Transgender-Identifying Man Convicted of Murder Transferred to Women’s Prison

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation transferred a transgender individual found guilty of serial murder to a women’s prison Friday, according to reports.

Dana Rivers, a trans-identifying man who was convicted of murdering a lesbian couple and their son, was transferred to Central California Women’s Facility, according to reports. The 68-year-old Rivers murdered Charlotte Reed and Patricia Wright along with their 19-year-old son, Benny Toto Diambu-Wright, according to Mercury News. Rivers shot the victims with a handgun, stabbed Reed 47 times and then set the garage on fire, per the outlet.

The murderer was sentenced to life in prison for the crimes. Judge Scott Patton said Rivers’ criminal actions were among the worst he ever dealt with.

“It is a horrible thing to sentence someone to die in prison, and I don’t take that lightly,” Patton said, “But this is the most depraved crime I ever handled in the criminal justice system in 33 years. Frankly, you deserve to spend the rest of your life in prison.”

Johns Hopkins Pulls ‘Lesbian’ Definition After Uproar Over Use of ‘Non-Men’ Instead of ‘Women’

Johns Hopkins University removed an online glossary of LGBTQ terms and identities this week after its definition of the word “lesbian” used the term “non-men” to refer to women and some nonbinary people and fueled an online uproar.

Screenshots of the glossary before it was taken down showed that the university defined the word “lesbian” as a “non-man attracted to non-men.” It added that while past definitions have referred to lesbians as women who are sexually attracted to other women, the “updated definition” is intended to include nonbinary people who may identify with the label.

“The LGBTQ Glossary serves as an introduction to the range of identities and terms that are used within LGBTQ communities, and is not intended to serve as the definitive answers as to how all people understand or use these terms,” Megan Christin, the university’s director of strategic communications, said in a statement Wednesday. “While the glossary is a resource posted on the website of the Johns Hopkins University Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI), the definitions were not reviewed or approved by ODI leadership and the language in question has been removed pending review.”

Christin did not respond to questions regarding when the online glossary was first uploaded.

Screenshots of the glossary sparked an online firestorm in recent days, with many women, including some lesbians, calling the definition “misogynistic” and noting that the definition for “gay man” did not use similar language, such as “non-women.”

Thousands of Schools Urge or Instruct Teachers to Hide Students’ Gender Identity From Parents: Report

Thousands of schools across the country provide teachers and staff with guidelines that mandate or urge them to keep students’ gender identity a secret from parents, a parental rights organization alleges.

Parents Defending Education (PDE) maintains a state-by-state list of schools and school districts that have policies allowing or requiring staff to hide students’ gender identities.

The organization’s website includes a list of school districts by state it says “have Transgender/Gender Nonconforming Policies that openly state that district personnel can or should keep a student’s transgender status hidden from parents.”

While the list is not all-inclusive, the organization found 1,000 school districts and 17,612 total schools have implemented such policies. Altogether, 10,215,454 students attend those schools. “This list is not comprehensive; if you are aware of a district policy that is not on the list, please notify PDE,” the site requests.

“We can barely keep up with our tracker because the numbers are so overwhelming, as parents constantly send us their schools’ policies to add to the list,” Director of Outreach Erika Sanzi remarked in a statement to the Daily Caller. “These policies that deliberately deceive parents are pervasive and we must eradicate them.” (Read more from “Thousands of Schools Urge or Instruct Teachers to Hide Students’ Gender Identity From Parents: Report” HERE)

‘To Glorify God…that Is Our Purpose’: Women’s Softball Champs Stun Reporters by Pointing to Christ

Fresh off their 3-1 victory over Florida State to clinch the Women’s College World Series and their third straight national title, several players on the Oklahoma Sooners women’s softball team stunned reporters when they explained that their “true joy” comes not from winning a game, but from their unshakeable relationship with Jesus Christ.

“How do you keep the joy for so long when anxiety seems like a thing that can very easily set in?” a reporter asked a panel of team members during a post-game presser Thursday.

“Well, the only way that you can have a joy that doesn’t fade away is from the Lord,” shortstop Grace Lyons answered without hesitation.

“Any other type of joy is actually happiness that comes from circumstances and outcomes,” she continued. “Joy from the Lord is really the only thing that can keep you motivated, just in a good mindset no matter the outcomes.

“Thankfully we’ve had a lot of success this year but if it was the other way around, joy from the Lord is the only thing that can keep you embracing those memories, moments, those friendships…that’s really the only answer to that, because there’s no other way. Softball can’t bring you that because of how much failure comes from it and how much of a rollercoaster it can be,” Lyons said. Cracker Barrel Faces Boycott Over ‘Woke’ Post Celebrating Pride Month

Cracker Barrel is the latest brand facing a boycott over celebrating Pride month. Cracker Barrel received backlash for proudly announcing that the restaurant chain with southern comfort food was vowing to push DEI initiatives with an LGBTQ+ alliance.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store shared a post honoring Pride month on its official social media accounts on Thursday. The post featured a photo of a rainbow-colored version of the chain’s iconic rocking chair sitting on the porch. The photo had the caption: “We are excited to celebrate Pride month with our employees and guests. Everyone is always welcome at our table (and our rainbow rocker). Happy Pride!”

The post was shared on the company’s Instagram and Facebook accounts. A majority of the reactions on Facebook approved of the post; however, there were thousands of social media users who railed against the Pride month messaging. Dozens of users vowed to boycott the restaurant chain.

Users asked that the restaurant chain stay out of politics and “stick to biscuits and gravy.” Others threatened to boycott Cracker Barrel and never eat at the restaurant again for promoting “woke” ideologies.

On the Cracker Barrel website, the southern restaurant chain boasted about the company’s “LGBTQ+ Alliance” and “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Team.”

Woman Accused of Attempting to Murder Another Woman’s Unborn Baby With Abortion Pills

A Florida woman is accused of attempting to murder another woman’s unborn baby, Tampa Bay 10 reported over the weekend, citing law enforcement.

Haley Raborn, 21, allegedly tried to bribe the pregnant woman’s former fiancé in April to slip the pregnant woman abortion pills without her knowledge, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office. The woman was 11 weeks pregnant at the time.

“Deputies say the woman reached out to the sheriff’s office after learning about Raborn’s plan from her former fiancé. Raborn had a previous romantic relationship with the fiancé and reached out to him to request that he kill the unborn child by giving the pregnant woman an abortion pill,” according to the report.

Authorities said the ex-fiancé provided law enforcement Snapchat messages between himself and Raborn, which allegedly included premeditated instructions for how to carry out the crime. Raborn allegedly offered to pay the fiancé with a pair of AirPods if he successfully carried out the abortion. The fiancé turned the abortion pills over to law enforcement, the report states.

Detransitioned Navy SEAL Warns Parents About Gender Surgery Saying They Are Not Being Given All the Data

A Navy SEAL who detransitioned is now warning parents about getting their children gender-affirming surgery saying they aren’t being given complete information before deciding on the radical procedure.

Chris Beck, a retired member of SEAL Team Six who came out as transgender in 2013, argued parents are in the dark when children express gender dysphoria.

He cited studies that showed that 80 percent of children who express gender dysphoria no longer feel that way once they finish puberty.

Other studies found that more than half of the parents who were referred to gender therapists said they felt directed to put their kids on medical treatments or change their wardrobe.

‘Y’all need to start leaving these kids alone,’ he told FOX News Tonight host Joey Jones over the weekend. ‘They’re castrating them. They’re doing these double mastectomies. Children’s Choir Singing National Anthem Silenced by Capitol Police

Capitol police silenced a South Carolina children’s choir during their rendition of the National Anthem in National Statuary Hall.

David Rasbach, the founder and director of the Rushingbrook Children’s Choir, had received prior written approval from three congressman — including Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) — to perform five songs at the Capitol on Friday, May 26, the Daily Signal reported.

Micah Rea, founder and principal of The Rea Group and organizer of the trip, said the group received written approval from South Carolina Republican Reps. William Timmons and Joe Wilson. In addition, he had a staffer from Rep. Wilson’s office to confirm it was still approved.

Upon arriving at the Capitol that day, the choir from Greenville, South Carolina, was momentarily stopped by Andrew Tremel, the visitor operations manager at the Architect of the Capitol, but he allowed them to continue once he received approval through his earbud, the Western Journal reported.

Woke Women’s Magazine Features ‘Trans Pregnant Man’ for ‘Pride Month’ Cover

On Thursday, left-wing women’s magazine Glamour UK announced that a “trans pregnant man” named Logan Brown is its June “Pride Month” cover star.

According to the outlet, Brown is an author and “father.” Brown “unexpectedly became pregnant” with her partner, a drag performer who identifies as “non-binary.” . . .

In March 2023, Brown, 27, who works as a residential children’s support worker, shared her story about transitioning on a blog called Up the Duff Man. Glamour noted that a TikTok star (who was not named in the article) was “transphobic” towards the Brown and her partner, Bailey Mills, by stating that “men can’t get pregnant” in response to their pregnancy (via Glamour):

While his writing resonated with (and beyond) the LGBTQIA+ community, Logan and his partner Bailey Mills – who uses the pronouns ‘they/them’ and is known for their ‘hun’ humour and drag performances on TikTok – were subject to rampant transphobia, particularly from another TikToker who repeatedly commented, “Men can’t get pregnant” across Logan’s social media accounts. In a display of solidarity, Logan and Bailey’s followers were quick to condemn the transphobic comments, but the whole episode garnered traction online and threw the couple further into the spotlight.

Pro-Life Protesters Beaten Outside Planned Parenthood

Two senior citizen anti-abortion protesters were attacked outside of a Planned Parenthood clinic in North Baltimore on Friday morning, sending one to the University of Maryland Medical Center.

“Please pray for my dear friend, Mark Crosby,” President of the Baltimore County Right to Life organization Jay Walton said on Facebook Friday. “He was viciously attacked yesterday, May 26, 2023 while he was praying in front of Planned Parenthood in Baltimore City. He and another prolifer were attacked from behind and the thug ran away.” . . .

WMAR reported that surveillance video shows the suspect tackling Shafer, disturbing a large flower planter outside of the abortion facility. When Crosby came to Shafer’s aid, the assailant shoved Crosby to the ground, and the person was seen punching and kicking him in the face.
