Study: Young Mothers With Children by Multiple Partners More Likely to Experience Abuse

Younger mothers with children by multiple fathers are more likely to experience psychological or physical harassment, economic abuse and sexual violence than younger mothers who have children with only one partner, a new Rutgers study finds.

The findings, published in the journal Family Relations, indicate a strong link between intimate partner violence (IPV) and multiple partner fertility (MPF). Reasons include complex family dynamics, fractured kinship models and family structure ambiguity. It is believed to be the first study to examine how MPF is associated with the risk of experiencing IPV.

“We know that social and financial support are key for mothers’ well-being, and that a social-support system can mitigate intimate partner violence,” said Iris Cardenas, a doctoral candidate at Rutgers’ School of Social Work and lead author of the study. Less is understood about how family change, which can lead to complexity in living arrangements, affects IPV risk. “We saw signals suggesting a link, but there was nothing in the literature looking at it.”

Previous research has shown the likelihood of victimization is higher in less affluent contexts: approximately one in three women in the Global South (lower-income countries in Africa, Asia, Oceania, Latin America and the Caribbean) experiences IPV in their lifetime. Risks are even greater in Colombia, a country with a high prevalence of MPF and IPV.

Using data from Colombia collected during the 2015 Demographic and Health Survey (DHS), a standardized survey administered by USAID, Cardenas and co-author Laura Cuesta, an assistant professor at the School of Social Work, conducted a series of analyses to determine if having children with multiple partners increased a woman’s odds of suffering violence. The survey included questions specific to IPV, and nearly 39,000 Colombian women were interviewed. Kansas Lawmaker Slams Transgender Women Using Women’s Restrooms

A state lawmaker in Kansas said this week that she does not “appreciate” sharing a restroom with one of her transgender colleagues and pointed out that women have been attacked by transgender individuals “who may or may not be for real.”

State Rep. Cheryl Helmer (R) made the remarks in an email with a graduate student from the University of Kansas, NBC News reported. The student reportedly wrote Helmer because he did not approve of her support of a bill that would prevent physicians from performing “gender-affirming” operations or hormone therapy on minors.

Helmer responded saying that she studied biology in college and understands “the difference biologically between a male and a woman” and that no “surgeon can cut, remove, wop, add to change the biology that is chemically occuring in each and every fiber, bone and molecule of every human being.”

“A doctor can inject meds and dilute but cannot destroy what God has done in the perfection of the HUMAN BEING,” Helmer reportedly added. She went on to describe how she feels sharing the women’s restroom with a transgender colleague.

“Now, personally I do not appreciate the huge transgender female who is now in our restrooms in the Capitol. It is quite uncomforting. Despicable: School District Forces Radical LGBTQ Ideology on Preschoolers as Young as 3

An Illinois school district is promoting homosexual and “transgender” ideology to students from preschool as part of an “LGBTQ+ Equity Week” program, instructing young students that there are more than two sexes while idolizing notorious sexual predator and homosexual activist Harvey Milk.

Independent journalist Christopher F. Rufo last week reported on an almost 300-page series of documents for teaching staff at the Evanston-Skokie School District in Illinois that outlines a curriculum to implement its “LGBTQ+ Equity Week” program during April, which the district has designated as “LGBTQ+ equity month.”

The program encourages children as young as three years old to “break down gender stereotypes” and to overcome “binary biases” when it comes to male and female human sexuality.

Children in pre-kindergarten classrooms are to be taught the LGBT vision of the rainbow-colored “pride” flag based on the story of political activist Harvey Milk, and that there are people who do not conform to the nature of male or female, describing people who feel this way as “non-binary or queer.”

Second-Graders Reportedly Taught About ‘Furries,’ Other ‘Youth Subcultures’

A second grade teacher at a public school district in Texas reportedly taught students about the subculture of “furries,” according to worksheets submitted to a popular Twitter account.

Parents discovered via fliers that their second-graders at Austin Independent School District learned about “youth subcultures, from goths to furries, and many more” during the second week of April. One worksheet was titled, “Design Your Fursona” and asked students whether their “Fursona” is “male,” “female” or “non-binary.”

Students reportedly collected a Furries Word Search as well.

A spokesperson for Austin Independent School District told the Daily Caller that the worksheets on furries are not part of the district’s curriculum. . .

Abortionists Open First Surgical Center to Kill Babies in State Called ‘Abortion Desert’

Wyoming, a so-called “abortion desert,” will be opening its first surgical abortion facility this summer to be located between Wyoming Medical Center and downtown Casper. It will be operated by Circle of Hope Health Care Service, a pro-abortion non-profit whose mission, according to its website, is to “expand access to reproductive health care in abortion deserts around the world.”

Casper is centrally located in the state of Wyoming; therefore, this new abortion facility will be accessible to the majority of women within the state. Wyoming women have had access to chemical abortions up to the tenth week of pregnancy, but the new facility will be the state’s first surgical abortion facility. Julie Burkhart, Circle of Hope’s Director, explained, “Our goal in launching this clinic is to ensure that more people in Wyoming and the broader region have access to the reproductive health care they need, including abortion care.”

Burkhart was the CEO of Trust Women and has established two abortion facilities and oversees a third. She also previously worked alongside Dr. George Tiller, an abortionist who committed abortions up to 36 weeks and who was shot and killed in 2009 by a violent man professing to be anti-abortion. Dr. Tiller had a full-size crematorium in his office for cremating babies.

The new facility is expected to open in June of 2022 and is funded by private donors. The range of services the facility will offer has not been established but its goal is to provide full-spectrum reproductive healthcare, in addition to abortions. University Will Only Give Tenure Position to ‘Women, Transgender, Non-Binary, or Two-Spirit’ People

A tenure track position at a Canadian university is only available to individuals who self-identify as “women, transgender, non-binary, or two-spirit” people, according to a job bulletin.

The University of Waterloo’s Faculty of Environment is looking “to fill a Natural Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) Tier 2 Canada Research Chair and tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor” to “address the underrepresentation of individuals from equity deserving groups among our Canada Research Chairs,” according to the advertisement.

“Because this is a special opportunity for a specific member of the four designated groups, applicant self-identification information will be used for the purposes of screening and consideration,” it said. . .

State Releases Examples of Rejected ‘Woke Math’ Textbooks

Florida education officials have released four images of “woke math” in textbooks they rejected last week for use in K-12 public schools.

The state’s Department of Education rejected 54 of 132 titles that textbook publishers submitted for use next year, including 71% of proposed elementary school books, because they did not meet state benchmarks or they contained examples of critical race theory and social-emotional learning.

Florida education officials said Friday that copyright law prevented them from publicizing the names and publishers of the textbooks that contain the four images, which reference “racial prejudice” in math problems and how students feel about working together on the subject. . .

The first image contains a polynomial math problem that asks students to analyze racial prejudice data from the Implicit Association Test, a widely challenged 1998 psychological study that purported to identify subconscious and unconscious bias against Black individuals.

Disgusting: Teacher, Administrators Conspired to Teach Eight-Year-Olds About Gender, Sex

Some parents in Glendale, California, reprimanded a public school board after emails uncovered a third-grade teacher allegedly conspired with district officials to teach eight-year-olds about gender and sexual identity, according to videos from the meeting.

Emails obtained via a parent’s public records request reportedly found that a third-grade teacher in Glendale Unified School District subjected students to videos on LGBTQ ideology and comments about nudity. During an April 19 Board of Education meeting, parents identified the teacher as Tammy Tiber.

Tiber reportedly sent an email to the district’s Teaching and Learning Department after a parent pulled her child from a Zoom session on LGBTQ Pride month.

“Today I talked to my class about LGBTQ pride month and played 2 short videos from YouTube that were geared towards kids,” the email read. “A parent who heard the lesson and discussion made her daughter leave Zoom and texted me asking me when I was done discussing sexual orientation so that she could let her kids back into Zoom. I was planning on doing more lessons tomorrow and Wednesday, but now I’m afraid to.”

Biological Male Transgender Golfer Slams ‘Male-Bodied’ Athletes in Women’s Sports

A Danish transgender golfer, who is a biological male, said this week that allowing “male-bodied” individuals to compete in female sports is a “slap in the face to women.”

Golfer Mianne Bagger, who is 55, was the first transgender athlete in a professional gold tournament in the Women’s Australian Open. This week, on Australia’s “Insight” television show, Bagger said they now support a bill that will ban transgender athletes from female sporting events, according to the New York Post.

“If someone has gone through male puberty and competed in elite pro-level sport or Olympic level sport as a male, I think if they transition that should preclude them from competitive women’s sport,” Bagger said in the TV program.

Bagger told News.com.au that current laws allow “male-bodied people presenting as women, who live as women, with varying degrees of medical intervention and in some degrees, no medical intervention,” to compete in women’s sports.
