WATCH: Susan Rice Blasts Trump for Keeping Transcript on Top-Secret Server — Then Admits Obama Did the Same

Former national security adviser Susan Rice slammed President Donald Trump for storing the notes from his phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on a top-secret server — then admitted the Obama administration stored communications on the same server.

Speaking at the Texas Tribune Festival, Rice tore into the Trump administration for “unprecedented” actions, claiming officials have attempted to “bury” information.

“What [the Trump administration] did instead of storing it in the normal system, which is protected and classified, even though there was no classified substance in that actual discussion,” Rice said. “Instead of putting it where it normally resides, they hid it on a very highly sensitive, highly compartmented server that very few people in the U.S. government have access to in order to bury it.”

Then Rice was asked by the moderator how often the Obama administration did what she is criticizing the Trump administration for doing.

“We never moved them over unless they were legitimately, in the contents, classified,” she admitted

WATCH: Democrat Megadonor Michael Bloomberg Repeatedly Defends China’s Communist Party

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a billionaire and Democrat megadonor, was called out during an interview that aired on Friday on PBS’s “Firing Line” for repeatedly praising the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Bloomberg’s remarks came in response to a question from Margaret Hoover about climate change and how the United States can get India and China to be more responsible in reducing carbon emissions.

“China is doing a lot, India is doing some, but I think China is doing a lot,” Bloomberg responded. “Yes, they’re still building a lot of coal-fired power plants … but they’re now moving plants away from the cities.”

“The Communist Party wants to stay in power in China and they listen to the public,” Bloomberg continued. “When the public says ‘I can’t breathe the air,’ Xi Jinping is not a dictator, he has to satisfy his constituents or he’s not going to survive.” . . .

Hoover, however, did not let Bloomberg off the hook about his comments on the CPC being responsive to the people of China, saying, “the idea that the Chinese government is responsive to sort of a Democratic expression of fresh air, clean air … ”

Nothing to See Here: Public Radio, TV Networks Ignore Adam Schiff’s Fake Quotes From Trump Transcript

On Thursday, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) fabricated quotes from the transcript of President Donald Trump’s July 25 call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, the call at the center of Democrats’ impeachment inquiry. His quotes misrepresented the transcript, making it seem more damaging for Trump. When called out on it, he hilariously claimed that his remarks were just a parody. It seems the big three broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) thought these fake quotes weren’t a story, and when NPR and PBS interviewed Schiff, they didn’t ask one question about it.

Schiff started his “parody” by saying “this is the essence of what the president communicates: We’ve been very good to your country, very good. No other country has done as much as we have. But you know what? I don’t see much reciprocity here. I hear what you want, I have a favor I want from you, though. And I’m going to say this only seven times, so you better listen good.”

“I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand, lots of it, on this and on that. I’m going to put you in touch with people, not just any people, I’m going to put you in touch the attorney general of the United States, my attorney general, Bill Barr,” Schiff continued, supposedly not acting as if he were quoting the president. “And I’m going to put you in touch with Rudy, you’re going to love him, trust me. … And by the way, don’t call me again. I’ll call you when you’ve done what I asked.” . . .

As NewsBusters’ Nicholas Fondacaro reported, ABC, CBS, and NBC ignored the story, but Fox News’ The Story with Martha MacCallum covered it. MacCallum began the segment by noting that Schiff had taken “creative liberty” with the transcript: “Rather than reading from the transcript as it exists, and we all now have in the open of the president’s phone call with the Ukrainian President Zelensky, he parried it in a sort of free-verse improv.” (Read more from “Nothing to See Here: Public Radio, TV Networks Ignore Adam Schiff’s Fake Quotes From Trump Transcript” HERE)

WATCH: Ex-ICE Director Bulldozes Through Democrats’ Talking Points on Immigration in Fiery Testimony

Former ICE Director Thomas Homan once again bulldozed through the political talking points of the left on immigration during fiery testimony in Congress on Thursday.

Homan shot down criticism from Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) against the Trump administration for re-ordering funds to pay for his much promised border wall.

“I’d like to remind you, under the Obama administration we did that most of the years he was president,” Homan told Jayapal, who was presiding over the hearing of the House Judiciary Immigration and Citizenship Subcommittee.

“We moved money around at DHS, it’s called re-programming. We did that under the Obama administration,” he explained. “I don’t remember any hearings on that.”

Homan went on to point out that cages for detainees were built under former President Barack Obama, but most of the criticism only came later and was aimed at the Trump administration. Fox News Civil War: Tucker Carlson Repeatedly Mocks ‘Daytime Host’ Shepard Smith in Jawdropping Segment (VIDEO)

The war of words between Fox News personalities over Trump’s actions on Ukraine ratcheted up another notch as primetime host Tucker Carlson repeatedly mocked Shepard Smith and parodied the latter’s claim calling him “repugnant.”

The network’s increasingly nasty back-and-forth was ignited two days ago when Fox News legal analyst, former Judge Andrew Napolitano, blasted Trump’s acknowledgement that he solicited help from the Ukrainian president in investigating potential 2020 rival Joe Biden, unequivocally telling Smith that Trump’s actions constituted “a crime.”

This claim drew a strong rebuttal hours later on Carlson’s show from stridently pro-Trump lawyer Joe diGenova, who fired back at Napolitano, dismissing him as a “fool.” This volley was then returned on Wednesday by Smith, who called diGenova a “partisan guest” and decried as “repugnant “ the previous attacks on Napolitano. . .

After running the clip of Smith’s “repugnant” comment, Carlson sarcastically over-enunciated the word in reply. “Not clear if that was you or me but someone is repugnant!” he said, before reiterating his doubts about Napolitano’s claim Trump committed a crime. . .

“Why do we find our selves in a situation where people aren’t willing to admit that their passions are guiding their news coverage?” Carlson then asked, again not-so-subtly trashing Smith. “Wouldn’t it be better if we just said out loud you know this is what I think? For example you will never hear me criticize Rachel Maddow. I never agree with anything she says. But she is straightforward, it’s her opinion. Why wouldn’t it be better if we were all that transparent about what’s driving our shows?” (Read more from “Fox News Civil War: Tucker Carlson Repeatedly Mocks ‘Daytime Host’ Shepard Smith in Jawdropping Segment” HERE)

WATCH: Trump Taunts Media Over Released Transcript; Here’s What the Ukraine Call Transcript Revealed

By Daily Wire. Less than 24 hours after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) formally ordered an impeachment inquiry amid reports that President Trump “pressured” Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden for his role in the removal of a Ukrainian prosecutor investigating his son, the Trump administration released the partial transcript of the phone call at the center of the latest scandal. Shortly after releasing the transcript, Trump made televised comments taunting the “fake news media” for overhyping the “call from hell,” which prompted an outcry from some reporters in the room.

“It’s the single greatest witch hunt in American history,” said Trump, adding that the current scandal is “a disgraceful thing.” Referencing “the letter,” by which he clarifies that he means the transcript of the call, Trump says its release was done “at the insistence of myself and other people that read it.”

“It was a friendly letter, there was no pressure,” he said. “The way you had that built up, that call, it was going to be the call from hell. It turned out to be a nothing call — other than a lot of people said, ‘I never knew you could be so nice.’”

“So, part of the problem you have is you have the fake news, you have a lot of corrupt reporting,” the president opined. “You have some very fine reporters and journalists, but you have a lot of corrupt reporters, a lot of corrupt journalists.”

“I would rake you right in there, by the way,” he said, gesturing to some in the room, a move that sparked loud pushback from reporters. (Read more from “Watch: Trump Taunts Media Over Released Transcript” HERE)

Ukraine Call Transcript Shows Trump Sought Biden Probe, Asked About DNC Server – but Made No Mention of U.S. Aid

By Fox News. The White House on Wednesday released a transcript of President Trump’s July phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky showing he sought a review of Biden family dealings in the country — but the document does not show Trump explicitly leveraging military aid as part of a quid pro quo, as Democrats have suggested in pressing forward with impeachment.

The document, declassified by Trump a day earlier, indicates that the call – which Trump made from the White House residence — took place July 25 from 9:03 a.m. to 9:33 a.m. A notation on the memo says it does not represent a “verbatim transcript” but is based on “notes and recollections” of those listening and memorializing the call. It is still presented in transcript form.

The memo begins with the president congratulating Zelensky on his election victory, before Trump eventually broaches the subject former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter. . .

On Monday, it was reported that Trump had even ordered his staff to freeze nearly $400 million in aid to Ukraine a few days before the phone call with Zelensky, a detail that fueled impeachment calls and led House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to announce a formal impeachment inquiry Tuesday. But the call transcript does not show Trump explicitly mentioning the aid as a bargaining chip or otherwise — though Zelensky did appear to reference military aid early in the call, when he thanked Trump for “great support in the area of defense.” . . .

The transcript shows Zelensky eventually suggesting to Trump the Biden matter would be looked into by a new prosecutor. “He or she will look into the situation specifically to the company that you mentioned in this issue, the issue of the investigation of the case is actually the issue to restore the honesty so we will take care of that and we will work on the investigation of the case.” (Read more from “Ukraine Call Transcript Shows Trump Sought Biden Probe, Asked About Dnc Server – but Made No Mention of U.S. Aid” HERE)

WATCH: Pelosi’s Words About Impeachment in 1998 Come Back to Haunt Her

Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s words from 1998 about the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton are being used against her now as many critics are calling her a hypocrite in light of her decision this week to push for the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

“Today, the Republican majority is not judging the president with fairness, but impeaching him with a vengeance,” Pelsoi said on December 18, 1998. “In the investigation of the president, fundamental principles which Americans hold dear — privacy, fairness, checks and balances — have been seriously violated. And why Because we are here today because the Republicans in the House are paralyzed with hatred of President Clinton. And until the Republicans free themselves of this hatred, our country will suffer.”

Pelosi’s words stand out after it was announced this week that the Democrats are moving ahead with their plans to impeach Trump over a phone call that he had with Ukraine, which Pelosi condemned after admitting that she had not even read the transcript of the phone call.

WATCH: Pelosi Formally Announces Trump Impeachment Inquiry

By Townhall. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is formally signing off on an impeachment inquiry into President Donald J. Trump after he spoke to the Ukrainians, reportedly trying to coerce the political leadership there to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden on corruption charges. This was dredged up after a whistleblower came forward to the intelligence community inspector general, though it’s based on anonymous second-hand sources. The whistleblower didn’t even listen in on the calls, and it’s not the intelligence community’s job to snitch on the president. The president can say whatever he wants to another foreign leader. Period. And now, before anyone has read the transcript of the call, the House Democrats are launching a full-blown impeachment push. It’s not shocking. This was going to happen eventually. They had to do this; this is why the Democrats retook the House in 2018. So, fix bayonets, everyone. This is going to get bloody[.]

Pelosi Launches Trump Impeachment Proceedings

By CBS News. Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced the House is launching a formal impeachment inquiry into President Trump, setting up a dramatic constitutional clash just over a year before the presidential election.

“Today I’m announcing the House of Representatives is moving forward with an official impeachment inquiry,” Pelosi said at the Capitol late Tuesday afternoon. The inquiry marks just the fourth time in American history a president has faced a viable threat of impeachment. . .

“This week, the president has admitted to asking the president of Ukraine to take actions which would benefit him politically,” Pelosi said. “The actions of the Trump presidency revealed dishonorable facts of the president’s betrayal of his oath of office, betrayal of national security and betrayal of the integrity of our elections.” (Read more from “Pelosi Launches Formal Trump Impeachment Inquiry” HERE)

WATCH: FBI Raids Offices of Dem Senator as Part of ‘Ongoing Criminal Investigation’

The offices of Illinois state Sen. Mark Sandoval (D) were raided by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents on Tuesday, as part of an “ongoing criminal investigation.” . . .

The FBI did not disclose any details of the investigation, but told the Chicago Tribune that the raids on Sandoval’s district office and at the Illinois State Capital Building involved agents conducting “authorized law enforcement activity.”

According to the Associated Press, “Several men in dark suits and ties could be seen walking from the Senate Democrats’ side of the Capitol, carrying the bags and boxes of materials. The word ‘evidence’ could be see written across at least one of the bags.” The Tribune reported that one agent appeared to be carrying a desktop computer wrapped in plastic.

The Daily Mail reported that the “new investigation comes off the heels of a string of alleged corruption at Chicago’s City Hall,” citing a number of ongoing federal probes launched against Illinois officials.

Sandoval has served in the Illinois Senate since 2003, and currently serves as chairman of the Transportation Committee. The senator was also behind pushing through an initiative that doubled the state’s gas tax to 38-cents a gallon this year. The new tax went into effect in July as part of an effort to raise $45 billion for an infrastructure plan. WATCH: CNN Analyst Has Meltdown Over Whistleblower Complaint; Bombshell Revelation Unravels Whole Scandal

By Washington Examiner. CNN analyst and former FBI and CIA official Phil Mudd excoriated the unidentified whistleblower in the intelligence community who filed a complaint alleging President Trump made a “promise” with a foreign leader.

The topic of the whistleblower’s complaint was unknown until Wednesday, and many details remain unknown to the public, however the Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson called it “credible and urgent.” Atkinson testified in front of the House Intelligence Committee on Thursday morning.

Mudd discussed the revelations in the story and his distaste for it during an interview with Chris Cuomo on Wednesday night.

“Boy, I’m about ready to blow a gasket. That is extremely unusual and I listened to presidential phone calls when I was an official at the White House under George W. Bush in 2001. Can you explain to me, a, why it’s the U.S. Intelligence community’s responsibility to listen to the president of the United States speaking to a foreign leader,” Mudd began. “Last I checked, Chris, when I served, we were responsible for chasing the Russians, the Chinese, the Iranians, and terrorists. We’re not responsible for reporting to the Congress what the president says.” . . .

“What the heck is over the line? The president can say what he wants to Putin, he can say what he wants to Kim Jong Un. He can say to Kim Jong Un, which I think is completely over the top, I’ll go meet you in the DMZ, the demilitarized zone,” Mudd added. “The president can say what he wants. It’s not the responsibility of the intel guys to go police the president and go snitch on him to the Congress. Ridiculous.” (Read more from “CNN Analyst Has Meltdown Over Whistleblower Complaint” HERE)

Bombshell Revelation Buried Deep in Report Unravels Whistleblower Scandal Involving President Trump

By The Blaze. The whistleblower who lodged a complaint with the intelligence community inspector general about communications between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky did not have “direct knowledge” about the communications — but filed a complaint anyway.

The new revelation was buried deep in a CNN report detailing the fallout over the alleged July 25 phone call between Trump and Zelensky. Trump has allegedly asked Zelensky multiple times to help Rudy Giuliani investigate Hunter Biden, the son of Joe Biden.

According to CNN, the whistleblower complaint was filed on nothing more than hearsay:

The whistleblower didn’t have direct knowledge of the communications, an official briefed on the matter told CNN. Instead, the whistleblower’s concerns came in part from learning information that was not obtained during the course of their work, and those details have played a role in the administration’s determination that the complaint didn’t fit the reporting requirements under the intelligence whistleblower law, the official said.
