Officer Injured When He Bites a Razor Blade in Sandwich He Bought From Store

Police are investigating how a razor blade made its way into a sandwich after an NYPD officer was injured when he bit into it. . .

He had purchased the sandwich from a store in Queens called Bon Appetit, and said that he found the razor after he felt it slice through his mouth. . .

Bon Appetit management released a lengthy statement apologizing for the bizarre incident and claiming they did not know how the razor got into the sandwich.

“In our experience, the NYPD officers of the 100th and 101st precincts have been an examplary [sic] example of professionalism and service to not only our business but to our local community in the Rockaways, Queens, and New York City at large,” the statement said.

“[T]he management of Bon Appetit would like to personally apologize to the officer and the rest of the local law enforcement community,” they continued.

Left-Wing Group Bails out Man Accused of Shoving 3-Year-Old Boy’s Head Into His Crotch. Later He’s Arrested for Groping 8-Year-Old Girl.

Luis Olivo was arrested in October following an incident in a Queens, New York, laundromat in which surveillance video allegedly showed him talking to a 3-year-old boy and passing a balloon back and forth before grabbing the boy’s head and shoving it into his crotch, the New York Post reported, citing a criminal complaint. . .

Olivio was charged only with a misdemeanor — endangering the welfare of a child — the Queens Chronicle reported.

The Bronx Freedom Fund — whose “envisions a society that humanizes instead of criminalizes” — posted $2,000 bail for the 63-year-old, whose last known address was a homeless shelter, and Olivo was set free Nov. 4, the Post said. . .

Well, Olivo was arrested again Sunday for allegedly molesting an 8-year-old girl inside a shopping mall in Queens, the Post reported. An eyewitness told police he saw Olivo stick his hand under the girl’s skirt and grope her, the Post added, citing court papers.

The girl also said Olivo took her hand and put it on his crotch under his jacket “so that no one would see” and “repeatedly tried to kiss her,” the Post said, citing court papers. Birth Control Pill May Be Shrinking the Brain

Birth control pills are one of the most popular ways American women prevent pregnancy, but scientists still don’t fully understand the medication’s unintended side effects. Now, a study points to a newly detected side effect of birth control: physical changes to a crucial area of the brain.

Brain scans from 50 women show that oral contraceptive pills may impact brain structure — something that previous studies haven’t really looked into, Michael Lipton, a professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the study’s lead author, tells Inverse.

Lipton and his team determined that oral contraceptive pills, or OCPs, were linked to lower brain volume in the hypothalamus. This is the area of the brain that affects body processes, like body temperature and heart rate, and brain processes, like appetite, mood, and sex drive. The new findings add an extra dimension to these known side effects.

The idea that brain volume changes when a person is on birth control isn’t as far-fetched as it may seem. Scientists already know that sex hormones like estrogen and progesterone can cross the blood-brain barrier, and when hormones fluctuate naturally they do affect the brain, Lipton says.

Meanwhile, hormonal variation during the average menstrual cycle is linked to structural and functional brain changes. Taking an oral pill may also have similar affects on the brain, the study suggests. (Read more from “Birth Control Pill May Be Shrinking the Brain” HERE)

Woman Accused of Selling Her Baby for $2K Is an Illegal Alien

A woman accused of selling her baby for $2,000, described by the national media as a “Kentucky woman” and a “mother in Kentucky,” is an illegal alien from Guatemala, Breitbart News has confirmed.

Maria Domingo-Perez, a 31-year-old mother of five children, was arrested in Warren County, Kentucky after she allegedly sold her baby to 37-year-old Catarina Jose Felipe and 45-year-old Jose Manuel Pascual.

A law enforcement official confirmed to Breitbart News that Domingo-Perez is an illegal alien from Guatemala who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border sometime last year. It is unclear whether she crossed with her children or whether they arrived alone as Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC). Disgusting Pro-Abortion Actress: ‘My Life Is More Important to Me Than an Unborn Fetus’ One. Suck on That.’

Outspoken pro-abortion actress Jameela Jamil blasted pro-life advocates on Twitter this week and made no bones about her position on the matter, saying “my life *is* more important to me than an unborn fetus’ one. Suck on that.” . . .

The British actress’ mention of feminist Gloria Steinem refers to a November Harper’s Bazaar interview between the two, in which they discussed abortion.

“I’m very outspoken about the fact that I, similarly to you, feel very passionately about a woman’s right to choose,” Jamil told Steinem in the piece. “I’m someone who’s had an abortion, and I feel like I need to make sure that we prove it’s not always just emergencies. People have abortions, sometimes a woman just wants her liberty, and we have to normalize that it’s okay just to make that choice for yourself, because your life is as important as a newborn life that doesn’t even exist yet.”

Steinem concurred, telling the actress: “I utterly agree, and actually, as maybe you already know, going to a very early speak-out about abortion was what made me realize that we needed a women’s movement. It took me a while to understand that the first step in every authoritarian regime is controlling reproduction, and that means controlling us. Unless we — men and women — have power over our own bodies and voices, there is no such thing as democracy.” . . .

After receiving criticism for what she said in the interview, Jamil hit back hard on Twitter, telling her detractors that “I SAID WHAT I F***ING SAID and you’re clueless if you think I’m going to take it back.”

Wives Reveal Disgusting Conditions of Military Housing

Housing companies subject military families to serious illness by purposefully covering up unsanitary housing conditions, military wives say.

Military Matters Foundation founders JoAnne Mantz and Janna Driver provided the Daily Caller News Foundation with exclusive polling and photographs and said that military families are subjected to mold-ridden homes that seriously impact the health of both their families and their husbands who serve in the Armed Forces. Mantz’s husband retired from the U.S. Navy Sunday, while Driver’s husband retired from the U.S. Air Force in March. . .

Driver and Mantz worked with Hayward Score, a group devoted to helping resolve unsanitary conditions in military housing, to publish a housing survey in November. The survey, conducted in 2018 and 2019, focused on the home and medical issues of families living in military housing. . .

The group polled 984 military respondents on over 75 bases nationwide. The polling found 68% of respondents reported odors, 62% reported leaks, 37% reported severe leaks and 33% reported poor maintenance. Seventy-eight percent reported excess dust, 41% reported water stains and visible mold, and 56% reported roaches or mice.

Seventy-five percent of respondents who reported symptoms of illness said that these symptoms stopped when they left the house, indicating, according to Hayward, that the house “is the problem.” These symptoms include increased allergies, sinus congestion, coughing, frequent headaches, feeling sick, sleep disturbance, extreme fatigue, mood changes, trouble sleeping, foggy thinking, feeling depressed, short-term memory, vertigo and heart palpitations. Transgender Activist Who Still Has Male Genitalia Is ‘Shocked,’ ‘Confused,’ ‘Hurt’ After Being Turned Away by Gynecologist

Jessica Yaniv — a transgender activist who made headlines earlier this year after filing numerous human rights complaints against salons in Canada that refused to wax Yaniv’s still-male genitalia — has raised a new stink. . .

Over the summer Yaniv pushed for LGBTQ “topless” swim parties for children as young as 12 at pools run by a Canadian town — and one of the stipulations was that parents and guardians are barred from attending. The municipality in question postponed voting on the matter.

Oh, and British Columbia’s Human Rights Tribunal last month determined that Yaniv’s complaints against the waxing salons were “divorced from reality,” and the trans activist was ordered to pay $2,000 to each of three respondents in the case.

Passengers Spend 11 Hours in the Air Going Nowhere Due to This

Passengers spent 11 hours in the air only to end up right where they started.

A flight from Amsterdam to Mexico was forced to turn around about five-and-a-half hours into the flight due to a volcanic eruption. The plane was reportedly unable to land at another airport because it was also carrying a cargo of horses.

KLM flight KL685 from Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport to Mexico City was over Canada when the decision was made to turn around, The Independent reports. The plane returned to the airport it originated from, making this a very long flight that ultimately went nowhere.

The plane was unable to land at its original destination because of volcanic activity from Popocatepetl, an active volcano near Mexico City. The eruption had created “unfavorable flying conditions.”

Black Voters Pulling Away from Democrat Party on Abortion, Education

A new announcement from the predominantly black and largest Pentecostal church in the United States and school choice polling data show black voters pulling away from the Democrat Party on two dominant issues in the 2020 elections: abortion and education. . .

Writing at the Washington Examiner, Timothy Head, executive director of the Faith & Freedom Coalition and Rev. Dean Nelson, executive director of Human Coalition Action, the two leaders noted:

Something remarkable just happened in St. Louis that you probably didn’t hear about. The Church of God in Christ, a seven-million-member black denomination, unanimously passed a historic resolution affirming the value and dignity of every human life and opposing the practice of elective abortion in America.

A key excerpt from the Resolution on the Sanctity of Human Life reads:

COGIC is one of the largest historically black Protestant denominations, which also include the National Baptist Convention, the National Baptist Convention of America, the Progressive National Convention, the African Methodist Episcopal Church, the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, and the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. Like these other groups, COGIC does not have a history of institutional involvement with causes typically associated with the Republican Party. Yet given the direction that abortion policy is moving in this country, its leaders felt compelled to act.

Greta Thunberg’s Plan to Save Carbon Emissions Backfires over Travel on Luxury Yacht

Teenage climate change activist Greta Thunberg refuses to fly on airplanes, relegating her trans-Atlantic travel to boats. The 16-year-old Swede believes the move cuts down on carbon emissions.

So, when Thunberg needed to travel from the U.S. to Europe last month in order to attend a climate summit in Madrid, Thunberg took a boat, of course.

However, as it turned out, Thunberg’s trip did not reduce carbon emissions. Instead, it produced the same amount that Thunberg hoped to save — perhaps even more.

That is because, as the Sunday Times reported, Nikki Henderson, a 26-year-old yacht skipper, flew to the U.S. from Britain to sail Thunberg’s ship — the La Vagabonde, a 48-foot catamaran — the 3,500 mile journey from the U.S. to Portugal. . .
