Vanderbilt Professor Docks Student For Not Agreeing That The Constitution Is White Supremacist

A student at Vanderbilt University was docked points on a quiz Tuesday for rejecting the statement that “the Constitution [was] designed to perpetuate white supremacy and protect the institution of slavery,” according to screenshots of the quiz result.

According to Kara Zupkus of the Young America’s Foundation (YAF), the required quiz was part of a class on the 2020 U.S. elections taught by university professors Josh Clinton, Eunji Kim, Dean John Geer, and Jon Meacham, the same Jon Meacham who spoke on behalf of former Vice President Joe Biden at Democrats’ virtual convention just two weeks ago.

Esper Makes China Unspoken Threat to International Order in V-J Day Ceremony

From the deck of the USS Missouri in Pearl Harbor Wednesday, Defense Secretary Mark Esper made oblique references to China as the new threat to international order exactly 75 years after World War II in the Pacific ended with the Japanese signing of unconditional surrender aboard the battleship.

“We built relationships with like-minded nations based on reciprocal trade, not predatory economics, based on respect for the sovereignty of all countries, not a strategy of ‘might makes right,’” Esper said at the V-J Day ceremony honoring World War II veterans.

While refraining from mentioning China by name, Esper repeated language reserved for China on the last day of a Pacific swing that aimed to strengthen and build American alliances to contain Chinese aggression.

“Today, in the face of new challenges to this free and open order, we are working to build an even broader coalition of partners,” Esper said of the United States’s vital Pacific alliances with Japan, South Korea, and Australia.

The defense secretary also noted India, which has had recent border scuffles with China and took part in a joint naval exercise with the U.S. in July. Esper also referenced the Pacific island nations, which would provide vital access to the region for American troops in the event of a conflict with China. Black Pastors Demand Nike Drop the ‘Anti-Christian’ Marxist Black Lives Matter Movement

On Thursday, a coalition of a few hundred black pastors, bishops, and other clergy sent a letter to Nike President and CEO John Donahoe. They demanded his company drop its support for the “anti-Christian” Marxist Black Lives Matter movement and condemn the Chinese government for its oppression of the Uyghur minority. Bishop Aubrey Shines spoke at a press conference announcing his group, the Conservative Clergy of Color.

“Nike is on record supporting the Black Lives Matter movement,” Shines said at the press conference. “A multi-billion dollar company is funneling funds into an organization whose only objective is to destroy America as we know it… while they turn a blind eye to China.”

Shines said that “several hundred black and brown pastors and bishops throughout this nation” have joined together in the group Conservative Clergy of Color. He began the press conference by reading from the group’s letter to Donahoe.

“We the leaders of Conservative Clergy of Color have watched with sadness and frustration as the country we love has been torn apart by violence and looting,” the letter begins. “This civil terror, perpetrated and lead by the Black Lives Matter movement, has turned American against American and possibly set race relations back decades.”

“Black Lives Matter, a movement run by anti-Christian, self-proclaimed Marxists, hijacked legitimate calls for police reform and turned it to their own ends,” the letter explains. “This is not a group interested in constructive change; through their vicious campaign to defund police and silence anyone who disagrees with them, they have destroyed livelihoods and gotten innocent children killed. D.C. Mayor Considers Removing Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial

After the protests and riots following the death of George Floyd in police custody, Mayor Muriel Bowser (D-Washington, D.C.) brought together a commission to consider striking various alleged symbols of oppression from the nation’s capital city. The commission issued its recommendations on Tuesday and if Washington, D.C. acts upon them, Americans may see national landmarks like the Washington Monument and the Jefferson Memorial removed completely.

“We believe strongly that all District of Columbia owned public spaces, facilities and commemorative works should only honor those individuals who exemplified those values such as equity, opportunity, and diversity that DC residents hold dear,” the committee’s chairs, Bowser advisor Beverly Perry and public library director Richard Reyes-Gavilan, wrote in a letter introducing the report.

The commission analyzed historical figures commemorated in public monuments according to eight “DC values”: accessibility, diversity, equity, livability, opportunity, prosperity, resilience, and safety. They examined whether such figures participated in slavery, supported “systemic racism,” supported the “oppression of persons of color and/or women,” was a member of “any supremacist organization,” or violated the D.C. Human Rights Act, which prohibits discrimination based on “age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, and national origin.”

If commission members so desired, they could have suggested removing monuments to almost every political figure in American life until about 30 seconds ago. After all, many Democrats now condemn the Hyde Amendment (which prohibits federal tax dollars from funding abortion) as racist, so according to the ever-more-stringent standards of wokeness, a certain Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. may find himself #canceled. After all, a certain Barack Hussein Obama opposed “marriage equality” when he won the presidential election in 2008. Perhaps D.C. should prevent any monuments to America’s first black president because he violated the D.C. Human Rights Act. (Read more from “D.C. Trump Orders Review to Defund NYC, Other ‘Anarchist’ Cities

President Trump is ordering the federal government to begin the process of defunding New York City and three other cities where officials allowed “lawless” protests and cut police budgets amid rising violent crime, The Post can exclusively reveal.

Trump on Wednesday signed a five-page memo ordering all federal agencies to send reports to the White House Office of Management and Budget that detail funds that can be redirected.

New York City, Washington, DC, Seattle and Portland are initial targets as Trump makes “law and order” a centerpiece of his re-election campaign after months of unrest and violence following the May killing of George Floyd by Minnesota police.

“My Administration will not allow Federal tax dollars to fund cities that allow themselves to deteriorate into lawless zones,” Trump says in the memo, which twice mentions New York Mayor Bill de Blasio by name.

President Trump: CNN’s Chris Cuomo, MSNBC’s Joy Reid Should Be Fired for Sexist, Islamophobic Comments

President Trump has called on CNN to fire anchor Chris Cuomo after leaked audio revealed a discussion he had with Michael Cohen regarding sexual misconduct allegations.

In a tweet Wednesday the president referred to Cuomo as “Fredo,” the fictional character in “The Godfather” films depicted as a weaker, younger brother.

The president went on to mention leaked audio of Cuomo discussing apparent sexual misconduct claims against him during his time at ABC with the president’s ex-lawyer Michael Cohen. In the conversation, the CNN anchor discussed how far the #MeToo movement has gone.

Responding to the audio, the president said, “it’s always terrible to speak to sleazebags, especially when you are the being recorded.” He also noted Cuomo’s “ratings are bad” and said it’s time for him to go.

Republicans Want Criminal Probe of Pelosi for Ripping up Trump Speech

Two House GOP leaders have officially called on Attorney General William Barr to determine whether House Speaker Nancy Pelosi broke federal law when she ripped up President Trump’s State of the Union speech earlier this year.

Pelosi famously tore the speech at the conclusion of Trump’s February address in the House chamber “because it was the courteous thing to do considering the alternatives,” Pelosi said at the time. “I tore it up. I was trying to find one page with truth on it. I couldn’t.”

Republican Policy Committee Chairman Gary Palmer, R-Ala., and Republican Study Committee Chairman Mike Johnson, R-La., wrote a letter to Barr on Tuesday asking he deliver a definitive answer on whether “Pelosi committed a criminal act by destroying an official copy of the State of the Union speech delivered to her” by Trump.

The calls come as Pelosi is being slammed for getting her hair done at a California hair salon that has been closed due to coronavirus restrictions.

“Nancy Pelosi’s famous tantrum on the House floor was more than disgraceful; she violated her responsibility to preserve official documents delivered to the House of Representatives,” Palmer said in a statement. “We ask the Attorney General to review this scandalous outburst, not simply because it offended every American, but because it set a precedent for radical politicians to hijack state events for partisan performance art and possibly break the law with, thus far, no consequence.” (Read more from “Republicans Want Criminal Probe of Pelosi for Ripping up Trump Speech” HERE)

WATCH: Biden Draws Gasps With Unfortunate Choice of Words in Kenosha

Former Vice President Joe Biden used an unfortunate choice of words Thursday while visiting Kenosha, Wis. in the aftermath of the police shooting of Jacob Blake.

Biden’s speech aimed at addressing racial unrest veered into talking about inequities in taxes at one point. He stopped himself from laying out his tax policy in detail, saying if he goes on any longer “they’ll shoot me.”

The Democratic nominee, who has been prone to gaffes, billed his first trip to Wisconsin during the 2020 campaign as a moment for healing in the wake of racial unrest and violence.

He met with community leaders at Kenosha’s Grace Lutheran Church and listened to their concerns on topics like economic inequality, restoring faith in policing, criminal justice reform and improving education.

Salongate Took Another Turn: Pelosi’s Stylist Just Chimed In; Pelosi Claims She Was ‘Set up’ for Violating COVID Orders

By The Federalist. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi demanded an apology from her “neighborhood salon” on Wednesday after claiming she was “set up” during a visit to get her hair done despite COVID-19 lockdown mandates ordering salons closed.

“I take responsibility for trusting the word of the neighborhood salon that I’ve been to…many times…It was a setup, and I take responsibility for falling for a setup,” Pelosi said.

“I think that this salon owes me an apology, for setting me up,” she added.

A video released on Tuesday by Fox News shows Pelosi wandering back to her salon chair with wet hair without a mask. Despite San Francisco regulations that ban salons from reopening until Sept. 1, and even then only for outdoor appointments, Pelosi booked an indoor appointment.

Salongate Took Another Turn: Pelosi’s Stylist Just Chimed In

By Townhall. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) hit the ultimate hypocrisy level when she walked into a salon on Monday to get a wash and blowout. She wasn’t wearing a mask and salons in San Francisco have been closed due to the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic. Instead of admitting that she’s a hypocrite and believes the rules are for everyone else but her, she claimed the whole thing was a “setup.”

The salon’s owner, Erica Kious, was upset with the speaker.

“It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work,” Kious told Fox News.

Now, the stylist who did Pelosi’s hair – and rents a chair in Kious’ salon – is speaking out about the situation through his lawyer. The stylist, Jonathan DeNardo, claimed to have received prior permission from Kious before Pelosi’s appointment.

“Mr. DeNardo received advance approval from Ms. Kious the day prior to the appointment during a telephone discussion on August 29, 2020 at 9:26 pm, wherein Mr. DeNardo advised Ms. Kious that he would not proceed with Speaker Pelosi’s appointment without Ms. Kious’ authorization,” a letter from DeNardo’s attorney, Matthew Soleimanpour stated. “Kenosha Kid” Kyle Rittenhouse’s lawyer joined Tucker Carlson on Fox News this week to explain his self-defense argument in the deadly protest shooting last week. Rittenhouse is charged as an adult with two counts of first-degree homicide, said his attorney John Pierce. He also shot a third person who was assaulting him with a handgun.

“The firearm never crossed state lines,” Pierce said, in reference to one of the main issues in the case. “That is a legal firearm in the state of Wisconsin. Wisconsin is an open carry state. That charge is incorrect as a matter of state law.”

“He was in imminent danger of serious bodily harm or death. This is 100% self-defense, Tucker — Kyle is a good kid.”

“They began screaming that Kyle needed to be killed and they were going to kill him.
