Federal Judge Dismisses Nuns’ Lawsuit Against Smith and Wesson

A federal judge in Nevada dismissed a lawsuit by a group of nuns that claimed Smith & Wesson violated its fiduciary duty to shareholders by making and selling AR-15s.

On May 7, 2024, Breitbart News reported a similar dismissal in Nevada’s Clark County District Court, after plaintiffs including the Adrian Dominican Sisters, Sisters of Bon Secours USA, Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia, and Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus & Mary, filed suit. They filed a suit claiming that the defendants, who are Smith & Wesson board members and the company’s senior management team, “knowingly allowed the Company to become exposed to significant liability for intentionally violating federal, state, and local laws through its manufacturing, marketing, and sales of AR-15 style rifles and similar semiautomatic firearms.”

Their suit was dismissed.

Now it is 2026 ,and another lawsuit, and it was dismissed again.

Scientists Discover ‘Death Complex’ that Could Worsen Alzheimer’s — and How to Fight it

Scientists have long been racking their brains to crack the mechanism behind Alzheimer’s disease progression.

They may have finally found a crucial clue. A research team from Heidelberg University in Germany recently uncovered a hidden “switch” that acts like a death trigger for brain cells and plays a key role in cognitive decline.

The study also highlighted a new, experimental drug that could block the process, opening up possibilities for more effective treatments in the future.

With over 7 million people over 65 battling the degenerative disease — and the number expected to almost double by 2050 — new treatments are constantly being explored that tackle the toxic proteins that accumulate in the brain.

Researchers from Heidelberg and Shandong University in China used a mouse model of Alzheimer’s to examine a molecular process in the brain involving two previously studied proteins: the NMDA receptor and the TRPM4 ion channel. Trans athlete dominates California high school girls’ track event

A transgender California high schooler dominated a major track-and-field meet on Saturday, claiming three first-place medals in girls’ events — including the high jump, in which she beat the runner-up by almost a foot.

AB Hernandez, a senior at Jurupa Valley High School and a biological male, competed in the girls’ events at the Roosevelt Invitational over the weekend, despite being at the center of the Trump administration’s threat to cut federal funds to the state.

Hernandez swept the competition, securing the gold in the high jump with a clearance of 5′ 8″ (1.72m) — almost a foot higher than the 4′ 10″ (1.47m) cleared by the athlete who came in second.

Hernandez also easily claimed the top spot on the podium for the girls’ long jump and triple jump, where she recorded jumps of 17′ 3¼ ” (5.26m) and 38′ 4″ (11.68m), respectively.

The weekend’s victories follow a record-breaking performance in February at the VS California Winter Championships, where Hernandez won the girls’ triple jump with a leap of 39′ 10″. (Read more from “Trans athlete dominates California high school girls’ track event” HERE)

World’s Most Contagious Disease Rips Across California — as More Than 100 Kids Feared Exposed in Major City

Sacramento health officials are warning of a potential viral explosion after more than 100 children were possibly exposed to measles at an educational enrichment program.

The alarm was sounded after an unvaccinated child, who was infectious at the time, attended the unidentified program in Sacramento County last week.

Public health officials say as many as 130 children may have been exposed to the virus. The enrichment program has reportedly temporarily closed its facility following the incident.

“Measles, one of the most contagious infections, can lead to severe life-long consequences including permanent brain damage and can also be fatal, especially for children,” said Dr. Erica Pan, CDPH director and state public health officer, in a March 6 release.

“The measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine is safe and provides long-lasting protection against measles. Vaccination protects both our own families and those who are too young to be fully vaccinated.” (Read more from “World’s Most Contagious Disease Rips Across California — as More Than 100 Kids Feared Exposed in Major City” HERE)

Canada Reportedly Set To Surpass 100,000 Assisted Suicides

Canada is closing in on 100,000 deaths through its government-assisted suicide program, a threshold no modern nation has reached.

The Euthanasia Prevention Coalition (EPC) estimates approximately 94,125 Canadians died through Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) from legalization through the end of 2025, LifeNews reported. The group projects the country will cross the six-figure mark by mid-to-late April 2026. Ontario alone recorded 5,303 MAID deaths in 2025, a 7.2% jump from the previous year, suggesting the pace is accelerating rather than leveling off.

Official government data backs that trajectory. Health Canada’s Sixth Annual Report confirmed 76,475 cumulative assisted suicide deaths through Dec. 31, 2024. The program took 16,499 lives that year, accounting for 5.1% of all Canadian deaths and a 6.9% increase over 2023.

Those figures dwarf every other country with legalized euthanasia. The United States recorded just 5,329 assisted suicide deaths across 23 years of state-level programs, according to the National Post. Belgium tallied 33,647 over two decades. Switzerland logged 8,738 in a similar span. Only the Netherlands posted a higher percentage of total deaths from euthanasia at 5.8%, but its smaller population yielded far fewer raw cases, 9,958 in 2024 compared to Canada’s 16,499.

Inseparable Couple of 70 Years Died Holding Hands After Tragic Car Crash: ‘Quite the Pair’

A beloved Maryland couple who were married for 70 years died holding hands in their hospital beds after being taken off life support following a horrifying car crash last week.

Kenneth and Marilyn Oland, high school sweethearts who wed in July 1955, died side-by-side Monday in a Baltimore hospital, six days after a car slammed into the side of their vehicle on Route 15 near their Thurmont home, according to their obituary and multiple reports.

Kenneth, 90, who was driving, and his 88-year-old wife were rushed to the hospital and placed on life support after suffering complications from the collision.

“I don’t think one could’ve lasted without the other,” their heartbroken friend, Nancy Echard, told Fox 5.

“That’s how tight they were. You always saw them together, no matter where you were.” (Read more from “Inseparable Couple of 70 Years Died Holding Hands After Tragic Car Crash: ‘Quite the Pair’” HERE)

GOP Rep. Tony Gonzales admits to having affair with ex-aide who burned herself to death: ‘I made a mistake’

Embattled Republican Rep. Tony Gonzales, who just advanced to a runoff in his Texas district’s primary election, admitted on Wednesday that he had an extramarital affair with a staffer who later fatally set herself on fire.

“I made a mistake, and I had a lapse in judgment,” Gonzales said during an interview on “The Joe Pags Show,” a day after Tuesday’s Republican House primary election.

“And there was a lack of faith,” the congressman continued. “And I take full responsibility for those actions.”

Gonzales indicated that he has “reconciled” with his wife since the May 2024 affair with his late staffer, married mom Regina Santos-Aviles.

“I’ve asked God to forgive me, which he has,” Gonzales said.

“When you make mistakes like this, it’s never easy. It humbles you,” he added. (Read more from “GOP Rep. Tony Gonzales admits to having affair with ex-aide who burned herself to death: ‘I made a mistake’” HERE)

Simple Snack Could Help Lower LDL and Support Heart Health, Study Reveals

A simple handful of pecans each day could deliver heart-health benefits, a new study found.

The research, done by the Illinois Institute of Technology and published in the journal Nutrients, analyzed more than 20 years of studies exploring how pecans affect heart and metabolic health. The study was a review of existing research, not a new clinical trial, and examined 52 studies conducted between 2000 and 2025, including trials involving human participants.

The most consistent findings related to cholesterol.

People who regularly ate pecans showed improvements in total cholesterol and LDL, often referred to as “bad” cholesterol, compared to those who did not include nuts in their diets. Some studies also reported healthier triglyceride levels.

Pecans are rich in monounsaturated fats, fiber and antioxidants, which are nutrients commonly associated with improved cardiovascular health, the researchers noted. (Read more from “Simple Snack Could Help Lower LDL and Support Heart Health, Study Reveals” HERE)

Far-Left Politician’s Shocking Marriage Secret — as She Lobbies Against Bombings

Fatima Iqbal-Zubair, a far-left Democrat running in California’s 65th Assembly District, is an anti-war climate activist who’s called to defund the Pentagon — even as her household has profited from one of the nation’s largest weapons manufacturers.

The DSA-aligned candidate is the spouse of Fazlul Zubair, who works as a systems engineer manager for Raytheon, the same company that built the Tomahawk missiles reportedly used in the Iran strikes over the weekend.

The California Post asked Iqbal-Zubair to respond to the contradiction between her policy positions and her husband’s employment to Raytheon, which rebranded to the RTX Corporation in 2023.

“I have no comment,” she told The Post.

Iqbal-Zubair previously ran for state assembly in 2020 and 2022, when she was endorsed by the Democratic Socialist of America, an organization that pushes anti-war policies and advocates to defund the US military.

The Post reached out to the DSA to ask if it was aware of Iqbal-Zubair’s connection to one of the world’s largest defense contractors, but did not hear back. (Read more from “Far-Left Politician’s Shocking Marriage Secret — as She Lobbies Against Bombings” HERE)

Shocking report exposes terrifying reality of assisted suicide in Canada

Patients in Canada are having their lives ended by assisted suicide on the same day that they submit their paperwork requesting it, according to a shocking new report.

A total of 65 people died under the country’s Medical Aid in Dying (MAiD) program on the same day they applied for it in 2023 in Ontario, a report from the Chief Coroner of Ontario’s Medical Assistance in Dying Death Review Committee (MDRC) revealed.

A further 154 patients were helped by the state with ending their lives the day after the request was made, the report states.

In one shocking case, a woman in her 80s, only referred to as Mrs. B, had her life ended under the country’s euthanasia program despite withdrawing her request — when her husband and caregiver requested it again on her behalf. . .

Her spouse then requested another euthanasia assessment, which deemed Mrs. B eligible despite her expressed desire to opt for palliative care instead. (Read more from “Shocking report exposes terrifying reality of assisted suicide in Canada” HERE)
