Yikes! Here’s How Many Pilots Lied About Having Medical Problems Which Would Bar Them From Flying

Nearly 5,000 pilots are suspected to have lied about having mental health conditions and other health disorders which would prevent them from flying.

The Washington Post broke the news that nearly 600 of those pilots being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) fly planes for passenger flights and over 4,800 are veterans receiving disability benefits. The Post reported:

The pilots under scrutiny are military veterans who told the Federal Aviation Administration that they are healthy enough to fly, yet failed to report — as required by law — that they were also collecting veterans benefits for disabilities that could bar them from the cockpit.

Veterans Affairs investigators discovered the inconsistencies more than two years ago by cross-checking federal databases, but the FAA has kept many details of the case a secret from the public.

FAA spokesman Matthew Lehner acknowledged in a statement that the agency has been investigating approximately 4,800 pilots “who might have submitted incorrect or false information as part of their medical applications.” The FAA has now closed about half of those cases, he said, and has ordered about 60 pilots — who Lehner said “posed a clear danger to aviation safety” — to cease flying on an emergency basis while their records are reviewed.

Judge Rules Muslim, Christian Parents Can’t Opt Out of Lessons on Gender Identity, Sexuality (VIDEO)

A Maryland district court ruled Thursday that Christian and Muslim parents cannot opt their children out of lessons on gender identity and sexual orientation.

A coalition of religious parents sued the Montgomery County Public School Board in March after being notified that students could no longer opt out of lessons discussing gender identity and sexual orientation, arguing that such instruction violates their religious rights. Judge Deborah Boardman denied a preliminary injunction that would have reinstated an opt-out policy ahead of the 2023-2024 school year that begins on Monday.

“The Court concludes the plaintiffs’ asserted due process right to direct their children’s upbringing by opting out of a public-school curriculum that conflicts with their religious views is not a fundamental right. Rational basis review is the appropriate level of scrutiny,” Boardman wrote in her opinion.

Montgomery County Public Schools released a list of LGBTQ-inclusive books in November 2022 that would be implemented in elementary school lessons throughout the year, according to a school presentation. In pre-kindergarten, students will be read “Pride Puppy,” a story of a family celebrating Pride Day that discusses the words “intersex” and “drag queen,” and in fifth-grade students will read “Born Ready,” a book that promotes the idea that “a child-knows-best” when discussing “gender transitioning.”

“Montgomery County Public Schools remains committed to cultivating an inclusive and welcoming learning environment and creating opportunities where all students see themselves and their families in curriculum materials,” the district said in a press release following the decision. “We also will continue to adhere to our responsibility to include instructional materials that reflect the diversity of the local and global community by exploring the aspirations, issues, and achievements of women and men, people with disabilities, people from diverse racial, ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds, as well as those of diverse gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation.”

Ramaswamy Stands by Calling Ayanna Pressley a Modern KKK Grand Wizard

2024 presidential Candidate Vivek Ramaswamy stood by calling Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) “a modern grand wizard of the KKK.”

Ramaswamy was pressed about a comment he made about Pressley Friday during a campaign stop with voters in Iowa during an appearance Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union with host Dana Bash.

Bash challenged Ramaswamy on calling Pressley “a modern grand wizard of the KKK,” after asking what his reaction was to the Jacksonville shooting that occurred on Saturday, then pressing him on how he believed his comments denying having experienced white supremacy would be seen by the victim’s families.

“You know, I’m sure, the KKK was responsible for more than a century worth of horrific lynchings, rapes, murders of black people. How in any way are the views you’re talking about comparable to the views and atrocities committed by the KKK?” Bash asked.

“I think it is the same spirit to say that I can look at you and, based on just your skin color, that I know something about the content of your character, that I know something about the content of the viewpoints that you’re allowed to express,” Ramaswamy responded. “For Ayanna Pressley to tell me that because of my skin color, I can’t express my views, that is wrong, that is divisive. Ultra-Secretive Club That Hosts Some of The US’ Most Powerful Men Underpays, Overworks Employees in ‘Frat House’ Environment: Lawsuit

Workers at Bohemian Grove, one of the oldest and most secretive men’s retreats in the country, complain that they are underpaid and overworked, especially during two weeks in July when some of the most powerful men in the country descend on its woodland camps in northern California, according to a recent lawsuit.

The campers, who have included Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, former secretary of state Henry Kissinger, and a host of past presidents and billionaires, descend on the camps, which spread over 2,700 acres in Monte Rio, California. Most of the activities focus on drinking and eating, said one of the workers, who are known as “valets” at the camps.

“These guys, they don’t want that college experience to go away,” said Anthony Gregg in an interview with AirMail published Saturday.

“Now they [just] have more money and better alcohol.”

Gregg is one of three named plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit filed in June in U.S. District Court in Northern California against the Bohemian Club, the San Francisco-based non-profit that runs the more than 100 exclusive camps. Why Trump’s Mugshot Is a Big Win for Trump

Donald Trump’s mugshot will be the most trafficked photo in the history of planet Earth because social media is so ubiquitous.

Yesterday, he went to the Fulton County jailhouse where he was arrested and fingerprinted. They took his picture. The mugshot is now out.

It’s a win for Trump to have his mugshot taken. The Left thought it would be a win for them, but here’s the thing about Trump: Trump is a walking, living, breathing meme. He is made for TV. He is made for the Internet. He’s changed our age because of that.

It’s not as though no one knew he was arrested. It’s not as though it was a shock dawning on the American people that Donald Trump is under indictment in four separate jurisdictions. We’ve known about all of this for months.

Disturbing Study Shows Massive Spike in Teens Getting Sex Change Surgeries

Teens between the ages of 12 and 18 increasingly sought breast and chest sex change surgeries from 2016-2019, according to a study published Wednesday by the JAMA Network, a medical journal.

The study, “National Estimates of Gender-Affirming Surgery in the U.S.,” reviewed data from patients between the ages of 12 and 40 years old and found that from 2016 to 2019 sex change surgeries nearly tripled from 4,552 to 13,011, before declining slightly during the pandemic in 2020. By 2019, the number of weighted breast or chest procedures climbed to 1,000, totaling 3,215 patients over the whole four-year research period in the study.

The overall total of transgender surgeries during the four years, including genital restructuring, facial, breast and chest surgeries, was 48,019, with the largest group being between the ages of 19 and 30 years old at 25,099 patients, according to the data. Teens made up 3,678 of the overall patients with 405 patients undergoing genital surgery.

Breast and chest surgeries were the most popular at 56.6%, with genital reconstruction coming in second at 35.1%, according to the data. Breast reconstruction was the most common specific procedures at 44.2%, while hysterectomies were the most common genital reconstructive procedure at 9.3%. Biden Targeted Twitter Because of Elon Musk’s Support for Free Speech

The Federal Trade Commission inappropriately pressured an independent third-party auditing firm to find Twitter had violated the terms of its settlement agreement with the FTC, a motion filed last week in federal court reveals. That misconduct and the FTC’s own repudiation of the terms of the settlement agreement entitle Twitter to vacate the consent order, its lawyers maintain.

This latest development holds significance beyond Twitter’s fight with the FTC, however, with the details providing further evidence that the Biden administration targeted Twitter because of its owner Elon Musk’s support for free speech on his platform.

I “felt as if the FTC was trying to influence the outcome of the engagement before it had started,” a CPA with nearly 30 years of experience with the Big Four accounting firm Ernst & Young (EY) testified last month. The FTC’s pressure campaign left EY partner David Roque so unsettled that he sought guidance from another partner concerning controlling ethical standards for CPAs to assess whether his independence had been compromised by the federal agency.

Roque’s testimony prompted attorneys for Twitter to seek documents from the FTC to assess whether the federal agency had repeated its pressure campaign with EY’s successors, but the agency refused to provide any details to the social media giant. Carlos Santana Backs Down After Declaring: ‘A Woman Is a Woman, a Man Is a Man’

Rock legend Carlos Santana issued an apology this week after a clip of him went viral from a concert where he said, “A woman is a woman and a man is a man. That’s it.”

“I am sorry for my insensitive comments,” the 76-year-old guitarist said in a post on social media. “They don’t reflect that I want to honor and respect all person’s ideals and beliefs. I realize that what I said hurt people and that was not my intent. I sincerely apologize to the transgender community and everyone I offended.”

“I want to honor and respect all person’s ideals and beliefs whether they are LGBTQ or not. This is the planet of free will and we have all been given this gift,” he continued. “It takes courage to grow and glow in the light that you are and to be true, genuine, and authentic. Buying Friends: Mayorkas Gave $1 Billion in Extra Vacation to DHS Employees

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has granted his employees more than $1 billion worth of additional taxpayer-funded vacation time, according to department staffers, who say Mr. Mayorkas is using taxpayers’ money in an ill-fated attempt to win affection from an alienated workforce.

Mr. Mayorkas, who has been on the job for roughly 2½ years, has approved 115 hours of additional leave per employee. That includes 45 hours, or more than a full extra week off, in his first year, followed by 48 hours in 2022 and 24 hours so far this year.

Figuring 260,000 department employees and an average hourly pay of about $40 per employee, that means Mr. Mayorkas has doled out at least $1.2 billion in additional taxpayer-funded vacation time. Law enforcement and high cost-of-living locality pay could mean the actual figure is significantly higher.

“The numbers are astounding,” said Emilio Gonzalez, who ran one of the department’s agencies in the Bush years. “You’re hovering at just over a billion dollars right now, on the low end. Biden’s DOJ Announces Lawsuit Against Elon Musk’s SpaceX

The Department of Justice announced Thursday afternoon federal prosecutors have filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk’s SpaceX, alleging discrimination in hiring practices.

“The Justice Department filed a lawsuit today against Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) for discriminating against asylees and refugees in hiring. The lawsuit alleges that, from at least September 2018 to May 2022, SpaceX routinely discouraged asylees and refugees from applying and refused to hire or consider them, because of their citizenship status, in violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA),” DOJ released Thursday. “SpaceX discouraged asylees and refugees from applying for open positions, through public announcements, job applications and other online recruiting communications that excluded asylees and refugees. SpaceX failed to fairly consider applications submitted by asylees and refugees. SpaceX refused to hire qualified asylee and refugee applicants and repeatedly rejected asylee and refugee applicants because of their citizenship status. SpaceX hired only U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents, from September 2018 to September 2020.” . . .

“The United States seeks fair consideration and back pay for asylees and refugees who were deterred or denied employment at SpaceX due to the alleged discrimination. The United States also seeks civil penalties in an amount to be determined by the court and policy changes to ensure it complies with the INA’s nondiscrimination mandate going forward,” DOJ continues.
