Authorities Release Chilling Details in Case Against Idaho Murder Suspect

We now know more about the evidence investigators in Idaho collected following the murders of four University of Idaho students that led authorities to seek the arrest of Bryan Kohberger as a suspect, thanks to a just-unsealed probable cause affidavit that outlines the case authorities have built.

The 19-page document explains what the Moscow, Idaho, police found when they entered the residence of the students and found Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin murdered.

In addition to the victims, authorities found “a tan leather knife sheath” stamped with “Ka-Bar,” “USMC,” and the U.S. Marine Corps insignia. On that knife sheath, the Idaho State Crime Lab identified a single source of male DNA contained on the snap as a “suspect profile.” . . .

A roommate identified as “D.M.” in the affidavit told police that “she was awoken at approximately 4:00 a.m. by what she stated sounded like Goncalves playing with her dog in one of the upstairs bedrooms.” D.M. also said that “a short time later…she heard who she thought was Goncalves say something to the effect of ‘there’s someone here.'”

The affidavit continues, saying D.M. “looked out of her bedroom but did not see anything when she heard the comment about someone being in the House. D.M. stated she opened her door a second time when she heard what she thought was crying coming from Kernodle’s room. Biden Blames Republicans for Border Invasion

President Joe Biden blamed the Republican Party during a Thursday White House speech for the southern border invasion.

Biden’s statement that Republicans are to blame for the border crisis was followed by a claim that partisan divisiveness has prevented immigration solutions. Under Democrat rule, 2.2 million illegal migrants have overrun the border in fiscal year 2022, a 33 percent increase from 2021.

“I sent congress a comprehensive piece of legislation that would completely overhaul what has been a broken immigration system for a long time,” Biden said.

Biden alleged preventing illegal immigration is a priority but Republicans have opposed his plan.

“Cracking down on illegal immigration, strengthening legal immigration and protecting dreamers, those with temporary protective status, like farm workers, are part of the fabric of our nation,” Biden continued. “But congressional republicans have refused to consider my plan and they rejected my retest for an additional $3.5 billion to secure the border and funds for 2,000 new asylum personnel.” (Read more from “Biden Blames Republicans for Border Invasion” HERE)

Mass Shooting Reported at Restaurant Where Major Rapper Was Filming Music Video

Nearly a dozen people were shot at a restaurant in Miami Thursday night where rapper French Montana was shooting a music video at the time.

7 News Miami reported that Miami Gardens Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to the scene at The Licking soul food restaurant around 8 p.m. where there were reportedly a total of 10 victims. With New Alzheimer’s Drug, Biden FDA Is Not Following the Science

. . .That is why the recently released results of an investigation by two House of Representatives committees into the Food and Drug Administration’s approval of Aduhelm, a drug to treat Alzheimer’s disease, are perplexing. It found that despite significant uncertainty about whether the expensive drug worked to slow or reverse patients’ symptoms, the FDA’s process for approving it was “rife with irregularities.” It concluded that the agency’s actions “raise serious concerns about FDA’s lapses in protocol.”

The report illustrates that the FDA is having problems threading the needle between Type I and Type II errors. As a longtime veteran of the agency and the author of a favorably received book about it, I can bring some insight into the issue. Here’s the bottom line: The FDA is not following the science.

I spent 15 years as the FDA’s “biotechnology czar” at a time when many of the biopharmaceutical companies were small startups needing guidance as they negotiated the regulatory maze. However, the agency’s recent involvement with biotechnology company Biogen, the manufacturer of Aduhelm, went far beyond “guidance” and was highly unusual in many ways.

At the FDA’s urging, the drug was resurrected three months after the company had canceled clinical trials because the drug appeared not to work. Subsequent developments over the next year were marked by at least 115 meetings, calls, and email exchanges between the company and the FDA, according to the report from the Oversight and Reform and Energy and Commerce committees.

Regulators assumed a major role in rebooting the company’s narrative and the effort to get the drug approved, even though there were substantial reservations about the effectiveness of the drug among several factions within the FDA, especially its statisticians, and even within Biogen. Top Catholic Archbishop Urges Three-Day Fast for Jan. 6 Defendants

Catholic Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, who has served in several high-level Vatican roles, said he encourages a three-day fast to bring “heavenly protection” for defendants charged in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and for the nation as a whole “against the subversive attack of the deep state.”

Vigano, ex-Vatican secretary-general and former Holy See diplomat to the United States, called for a fast from Jan. 3 to 5, in a letter Saturday to Joseph McBride, an attorney for multiple Jan. 6 defendants.

“In your message you tell me about your initiative to announce three days of fasting to propitiate heavenly protection to the United States of America against the subversive attack of the deep state,” Vigano wrote to McBride. “I can only encourage and bless this commendable gesture of penance, to be accompanied by prayer – above all the Holy Rosary.” . . .

Rabbi Yehuda Levin, leader of Jews for Morality, commended the archbishop’s statement and called for Jews to fast as already required on the 10th of Tevet, which corresponded to Jan. 3. Trump Endorsement of McCarthy Did Not Get a ‘Single New Vote’

NBC’s Chuck Todd said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell’s Reports” that former President Donald Trump’s endorsement of Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) for speaker after Tuesday’s failed votes did not get a “single new vote” today. . .

Todd added, “Donald Trump, once again, was very helpful to Kevin McCarthy to the point of it got him not a single new vote. It is kind of a reminder because we have been chronicling how much power he has been losing inside the party. This is why Trump had been quiet for a while, for fear his voice doesn’t matter. I think we just found out, at least when it comes to getting Mccarthy over the finish line. After Demonstrating 57% Remission Rate, Israeli Immunotherapy Licensed by U.S. Firm

An Israeli immunotherapy has successfully “reprogrammed the immune systems” of cancer patients, with a US-based pharma company licensing it for commercialization, its inventors revealed on Wednesday.

The treatment involves removing healthy white blood cells — T-cells — from cancer patients and adding an artificial molecule before returning the cells to the body, said Prof. Cyrille Cohen of Bar Ilan University.

The molecule gives the T-cells powers to recognize and kill cells that cause multiple myeloma, a bone marrow cancer.

Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem tested the therapy with different dose levels and found that, when given at the highest strength, 57 percent of multiple myeloma patients went into remission. Some 90% of patients given the high dose saw an improvement in their condition. . .

The innovation arms of Bar Ilan and Hadassah Medical Center announced Wednesday that they have signed a deal with Los Angeles-based Immix BioPharma for the further development and commercialization of the therapy. Entire Airport Evacuated So Idaho Murder Suspect Could Relieve Himself: Report

An entire Illinois airport was evacuated Wednesday so accused quadruple killer Bryan Kohberger could relieve himself, according to a report.

Bound in shackles, the former criminology doctoral student was led from a private jet into a Flightstar in Champaign around 11 a.m. Wednesday, photos obtained by TMZ show.

At least three armed officers accompanied Kohberger, clad in a red jumpsuit, into the mini airline pit stop, which was reportedly completely evacuated so the suspected murderer could use the facilities.

Even employees were asked to leave the building during the lockdown, the outlet reported, which lasted until Kohberger re-boarded his private ride.

The 2015 fixed-wing single-engine Pilatus that is taking Kohberger to Idaho was being refueled while he was inside the empty building, eyewitnesses said. The jet is reportedly owned by the Pennsylvania State Police, whose officers are accompanying Kohberger the roughly 2,400 miles to Moscow, Idaho. Gen. Mark Milley Complained of Becoming Political ‘Lightning Rod’ After Defending CRT in the Military

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley complained he had become a “lightning rod of politicization” in testimony to Congress on his role in the government’s response to Jan. 6, 2021 riots at the capitol, according to recently released files.

Milley expressed frustration that his comments on wanting to “understand white rage” had generated political backlash, according to a transcript of his testimony, speaking to the House select committee in November of that year. Milley defended the military’s embrace of diversity policies and Critical Race Theory (CRT) during an interrogation from House Republicans that previous summer, saying he hoped to get to the bottom of “what is it that caused thousands of people to assault this building and try to overturn the Constitution of the United States of America.”

“I have become a lightning rod for the politicization of the military,” Milley told Congress’s investigative body on Jan. 6 in on Nov. 17, 2021. “I am constantly strung out, as an individual and also with Secretary Austin and others… .”

Milley cited the example of his “white rage” comments, a response to Republican criticism over U.S. military academies teaching CRT fundamentals, including that racism is systemic, as an example of where he and other senior Pentagon officials were being used as a punching bag for political frustrations, the transcript shows.

“So 90 seconds with Congressmen Gaetz and Waltz result in … 4, 5, 6 months of this constant drumbeat that is very damaging, in my view, personally, to the health of the Republic,” Milley said, referring to his June testimony. He cited a “deliberate” ploy to smear and politicize military leadership.

Biden ‘Working Out the Details’ To Go to Southern Border

President Joe Biden said Wednesday he has the “intention” to go to the southern border when he visits Mexico City from Jan. 9 to Jan. 10 for the North American Leaders’ Summit (NALS).

Biden confirmed he would be making the trip to the border, and that he’s “working out the details now,” while speaking to reporters outside of Air Force One on his return trip from Kentucky.

When he got back to the White House, Biden said he wanted to see “peace and security” and is “going to see what’s going on” at the border. He said he’ll give a speech on the topic Thursday.

Biden has not gone to the border since 2008 when he drove by as vice president, former White House press secretary Jen Psaki said in 2021.

Customs and Border Patrol has experienced record-breaking numbers of illegal migrant encounters during Biden’s presidency, with 2.3 million encounters recorded in fiscal year 2022.
