Pro-Abortion Crowd Silences Women Who Regret Them

Abortion proponents have embraced a drastic shift in messaging over the past few decades. In the 1990s, Bill Clinton’s “safe, legal, and rare” was the standard line — which is a far cry from today’s well-traveled maxims like “Free Abortion on Demand Without Apology” and “Shout Your Abortion.” Indeed, in the heart of abortion’s most ardent base, the strategy entails encouraging pride over shame and celebration over regret. But does this shift reflect the experiences of those who are disinclined to “shout” their abortions?

There’s an accusation lurking in the subtext of the abortion debate over abortion regret, implying that no woman should feel bad “terminating a pregnancy” if it was never suggested that abortion itself is bad. How paternalistic. First, “Big Abortion” sells women short by suggesting they will never be able to handle both a career and a family, and then they sell them an abortion. And now, abortion zealots make themselves the masters of how women must feel about it.

The pro-life movement at large has consistently perceived two victims in an abortion scenario — a child whose life is on the line, and a mother who is vulnerable to an industry that profits from violence and deceit. Those selling abortion must sever the one-of-a-kind physical relationship between mother and gestating child through abortion — lethal pregnancy violence that will be painfully understood by a mother when she finds herself empty of life.

Widespread abortion regret is supported by data, yet seldom reported. The physical and psychological risks of abortion are well known to those of us who support post-abortive women. New studies have shown that women who have abortions are 81 percent more likely to experience subsequent mental health problems. This includes being 110 percent more likely to abuse alcohol and 115 percent more likely to develop suicidal behavior following abortion. Another study notes women who ended their first pregnancy by abortion are five times more likely to report subsequent substance abuse than women who carried the pregnancy to term and four times more likely to report substance abuse compared to those whose first pregnancy ended naturally. Christian College Now Giving Students Pronoun Options

A Christian college, the Methodist Emory University in Atlanta, has announced a plan that gives students a choice as to the pronouns by which they are identified in school records.

The Methodist church in America is one of the traditional denominations that have come under the influence of various secular social agendas, including the LGBT agenda, and just days ago, more than 100 Florida churches filed a lawsuit to leave the United Methodist Church conference.

That follows numerous cases of individual churches fleeing the liberal agenda of the association’s leadership.

Now Campus Reform is reporting that Emory officials have established a process for students to choose whether they want to be known as “He/Him/His, She/Her/Hers, They/Them/Theirs, Xie/Hir/Hirs and Ze/Zir/Zirs.”

Mom Forbidden to See Teen Daughter After Refusing to Pretend She’s the Opposite Sex

Jeanette Cooper, a mom in Chicago, has missed her daughter’s 13th, 14th, and 15th birthdays. She doesn’t get to be there as her daughter is learning to drive. In fact, she has only seen Sophia for eight and a half hours in the last three years. That’s because Cooper lost custody of her daughter after refusing to go along with Sophia’s belief that she is transgender.

When Sophia was 12, Cooper went to pick her up from a custodial visit at her father’s house, but her daughter refused to come home. Cooper learned that Sophia, whom the mother said had always come across as more feminine than Cooper, now identified as transgender and felt “unsafe” around her mom.

In a video interview with Kelsey Bolar for the Independent Women’s Forum, Cooper said the court did a seven-month investigation. “When they temporarily kept her with her dad for a period, I was fine with that. I thought that’s what they should do. That’s the responsibility of the court to investigate if a child is saying that they feel unsafe,” Cooper said.

But Cooper wouldn’t lie and say her daughter was not a girl. “They want me to have a certain understanding that there is such a thing as a child who is born transgender, and this is who they are,” Cooper said, as noted in an article Bolar wrote telling her story. “I do not believe that to be true. I will not lie to the court. I will not state otherwise. I believe too strongly in my oath to tell the truth. My child is a girl, and I won’t lie to her or anyone else. I think that’s good parenting.”

According to the article, Cooper signed a new parenting agreement in which she gave up time with Sophia. “I suppose I agreed to it,” Cooper said. “I’m not sure I had any choice.” According to Bolar’s article, “In return for giving up her ability to spend time with her daughter, Jeannette negotiated for a legal commitment that Sophia will not medically transition without a court order or Jeannette’s written permission. Children’s Gender Clinic Founder Was a Consultant for Puberty Blocker Manufacturers

The co-founder and director of a clinic that aids in children’s sex change attempts, Dr. Stephen Rosenthal, has received money as a consultant from two pharmaceutical companies that are both under investigation for advertising puberty blockers.

Rosenthal is the cofounder and medical director of the University of California San Francisco Benioff Children’s Hospital’s Child and Adolescent Gender Center.

He received $38,704 from pharmaceutical companies between the years of 2015 and 2021, more than 98% of United States endocrinologists did, according to a report from Care Dash, a site that uses public records to track the money that doctors have received as compensation from pharmaceutical companies.

Of that sum, $16,765 came from Endo Pharmaceuticals and AbbVie; payments were linked directly to their products Supprelin LA and Lupron, which are both used off-label as puberty blockers for children who are attempting to change their sex. Public records reveal that Rosenthal has accepted consulting fees from both AbbVie and Endo Pharmaceuticals.

UMich Coach to Players: Don’t Have Abortions, ‘I Will Take That Baby’ if You Can’t Raise Them

Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh, a Catholic, is not backing down from his public pro-life stance, saying over the weekend that he and his wife Sarah would help raise a child if anyone in his personal circle, including his players, were thinking about abortion.

Harbaugh recently made headlines for speaking at the Plymouth Right to Life event in Michigan, where he emphatically stated, “I believe in having the courage to let the unborn be born.”

“Let’s discuss it,” Harbaugh expanded on his pro-life views to ESPN’s Gene Wojciechowski. “I’ve told [them] the same thing I tell my kids, boys, the girls, same thing I tell our players, our staff members. I encourage them if they have a pregnancy that wasn’t planned, to go through with it, go through with it. Let that unborn child be born, and if at that time, you don’t feel like you can care for it, you don’t have the means or the wherewithal, then Sarah and I will take that baby.”

At the pro-life charity event, Harbaugh said each human — born and unborn — has value.

Sesame Street’s Racial Justice Curriculum Begins With Infants

The nonprofit behind the iconic children’s show Sesame Street has created a “racial literacy” curriculum to expose young kids and their parents to key tenets of “anti-racist” ideology.

“Coming Together” by Sesame Workshop began in 2020 and is made up of videos, handouts and children’s books for parents to teach their kids the “ABC’s of racial literacy,” according to the nonprofit’s website. The program says children are “never too young” to learn about racism, which starts with infants because they begin to develop “preference for the faces of people from their own racial group.”

These ideas resemble those put forward by “anti-racist” writers like Ibram X. Kendi, who released a children’s picture book in 2020 after the death of George Floyd. Titled “Antiracist Baby,” the book encourages conversations with children about racism, especially for parents who think their child is “color-blind,” the Harvard Gazette reported.

‘Night of Terror’: Female Inmates Raped When Male Detainees Bribed Guard

Female inmates at an Indiana jail were subjected to a “night of terror” when male detainees gained access to their cells, the women allege in a lawsuit.

The lawsuit was filed Friday, July 22, by eight women against Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel and current and former Clark County Jail officers. It’s the second lawsuit filed this summer following the alleged incident, with 20 women filing suit in June, court records show.

The women claim that on Oct. 23, 2021, jail officer David Lowe gave two male detainees keys to the interior of the jail in exchange for $1,000.

That night, the two male detainees and other male inmates went into restricted areas of the jail that housed women, according to the lawsuit.

“Numerous male detainees used the keys obtained from Lowe to enter Pods 4(E) and 4(F), where they raped, assaulted, harassed, threatened and intimidated the plaintiffs in this lawsuit, and other women, for several hours, resulting in significant physical and emotional injuries,” the lawsuit filed in the United States District Court of the Southern District of Indiana says. Lawsuit: College Sold Foreign Students to Work at Dog Food Factory

A community college used the State Department’s J-1 visa program to import and then trade 14 foreign students to work at a local dog food factory, according to a lawsuit filed by the fraud victims.

College officials told the 14 Chilean students they were accepted into “a two-year program in which Plaintiffs would study at Western Iowa Tech Community College] WITCC and complete internships related to their field of study and at which they would work no more than 32 hours per week,” says the lawsuit, which was revealed by TheCollegeFix.com.

The lawsuit alleged:

After Plaintiffs arrived in the United States, they were assigned jobs at Defendants Royal Canin and/or Tur-Pak. The jobs to which Plaintiffs were assigned had no educational value and were completely unrelated to their intended fields of study. Plaintiffs were expected to work more than the 32 hours a week they had been told they would be working.

“The students made $15 an hour working for each of these firms, though they themselves kept $7.25 per hour,” according to TheCollegeFix. “The rest was paid to WITCC and J&L Staffing, in part to cover students’ housing, tuition, and fees,” it added. Medical Students Walk Out of Speech by Pro-life Physician

Incoming medical students at the University of Michigan walked out of their White Coat Ceremony this weekend when a doctor known for her pro-life views took the stage to deliver the keynote address.

Dr. Kristin Collier is a pro-life assistant professor of medicine at University of Michigan and director of the University of Michigan Medical School Program on Health Spirituality and Religion. Students and activists previously pressured the administration to cancel her remarks.

A video posted to Twitter shows many students, donning their white coats, getting out of their seats and leaving the amphitheater when Collier took the stage. The video has accumulated over 12 million views since Sunday.

The White Coat Ceremony is an event held at many schools where students mark their transition into the field of medicine.

Beforehand, Collier tweeted that she felt “bolstered” by the support she was shown ahead of the ceremony that day.

School District Requires Assisting Child ‘Gender Transition,’ Lying to Parents

Maryland’s Montgomery County Public Schools is requiring teachers and administrators to both facilitate a child’s “gender transition” and lie to that child’s parents about it, according to district-wide guidance.

The school district also appears to promote a parental reeducation plan for those who are “nonsupportive.”

Montgomery County employees are required to refer to a student by their preferred name and pronouns — the ones the student believes correspond to their chosen gender identity as opposed to the name their parents gave them and the pronouns that correspond to their actual biological sex.

Despite that, the guidance makes clear that the references to what the student prefers should not be made when contacting parents in an effort to hide the child’s gender ideation and the school’s facilitation of it.
