President Trump Says He ‘Was Not Happy’ With Crowd Chanting ‘Send Her Back’ at Campaign Rally

President Donald Trump on Thursday distanced himself from supporters who chanted “send her back” at his campaign rally in North Carolina after the president criticized Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn.

While speaking with reporters in the Oval Office, Trump was asked why he didn’t ask his supporters to stop the chant. “Well, number one, I think I did, I started speaking very quickly,” Trump said. “I disagree with it, by the way, but it was quite a chant.”

“I felt a little bit badly about it,” the president added. “I was not happy with it. I disagree with it.”

During the Wednesday evening rally in Greenville, N.C., the crowd erupted into chants of “send her back” after the president remarked on Omar, a Muslim Somali immigrant, laughing at Americans who say “al Quaeda” in a menacing tone and her refusal to condemn the terrorist group.

“Omar laughed that Americans speak of al Qaeda in a menacing tone and remarked that ‘you don’t say “America” with this intensity,’” Trump said to boos and jeers from the audience. “You say al Qaeda makes you proud, you don’t speak that way about America,” he continued. As he continued to criticize Omar, the crowd erupted into chants of “send her back.”

Omar did not say she is “proud” of al Qaeda, but in a 2013 video to which the president appears to be referring, she did joke about people saying “al Qaeda” and “Hezbollah” in harsh tones.

The chant has been condemned by several Republican officials, while other GOP leaders are defending the president. Asked about the incident Thursday, House Republican Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., said the president “didn’t join in” and criticized the media for trying to hold Trump accountable for actions taken by his large crowd.

This controversy follows widespread criticism and accusations of racism against President Trump for weekend tweets suggesting that progressive congresswomen including Omar should “go back” to countries they “originally came from.” Trump denied that his tweets were racist and insisted that “Radical Left Congresswomen apologize to our Country, the people of Israel, and even to the Office of the President, for the foul language they have used, and the terrible things they have said.” (For more from the author of “President Trump Says He ‘Was Not Happy’ With Crowd Chanting ‘Send Her Back’ at Campaign Rally” please click HERE)

American Pastor Released From Turkish Prison Astounded at the Rate the U.S. is Imploding

The evangelical Presbyterian pastor whose two-year imprisonment in Turkey sparked a geopolitical firestorm issued sobering words for Americans during a religious liberty conference last week.

Pastor Andrew Brunson lived as a missionary pastor in Turkey for decades until being detained in October 2016, following an alleged failed coup attempt against Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. His arrest sparked a diplomatic spat between Turkey and the U.S. in which President Trump involved himself personally.

During an interview at the Western Conservative Summit, held annually by the Centennial Institute at Colorado Christian University, Brunson claimed that the Judeo-Christian basis for American values is eroding.

“First of all, I think it’s coming to the U.S., that there will be persecution,” he said. “I was isolated for a few years, and coming back to the states was almost like coming back to a different country in many ways. And I’m really astounded at the speed with which, I think, the U.S. is imploding.”

“There are any number of issues where it seems that it’s no longer enough for a person of faith to get along with, or to serve, or to treat well someone they disagree with,” he continued. “And I think that the political business, media, celebrity class, and also academia, it seems that there’s much more of a demand that people of faith approve of, that they validate, that they celebrate things that they actually disagree with.”

Watch: Pole-Dancing ICE Protester Loses Her Mind When Confronted by Conservative Woman

On Monday, conservative media personality Ashley StClair visited an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility in Aurora, Colorado that was recently overtaken by anti-ICE protesters who removed the American flag and replaced it with the flag of Mexico.

StClair says in the video that she went to the facility to voice her support for law enforcement and for our country, a voice of opposition to the protesters in attendance. She was quickly met with a mob of radical left-wingers who screamed at the conservative and called her a “f***ing b****” and a “white supremacist.” In a moment caught on video, one of the protesters oddly started pole-dancing on a stop sign, too.

The video opens with an angry woman in a shirt that says “Free Them!!!” clapping and screaming.

“I don’t give a f***!” she repeatedly yells while furiously clapping her hands together in the conservative woman’s face. “You’re a f***ing b****! You’re a f***ing b****! Privileged a** b****, get the f*** out of here! Now!” . . .

The video then cuts to StClair standing alone. “I’m here at the Aurora ICE facility where protesters decided to take down the American flag and put a Mexican flag in its place,” she says. “I’m appalled that politicians like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have prompted this behavior and have disrespected our country, our law, and our law enforcement. I’m here to show support for our law enforcement, our country, and everything that our flag stands for. God bless America and God bless our law enforcement.”

Watch: Trump Brings up Allegations That Ilhan Omar Married Her Brother

President Donald Trump brought up the allegations that far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) married her brother to a group of reporters on Wednesday before boarding Marine One for his rally tonight.

A reporter asked Trump a question about Omar and Trump replied: “There’s a lot of talk about the fact that she was married to her brother. I know nothing about it. … I’m sure that somebody would be looking at that.”

Questions about Omar’s marital history have repeatedly been in the news as multiple news organizations have asked Omar to provide documents and answer specific questions that could clear up any controversy. Omar has refused to answer any questions about the matter.

Last month, the Star Tribune reported that “new investigative documents released by a state agency have given fresh life to lingering questions about the marital history of Rep. Ilhan Omar and whether she once married a man — possibly her own brother — to skirt immigration laws.”

“Sent a list of questions and a request to talk to her siblings and father, Omar declined to do so,” the Tribune added. “Omar declined to make her tax and immigration records available for this report. … Omar’s relatives could also clear the air, but they have remained silent about her marriage … She declined to make her family available for this story.”

WATCH: Harris Makes Impossible Promise Not to Tax Middle Class to Pay for Socialist Health Care

Democratic presidential candidate and junior California Senator Kamala Harris wants voters to believe that she’ll be able to pay for her “Medicare for All” plan without raising taxes on the middle class. The problem is the numbers just don’t support her pledge.

In an interview with CNN’s Kyung Lah that aired Wednesday, Harris tried to avoid talking about how she’d pay for the socialist health care plan that she introduced alongside Bernie Sanders, but eventually said, “I mean, I’m not in support of middle class families paying more taxes for it.”

Later in the interview, Harris outright said that she believes “there are ways to pay for” her over $30 trillion-dollar proposal “without a middle class tax hike.”

She explained, “Part of it is going to have to be be about Wall Street paying more. It’s going to have to be about looking at what we tax in terms of financial services. That’s part of it. The other part of it is to understand that this is about an investment which will reap a great return on the investment. We can’t only look at this issue in terms of cost without thinking about benefit. The benefit to the American public will be that people will have access to health care that right now they cannot afford. And we are all paying a price for that.”

Here’s the problem with that. The health care plan put forward by Harris and fellow Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders, Vt., would cost the federal government an additional estimated $32 trillion over 10 years. That’s $3.2 trillion per year on average.

Now, let’s talk about taxing the rich here. Just on the back of the napkin, that almost doubles the total operating cost of the whole federal government, which is already operating at an almost $1 trillion deficit for this year, according to the Treasury.

Also, in case anyone forgot, the United States is still over $22 trillion in debt, with no foreseeable correction to that in sight. And, as I pointed out at the introduction of President Trump’s most recent budget request, we can’t even address the debt problem by taxation alone, much less take on a massive new health care program.

Here’s why: According to numbers from October, the 585 billionaires in the U.S. have a combined net worth of about 3.1 trillion (less than a year of Medicare for All). And even if some socialist scion were to seize control and tax those billionaires for literally everything they were worth, we’d have enough revenue to make about a 14 percent dent in the national debt or fully fund a 4.75 trillion federal budget for 237.4 days (just under eight months).

It’s also important to keep in mind that 37.3 percent of the total tax burden is already carried by the top 1 percent of earners.

Taxing Wall Street sounds like an easy place to put the cost burden, and the suggestion makes for a good sound bite, but the “speculation tax” proposed by Bernie Sanders earlier this year would only raise $600 billion over a decade, according to estimates. It would have to be about 50 times as burdensome to cover a $32 trillion bill over the same time period.

There is, however, one other option to pay for socialist health care without putting the burden on the middle class taxpayers it supposedly seeks to help: Blow up the national debt and force our grandchildren to deal with the cost of yet another federal boondoggle.

Put simply, the math just doesn’t add up. At least Bernie Sanders admits that he’d have to raise taxes to pay for this plan. (For more from the author of “Harris Makes Impossible Promise Not to Tax Middle Class to Pay for Socialist Health Care” please click HERE)

Unintended Consequences from Plastic Straw Bans Might Be Harming the Environment Even More

As Scott Duke Kominers of Bloomberg explains, customers like the metal straws that replaced the banned plastic straws so much that they are stealing them from restaurants, believing it to be a minor grievance against the business. . .

…this means the metal straws — which presumably required mining, plus large amounts of energy to convert into sheet metal and then fashion it into a cylindrical tube — don’t provide the intended environmental benefit.

Kominers points out that there are no studies yet on the efficacy of banning plastic straws, but he points to similar studies on the lack of efficacy of banning plastic bags.

Reusable plastic bags take much more energy to produce than single use plastic bags because they’re thicker. Studies show that in order to make up the difference, each reusable plastic bag has to be used about 40 times to make up the difference. But given that many end up being stuffed into closets or used as trash liners, this is very unlikely. . .

Metal straws are also many times more expensive for restaurants to replace, costing between $1 and $3 each. That means they might really be hurting restaurant businesses. (Read more form “Unintended Consequences from Plastic Straw Bans Might Be Harming the Environment Even More” HERE)

A Member of AOC’s ‘Squad’ Just Made an Outrageously Bigoted Statement

Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), now known as the Ringo Starr of the so-called “Squad,” is, like the other members of her far-left girl group, a raging bigot. While they go into spasms of outrage over President Trump’s stupid tweet, we must bear in mind that, when it comes to denouncing bigotry, none of these four have a leg to stand on — especially Pressley, who now proudly owns one of the most absurdly bigoted statements we’ve heard from an American politician in decades.

Speaking at a progressive political convention a few days ago, Pressley launched into a diatribe that would surely end her career if she belonged to a different political party or political movement. To the sound of exuberant applause, the new Ringo declared: “We don’t need any more brown faces that don’t want to be a brown voice. We don’t need black faces that don’t want to be a black voice. We don’t need Muslims that don’t want to be a Muslim voice. We don’t need queers that don’t want to be a queer voice.”

Someone who is not well acquainted with liberal-speak may be more confused than horrified by these comments. What is a brown voice? What is a black voice? Do voices have colors? What she means is that a brown or black person should have opinions that are properly representative of their racial communities. And what she means by properly representative of their racial communities is that their opinions should be resoundingly liberal. Put more simply, Pressley is telling brown, black, Muslim, and gay people to keep their traps shut if they aren’t going to conform to her ideological expectations. “You’re not needed,” she emphasizes. The RNC Just Torched Ocasio-Cortez And Her ‘Squad’s’ Presser By Rehashing All The Things That Back Up What Trump Said About Them

This crew was throwing punches at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, but President Trump decided to insert himself into the intra-Democratic Party conflict, telling the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wing of the party that they can leave if they’re unhappy with America. That set off a meltdown across the liberal media establishment. The accusations of racism and xenophobia were hurled once again. After hours of simmering, Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) said they weren’t going to take Trump’s bait, but then decided to chomp down hook, line, and sinker, with Omar wholeheartedly endorsing the impeachment of Donald trump solely on the basis that he beat Hillary Clinton and didn’t like what he said about them on Twitter. Yes, they peddled the same trash liberal talking points, but impeachment seems to be their main unveiling, which isn’t a shocker, while reaffirming the progressive left that they’re still feisty.

Video Shows Bear Charging Man Who Came Within Feet of Cubs

A black bear in Tennessee charged at a man who was seen on video Saturday approaching the animal and her cubs.

The man is seen coming within feet of the bear and her cubs at Cades Cove, a popular tourist spot in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

The man was not hurt, according to Paige Marple of Knoxville, who was in the area with her boyfriend and brother when they noticed the bear and her cubs. Marple told Fox News that they stayed in their truck and watched from a distance as the man approached the bear. . .

“You can hear myself, my brother and my boyfriend all gasp, as we thought it was going to get bad,” Marple said. “Shock and relief was followed by a feeling of anger because the man did something that could have very well ended bad for himself and the family of bears.”

Dana Soehn, a park spokesperson, told Fox News that visitors need to be aware that bears are wild animals, and can be dangerous or unpredictable, adding that it is illegal to come within 50 yards of them in the park. WATCH: Former ICE Director Stuns Ocasio-Cortez in Fiery Debate on Family Separation

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Calif.) appeared stunned when former ICE Director Thomas Homan hit back hard on the legality of family separations at the border. . .

Ocasio-Cortez pressed him on whether he recommended the family separation policy to former DHS Secretary Nielsen, but he countered that he gave numerous recommendations on how to “secure the border and save lives.” . . .

“If I get arrested for DUI and I have a young child in the car, I’m gonna be separated,” interrupted Homan. “When I was a police officer in New York and I arrested a father for domestic violence, I separated that father from his home.”

“Mr. Homan with all due respect, legal asylees are not charged with any crime,” Ocasio-Cortez replied.

Homan countered by saying that being present in the U.S. without documentation is illegal.
