defense officials say. The Israeli delay was first reported by the Wall Street Journal.

The outlet also reported that the Jewish state is weighing factors such as deliveries of humanitarian aid to the southern part of the Gaza Strip as well as efforts to secure the release of approximately 200 hostages held by Hamas.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not confirm the reasons for holding off on the long-expected attack in an address to the nation Wednesday, but did say that his country’s military is “preparing for a ground entry.”

“I will not elaborate on when, how or how many,” Netanyahu said. “I will also not elaborate on the various calculations we are making, which the public is mostly unaware of and that is how things should be.” (Read more from “Israel Agrees to Delay Gaza Offensive to Allow U.S. Missile Defense Placement” HERE)

This Country Is One Step Closer to NATO Membership

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has submitted a protocol for Sweden’s admission into NATO to Turkey’s Parliament for ratification, his office said Monday, bringing the Nordic country a step closer to membership in the military alliance.

Erdogan had been delaying ratification of Sweden’s membership, accusing Stockholm of being too soft on Kurdish militants and other groups his country considers to be security threats. Turkey also was angered by a series of Quran-burning protests in Sweden.

All 31 NATO allies must endorse Sweden’s membership. Turkey and Hungary are the only two allies that have yet to ratify it.

Sweden welcomed the move.

“Glad to hear that Turkish President Erdogan has now handed over the ratification documents to the Turkish Parliament,” Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “Now it remains for Parliament to deal with the issue. We look forward to becoming a member of NATO.” (Read more from “This Country Is One Step Closer to NATO Membership” HERE)

’Moderate’ Palestinian Authority Calls to ‘Fight the Jews’ and ‘Kill’ Them All

In a startling revelation, an official document recently published by the supposedly “moderate” Palestinian Authority is shown to outline explicit calls for the murder of Jewish individuals, as it calls on imams to incite violence against Jews in Friday sermons, citing a religious text for Muslims to “fight the Jews” and “kill” them all.

The document, published Friday by the Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, provides comprehensive instructions for imams to incite violence in their weekly religious sermons, including inflammatory rhetoric and a message to “kill” the Jews.

Imploring the Palestinian populace to uphold the preservation of public and personal property, framing it as a religious, moral, and national duty, it advocates for continued resistance.

“We call upon our Palestinian people … despite the pain and tragedies, [we] cannot raise a white flag until the occupation is removed and the independent Palestinian state is established with Jerusalem as its capital,” it reads. China Expanding Nuclear Arsenal Faster Than Expected: Pentagon

China is expanding its nuclear arsenal unexpectedly quickly while it continues to threaten Taiwan, warned a new Pentagon report on Thursday.

China has built up its nuclear arsenal to over 500 warheads, an increase of roughly 100 over the past year and more than U.S. security officials had predicted a year ago, according to the Defense Department’s annual China Military Power Report. The Department of Defense (DOD) estimates that China’s nuclear stockpile will double to roughly 1,000 warheads by 2030.

“In 2022, Beijing continued its rapid nuclear expansion, and DoD estimates that the PRC possessed more than 500 operational nuclear warheads as of May 2023 — on track to exceed previous projections,” the report says.

China’s stockpile of nuclear warheads is “on track to exceed previous projections,” a senior DOD official told POLITICO. “What they’re doing now, if you compare it to what they were doing about a decade ago, it really far exceeds that in terms of scale and complexity.” (Read more from “China Expanding Nuclear Arsenal Faster Than Expected: Pentagon” HERE)

Israel at War: Quiet Streets, Men at the Front

The streets of Israel’s capital city were eerily quiet on Friday afternoon — not just because of the approaching Sabbath, but because of the war that has seen soldiers and reservists called to the Gaza and Lebanon borders.

Flight to Israel on El Al, Israel’s national carrier, are full, carrying families back home, and bringing Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reservists living abroad to their units. But Ben-Gurion International Airport is empty; there was only one border official staffing the “foreign passports” booth when this author arrived, since few international travelers are visiting. (The border official advised me to download an app to track incoming Hamas rockets, and signs pointing to the airport bomb shelter were well placed).

Many military-age men are at the front — husbands, fathers, brothers. The IDF had more reservists show up for duty than were actually called, a sign of the enthusiasm the public feels to get rid of Hamas, which has killed thousands of Israelis over the years.

Many public spaces were deserted; the government has closed public facilities that do not have adequate bomb shelters, and wants to discourage crowds, so that Hamas rockets cannot cause stampedes or higher casualties if they happen to land.
