9-Year-Old Boy Dies in Drive-by Shooting During Grandma’s Birthday Party

A 9-year-old boy died Saturday in a drive-by shooting during his grandma’s birthday party in Chicago after four to six shots were fired.

Ulysses Campos was killed by a bullet to the chest around 10:15 p.m. at the Franklin Park party when he was playing with other children in an Elder Lane alley, according to CBS News Chicago. Campos was transported to Loyola Hospital in Maywood, where medical personnel pronounced him dead.

The suspect’s vehicle was found in unincorporated Leyden Township by Franklin Park Police and the West Suburban Major Crimes Task Force. The unidentified suspect was arrested and is being held in jail.

The victim’s uncle said that he was going to turn 10 in two weeks, according to ABC 7 Chicago. Campos had an infectious smile and a love for making people laugh, his uncle said. Ex-Team USA Gymnastics Fiend Larry Nassar Stabbed 8 Times in Neck, Back and Chest While in Prison

Child molester Larry Nassar was stabbed multiple times in the federal prison where he was sent to rot for sexually assaulting hundreds of gymnasts, including gold medal-winning Olympians.

Nassar, 59, was stabbed twice in the neck, twice in the back and six times in the chest in the Sunday afternoon attack in the Federal Correctional Complex Coleman in Central Florida, a union official told The Post.

He was listed in stable condition despite suffering a collapsed lung, said Local 506 president Joe Rojas, a New York native who’s worked at the prison for nearly 30 years. . .

Still, the union leader stressed that while Nassar was listed as being in stable condition, that could change given that he appears to have been “hit in vital organs” with what was likely an unsanitized makeshift metal weapon. . .

And I’d like to say, sincerely: You go, menstruator!

Sound ridiculous and dehumanizing? I’m simply borrowing Okamoto’s own parlance.

This week, the August CEO appeared on a “CBS Mornings” segment to talk about August — but she excluded and demeaned her lone customer base: women.

On Father’s Day, Biden said that “family is life’s greatest blessing and responsibility.” . . .

But there is a joke here. A sick one.

It’s how Biden treats his seventh grandkid — a 4-year-old girl in Arkansas, who the Bidens have systematically erased from their family tree.

BBC Suspends Male Presenter Over Claims He Paid Teenager for Sexually Explicit Photos

The BBC said Sunday that it has suspended a leading presenter who is alleged to have paid a teenager for sexually explicit photos.

As senior British politicians urged a rapid investigation, the broadcaster said it was working to establish the facts of “a complex and fast-moving set of circumstances.”

The U.K.’s publicly funded national broadcaster was scrambling to head off a worsening crisis after The Sun newspaper reported allegations that the male presenter gave a youth 35,000 pounds ($45,000) starting in 2020 when the young person was 17. Governor Poised to Sign Bill Allowing Elective Abortions up Until Birth

Maine may soon allow elective abortions up until birth, pending final approval from the state’s governor.

The bill — H.P. 1044, An Act to Improve Maine’s Reproductive Privacy Laws — would allow a woman to receive a late-term abortion at any point if it is determined to be “necessary” by a doctor.

It’s likely the legislation will be codified. Maine Governor Janet Mills, a Democrat, introduced the bill in January alongside legislative leadership, both also Democrats: House Speaker Rachel Talbot Ross and Senate President Troy Jackson. At the time, Mills credited the case of Maine woman Dana Peirce as justification for the expanded legalization of abortion.

At eight months pregnant, Peirce wanted to abort her unborn son after he was diagnosed with a genetic mutation called lethal skeletal dysplasia, as reported by the Portland Press Herald. Peirce ultimately traveled to Colorado for an abortion because Maine law prohibits post-viability abortions where the mother’s life or health are not jeopardized. The law does allow elective abortions up to viability, generally recognized at 24 weeks.

Bill de Blasio Wondered if Marrying a Self-Identified Lesbian Meant There Was a ‘Time Bomb Ticking’ in His Marriage

Former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and his wife, Chirlane McCray, announced on Wednesday that they are separating after nearly 30 years of marriage.

In an interview with the New York Times, the couple cited de Blasio’s ill-fated 2020 presidential campaign and his seven-year tenure as mayor for putting a strain on the relationship.

And de Blasio noted that he had some initial doubts about the pairing — given that McCray had once publicly identified herself as a lesbian.

“For the guy who took the chance on a woman who was an out lesbian and wrote an article called ‘I Am a Lesbian,'” de Blasio told The Times, “there was a part of me that would at times say, ‘Hmmm, is this like a time bomb ticking? Is this something that you’re going to regret later on?’ So I always lived with that stuff.”

Ben & Jerry’s ice cream posted an anti-American message on social media as the nation celebrated its 247th birthday Tuesday.

“Ah, the Fourth of July,” the company claimed in a statement. “Who doesn’t love a good parade, some tasty barbecue, and a stirring fireworks display? The only problem with all that, though, is that it can distract from an essential truth about this nation’s birth: The US was founded on stolen Indigenous land.”

“The U.S. exists on stolen land,” the statement later added. “We have to acknowledge that—today and every day.” . . .

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) tweeted: “Ben & Jerry’s, your once-good ice cream now sucks. You just guaranteed that I (a once-loyal customer) will never again consume a single pint of it.”

“When you suggest ‘returning’ the land on which our country has been built for centuries, what exactly do you imagine?” he continued. “Expungement of property rights? Woman Reportedly Disinvites Conservative Uncle From Her Wedding, Then Is Shocked at the Consequences

. . .A woman’s conservative uncle was allegedly still expected to gift her money despite being uninvited from her wedding.

The brazen bride’s mother wrote to the “Ask Amy” column of the Chicago Tribune after experiencing the consequences of acting as her daughter’s mouthpiece.

The apparently politically progressive bride told her mother that her uncle, known to the daughter as “Uncle Dave,” caused her to “feel unsafe.” She requested her mother not invite Uncle Dave due to their political differences.

The mother explained she thought her daughter and Uncle Dave “always had a good relationship” despite his support of “candidates we all abhor.” Uncle Dave was describe to have “always been very nice,” and the mother was surprised by the sudden animus toward him. She, however, ultimately honored her daughter’s request. . .

Mystery Deepens: Man Found Alive 8 Years After Vanishing as a Teen Is ‘Nonverbal’ but Still Wearing Dead Brother’s Pendant

A 25-year-old missing Houston man who was found alive after disappearing in 2015 was still wearing his dead brother’s necklace when he was found last week — and is currently nonverbal and recovering in the hospital, his family says.

Rudy Farias, who disappeared in 2015 while walking his dogs, was miraculously found beaten and bruised Thursday by a Good Samaritan who called 911 according to his mother, Janie Santana.

“My son Rudy is receiving the care he needs to overcome his trauma, but at this time, he is nonverbal and not able to communicate with us,” Santana said in a statement to The Post provided by the Texas Center for the Missing.

“We are asking for privacy during this difficult time but will share more details as Rudy continues to heal,” she said, adding the family does not have any additional details about the case or where Farias has been for eight years.
