The Satanic Temple Is in Fact Emblematic of the Leftist Worldview

Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Satanism, and motherhood converged in the pages of the Huffington Post on Thursday when Jamie Smith, an attorney and mom, wrote that the death of the Supreme Court justice motivated her to join the Satanic Temple.

“I am a 40-something attorney and mother who lives in a quiet neighborhood with a yard and a garage full of scooters and soccer balls,” Smith said. “I often walk with my children to get ice cream and spend weekends hiking through a national park. I am not the type of person who would normally consider becoming a Satanist, but these are not normal times.” . . .

One tenet, in particular, is notable: “The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.” In other words, the law is dispensable in the pursuit of justice — a remarkable statement coming from an attorney. The ends of equity justify the means of tearing down institutions. Sound familiar?

This principle, which the Satanic Temple articulates and Smith affirms, absolves the rioters pillaging America’s cities under the guise of “social justice.” It supports illegal social programs that promote a so-called oppressed group while discriminating against another group. It exonerates election fraud by those who reason that the “fascist” must be removed from the White House by any means necessary. This idea reeks of moral relativism and guarantees lawlessness.

To adopt a tenet such as this is an interesting response to the death of a Supreme Court justice and an interesting way to cope with the fear that one’s legal rights will be infringed. If equity is greater than the law, how does the Constitution fit in? If justice “should prevail over laws and institutions,” there will be nothing left for the Supreme Court, an institution itself, to protect. Uncle Ben’s Rice Finally Has New Name After Old Moniker and Logo Deemed Racially Insensitive

Uncle Ben’s rice finally has a new name after its old moniker and instantly recognizable logo was deemed racially insensitive amid the George Floyd rioting and a flurry of similar moves to amend the names of other products in the name of political correctness.

The brand now will be called Ben’s Original and no longer will use the image of a black man on its boxes, the New York Daily News reported, citing a Wednesday announcement from the product’s parent company Mars Inc.

The new logo simply reads “Ben’s Original” in blue lettering over an orange background — which are the longtime colors of the rice brand.

“We listened to our associates and our customers, and the time is right to make meaningful changes across society,” Mars Food executive Fiona Dawson said in a statement, according to the Daily News. “When you are making these changes, you are not going to please everyone. But it’s about doing the right thing, not the easy thing.”

In June, Mars Inc., announced it would change the rice’s moniker in order to stand against racial stereotypes in advertising. (Read more from “Uncle Ben’s Rice Finally Has New Name After Old Moniker and Logo Deemed Racially Insensitive” HERE)

Bail Fund Promoted By Kamala Harris Helped Free Serial Domestic Abusers

A bail fund promoted by Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris helped bail out of jail six men accused of domestic violence between June and August, court documents obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation show.

Two of the men face felony charges for allegedly strangling women in their own homes, and another stands accused of beating his girlfriend upwards of six times with a closed fist, records show. All but one of the individuals had been convicted of prior domestic violence-related charges when the Minnesota Freedom Fund (MFF) helped bail them out of jail, according to court records.

Harris, a California senator, encouraged her supporters to donate to the MFF in June. The fundraising link she posted to Twitter sports her branding and was still accepting donations as of Tuesday.

Harris told her followers that contributions to the fund would “help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota” against the police-custody death of George Floyd.

However, the MFF revealed on Sept. 4 that only about six percent of the money it had spent since Floyd’s death had gone to help bail out of jail people facing protest-related charges.

Woman Says She Was Kicked off Plane After 2-Year-Old Son Refused to Wear Mask

A Portsmouth woman said she and her 2-year-old son were kicked off an American Airlines flight because the boy refused to keep his mask on.

Rachel Davis said that on the two flights to her business trip to Florida, nobody said anything about her son not wearing a mask. But that changed Thursday on the final leg home from Charlotte to Manchester. . .

In an Instagram post, the Portsmouth single mom detailed what happened when her son refused to wear a mask as she boarded the flight.

“I tried repeatedly, begged him, bribed him, pleaded with him, did everything I could while he was screaming and crying as I tried to hold him and put the mask on,” she wrote. . .

“They were telling me, ‘If you don’t get him to wear the mask, we will not be able to take you on this flight,'” Davis said. (Read more from “Woman Says She Was Kicked off Plane After 2-Year-Old Son Refused to Wear Mask” HERE)

Costco Removes Popular Item After BLM, Antifa Controversy

Costco has stopped carrying products from a pimento cheese brand owned by a South Carolina mayor who called the Black Lives Matter and Antifa movements “terror organizations.”

Brian Henry, the mayor of Pawleys Island and owner of Palmetto Cheese, told the Georgetown Times that the company’s products were being pulled “as a matter of normal business” and that the wholesale retailer rotates items in and out regularly. . .

When reached for comment, a Costco representative declined to comment on the Palmetto Cheese brand.

The Georgetown Times published a photo of a sign in the Myrtle Beach Costco store stating that the products were “discontinued and will not be re-ordered by Costco,” adding that the products were being removed from more than 120 Costco locations.

Palmetto faced calls for a boycott from some consumers following Henry’s controversial Facebook post, in which he tied the protest movements to the unrelated fatal shooting of a father and daughter following an auto crash. The victims were white, while the accused killer is Black. (Read more from “Costco Removes Popular Item After BLM, Antifa Controversy” HERE)

High School Bans Pro-Police Flag Due to ‘Racism’

A thin blue line flag has been banned by a local high school in Neptune Beach, Florida following a series of complaints that circulated on social media, according to a report by News4Jax.

According to the outlet, the Fletcher High School football team started carrying the pro-law enforcement flag last year, as a way for one of its players, Caelan Lavender, to honor his late father, Cpl. Andy Lavender. Mr. Lavender was a Jacksonville Beach police officer who unexpectedly passed away in August 2019 after 29 years in law enforcement, and was active in sports programs. . .

The team’s use of the symbol received swift backlash online, with some calling the move “openly racist.” . . .

As a result of the backlash, Fletcher High School’s principal, Dean Ledford, reportedly issued a statement announcing the flag would be banned.

“The flag, which is known as the Thin Blue Line flag, has different meaning for different people, and rather than representing the young man’s personal feelings, it was being interpreted as a political statement of the team and of the school,” Ledford said. “In consultation with the coaches, I determined that the act of using this flag in this personal way, while in the context of the football game opening ceremony, could easily be construed as representing a political position of our school and not just the personal feelings of the student and his teammates. Therefore, I have determined that it is no longer appropriate to continue.” (Read more from “High School Bans Pro-Police Flag Due to ‘Racism'” HERE)

Far-Left Actor Says We Will Die If Trump Is Re-Elected

Far-left Hollywood filmmaker and actor Rob Reiner unleashed another hyperbolic screed on Sunday, warning that the results of the upcoming presidential election will ultimately determine “whether we live or die.”

“We are at an existential crossroads. Whether we live or die actually depends on our vote,” Reiner wrote. It is unclear what Reiner was specifically referring to, it was likely in response to the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, which will give President Donald Trump and the Republican-controlled Senate an opportunity to nominate a successor in the coming days.

Reacting to Ginsburg’s death on Friday, Reiner warned that Democrats must “fight” to prevent an “impeached criminal” from filling her seat. “Today couldn’t be sadder. A brilliant Jurist, Ruth Bader Ginsburg is gone. We must fight not to allow an Impeached Criminal to take her seat.”

On Saturday, the Bucket List director seemingly declared war on Republicans planning to confirm a new justice before next November’s presidential election, accusing Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) of “dancing on [Ginsburg’s] grave.

“Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s body isn’t even cold and Mitch McConnell is dancing on her grave,” he said. “This is war. Dems have powerful weapons. Now is the time to use them.”

Grocery Store Worker Fired After Apprehending Purse Snatcher

This good Samaritan stopped a thief from stealing a woman’s purse, and his reward was losing his job.

A Vermont grocery store worker nabbed a purse snatcher — and was fired for his efforts.

Amir Shedyak, 20, who worked at the Hannaford supermarket in his hometown of Essex for four years, and was even an employee of the month, was canned after a heroic act in August. . .

“And he was like — an old lady’s purse just got stolen,” Shedyak, who is also a volunteer fireman, told local CBS station WCAX3. “I look to my right and I see a gentleman running across the parking lot and he had the purse in his hand.”

Shedyak grabbed the suspect from behind and held him down before calling the police. The suspect got away, but Shedyak was able to return the purse.

I got fired from Hannafords after working there for four years. I started out as a bagger and worked my way up to the…

Trump Approves TikTok App Deal

President Donald Trump approved a deal for Oracle and Walmart to acquire stakes in the US operations of popular video app TikTok, postponing a potential ban that was scheduled to go into effect on Sunday.

Oracle will own a 12.5% in TikTok’s global business, which is headquartered in the US, and will provide secure cloud services that satisfy national security concerns about the Chinese-owned app. Retail giant Walmart will also take a stake. . .

“Both companies will take part in a TikTok Global pre-IPO financing round in which they can take up to a 20% cumulative stake in the company,” TikTok said in a statement. “We will also maintain and expand TikTok Global’s headquarters in the US, while bringing 25,000 jobs across the country.” . . .

The deal, which still requires the approval of the Chinese government, came just hours before a ban on new downloads of TIkTok was set to take place. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said Saturday that the ban would be pushed out to Sept. 27 at 11:59 p.m. as the deal is finalized.

The agreement follows a tumultuous period for TikTok, which Trump has called a national security threat because it’s owned by ByteDance, a Chinese tech company. The administration alleges that the Chinese government could use data gathered by the TikTok app to “track the locations of Federal employees and contractors, build dossiers of personal information for blackmail, and conduct corporate espionage.” TikTok has repeatedly pushed back, noting that it wouldn’t turn over data to the Chinese government even if it were asked to. Despite Catholic Faith, Nancy Pelosi Wants to Keep Churches Closed

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), a Catholic, doesn’t think churches should open until it is “scientifically safe” to do so.

Pelosi was asked at a Friday press conference to respond to Archbishop of San Francisco Salvatore Joseph Cordileone’s recent article urging California leaders to consider reopening churches. Despite her own violation of the COVID-19 government lockdown orders in San Francisco by booking and attending an illegal indoor hair appointment, Pelosi stated that going to in-person church services might be ” jeopardizing people’s health.”

“I don’t know if he was speaking as our pastor or as a lobbyist or advocate, but whatever it is, I’m sure that he must have meant if it is scientifically safe rather than jeopardizing people’s health if they want to go to church,” she explained.

While Pelosi admitted that she misses “going to church regularly,” she claims that she and the archbishop have “some areas of agreement and some areas of disagreement.”

“With all due respect to my Archbishop, I think we should follow science on this. And again with faith and science, sometimes they’re countered to each other,” Pelosi said. (Read more from “Despite Catholic Faith, Nancy Pelosi Wants to Keep Churches Closed” HERE)
