Study Finds Toxic ‘Forever Chemicals’ May Be ‘Intentionally Added’ to Some Period Products

A number of period products such as pads, tampons and menstrual cups contain potentially toxic “forever chemicals” which might be intentionally added to them in some cases, according to a new study.

Researchers, including Graham Peaslee from the University of Notre Dame in the US, said while these products are designed to make people feel comfortable during a menstrual bleed, their labels do not usually list the ingredients.

In the new yet-to-be peer-reviewed study, scientists assessed over 100 period products for fluorinated compounds – an indicator of potentially harmful per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS. . .

The new research found that while PFAS are absent from many period products, they might be accidentally or intentionally added to others.

‘Barbie’ Banned in Kuwait, Under Fire in Lebanon for ‘Promoting Homosexuality’

Though Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” movie has topped $1 billion in global ticket sales, some countries still aren’t on board.

The bubblegum pink flick won’t see a premiere in Kuwait to protect “public ethics and social traditions,” Reuters reported.

Lafi Al-Subaie, chairman of the film censorship committee in Kuwait, has accused “Barbie” of “carrying ideas that encourage unacceptable behavior and distort society’s values,” according to the Hollywood Reporter, which cited local media reports.

And in Lebanon, per Reuters, the film has been accused of “promoting homosexuality.”

Harry’s Razors CEO Brags About Treating ‘Birthing’ and ‘Non-Birthing Parents’ Equally, Leading ‘Socially Minded’ Company in Viral Video

The CEO of Harry’s razors has jettisoned traditional words to describe the gender of parents and instead replaced them with awkward and crude terms preferred by leftists, all apparently in the name of keeping his company “socially minded.”

Last week, a clip of CEO Andy Katz-Mayfield discussing the company’s parental leave policy went viral on social media, mostly because Katz-Mayfield never mentions mothers and fathers or moms and dads in it. Instead, he brags that at Harry’s, both “birthing” and “non-birthing parents” are granted four months of leave after a child is born into their family.

“That treats birthing and non-birthing parents equally,” he says proudly. Those in the audience soon afterward clap, and Harry’s co-founder Jeff Raider sits silently in approval.

This “equal parental leave policy” at Harry’s is just one example of what Katz-Mayfield calls the company’s social-mindedness. “We also, as a company, have always tried to be sort of socially minded and not just be about bottom-line profits,” he explains before the clip abruptly ends. Library Director Resigns After Parents Called For Defunding Over ‘Pornographic’ Children’s Books

The director of a Virginia public library has resigned following demands from outraged parents that the library be defunded over “pornographic” children’s books.

Michelle Ross resigned effective immediately as director of the Samuels Library in Front Royal in northern Virginia on Thursday. The move came during an emergency meeting of the Samuels Public Library Board of Trustees, who accepted her resignation.

“The board is 100 percent behind Michelle’s decision. We understand that it’s the best thing for her — her health and well being. We wish her well,” said Board of Trustees President Melody Hotek.

The library board has appointed Eileen Grady, a 21-year veteran of the library, as interim director and hopes to have a permanent director within six months.

Porsche Apologizes After Viewers Notice It Erased a Historic Christian Landmark From Its New Ad

Porsche elicited outrage over the weekend after keen observers recognized the company had edited a historic Christian landmark of its new advertisement. Although the German company has issued an apology and taken down the video, questions persist about the motivations behind the company’s virtual iconoclasm.

The German company, owned by the Volkswagen Group, recently put out a video celebrating 60 “very fast years” of its signature two-door sports cars, the latest of which goes for over $290,000.

In the original iconoclastic version of the video — which has been rendered private on YouTube by the company but saved by one Twitter user — the car whizzes through the decades, years, and various locales, interrupted by the captions, “No matter how fast you move forward … never forget where you come from.”

Despite this plea to remember the past, viewers noticed that the company saw fit to erase one key piece of history from memory.

As the 911 speeds past the 25th Abril Bridge, which connects the Portuguese capital city of Lisbon to the municipality Almada, a pedestal can be seen in the background without its historic statue. Native Man Whose Sex-Change Operation Brought Him Nothing but ‘Discomfort and Pain’ Is Now Battling to Get Euthanized

The Canadian government is more than willing to euthanize the poor and the disabled, but appears reluctant to exterminate someone suffering the consequences of another controversial service it promotes and provides.

Lois Cardinal is a 35-year-old native man who lives on an Indian reserve near St. Paul, Alberta, and describes himself as “post-op transsexual woman of 14 years.”

Since his sex change appears to have brought him nothing but “constant discomfort and pain,” Cardinal attempted to take the Trudeau government up on its promise of euthanasia. However, he recently had his bid rejected — a decision he has since characterized as a “human rights concern.” . . .

Like other victims of sex-change mutilations and/or sterilizing hormone therapies, Cardinal is stricken with remorse.

TheBlaze previously reported that late last year, Cardinal bared his soul online, claiming that the system rushed him into a surgery that he “wasn’t yet ready for. Olympic Boxer Found Guilty of Kidnapping, Killing Pregnant Girlfriend Who Refused to Get an Abortion

An ex-Olympic boxer was convicted of kidnapping and murdering his pregnant lover and their unborn child by throwing her off of a bridge after she refused to have an abortion.

The guilty verdict. handed down Friday in the U.S. District Court of Puerto Rico, found Felix Verdejo guilty of kidnapping resulting in death and intentionally killing an unborn child. The trial lasted 25 weeks, during which the jury of nine men and three women heard horrific allegations and details about the gruesome murder of Keishla Rodriguez in April of 2021. Still, the jurors could not reach a unanimous verdict on the charge of intercepting and stealing a vehicle with the consequence of causing death or the charge of carrying a weapon to commit a violent crime.

Central to the case was the testimony of Verdejo-Sanchez’s alleged accomplice, Luis Antonio Cádiz. Cádiz pleaded guilty last year after securing a plea deal agreement in which he provided vital details about the violent incident.

Cádiz told prosecutors that Verdejo had tried to persuade Rodriguez to get an abortion.

Cádiz also claims that Verdejo punched Rodriguez and injected her with what he believed to be heroin before both he and Verdejo tied Rodriguez’ limbs to a cement block and threw her off a bridge into a lagoon. Arizona Federal Judge Temporarily Rules Males Can Compete in Girls’ Sports

Last week, a federal judge in Tucson, Arizona, ruled in favor of the plaintiffs’ motion for a preliminary injunction blocking a state law that would prevent males from participating in girls’ sports. Arizona’s Save Women’s Sports Act was passed in 2022 and signed into law by then-Gov. Doug Ducey, ensuring that “…athletic teams or sports designated for ‘females,’ ‘women,’ or ‘girls’ may not be open to students of the male sex.”

Prior to the law’s passage in 2022, the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) had a policy allowing males to play on girls’ sports teams if they submitted a request that was approved by a “committee of medical and psychiatric experts, and consistent with AIA health and safety policy and if not motivated by an improper purpose.”

Arizona is not the only state to pass a law protecting girls’ sports. At least 20 other states have passed similar laws, most of which are also facing legal challenges. . .

However, the order, written by Obama-appointed Judge Jennifer Zipps, makes numerous “findings of facts and conclusions of law,” most of which sound like gobbledygook pulled straight from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) website.

According to Judge Zipps, the plaintiffs are likely to succeed on their claims that the Arizona law is unconstitutional because the two transgender plaintiffs, 11 and 15 years old, respectively, have taken medication that prevents them from going through male puberty. Woman Who Disappeared After Claiming to See Baby on Side of Road Admits the Truth

Carlee Russell, the Alabama woman who went missing and told a bizarre tale about seeing a toddler on the side of a freeway and being abducted, lied about the whole thing, authorities said Monday.

Russell’s attorney, Emery Anthony, emailed a statement to the Hoover Police Department stating Russell admitted to not seeing a baby on the road and was not a missing person, police Chief Nicholas Derzis told reporters.

“My client did not have any help in this incident. This was a single act done by herself,” the statement said. “My client was not with anyone or any hotel with anyone from the time she was missing. My client apologizes for her actions to this community, the volunteers who were searching for her, to the Hoover Police Department and other agencies as well and to her friends and family.”

Derzis said authorities were talking with local prosecutors about the possible filing criminal charges against Russell. He said a meeting was scheduled between investigators and Anthony on Tuesday to discuss what happened to his client during the 49 hours she couldn’t be found.

Here’s How NYT Covered a Story About a Teen Who Aborted, Then Burned Her Baby

The New York Times (NYT) hid gruesome facts about a Nebraska teen, who aborted her near-full-term baby at home before burning and burying the fetus, to try and spin the story about abortion rights.

Then-17-year-old Celeste Burgess was nearly 30 weeks pregnant when she took an abortion pill her mother purchased to end the pregnancy. The Food and Drug Administration permits the pill for the first 10 weeks of pregnancy, while the abortion was past the 24-week mark, which is when the baby is considered able to live outside the womb.

Burgess was not charged with violating the state’s abortion law, but was instead charged for what she did after. Burgess pleaded guilty to removing or concealing human skeletal remains after she admitted to giving birth to the stillborn baby before burying it with her mother. Authorities said the women later dug the remains up, drove them to a different location and buried them again. A man who helped the women bury the baby told authorities the women tried to burn the fetus. The fetus’ body had “thermal injuries,” The Times reported.

But The Times hid the gruesome facts from its headline and lede paragraph, instead framing the sentencing as targeting women for having abortions.

“Nebraska Teen Who Used Pills To End Pregnancy Gets 90 Days In Jail,” the headline read.
