Watching Pornography Rewires the Brain to a More Juvenile State

. . .Science is only just beginning to reveal the neurological repercussions of porn consumption. But it is already clear that the mental health and sex lives of its widespread audience are suffering catastrophic effects. From depression to erectile dysfunction, porn appears to be hijacking our neural wiring with dire consequences. . .

The desensitization of our reward circuitry sets the stage for sexual dysfunctions to develop, but the repercussions don’t end there. Studies show that changes in the transmission of dopamine can facilitate depression and anxiety. In agreement with this observation, porn consumers report greater depressive symptoms, lower quality of life and poorer mental health compared to those who don’t watch porn. . .

Porn use has been correlated with erosion of the prefrontal cortex — the region of the brain that houses executive functions like morality, willpower and impulse control.

To better understand the role of this structure in behaviour, it’s important to know that it remains underdeveloped during childhood. This is why children struggle to regulate their emotions and impulses. Damage to the prefrontal cortex in adulthood is termed hypofrontality, which predisposes an individual to behave compulsively and make poor decisions.

It’s somewhat paradoxical that adult entertainment may revert our brain wiring to a more juvenile state. The much greater irony is that while porn promises to satisfy and provide sexual gratification, it delivers the opposite. Here’s the Gender Ideology That YOUTUBE Recommended for a Nine-Year-Old Girl

YouTube appears to have recommended a video that explains a “gender non-conforming” lifestyle for eight to twelve-year-old YouTube users.

Heritage Action Executive Director Tim Chapman tweeted Tuesday that he created a YouTube profile for his 9-year-old daughter “in hopes of having better control over content.” But after Chapman had created the account, he noticed that YouTube recommended a 2018 video created by HiHo Kids to his daughter titled “Kids Meet A Gender Non-Conforming Person.” . . .

Chapman included a screenshot of the content YouTube recommended showing that the platform offered the content beside the caption saying that “content recommended for kids ages 8-12 allows kids with growing independence to search and explore additional music videos, gaming, family vlogs, science, and more.” . . .

Chapman told the Daily Caller News Foundation that though he disagrees with “the extreme views of the leadership at Google,” he respects their right to hold these views.

“But when they cross the line and push those views onto children, it shows how little respect their leadership has for the millions of American families using their products who have different perspectives on these issues,” Chapman said. “And worse, it shows a determination to engage in culture wars and push those of us who dissent from the misguided conventional wisdom of the age to the margins of society.” (Read more from “Here’s the Gender Ideology That YOUTUBE Recommended for a Nine-Year-Old Girl” HERE)

Police Officer Admits to Fabricating Story About Vulgar Message on Cup

A Kansas police chief who called out a local McDonald’s — after one of his officers claimed he was served a cup of coffee with a vulgar and insulting message attached — said Monday the officer has resigned after fabricating the incident.

Herington Police Chief Brian Hornaday confirmed the unnamed officer made up the story about being given a coffee cup with “F—–g pig” written on it. The incident caused a stir on social media over the weekend and resulted in criticism of the fast-food giant.

“This was completely and solely fabricated by a Herington police officer who is no longer with our agency,” Hornaday said during a Monday news conference. “Moving forward, the Herington Police Department will work tirelessly to regain to loss of trust with both McDonald’s and with the citizens that we serve.”

Hornaday also said the unnamed officer was 23 and had been with the department for just two months. He called the incident a “black-eye for law enforcement” and said no criminal charges were expected to be filed.

On Monday, the owner of the Junction City McDonald’s denied his employees wrote the message. Dana Cook said video surveillance proved his workers committed no wrongdoing. (Read more from “Police Officer Admits to Fabricating Story About Vulgar Message on Cup” HERE)

12-Year-Old Boy Fends off 20-Year-Old, Saving His Great-Grandparents in Stabbing Attack

Police say a 12-year-old Texas boy saved the lives of his great-grandparents this week, when he fought off his 20-year-old brother who began stabbing the elderly victims in a fit of rage. . .

Lucian Johnston, 20, was arrested Monday, accused of using a pocket knife to stab his great-grandparents — ages 92 and 76 — in the head and neck on Sunday night. The alleged attack occurred while the elderly victims were in a vehicle with Johnston, and dropping him off at a friend’s house.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Johnston’s 12-year-old half brother, who was also in back seat of the vehicle with Johnston, was able to wrestle the knife away from the suspect and throw the weapon out the car window.

Trans ‘Man’ and ‘Non-Binary’ Partner Give Birth Using ‘Female’ Sperm Donor

A female-to-male trans man and their “non-binary” partner have had a baby in Brighton, England — assisted by a trans doctor and a female-to-male trans woman sperm donor.

39-year-old Reuben Sharpe, who began living as a man twelve years ago, gave birth to a child described by the left-wing Mirror as a “miracle baby” in “Britain’s most modern family” after two rounds of fertility treatment.

28-year-old Jay, Sharpe’s partner, was born a woman but has had a double mastectomy and now identifies as “non-binary”, so the pair had to inseminate Sharpe using donor sperm — which was provided by a trans woman who had retained their male sexual organs.

“It’s taken six years to get this far, but now we have a baby in our arms and that was the end goal. I finally feel complete,” said Sharpe.

“It wasn’t that I was desperate to have the birthing experience or pregnancy experience, but I wanted a child and I had the facility to do it.

Here’s How U.S. Universities Are Tracking Students

A handful of U.S. colleges are employing a type of social credit system through various technologies designed to track students as they attend courses and walk across campus.

Universities across the country are using the so-called SpotterEDU app to connect with apps on students’ smartphones for the purpose of boosting their “attendance points.” The app also sees their absences and logs that information into a campus database that tracks them.

“They want those points,” Syracuse University Professor Jeff Rubin, who teaches Introduction to Information Technologies, told The Washington Post. “They know I’m watching and acting on it. So, behaviorally, they change.” He was referring to the app’s ability to socially engineer his students. . .

“We’re adults. Do we really need to be tracked?” Robby Pfeifer, a sophomore at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, told WaPo. “Why is this necessary? How does this benefit us? … And is it just going to keep progressing until we’re micromanaged every second of the day?”

Pfeifer’s campus recently began logging the attendance of students connected to the campus’s WiFi network, which empowers colleges to track hundreds of thousands of students more precisely than at any other time in American history. Here Are the Most Extreme Pro-Abortion Policies of 2019

Pro-abortion lawmakers throughout the United States sought to instate policies in 2019 that expanded abortion access and removed safeguards on abortions. . .

Timing his move with the 46th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed the Reproductive Health Act in January. The bill not only removed abortion from New York’s criminal code, but it also allows non-doctors to perform abortions and allows women to obtain late-term abortions if their health is in danger or if their unborn baby is not viable. . .

Democratic Virginia Delegate Kathy Tran introduced HB 2491 in January, a bill that would allow doctors to perform abortions while the mother is giving birth. Virginia law currently states that second and third-trimester abortions should only be performed to preserve the health or life of the mother. . .

Maine took a shot at the state’s health and safety standards for abortions when Democratic Maine Gov. Janet Mills signed a bill June 11 permitting nondoctors, physician assistants and advanced practice registered nurses to perform abortions. . .

Democratic Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker in June signed the Reproductive Health Act, a law that makes abortion “a fundamental right” in the state of Illinois. The law is designed to alert women in surrounding states that they can travel to Illinois to receive abortions if they cannot receive them at home. Iraqi Catholic Official Who Survived 5 Assassination Attempts: ‘Jesus Told Me Not to Fear’

Assyrian Iraqi Christian Pascale Warda was not deterred when would-be assailants tried to kill her five times, vowing instead to bring the light of good governance to her nation stricken by the aftermath of war. . .

Speaking to the Register on Nov. 27 in Budapest, where she was attending the Second International Conference on Christian Persecution, Warda recounts those attempts on her life, explains how her faith helped her get through them, and how her “apostolic formation” equipped her to battle against corruption against all odds.

What exactly happened when attempts were made on your life, and how much did your faith help you through those times?

It’s important to see faith is a part of you; it’s not something you can take or leave from somewhere. It’s your life. It’s not a question of: “Ah, I will be Christian or not Christian; I’m very Christian now, and afterward I’m not a Christian.” No, no — even when I don’t speak about Christianity or Christian issues, what I do or say has a Christian perspective, even subconsciously, because I’ve grown up like that. I grew up Christian and was educated a Christian.

A French journalist was staying with me and writing a “day in the life” of me as a minister. We got in the car with many bodyguards, and he said: “You’re in danger! How do you feel? You are not afraid?” I said: “Afraid, yeah, maybe, but to stop, no. Nothing will stop me.” “How can you go?” he asked, and he was afraid to go with me. I said, “As you like, you can stay at home. I will go.” “What is making you go?” he asked. “Nobody is making me go, just this: In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit — and I go. Jesus told me not to fear, and so I will not fear. If I’m ever called to be a martyr, so be it. I am here for that. If Jesus wants that, I’ll be in the service of all these people who are living in great darkness, bringing them a little of his light.” “No one speaks like this,” he said. “I said, ‘Yes they do, and yet you’re French, but you say this as though it’s from the 13th century. Well, it’s our life today.’”

Catholic Exorcist Warns of Rise in ‘Aggressive Satanism’ Among Young People

Exorcist Father Francois Dermine for the Archdiocese of Ancona-Osimo in Italy said the problems of society can be blamed on a rise in “aggressive Satanism” in an article in Crux.

Dermine said young people can be especially affected by demonic energies because of secularism, imagery in video games and a lack of role models. . .

Dermine called the involvement of young people in a culture that celebrates the demonic a “Satanist mentality,” saying that those who are engaged with that culture “can become evil themselves very easily.”

“We must not underestimate this,” Dermine said, “because violence among young people is becoming more and more diffused. A violent mentality is very dangerous for our society, very, very dangerous. Our society risks collapse if it continues like this.” (Read more from “Catholic Exorcist Warns of Rise in ‘Aggressive Satanism’ Among Young People” HERE)
