State Law Banning Pornography in Public Schools Goes Into Effect

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey approved Republican Rep. Jake Hoffman’s proposed House Bill 2495 on July 6. It went into effect this past weekend, meaning public schools in the state can no longer subject students to pornography.

While some opponents of the bill suggested that by preventing children from engaging with works depicting sodomy, masturbation, oral sex, and other sex acts, Arizona Republicans have effectively censored “LGBTQ+ stories,” Hoffman underlined that his objective, now realized, was the protection of “kids from sexually explicit material.” . . .

The law prohibits children’s use of or referral to textual, visual, or audio materials that contain graphic depictions — literal or simulated — of sexual conduct, sexual excitement, or sexual acts (e.g., normal sex, sodomy, and masturbation).

Notwithstanding suggestions from early critics of the bill that kids would be precluded from reading books like “The Canterbury Tales,” the bill states that materials may be exempted if they possess serious educational value for minors or possess serious literary, artistic, political or scientific value. Exempted material can be used and referenced on the condition that the school obtains parental consent in advance.

In the event that exempted material is the subject of an assignment or curricular learning and parental consent is not secured, an alternative assignment not containing explicit material must be provided. (Read more from “State Law Banning Pornography in Public Schools Goes Into Effect” HERE)

Woman Says Judge Forced Her to Give Ex-Husband Intimate Photos in Divorce

A Utah woman is outraged after a judge ordered her to give her ex-husband copies of intimate photo albums that she gifted him before their divorce.

Lindsay Marsh, 43, of Layton, said she felt violated over the decision that forced her to hand her ex-husband, Chris Marsh, redacted images that feature her in nude, topless and lingerie shots.

“You don’t know where to turn because you don’t know the law,” Marsh told Fox News Digital.

“You have an ex-husband who you were married to for years forcing you to distribute basically porn, and he thinks it’s OK, his attorney also thinks that it is OK, and then you bring it in front of a judge, and he thinks it’s OK.”

Second District Court Judge Michael Edwards ruled that Chris Marsh could have copies of the albums after the images of her nude or in lingerie are obscured, according to the decision. (Read more from “Woman Says Judge Forced Her to Give Ex-Husband Intimate Photos in Divorce” HERE)

New Study: Amounts of COVID-19 Vaccine mRNAs Found in Breast Milk

A new study published Monday revealed trace amounts of COVID-19 vaccine mRNAs were found in the breast milk of some lactating women.

The Journal of the American Medical Association, an international peer-reviewed general medical journal published since 1993, released the study to the public and has now issued a warning for women breastfeeding infants younger than six months. . .

The study included 11 healthy lactating women that were asked to collect and immediately freeze samples of their breast milk after receiving either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine within six months of delivering their newborn babies.

Participants also provided breast milk samples before vaccination and for five days post vaccination.

Of the 11 volunteers, 7 samples from 5 women showed trace amounts of both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, with the mRNA samples appearing in higher concentrations than whole milk. (Read more from “New Study: Amounts of COVID-19 Vaccine mRNAs Found in Breast Milk” HERE)

Progress in Cancer Treatment Has Saved 3.5 Million Lives Since 1991, Experts Say

According to new research, the last decade has seen “unprecedented progress” in the treatment of cancer, and more people than ever are surviving the disease, reports CBS News.

Annual statistics reported by the American Cancer Society (ACS) found that the U.S. cancer death rate has declined by 32% from 1991 to 2019 – a decrease that the ACS says saved 3.5 million lives.

“The U.S. cancer death rate is steadily declining, and more people than ever before are living longer and fuller lives after a cancer diagnosis,” states this year’s American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Cancer Progress Report. “In fact, the number of children and adults living with a history of cancer exceeded a record 18 million in January 2022.”

Research into cancer-fighting has led to a number of recent innovations. Between August 1, 2021, and July 31, 2022, the Food and Drug Administration approved “eight new anticancer therapeutics, 10 already approved therapeutics for use for new cancer types, and two new diagnostic imaging agents,” according to CBS News. Court Allows Arizona’s Near-Total Abortion Ban to Go Into Effect

Arizona’s Pima County Superior Court lifted an injunction Friday that had prevented enforcement of a state ban on abortion unless necessary to save a mother’s life, allowing the law to go into effect.

The court declared the state measure, now called Arizona Criminal Code § 13-3603, unconstitutional within weeks of the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. After Roe v. Wade’s June reversal, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich motioned the Pima County Superior Court to remove the decades-old injunction against enforcing the statute. . .

Arizona already passed a law restricting abortion after 15 weeks gestation earlier this year. The measure said it did not affect § 13-3603’s validity.

The court rejected plaintiff Planned Parenthood Arizona’s request for a modified injunction allowing licensed doctors to be exempt from § 13-3603. The organization said Friday the ruling was “sending Arizonans back 150 years” and its lawyers were mulling next steps. Gay Rights Organization Gets Deplatformed by PayPal While Pro-Pedophile Group Remains

A gay rights organization was deplatformed by PayPal and its subsidiary Venmo, only to discover on Thursday that pro-pedophile organization Prostasia continues to be on good business terms with the multinational financial technology company.

Gays Against Groomers, an organization comprised entirely of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and even transgender people, launched in 2022 and has had meteoric success at attracting followers to their cause exposing the harms done to children by some radicals hiding behind the LGBTQ banner. Gays Against Groomers wrote early on Tuesday that PayPal and Venmo had dropped them for “violating” their user agreement.

“The fact that an organization comprised solely of gay people, with trans contributors as well, is being banned from the largest payment processors in the country for opposing the sexualization and mutilation of children is shocking, to say the least,” said Jaimee Michell, the Gays Against Groomers founder.

“On top of that, we discovered tonight that while we have been banned, an organization that literally runs a support group for pedophiles is able to use PayPal’s services. It tells you all you need to know about the state of our society right now,” Michell added. Kamala Harris Applauds Dem AGs for ‘Taking on’ Pregnancy Centers

Vice President Kamala Harris applauded Democrat attorneys general for “taking on” pregnancy centers within their states during her speech at the Democrat Attorneys General Association Conference on Thursday.

Harris told the crowd she previously met with many Democrat attorneys general and “discussed the innovative strategies” they have used “to defend women’s reproductive freedom.”

Harris said:

You are taking on, rightly, the crisis pregnancy centers; launching public education campaigns because — I don’t think I have it here, but I’ll show you all a map of the United States right now, in terms of the patchwork of different laws in different states on this issue and the confusion it is creating and the need, then, for some of the most trusted elected officials to clarify the state of the law and, in the midst of the vast amount of confusion, the need of you as the truthtellers to sort out fiction from fact and combat misinformation and disinformation, which we all know often creates a situation that is ripe for predatory practices.

The vice president also applauded the Democrat AGs for “convening attorneys to provide pro-bono” services to “ensure women can access reproductive healthcare.” (Read more from “Kamala Harris Applauds Dem AGs for ‘Taking on’ Pregnancy Centers” HERE)

Abortion Landscape: Pregnancy Centers See Uptick in Calls Since Dobbs; Doctors Weigh In on Fetal Pain

Since the Supreme Court decided on the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case in June, effectively overturning Roe v. Wade, the landscape of abortion in the United States has shifted as pregnancy centers receive more calls and the conversation changes.

States have moved to restrict abortion or increase access to the procedure. California’s Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom even took out advertisements in Republican-led states, telling women how to get an abortion in California.

Jessica Warner of Heartbeat International told The Daily Wire that pregnancy centers have seen a change since the Dobbs decision.

“According to an informal poll we conducted at the end of July, we found that 66% of centers have seen an increase in calls since the Dobbs decision,” she said over email. “Option Line, our 24/7 national pregnancy helpline, has not seen a significant increase or decrease in contacts who are at risk for abortion, however we have noted a slight increase in those who seem to be on the fence about abortion.”

Warner said they think there has not been more of an uptick “due to the censorship we have seen from Big Tech. Google has banned the [sic] our ability to advertise Abortion Pill Reversal since September of 2021, following the Texas Heartbeat Bill being put into law.” (Read more from “Abortion Landscape: Pregnancy Centers See Uptick in Calls Since Dobbs; Doctors Weigh In on Fetal Pain” HERE)

Abortion Giant Planned Parenthood Stealth Edits Fetal Heartbeat Fact Sheet

Abortion giant Planned Parenthood reportedly issued a stealth-edit of its fact sheet on fetal development to alter language appearing to support the idea that fetuses indeed have a heartbeat after six weeks in the womb.

Though it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly when Planned Parenthood edited the language, Fox News noted that the organization’s website said that babies have a heartbeat at six weeks as early as July 25 of this year. Life News also noted the change on August 22.

“A very basic beating heart and circulatory system develop,” the original fact-sheet said in its “what happens during week 5-6” section.

The edited section now says the following: “A part of the embryo starts to show cardiac activity. It sounds like a heartbeat on an ultrasound, but it’s not a fully-formed heart — it’s the earliest stage of the heart developing.”

Planned Parenthood’s new fact sheet appears to conflict with the National Library of Medicine, which says that five-week-old fetuses have a “brain, spinal cord, and heart” that begins to develop, which then “beats at a regular rhythm” around six weeks. Health Task Force Proposes Screening All Adults Under 65 for Anxiety, Even if They Have No Symptoms

For the first time in its history, the U.S. Preventative Services Task Force has proposed that all adults under the age of 65 be screened for anxiety, even if they have no anxiety symptoms.

According to a Draft Recommendation Statement which USPSTF released on Tuesday, conducting anxiety screenings on all adults between 18 and 64 — including women who are pregnant or postpartum — takes “the first step” in connecting potentially vulnerable people to health care professionals who can help diagnose and treat a possible mental health condition.

“To address the critical need for supporting the mental health of adults in primary care, the Task Force reviewed the evidence on screening for anxiety, depression, and suicide risk,” said Task Force member Lori Pbert, Ph.D. “The good news is that screening all adults for depression, including those who are pregnant and postpartum, and screening adults younger than 65 for anxiety can help identify these conditions early so people can be connected to care.”

USPSTF claimed that the benefits of universal adult anxiety screenings until age 65 outweigh any risks, which may include inaccurate screenings and recommending mental health interventions for people who are mentally well.
