Almost Half of U.S. Coronavirus Deaths Are Linked to Nursing Homes; The Good News About COVID-19 the Corporate Media Keeps Hidden

At least 54,000 residents and workers have died from the coronavirus at nursing homes and other long-term care facilities for older adults in the United States, according to a New York Times database. As of June 26, the virus has infected more than 282,000 people at some 12,000 facilities.

Nursing home populations are at a high risk of being infected by — and dying from — the coronavirus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, is known to be particularly lethal to adults in their 60s and older who have underlying health conditions. And it can spread more easily through congregate facilities, where many people live in a confined environment and workers move from room to room.

By PJ Media. As the pandemic panic porn continues because identified cases are rising, Dr. Fauci is back on television, and the media is once again demanding a national response. However, there is news they don’t share with you that could help reduce the already unwarranted levels of fear. Obviously, that doesn’t fit their partisan agenda. . .

A doctor from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center said in a press conference Wednesday that people who are testing positive do not appear to be getting as sick as they did earlier in the pandemic. Dr. Donald Yealy also noted this trend was being seen in the wake of massive protests. . .

Dr. Yealy also noted that the positive case rate was about one in 400, which has remained steady for weeks. He also noted improved treatment protocols and some success with Remdisivir and other medications. Effective treatment is in addition to some success protecting the elderly and a much younger patient load testing positive. . .

Cases with mild or no symptoms are still the population health researchers are trying to get their arms around. However, recent congressional testimony regarding peer-reviewed research on antibody testing caused the CDC to increase the number of infections to 23 million Americans. It estimated that 8.7 million had likely been infected by March using data for flu-like illnesses. For every one person confirmed, serology for antibodies indicated ten had had it. Father of Teen Murdered by Illegal Alien Says BLM Ignored His Case: ‘I’m Black, Where’s Our Help?’

The father of a black teen murdered by an illegal immigrant in 2008 told “Fox & Friends” on Sunday that because his son’s case was not a matter of police brutality, he received no support from the Black Lives Matter Movement and was forced to mourn on the “sidelines” by African-American leaders.

“It seems like Black Lives Matter only focuses on black people who were murdered by the police,” Jamiel Shaw said. “You know, my son was murdered in 2008, and I reached out to anybody that would listen, especially black people, because I thought for sure I would have a lot of support in the black community.

“But, because of the illegal aliens and the way they get all the support in California, no one would jump on board because they didn’t want to have to, you know, justify the illegal-alien part. So, they just let me go by myself.”

Jamiel Shaw Jr., 17, was shot in March 2008 by illegal alien and gang member Pedro Espinoza, who mistook the high school football player as a member of a rival gang. A jury later convicted Espinoza and sentenced him to death.

“All black people should matter,” Shaw said, alleging a double-standard among the movement at the forefront of the national protests over George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis police custody last month. 2 Teenage Boys Murdered After Asking Man How Tall He Was

Two teenage boys were shot to death after asking the suspect how tall he was when they were buying candy from a store.

The incident occurred at approximately 5 p.m. on Saturday June 20 after three teenage boys went to a store in South Chicago to buy some candy and ended up having a brief encounter with 19-year-old Laroy Battle inside the establishment.

“The victims were walking into the store, they saw Battle, he was standing in line while at the store and the victims commented that Battle, he was quite tall, and they asked him how tall he was and hoped to be that tall someday,” said Deputy Chief of Detectives Brendan Deenihan “Unfortunately, we will never even see the full growth of these poor children.”

The three teenage boys then left the store and proceeded to walk home together when police say that Battle approached them and began shooting.

Jasean Francis, 17, was shot in the back, chest and left hand. Charles Riley, 16, was shot in the back and left leg. The third teen, who was not identified, managed to escape the gunfire. Both of the boys who were shot were taken to University of Chicago Hospital and later died from the injuries they suffered during the shooting. 17 Corrections Officers to Be Disciplined in Transgender Man’s Death

More than a dozen New York City Department of Correction officers will be disciplined for their conduct surrounding the death of Layleen Xtravaganza Cubilette-Polanco, 27, a transgender [man] who died last year while in solitary confinement at Rikers Island jail.

Three officers and one captain will be suspended without pay immediately, the department said in a statement Friday. It was not immediately clear what disciplinary actions the remaining 13 officers would face.

The announcement comes several weeks after Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark declined to file charges following a six-month investigation into the circumstances of Cubilette-Polanco’s death. . .

Several weeks before [he] died, Cubilette-Polanco had been hospitalized at the Elmhurst Hospital Prison Ward for psychiatric care after “showing radical changes in behavior” including shouting, crying, rolling around on the floor, talking to herself, expressing suicidal thoughts and charging at a jail guard, according to a Board of Correction report.

After returning to Rikers Island, jail staff tried to get [him] sent to restrictive housing, or solitary confinement, as a punishment for charging at the guard, according to the report. However, a psychiatrist “verbally stated that due to [his] medical history as it pertains to seizure disorder, that he would not be able to authorized [sic] a cell housing placement” in a restrictive housing unit. The Dixie Chicks Have Changed Their Name (VIDEO)

The Dixie Chicks have undergone a name change. Amid a nationwide reckoning with racism, the veteran country band – consisting of Natalie Maines, Emily Strayer, and Martie Maguire – announced on June 25 they will simply be known as The Chicks going forward. Though the original name was inspired by Little Feat’s 1973 album Dixie Chicken, the phrase is still commonly associated with the Mason–Dixon Line and, thereby, the Confederacy. “We want to meet the moment,” the group said in a statement obtained by Entertainment Weekly.

. . .The same day, The Chicks also released a protest song, “March March.” The corresponding music video features footage of various activist movements through the years, as well as the names of Black victims of police brutality. This certainly isn’t the group’s first political statement: In 2003, The Chicks publicly criticized then-president George W. Bush and the invasion of Iraq, famously leading to boycotts and backlash from conservative country music fans.

BET Founder Mocks Crowds Pulling Down Statues: ‘Borderline Anarchists’; Pew Research: Only 1-In-6 Protesters Are Black

By Fox News. BET founder Robert Johnson, in an interview Wednesday with Fox News, blasted those who are toppling Confederate and other statues across the nation as “borderline anarchists” — while challenging the notion that black Americans support this.

People tearing down statues “have the mistaken assumption that black people are sitting around cheering for them saying ‘Oh, my God, look at these white people. They’re doing something so important to us. They’re taking down the statue of a Civil War general who fought for the South,” Johnson said. “You know, black people, in my opinion, black people laugh at white people who do this the same way we laugh at white people who say we got to take off the TV shows.”

Johnson, who became the country’s first black billionaire in 2001, has made a $14 trillion pitch for reparations to descendants of slavery. But he said the movement to take down statues, cancel TV shows and fire professors does nothing to close the wealth gap that has persisted since slavery.

It’s “tantamount to rearranging the deck chairs on a racial Titanic,” Johnson told Fox News. “It absolutely means nothing.” . . .

“Look, the people who are basically tearing down statues, trying to make a statement are basically borderline anarchists, the way I look at it. They really have no agenda other than the idea we’re going to topple a statue,” Johnson said. “It’s not going to give a kid whose parents can’t afford college money to go to college. It’s not going to close the labor gap between what white workers are paid and what black workers are paid. Pew Research: Only 1-In-6 Protesters Are Black, 46 Percent Are White

By Breitbart. Only about one-in-six protesters over the last month are black Americans, while the plurality are white, according to Pew Research Center analysis.

Though recent protests and riots have been centered around racial tensions with law enforcement, only 17 percent of protesters have been black, while 46 percent are white, 22 percent are Hispanic, and eight percent are Asian, the analysis shows.

Woman Turns to Supreme Court to Get Her Guns Back

In 2013, Lori Rodriguez called San Jose police to her home because her husband was having a mental health crisis and making violent threats. Seven years later, she is petitioning the Supreme Court to force the city to return her guns.

“It’s not right. I shouldn’t have to do this to get back what’s mine,” Rodriguez told the Washington Free Beacon. “They violated several of my constitutional rights.”

Rodriguez claims police ordered her to open the couple’s gun safe so they could seize all of the weapons in the home after her husband was detained for making threats that the city says included “shooting up schools.” Cops seized not only her husband’s weapons but also the guns that were personally registered to Rodriguez. The city has repeatedly rebuffed her requests to return her property.

The suit is now the sole case with Second Amendment implications remaining before the Court after the justices rejected 10 other gun-rights cases on June 15. Rodriguez’s legal challenge comes as the federal government and a number of states debate “red flag” bills that would allow authorities to deny gun rights to citizens. It has the potential to clarify the extent to which the Second Amendment protects individuals from seizures of firearms.

San Jose city attorney Richard Doyle did not respond to a request for comment. Hollywood Producer Charged With Drugging, Kidnapping, Raping Four Women; Major Porn Actor Also Charged With Sexual Assault of Four Women

By New York Post. A Hollywood producer was busted this week on multiple charges of drugging, kidnapping and raping four women — including two over the same 48-period, authorities have announced.

David Guillod, 53, had stepped down as chief executive of Primal Wave Entertainment in 2017 shortly after “Ted” actress Jessica Barth publicly accused him of rape.

It helped spark “extensive investigations” leading to the charges Monday, the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office said.

Adult Film Star Ron Jeremy Charged With Sexual Assault of 4 Women

By USA Today. Adult film star Ron Jeremy has been charged with forcibly raping three women and sexually assaulting another in separate incidents dating back to 2014, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office announced Tuesday.

Jeremy, 67, was charged with three counts each of forcible rape and forcible penetration by a foreign object and one count each of forcible oral copulation and sexual battery, the district attorney’s office said.

The adult film actor, real name Ronald Jeremy Hyatt, is accused of forcibly raping a 25-year-old woman at a home in West Hollywood in 2014. He is also accused of sexually assaulted two women, ages 33 and 46, on separate occasions at a West Hollywood bar in 2017 and of forcibly raping a 30-year-old woman at the same bar in 2019.

Yes, Senator, Parents Can Educate Their Own Kids

High school-educated, working-class parents aren’t capable of overseeing their own child’s education, a state lawmaker said last week.

New Hampshire state Sen. Jeanne Dietsch, D-Peterborough, made the comment at a committee hearing last Tuesday while promoting a bill that would stop the state Board of Education from creating a new way of allocating high school graduation credits.

“This idea of parental choice, that’s great if the parent is well-educated. There are some families that’s perfect for. But to make it available to everyone? No. I think you’re asking for a huge amount of trouble,” Dietsch said.

Dietsch’s remarks represent a growing trend among leftist politicians to belittle, even vilify, a parent’s role. The trend stems from an ideology that insists the nanny state is superior to parents.

Dietsch’s political commentary was a full-on attack on parental rights and education in America, with a side of elitism to boot.

A fellow legislator, state Rep. Glenn Cordelli, R-Tuftonboro, asked the obvious question of Dietsch.

“Is it your belief that only well-educated parents can make proper decisions for what’s in the best interest of their children?” he asked.

Dietsch went on to explain that her views on what makes a parent qualified are based on her personal history, which seems like a biased way to examine a legislative proposal:

In a democracy, and particularly in the United States, public education has been the means for people to move up to greater opportunities, for each generation to be able to succeed more than their parents have. My father didn’t graduate from high school, so it was really important that I went to college.

The presumption that a state senator would know what is best for families across the state of New Hampshire reeks of hubris. It shows a misunderstanding of the role of family, not to mention demonstrates an elevated, starry-eyed view of public education.

For starters, plenty of Americans without a college education are intelligent problem-solvers and successful people. Often, they own their own businesses or are in blue-collar trades such as plumbing, electrical work, construction, and the like.

Of course, additional education—particularly in professions such as medicine and law, or certain businesses—can be necessary, but it’s not vital for every industry.

Not everyone is wired for a vocation that requires a Ph.D. To presume a parent couldn’t teach his child what is necessary to go to college or to thrive in a blue-collar field—jobs that are disappearing and in high demand—smacks of the sort of self-righteousness we have come to expect from too many politicians on the East Coast.

Although state public education is ideal for many families, it does not work for everyone. For some families, including those who travel a lot or are in the military—or, heck, look at kids in Hollywood—homeschooling is best.

I once knew of a family who homeschooled because their child wanted to be a professional surfer—so he preferred to do school online Monday through Thursday and surf the rest of the days.

Elected officials should applaud the many educational choices available to families today and help families become empowered to make the choices that are right for their children.

Dietsch’s comments are typical of leftist politicians who want to subvert the role of parents and replace them with the all-knowing state. One hallmark of progressive ideology that Democrats such as Dietsch clearly subscribe to is the view that the state is superior to the family—including, and especially, when it comes to education.

State officials, politicians, even law enforcement, know best and many moms and dads are just ignorant rubes who can barely feed and clothe their kids, let alone teach them. This mentality reminds me of the kind of socialism that caused the collapse of nations before our eyes: Both of our major political parties should reject it.

A basic tenet of America’s founding principles is that “we the people” wield the power, make decisions, and hold elected officials accountable for their roles, not the other way around. The state doesn’t exist to squelch the family, but to empower the family.

Particularly today, when blue-collar jobs are necessary to fill in obvious gaps, parents with a high school education who want to encourage their children to take a similar path should do so, and with confidence.

Supreme Court Rules Women Are No Longer Real but Just Fantasies

This past Monday, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled by a vote of 6-3 that a woman is not real.

Writing for the majority, Justice Neil Gorsuch announced, “The six of us on the Court who are clearly smarter than the dissenting three, and, likewise, much brighter and wiser than the hundreds of millions of you deplorable rubes across the land who still believe in biology and genetics, have decided, by god-like fiat, that as of June 15, 2020, a female is no longer a fact, but a fantasy.” . . .

“Therefore, on this grand day of enlightenment, we proclaim that throughout the land, all subjects of the United States of America must now bow in submission to the Rainbow altar and its golden calf. You must pay homage to our Cult of Feelings. You must deny reality and cast all reason aside.

“How foolish of you think that there is a God and that He created man as a binary male and female. How naive of you to think a female is a fact. She is not!

“In our day of gnosis, we know that nothing can be known and, therefore, we know that a woman is little more than a fantasy and a fabrication. We are sure that nothing is sure, but of this one thing we are sure … Being a woman is a social construct and not an objective reality.
