Man Charged With Murder After Forcing Pregnant Girlfriend to Induce Miscarriage

A California man has been arrested on a slew of charges, including murder, for allegedly causing his pregnant girlfriend to miscarry her baby by forcing her to take pills at gunpoint.

Jagmeet Singh Sandhu, 23, was arrested in Bakersfield on Wednesday afternoon on six felony counts, including first-degree murder, burglary, inflicting corporal injury on a cohabitant, assault with a firearm, false imprisonment with violence and threatening with intent to terrorize.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a 911 call came in at around 1am on Wednesday reporting that a pregnant woman had been held at gunpoint and forced by her boyfriend to ingest ‘numerous’ unknown pills with the intent to cause a miscarriage. . .

Disturbing Details: Parents Say Someone Hacked Into Camera in Their 8-Year-Old Daughter’s Room

By The Blaze. A Mississippi mom bought a Ring camera in order to stay in touch with her three daughters, but she returned it after four days because of a creepy occurrence with a stranger that hacked into her system. . .

A few days after they put up the camera, her daughter Ashley heard strange music coming from her room.

“At first what happened, I was in the hallway with my sisters and I heard some music, so I came upstairs and I hear some banging noise and I was like ‘who is that?'” the daughter said.

She says that someone’s voice then came through the camera. The voice of a man can be heard on the recording from the camera.

Atheist Group ‘Bullies’ Public School Into Cutting Live Nativity From Christmas Show

An Oklahoma public elementary school removed its third-grade live Nativity scene from its annual Christmas production after receiving a threatening letter from an atheist group.

Christopher Line, staff attorney at the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), wrote to F. Andrew Fugitt at the Center for Education Law that the school district was committing a “constitutional violation”:

A concerned Edmond Public Schools community member has reported that each year, third grade teachers at Chisholm Elementary have students rehearse a live nativity scene, which students then perform at the school’s holiday concert in December. We understand that Chisholm students who participate in the nativity play various roles, including Mary and Joseph, etc.

…

While a public school can hold holiday concerts, religious performances and instruction that emphasize the religious aspects of a holiday are prohibited … A live nativity performance celebrating the story of Jesus’s birth is precisely the sort of religious endorsement prohibited by the Establishment Clause.

Report: A Third of Independent Abortion Clinics in the United States Have Closed

Almost a third of the abortion clinics in the United States not affiliated with Planned Parenthood have closed over the course of the last seven years, according to a new report from the Abortion Care Network, which also says state-level abortion laws are partially behind the trend.

“Over the last decade, abortion clinics have been closing at an alarming rate,” the report claims. “Of those closures, the vast majority have been independent abortion care providers.”

The report breaks down abortion providers into four groups, with independent abortion clinics providing a 58% majority of abortion procedures, while Planned Parenthood is responsible for a 37% share. Doctor’s offices and hospitals together account for 4% of performed abortions. Furthermore, the report says, independent clinics represent only a quarter of the facilities offering abortion in the United States.

In 2012, the report says there were 510 non-Planned Parenthood abortion clinics operating in the United States. Since 2014, however, 136 clinics have closed down, while few others have opened, bringing the current total to 344, representing an overall decrease of over 32%. The report notes that a clinic is considered “closed” if it either closes entirely or stops providing abortions.

Also, the report finds that the trend of closures “threatens to make already-scarce abortion care beyond the first trimester increasingly difficult to access” and notes that 85% of the independent clinics that closed in 2018 and 2019 provided abortions after the first trimester.

The ACN finds one of the main reasons for the decreasing number of clinics is state-level pro-life laws, which make compliance expensive.

“Since 2010, anti-abortion politicians have passed more than 400 laws that attempt to make it too expensive or logistically impossible for abortion clinics to operate,” ACN executive director Nikki Madsen told CBS News in a story published on Wednesday. The report notes that independent abortion clinics “lack visibility, institutional support, and sustainable financial resources.”

The report also takes a jab at the wave of state-level abortion laws — such as fetal heartbeat legislation and bans on abortion based on sex, race, or disability — passed across the United States earlier this year. It notes that “several of the states that passed harmful restrictions this year are states where independent clinics play an integral role in providing abortion care.”

The report notes, for example, “Kentucky, North Dakota, and Mississippi only have one clinic remaining, and that clinic is independent,” while “in Louisiana and Alabama, the only remaining clinics are independent clinics and in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Georgia, the only providers of in-clinic [abortions] are independent.” (For more from the author of “Report: A Third of Independent Abortion Clinics in the United States Have Closed” please click HERE)

Doctors Said Woman Would Be Blind and Deaf. Her Parents Rejected Abortion and She Is Healthy

. . .Earlier this year, an Irish couple aborted their unborn baby after being told the baby tested positive for a potentially fatal fetal anomaly. Too late, they found out that the tests were wrong, and their aborted baby had been healthy. One can only guess how many other tragic cases there are like it.

Other parents have the wisdom to choose life for their unborn babies, understanding that their baby is a valuable human being, no matter what health problems they may have. . .

Catholic Philly reports the young woman shared her story Nov. 24 during the Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia’s Stand Up for Life dinner.

[Rachel] Guy said she was diagnosed with a chromosomal abnormality at 22 weeks of pregnancy, and several doctors urged her mother to abort her. Doctors told her parents that she probably would be blind and deaf and have intellectual disabilities, she said. . .

Her initial doctors’ predictions never came true. Today, Guy can both see and hear. Revealed: The Secretive Strategy Behind the Transgender Assault on Parental Rights

Last week, a British journalist unearthed a document laying out the transgender movement’s secretive strategy to seize control of governments, undermine parental rights, and target children for dangerous experimental drugs that lead to sterilization and genital mutilation. The document lays out a three-pronged strategy to victimize children when they are far too young to understand the ramifications of any hormone “treatment” or surgery.

As the Spectator’s James Kirkup revealed, transgender activists attack parental rights by getting ahead of the government agenda, tying their issue to more popular movements to create a “veil of protection,” and working in secret to “keep press coverage to a minimum.” In this way, they use their status as a minority to manipulate the government into enacting policies that would be opposed by the majority.

Dentons, which claims to be the world’s biggest law firm, crafted the report, working with Thomson Reuters Foundation and the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex Youth & Student Organization (IGLYO). Both Dentons and the Thomson Reuters Foundation claim the document does not necessarily represent their views, but they helped draft it, nonetheless.

“Only Adults? Good Practices in Legal Gender Recognition for Youth” warns that parental rights can damage children’s self-expression. “It is recognised that the requirement for parental consent or the consent of a legal guardian can be restrictive and problematic for minors,” the document argues.

In this foundational assumption, IGLYO reveals its aim: to circumvent parental consent when it comes to transgender identity. “Restricting” a child’s capacity for self-harm is an essential part of good parenting, and parents should have the right to protect their children from decisions that will damage them for the rest of their lives. No good father will allow his anorexic daughter to get liposuction, and no good mother will allow her son to cut off his arm or leg because he has body integrity disorder or identifies as an amputee. Mother Shamed for Mentioning ‘Father Christmas,’ Told Santa Is Now Gender-Neutral

A mother from Plymouth, England, says she was scolded online for daring to mention “Father Christmas,” and informed that Santa Claus “is now seen as gender-neutral.”

The Plymouth Herald reported on the alleged incident last week, and quoted the unnamed mother as telling them, “I’ve just been shamed [on a Facebook group] for using the name ‘Father Christmas’ and [told] that ‘Santa’ is now seen as gender neutral. I was only referring to the book below [‘Father Christmas’ by Raymond Briggs] but it’s left me a little confused/on edge about what we are aloud [sic] to say.”

The mother added, “I have a small child and don’t really want to raise him saying ‘Father Christmas’ if it’s hurtful to some.”

The original message stream on Facebook has not been disclosed, but as other media outlets have picked up the story, debate over the incident has gained momentum online.

Fox News reported that one user reacted by saying of Santa, “Seriously! He’s a guy, quite clearly a guy. I would have bitten back by calling him St. Nicholas to be honest. Bank Employee Claims He Was Denied Promotion Because He’s Heterosexual

The Federal Court of Canada ruled in favor of a male employee for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce who said his boss informed him he had “no hope” for promotion unless he joined a “group” of gay and bisexual men. The employee, Aaren Jagadeesh, who is heterosexual, filed a discrimination complaint in April 2017, but the Canadian Human Rights Commission dismissed the complaint in November 2018, writing, “Before rendering the decision, the Commission reviewed the report disclosed to you previously and any submission(s) filed in response to the report. After examining this information, the Commission decided … to dismiss the complaint because, having regard to all of the circumstances of the complaint, further inquiry is not warranted.”

But the Federal Court has ordered a new investigation and assessment.

The National Post reports, “An investigator with the human rights commission was assigned to look into the complaint. CIBC officials were interviewed — but not the manager who allegedly made the remarks about only gay and bisexual men being promoted. That manager, the investigator was told, was on ‘extended leave of absence.’”

Jagadeesh was employed by the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in Toronto as a financial services representative. He claims he was repeatedly turned down for promotions. Jagadeesh said he met alone with his manager on Sept. 15, 2015, and the manager said every male manager in the office was was gay or bisexual, and followed by informing him of his zero chances for promotion unless he joined the group.

The National Post adds, “Jagadeesh claims the manager said this was why young male employees with little or no qualifications were promoted; told him to ‘be smart and learn’; and then allegedly asked Jagadeesh what he thought of him.” According to Jagadeesh, he told his boss that he simply viewed him as his manager, that he had no problem working with anyone, and that he was heterosexual. Shocking Number of Children Show Signs of Smartphone Addiction

Recent national surveys project that 53% of children will own a smartphone by age 11. While the reality of a child being able to utilize the features of a smartphone has provided many new benefits to both them and their parents, the harm of unlimited access to smartphone technology on a child’s mental health has many experts worried.

According to a recent systematic review conducted by researchers at King’s College London, roughly one in four children and young people who own a smartphone display what mental health experts call “problematic smartphone usage,” which can be further described as “behaviours linked to smartphone use that resemble features of addiction.”

While many people think of addiction as a behavior driven by things such as drugs, alcohol, or tobacco, the concept of addiction to technology has become a serious reality in recent years, which has caused people to display behavior similar to those with dependence on hard or soft drugs.

In their findings, the researchers sought to identify several different features of addiction to smartphone technology, including specific behaviors such as: “having an intense urge to use your phone,” “feeling panicked if it runs out of battery,” “neglecting other more important things to use it,” “spending more time on it than you first intended to,” “having other people complain about how much someone used their phone,” and “continuing to use it despite knowing how much it affected other areas of your life, including sleep or school work.” (Read more from “Shocking Number of Children Show Signs of Smartphone Addiction” HERE)

Defeated Greta Whines Climate Strikes Have ‘Achieved Nothing,’ Claims People Are ‘Dying Today’

On Friday, far-left activist Greta Thunberg struck a somber, defeatist tone while speaking to fellow climate activists gathered at the United Nations climate talks in Madrid, Spain.

The Swedish teen complained that school climate strikes have “achieved nothing” and claimed that opponents of her radical agenda are trying to “silence” her and her supporters. Thunberg also claimed people are currently “suffering and dying” due to effects of supposed man-made climate change.

“The global wave of school strikes for the climate over the past year has ‘achieved nothing’ because greenhouse gas emissions have continued to rise,” Thunberg reportedly told fellow activists, according to The Guardian. . .

“We can’t go on like this; it is not sustainable that children skip school and we don’t want to continue – we would love some action from the people in power. People are suffering and dying today. We can’t wait any longer,” Thunberg warned. . .
