China’s Birth Rate Falls So Low That Baby Formula Factory to Shut Down

Nestle, the world’s largest food company, announced on Wednesday that it will shutter or sell the Wyeth Nutrition baby formula factory in Askeaton, Ireland, no later than the first quarter of 2026.

The major reason given for this decision was that China’s birth rate has collapsed so much that the plant’s output, which was exported to Asia, is no longer needed.

“The number of newborn babies in China has declined sharply from some 18 million per year in 2016 to fewer than 9 million projected in 2023. The market, which had previously been reliant on imported infant formula products, is also seeing rapid growth in locally produced products,” Nestle stated.

The company said it would shutter a research and development center at the Askeaton plant by 2025, putting a total of 542 local jobs on the line.

“The full range of state supports will be made available to the employees, and we will examine each and every option to ensure that the best possible outcome is reached for all concerned,” Irish Minister for Enterprise, Trade, and Employment Simon Coveney told the BBC on Wednesday. Every aspect of what the Palestinians claimed happened has effectively been debunked through evidence and refuted in statements released by Israeli officials, U.S. officials, and now European officials.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released evidence showing that the explosion was not caused by an aerial bomb and did not strike the hospital — it exploded in a parking lot. It also released intercepted communications from Hamas terrorists who said the explosion was caused by a rocket fired by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Multiple Nations Urge Citizens to Evacuate Lebanon as Iranian Terrorists Escalate Attacks on Israel

Multiple countries have alerted their citizens inside Lebanon that they should immediately evacuate as an Iranian-backed terrorist organization in the country ramps up its attacks on Israel’s northern border amid concerns that a second front could soon be opened in Israel’s war against Islamic terrorists in the region.

Israeli officials are concerned that Hezbollah — which is estimated to have approximately 20,000 soldiers — is preparing to launch a full-scale attack on Israel’s northern border. The terrorist group has approximately 150,000 rockets in its arsenal that could easily dwarf the recent rocket attacks launched by Hamas.

Reuters reported that Hezbollah official Hashem Safieddine gave a speech to thousands of supporters on Wednesday, claiming that the terrorist group was “thousands of times stronger” than it was in the past, and threatening Israel and the West, warning that attacks on Hezbollah would be a “resounding” mistake.

Countries that have told their citizens to quickly leave Lebanon include the United States, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Canada, France, Kuwait, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, and Australia.

Hundreds Waving Palestinian Flags Swarm U.S. Embassy Ahead of Biden’s Visit to Israel

Hundreds of Lebanese protesters, including some waving Palestinian flags, swarmed the US embassy in Beirut Tuesday evening in response to the massive blast at a Gaza City hospital that reportedly killed hundreds of people.

Police had to deploy tear gas to disperse the demonstrators who gathered outside the embassy hours ahead of President Biden’s arrival in neighboring Israel to show support for the Jewish state in its conflict with the terrorist group Hamas.

One protester was seen on video posted to social media scaling a barbed-wire fence surrounding the building in order to plant a Palestinian flag on the embassy’s flagpole as fellow ralliers cheered him on from below.

Elsewhere in Beirut, protesters descended on the French embassy.

The dual demonstrations came just hours after Lebanon-based terror group Hezbollah called for “a day of unprecedented anger” in Beirut after the deadly explosion at the Gaza medical center. Hezbollah Calls for ‘Day of Unprecedented Anger’ at Israel, U.S.; U.S. Issues Lebanon Travel Advisory

Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed terrorist group that is based in Lebanon, called for a day of “unprecedented anger” directed at Israel after there was an explosion at a hospital in Gaza that killed hundreds of people.

Mainstream news organizations, left-wing politicians, and anti-Semites immediately latched onto and parroted claims by Palestinian officials claiming that Israel bombed the hospital, which resulted in the deaths of more than 500 people. However, Israel later confirmed that the explosion at the hospital was caused by a rocket that terrorists launched from inside Gaza that malfunctioned and hit the hospital.

Hezbollah joined the rest of the Islamic world in instantly blaming Israel for the attacks.

‘Israel Will Be Gone Soon,’ Iranian Official Says

Israel “will be gone soon and the Palestinian nation will be victorious in the final battle,” a senior Iranian official said on Monday amid fresh attempts by the Islamic Republic to rally militant forces across the region against the Jewish state.

Israel’s destruction is certain, Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior adviser to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, said in public remarks as he hosted Hamas representatives in Tehran. Velayati urged Hamas leaders to continue their assault on Israel nearly a week after the Iranian-backed group conducted an unprecedented slaughter of nearly 1,500 Israeli citizens, according to a report in Tehran’s state-controlled media.

Iran’s coordination with Hamas, highlighted in Monday’s meeting, comes amid parallel efforts by top Iranian officials to rally Arab countries in the region against Israel. Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian held talks with Tunisia on Monday and said the Islamic “resistance is fully ready to respond to Zionists’ warmongering.”

Iran’s role in galvanizing Arab nations against Israel threatens to ignite a broader Middle East conflict, particularly along Israel’s northern border where Hezbollah forces backed by Tehran have been steadily increasing their strikes on Israeli territory. Israeli Ground Offensive in Gaza Delayed Over New Alleged Plot: Report

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has reportedly delayed its ground operation into Gaza for a variety of reasons including the belief that an Iranian-backed terrorist group might be planning a surprise attack the moment Israel deploys its forces.

The news comes after more than 1,400 Israelis were murdered in one of the largest terrorist attacks in history last weekend that was carried out by Palestinian terrorists in Hamas.

The Jerusalem Post reported that Israeli Military sources told the newspaper that there is growing fear that the Lebanese-based terrorist group Hezbollah was waiting for the IDF to get fully immersed in fighting inside Gaza before launching a full-scale war against Israel from the north.

Hezbollah has launched small-scale attacks against Israel in recent days which have been easily defeated by Israeli forces. However, the military sources cautioned this could be part of “an elaborate fake-out to lure the IDF into a false sense of security, similar to what Hamas pulled off in the south,” the report said.

Iran Warns ‘Preemptive Action’ Against Israel Expected in Coming Hours by Resistance Front

Iranian officials warned late Monday of possible “preemptive action” against Israel by the “resistance front” ahead of the Jewish nation’s imminent ground invasion into Gaza.

“The resistance front is capable of waging a long-term war with the enemy [Israel]… in the coming hours, we can expect a preemptive action by the resistance front,” Iran Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said in a live broadcast to state TV.

Iran has denied any involvement in Hamas’ surprise attack on Israel on Oct. 7 which killed 1,400 people, however, Tehran has long backed Hamas and supported the plight of Palestinians since 1979.

“Leaders of the Resistance will not allow the Zionist regime to take any action in Gaza. … All options are open and we cannot be indifferent to the war crimes committed against the people of Gaza,” Amirabdollahian added, in reference to a meeting he had with Hezbollah leaders Saturday. Hezbollah Missile Strikes in Northern Israel Spark Fears of Major Escalation

The Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah launched at least five anti-tank guided missiles into northern Israel on Sunday, a day after Iranian officials warned that the Lebanon-based group was poised to aid Hamas by opening a second front against Israel.

The attacks marked the latest escalation of skirmishes on Israel’s border with Lebanon. They ratcheted up fears of a widening Israel-Hezbollah clash in the north and the prospect of a major war between Iran and Israel.

Israel responded to the strikes by shelling Hezbollah sites inside Lebanon. Backed by a growing deployment of U.S. warships, Israeli forces prepared for a much-anticipated ground invasion to rout Hamas from Gaza in the south.

With a humanitarian crisis growing in Gaza and escalation concerns mounting, the Biden administration scrambled through the weekend to try to calm regional nerves while attempting to deter Iran and Hezbollah from further provocations.

Israeli Forensic Teams Report Signs of Torture, Mutilation on Bodies of 1,300 Murdered by Hamas

Israeli forensic teams working to identify the bodies of more than 1,300 people murdered by Hamas since last week’s sneak attack said they’ve found widespread signs of abuse ranging from physical torture, to rape and mutilation, military officials confirmed.

“We’ve seen dismembered bodies with their arms and feet chopped off, people that were beheaded, a child that was beheaded,” a reserve officer told reporters Saturday, according to Reuters.

She added that numerous victims showed signs of rape.
