VIDEO: Trump and J6 Prison Choir Hit No. 1 on iTunes, Boot Miley Cyrus

. . .Donald Trump knocked pop star Miley Cyrus off the top of the iTunes chart over the weekend.

The former president’s duet with the J6 Prison Choir called “Justice for All” features Trump reciting the Pledge of Allegiance while his group of background singers — made up of people jailed for their involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot — sing the “Star-Spangled Banner.”

The collaboration was No. 1 on iTunes’ Top 100 list Saturday, booting Cyrus’s “Flowers” from the coveted spot.

The 2-minute and 20-second ditty remained No. 1 on Sunday.

Trump, 76, who announced in November he is running for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, touted “Justice for All” on his Truth Social platform Saturday after it climbed into the top spot. (Read more from “Trump and J6 Prison Choir Hit No. 1 on iTunes, Boot Miley Cyrus” HERE)

McConnell Staffer Reveals Injury the Lawmaker Suffered Last Week

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky has been released from the hospital and will do physical therapy at an in-patient facility, the lawmaker’s communications director David Popp said in a statement on Monday.

Popp noted last week that McConnell had been hospitalized and was being treated for a concussion after tripping — but in the new statement on Monday, Popp noted that the Republican lawmaker had also suffered a rib fracture.

“Leader McConnell’s concussion recovery is proceeding well and the Leader was discharged from the hospital today. At the advice of his physician, the next step will be a period of physical therapy at an inpatient rehabilitation facility before he returns home,” Popp noted in the Monday statement. “Over the course of treatment this weekend, the Leader’s medical team discovered that he also suffered a minor rib fracture on Wednesday, for which he is also being treated.”

“The Leader and Secretary Chao are deeply thankful for the skilled medical care, prayers, and kindness they have received,” Popp added. (Read more from “McConnell Staffer Reveals Injury the Lawmaker Suffered Last Week” HERE)

Suspicions Arise That Wuhan Labs Double-Billed U.S. Government for Research

Suspicions have arisen that the U.S. government may have paid tens of millions of dollars in superfluous payments to labs in Wuhan, China.

The payments were ostensibly made through the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), CBS News reports.

“What I’ve found so far is evidence that points to double billing, potential theft of government funds. It is concerning, especially since it involves dangerous pathogens and risky research,” former federal investigator Diane Cutler, who examined 50,000 documents including U.S. government grants for high risk research in China.

Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS), who hired Cutler to investigate, wants to crerate a 9/11 type commission to ascertain what actually happened. “I think there’s 1.1 million reasons that American taxpayers should care,” he said. “You’ll have a plane [crash]. We want to find out why the plane crashes. We go to any lengths to do that. And the hope is we don’t have another plane crash for the same reason.” (Read more from “Suspicions Arise That Wuhan Labs Double-Billed U.S. Government for Research” HERE)

Trump Has ‘No Plans’ to Testify in Grand Jury Investigation as Likelihood of Being Indicted Increases: Report

Former President Donald Trump has “no plans” to testify in the grand jury investigation into his involvement in the $130,000 hush payment made to former pornstar Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential election, according to his lawyer.

“We have no plans on participating in that proceeding,” Trump attorney Joe Tacopina told ABC News on Monday. “Decision needs to be made still. There’s been no deadline set, so we’ll wait and see.”

The criminal investigation into Trump’s payment to Daniels, who says that she had an affair with the former president, has lasted five years. The case involves a payment that former Trump attorney Michael Cohen, who pled guilty to felony charges related to the payment, made to Daniels during the presidential race.

The New York Times reported that Cohen is set to testify this week, describing the move as a “sign that prosecutors are poised to indict the former president for his role in paying hush money.” (Read more from “Trump Has ‘No Plans’ to Testify in Grand Jury Investigation as Likelihood of Being Indicted Increases: Report” HERE)

Trump Explains Why He Gave DeSantis Nickname ‘Ron Desanctimonious,’ Says He Regrets Endorsing Him for Governor

Former President Donald Trump explained why he gave Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis the name “Ron DeSanctimonious,” and said he regrets endorsing him for governor. . .

“Well, I guess it’s referring to the fact that when you do something for somebody and they don’t reciprocate, I never liked that. And he was out of politics. He would have had to go to work for some law office or something. And he came to me, he asked for an endorsement. I said, ‘you are so dead right now. No endorsements gonna save you. George Washington won’t save.’ He said ‘I’m telling you if you endorse me, I have a chance’ and he was one of many, many congressmen that voted for me on the impeachment hoax. And I figured why not? So I gave him an endorsement because I didn’t know the other gentleman who was Adam Putnam, was the Agricultural Commissioner, which in Florida is a big deal,” Trump told reporters.

“When I endorsed him, the race was indeed over, but it was over for him. And then I got him passed the crackhead. You know, you had a guy running who was actually the star of the party. Him and Stacey Abrams, male and female versions. And Ron didn’t think he could win. I had two rallies, maybe three. And we had tremendous crowds at the rallies. I said, ‘I think you’re gonna win.’ And he ended up winning. And then a couple of years later, what do you guys do, ask him a question, ‘are you running for president?’ And he said, ‘I have no comment.’ I said that’s not supposed to happen. Because he was dead as a dog. He was a dead politician. He would have been working perhaps for a law firm or doing something else,” he continued. . .

“And the moment I endorsed him, the whole thing changed immediately. It didn’t take two days it took just a short time. I’m a loyal person, so when I use the word Ron DeSanctimonious or Ron DeSanctus, it’s just a shorter version. I use them both. I can’t use the sanctimonious twice in the same paragraph. So I use them but they actually work quite nicely together. Some people like them, some people don’t, but I never did use the word meatball,” Trump added. Head of Risk Assessment at Silicon Valley Bank Invested in LGBTQ Programs in Months Leading Up to Shutdown

The head of financial risk management at Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) UK spent the months leading up to the shocking bank collapse launching and leading LGBTQ campaigns for the company.

Jay Ersapah, the head of financial risk management, organized a month-long pride campaign, a space for employees to share their coming out stories, and co-chaired the European LGBTQ Employee Resource Group, as the bank was at the brink of collapse.

Just four months before the bank was shutdown, Ersapah, who labels herself as “a queer person of color and a first generation immigrant from a working class background,” was included on SVB’s “Outstanding LGBT+ Role Models List 2022.”

“The phrase ‘you can’t be what you can’t see’ resonates with me. As a queer person of color and a first generation immigrant from a working class background, there were not many role models for me to ‘see’ growing up. I feel privileged to co-chair the LGBTQ+ ERG and help spread awareness of lived queer experiences, partner with charitable organizations, and above all, create a sense of community for our LGBTQ+ employees and allies,” Esrapah wrote in SVB’s most recent Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative from August 2022.

“I’m encouraged by the greater attention given to issues of inequity in the innovation sector in recent years – but there is much more work to be done.” Greg Becker, President and CEO of SVB, also said in the release. Biden Admin: No Bailout for Collapsed Silicon Valley Bank; Silicon Valley Venture Capitalists Scream for a Bail Out in Reaction to Bank Collapse

No Bailout for Collapsed Silicon Valley Bank, Yellen Says

By Daily Wire. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said Sunday that there would be no bailout for the collapsed Silicon Valley Bank.

Appearing on CBS News’s “Face The Nation” with host Margaret Brennan, Yellen said the government would assist regulators in helping protect depositors but made clear that there would be no federal bailout for the major tech bank.

“Let me be clear that during the financial crisis, there were investors and owners of systemic large banks that were bailed out,” Yellen told Brennan when asked whether the U.S. had ruled out a bailout. “And the reforms that have been put in place means that we’re not going to do that again. But we are concerned about depositors and are focused on trying to meet their needs.”

Brennan noted that roughly 85% of the accounts were uninsured and asked Yellen whether she thought depositors should be paid back in full. (Read more from “No Bailout for Collapsed Silicon Valley Bank, Yellen Says” HERE)

Silicon Valley Venture Capitalists Scream for a Bail Out in Reaction to Bank Collapse

By Breitbart. Silicon Valley venture capitalists are screaming for a bail out in response to the recent sudden collapse of Silicon Valley Bank — the second-largest bank failure in history, behind the collapse of Washington Mutual at the height of the 2008 financial crisis.

“YOU SHOULD BE ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED RIGHT NOW — THAT IS THE PROPER REACTION TO A BANK RUN & CONTAGION @POTUS & @SecYellen MUST GET ON TV TOMORROW AND GUARANTEE ALL DEPOSITS UP TO $10M OR THIS WILL SPIRAL INTO CHAOS,” entrepreneur Jason Calacanis exclaimed.

Entrepreneur Joe Lonsdale insisted that he is “opposed to bail outs,” but nonetheless flirted with the idea of one for the Silicon Valley Bank, tweeting, “Am curious if the innovation world is the only part of our economy that doesn’t deserve a depositor bailout?”

“And can’t help but ask how many equivalent aid packages to Ukraine (0.5 of them?) it takes to resolve the crisis impacting thousands of promising US technology companies,” he added.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Says She Will Report Jane Fonda Over ‘Murder’ Comment on Abortion Rights (VIDEO)

US Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene slammed Jane Fonda after the actress supposedly joked on ABC’s “The View” that she’s “thought about murder” when fighting for abortion rights.

Speaking on “The View” on Friday, Fonda said the country would not “go back” on abortion despite the reversal of Roe v. Wade, and when asked what people can do aside from marching and protesting, she quipped: “I’ve thought about murder.”

The comment turned heads on the talk show, with the hosts playing it off as a joke as the crowd laughed when Fonda, 85, fired back with a serious look.

In a series of tweets over the weekend, Greene, a Georgia Republican, said she would be reporting Fonda for allegedly threatening her and other anti-abortion advocates.

“I routinely get death threats because of the nasty women on The View and the things they say about me,” Greene tweeted as she dubbed herself an “unapologetic pro-life politician.”

Spring Breakers Should Avoid Travel to Mexico, Texas Authorities Say

Texas officials strongly advise against taking a trip south of the border for spring break this year, urging Texans to avoid travel to Mexico for the popular travel period and beyond, according to a Friday press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The Texas authorities warned residents to steer clear of Mexico amid the recent violence in the country. The travel notice comes just after four Americans were recently kidnapped in Mexico, with two ending up dead.

“Drug cartel violence and other criminal activity represent a significant safety threat to anyone who crosses into Mexico right now,” Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steven McCraw said. “Based on the volatile nature of cartel activity and the violence we are seeing there; we are urging individuals to avoid travel to Mexico at this time.”

In addition to this warning, federal officials urged any American citizen who doesn’t heed their warning to register with the American embassy or consulate prior to traveling. While the travel advice comes at the beginning of the spring break season, the Texas DPS said the warning applies “beyond” the vacation period as well.

The United States Department of State travel advisory on Mexico says, “Violent crime – such as homicide, kidnapping, carjacking, and robbery – is widespread and common” in the country. The department has “Do Not Travel” warnings to six Mexican states – including Tamaulipas, where the four Americans were recently kidnapped. In addition, they warn Americans to “Reconsider Travel” to seven Mexican states and “Exercise Increased Caution” during travel in 17 states. The department says to “Exercise Normal Precautions” in just two states. (Read more from “Spring Breakers Should Avoid Travel to Mexico, Texas Authorities Say” HERE)
