Artemis II Astronauts Report Burning Smell from Malfunctioning $23M Toilet

Astronauts on board Artemis II reported a mysterious burning smell coming from the $23 million advanced toilet system which previously malfunctioned after takeoff.

“Regarding the smell, I just wanted to make sure you all were tracking the EGS notes of the kind of burning heater smell that was coming from toilet several times,” astronaut Chrisna Koch, who fixed the toilet on Thursday, radioed to mission control on Saturday, Space.com reported.

“It was never identified as the source, what it exactly was, but it was identified as an unknown smell,” Koch said.

The four moon-bound passengers reported the smell was similar to the scent of an old electric heater that hasn’t been used in a while, the report stated. (Read more from “Artemis II Astronauts Report Burning Smell from Malfunctioning $23M Toilet” HERE)

‘Time Is Running Out’: Trump Warns Iran To Open Strait Of Hormuz Within 48 Hours

President Donald Trump gave Iran a final warning on Saturday to open the Strait of Hormuz or else “all Hell will reign down on them.”

“Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT. Time is running out – 48 hours before all Hell will reign down on them,” Trump said in a post to Truth Social.

This warning comes just days after the national average for a gallon of gas peaked over $4 per gallon — the highest since 2022 during the Covid-19 pandemic. Crude oil has also jumped to over $100 per barrel compared to around $70 prior to the beginning of the war.

Movement through the Strait is down more than 90% compared to March, according to the Economic Times. Although it is not fully closed, ship movement through this critical chokepoint has become heavily monitored and restricted. Conflict In Iran Forces Airline To Hike Checked Baggage Fees

Travelers flying United Airlines will pay more to check their luggage starting Friday as surging fuel costs from the war in Iran ripple through the airline industry.

The carrier announced a $10 increase on first and second checked bags for tickets purchased on or after April 3, affecting routes within the U.S., Mexico, Canada and Latin America, according to CNBC. A first bag now runs $45 if paid in advance and $50 within 24 hours of departure. Second bags climb to $55 prepaid or $60 at the last minute. Third bags jumped $50, bringing the total to $200.

United is the second domestic carrier to raise baggage prices in under a week. JetBlue bumped its fees by as much as $9 on March 30, telling the Associated Press that charging more for optional add-ons helps keep base ticket prices competitive.

The fee increases come as jet fuel prices have nearly doubled since Operation Epic Fury began on Feb. 28. The average gallon of jet fuel across four major U.S. hubs reached $4.88 on Thursday, up from $2.50 before the conflict, according to data from energy intelligence firm Argus Media cited by CNBC. United does not hedge its fuel costs, leaving it fully exposed to volatile spot prices, according to AeroTime.

By Breitbart. A U.S. F-15E Strike Eagle jet has been shot down, and both American and Iranian forces are scrambling to find the crew first, unconfirmed reports claim. . .

One crew member from that downed F-15 has been recovered by U.S. forces, broadcaster CBS News claimed it was told by “U.S. Officials”.

The search and rescue mission to recover the second crew member is ongoing. The BBC says White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told them “The President had been briefed”.

Other than that it’s still very unclear what happened and how: Leavitt’s reported remark is the first time a named U.S. official has acknowledged anything has happened at all. . .

While Iran asserts daily to have shot down U.S. fighters and sunk American warships, claims made by Iranian state media on Friday morning may contain some truth, unnamed “sources” within the U.S. government are reported to have said. C.I.A. Covered Up Cancer Cures — Document Claims Agency Hid Hope for Victims

A recently surfaced CIA document claims the intelligence agency reviewed Cold War-era research that hinted at potential treatments for cancer 75 years ago – and kept the remarkable report classified for decades, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

Now, the outraged public is speaking out and alleging a cruel government cover-up.

The document, which was produced in 1951, discusses an article published in the Soviet scientific journal Priroda by Professor V.V. Alpatov that examines similarities between parasitic worms and malignant tumors.

The Soviet scientist and his colleagues reportedly believed cancerous growths and parasites accumulate large reserves of the stored energy glycogen and flourish under nearly identical metabolic conditions.

Their research cites experiments that show certain chemical compounds could actually target both ailments, including the drug Myracyl D. Other substances, such as Guanozolo – a guanine-like molecule – appeared to interfere with the production of nucleic acid, the chemical building blocks of DNA and RNA, which is essential for the uncontrolled growth of cancer cells. Common Drinking Habit May Quietly Triple Risk of Advanced Liver Condition

Even occasional binge drinking could triple the risk of a serious liver condition, a new study suggests.

Just one episode per month was associated with a threefold increase in advanced liver fibrosis in people with underlying metabolic liver disease, according to research from the University of Southern California (USC).

Advanced liver fibrosis is a condition that occurs in the advanced stage of chronic liver disease, marked by a buildup of significant scar tissue due to chronic, long-term inflammation, according to the American Liver Foundation.

Consuming large amounts of alcohol in a short period of time is known to cause liver damage and inflammation, according to medical experts.

“Patients often ask how much they can drink,” lead investigator Brian P. Lee, MD, hepatologist and liver transplant specialist with Keck Medicine of USC, told Fox News Digital. “In the liver world, we’re used to thinking about this as an average — for example, we categorize patients based on alcohol consumption per week.” (Read more from “Common Drinking Habit May Quietly Triple Risk of Advanced Liver Condition” HERE)

Why President Trump Fired Pam Bondi

Rumors have swirled for months about President Donald Trump firing Attorney General (AG) Pam Bondi — and the president finally pulled the trigger Thursday.

Trump told Bondi Wednesday, before his big speech on Iran, that her time as AG was coming to an end. One White House official told the Daily Caller that there is no “bad blood” between the president and the AG, but that he was overall dissatisfied with her job performance.

The official added that the president had been mulling whether to fire Bondi or not for months as her mistakes added up.

Deputy AG Todd Blanche will take over in the interim, the president announced in a Truth Social post. While Blanche oversees the department, the White House official told the Caller the president is taking time to consider potential replacements, adding that there is no “urgency” to pick someone new.

A source familiar with the firing pushed back on the idea that Bondi wasn’t performing or prosecuting people quick enough. (Read more from “Why President Trump Fired Pam Bondi” HERE)

GOP Congressman Makes Hair-Raising Admission About Alien Life: ‘This Country Would Have Come Unglued’

The United States would become “unglued” if everyday Americans learned what the government has discovered about aliens — and they deserve to know, according to a congressman shocked by what he’s been briefed on extraterrestrial life.

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.), a member of the House Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, said he’s long advocated for “full disclosure” despite the impact the truth could have on the public.

“The public has a right to know, dadgummit, it’s your tax dollars. Let’s get it out there,” Burchett told Newsmax.

“If they were to release the things that I’ve seen, you’d be up at night, worrying about, thinking about this stuff,” he ominously warned, adding he’s sat down with “just about every alphabet agency this is.”

Just two weeks ago, he recalled, he was briefed “on an issue” involving extraterrestrial life “that would have set the Earth on fire.”

“This country would have come unglued, I think, if they would have heard all that I heard. They would demand answers and they … need to. But, you know …unfortunately it just keeps getting covered up and covered up,” he said. The Four Words Trump said to Pam Bondi the Day Before He Fired Her as Attorney General

President Trump told Attorney General Pam Bondi her time in his administration was up while the two rode from the White House to the Supreme Court on Wednesday, according to a report.

“I think it’s time,” Trump said as he and Bondi made the short ride across town to take in the oral arguments of a highly contested birthright citizenship case, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Bondi, who was sworn in as the United States Attorney General last February, allegedly asked the 79-year-old commander in chief if she could remain at her post until the summer.

Trump denied the request, according to the outlet.

The two had discussed Bondi’s tenure in the administration since the beginning of the year, as Trump seemingly expressed dissatisfaction with the speed she was moving on his agenda, the report stated.

Not one singular issue was the reasoning for Bondi’s termination, but “a steady drip of frustrations,” including the handling of the Epstein files, lack of positive news coverage directed at the DOJ, sources told the outlet. Hegseth’s ‘Paranoia’ of Being Replaced Explains Purge of Top General — as Ally Emerges for Army Secretary’s Role

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s “paranoia” about Army Secretary Dan Driscoll taking his job fueled the firing of the Army’s top general, current and former administration officials tell The Post — as a top contender emerges to replace Driscoll if he’s canned next.

Hegseth on Thursday demanded the resignation of Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George’s — Driscoll’s top aide — in the middle of the Iran war for reasons that were not publicly stated, following months of mounting tensions with Driscoll.

“This is all driven by the insecurity and paranoia that Pete has developed since Signalgate. Unfortunately, it is stoked by some of his closest aides who should be trying to calm the waters,” an official said, referring to Hegseth’s March 2025 group chat with national security officials that inadvertently included a reporter.

Two other Army generals — Gen. David Hodne of the Army’s Transformation and Training Command and Maj. Gen. William Green of the Army’s Chaplain Corps — were dismissed in the purge, with the department only saying “it was time for a leadership change.”

“[Hegseth] has got a big conflict with Driscoll. And he’s been told by the White House he can’t fire Driscoll, at least for the moment,” a source close to the Trump administration said.
