Watch: Ilhan Omar Explodes at CNN Reporter

Anti-Semitic Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) snapped at a CNN reporter on Wednesday, bridling under increasing media scrutiny over her anti-Semitic beliefs.

CNN’s Manu Raju — who has arguably done the best job of tracking down Omar and asking her tough questions — approached her and asked her about President Donald Trump’s call for her to resign from Congress.

“The president said that you should resign and the vice president said you should be held accountable for your views,” Raju said to Omar. “Can you respond to that?”

. . .Raju later tried to question Omar over her response to President Trump, when she tweeted: “Hi @realDonaldTrump, You have trafficked in hate your whole life—against Jews, Muslims, Indigenous, immigrants, black people and more. I learned from people impacted by my words. When will you?”

“Are you serious?” Omar asked. “What is wrong with you?”

Trump Breaks His Silence on Proposed Border Deal

President Donald Trump said Tuesday he was not “happy” with the border deal negotiated by bipartisan committees in the House and Senate to fund border security and avert a government shutdown.

“Am I happy at first glance? I just got to see it. The answer is no, I’m not. I’m not happy,” Trump told reporters in the White House just before a Cabinet meeting. But he added that he is “thrilled” with the direction his administration is going, “because we’re supplementing things, and moving things around, and we’re doing things that are fantastic and taking from far less, really from far less important areas.”

Congress must reach a deal to fund the government by Friday, or else a second government shutdown of this year will be triggered. A bipartisan group of lawmakers assigned to committees in the House and the Senate to draft a deal behind closed doors presented their agreement Tuesday. The proposed deal would give Trump far less than the $5.7 billion he requested to build a wall, and it would specifically prohibit the construction of concrete barriers. Instead, the deal would reportedly appropriate $1.375 billion for physical barriers and the construction of 55 miles of fencing, while also reducing the number of overall ICE detention beds from 49,057 to 40,520. Under this deal, the wall would not be built and Congress would limit the ability of immigration enforcement to enforce the law.

President Trump did not say he would reject the deal. He did predict that the government would not shut down and insisted that his administration would finish construction of the wall.

“The bottom line is we’re building a lot of wall,” Trump said.

It is unclear how Trump intends to finish the wall. His comment about “moving things around” seems to echo a Politico report from Monday night that the White House is considering an executive order to shift money from Army Corps of Engineers’ flood projects and disaster relief to fund construction of the wall. Trump also reiterated his right to declare a national emergency to fund the wall, though he did not definitively say whether he would do so. Conservatives Balk at GOP Border Deal ‘Cave’ to Keep Government Open

After Republicans and Democrats reached an agreement in principle on border security, details of the bipartisan budget deal to keep the government open Friday have begun to surface, and conservatives are calling it a “cave.”

“We’ve had a good evening. We’ve reached an agreement in principle between us on the Homeland Security and the other six bills,” Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., told reporters Monday night. According to The Hill, the budget deal will include $1.375 billion for physical barriers and 55 new miles of fencing, but specifically prohibits the construction of concrete wall. Democrats reportedly gave up on their demand to cap the number of ICE detention beds in the interior of the country to limit the number of illegal immigrants the Trump administration could detain and force law enforcement to focus on the worst violent criminals. But the overall cap on detention beds will drop, according to Washington Post reporter Erica Werner.

These are the tentative details, the AP reports. The deal will be officially released Tuesday after congressional aides finish writing the legislation behind closed doors. But the compromise is already meeting opposition from influential conservatives.

“Any Republican that supports this garbage compromise, you will have to explain,” Fox News host Sean Hannity said Monday on his evening program.

Other prominent conservative personalities have called the details a “cave.”

And the leaders of the conservative House Freedom Caucus are critical of the deal as well.

So what will President Trump do with this deal as he’s briefed on it today? If his Monday night rally is any indication, he may intend to go ahead to build the wall with or without Congress.

“As I was walking up to this stage, I was told, ‘Progress is being made with this committee.’ Just so you know, we’re building the wall anyway,” Trump said in El Paso, Texas.

That could mean Trump intends to use the National Emergencies Act to requisition the funding for the wall from the Defense Department. Or, as White House acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney is pushing, the president can use an executive order to redirect funds from different government accounts toward a border wall. Both actions are likely to be challenged in court. (For more from the author of “Conservatives Balk at GOP Border Deal ‘Cave’ to Keep Government Open” please click HERE)

Photo of ‘the View’ Co-Host Joy Behar Dressed as a ‘Beautiful African Woman’ Resurfaces

A long forgotten video clip from ABC’s “The View” resurfaced on Wednesday that showed co-host Joy Behar trying to explain a Halloween costume from when she was younger.

The clip was shared by The Wrap media editor Jon Levine. Behar was seen discussing a New York Times op-ed about the resurgence of curly hair during the show in 2016. Behar showed her colleagues and the audience a picture of herself with curly hair when she was 29 years old.

The co-hosts appeared surprised by her drastically different look. Raven-Symoné, a former co-host, asked, “Joy, are you black?”

. . .

Behar explained that the picture was taken at a Halloween party where she dressed up as a “beautiful African woman” and stressed that it was her actual hair. . .

The video resurfaced as Democrats in Virginia face intense scrutiny over their use of blackface decades ago. On Friday, Governor Ralph Northam offered an apology after a photograph emerged on his medical school yearbook page that featured a man in blackface and another in a KKK robe. He reversed course the next day, claiming he wasn’t in that photo but did admit to wearing blackface when dressing up as Michael Jackson for a costume contest. Trump and Beto Face off in Texas; Trump TAUNTS Failed Senate Candidate

By NBC News. President Donald Trump and Beto O’Rourke faced off less than half a mile — but worlds apart — from each other on Monday night.

“A young man who’s got very little going for himself except he’s got a great first name, he challenged us,” the president told supporters, dubbing the crowd size at a nearby event headlined by the former El Paso congressman and possible 2020 Democratic presidential candidate “not too good”: “What I would say is, that may be the end of his presidential bid.” . . .

“We probably have some good news,” Trump told the crowd. “But who knows? …Just so you know, we are building the wall anyway.” . . .

He spoke soon after O’Rourke called El Paso “one of the safest cities in the United States of America…safe, not because of walls — but in spite of walls.”

“Walls do not save lives. They end lives,” he said at the “March for Truth: Stop the Wall, Stop the Lies” rally a short drive from Trump’s. (Read more from “Trump and Beto Face off in Texas; Trump TAUNTS Failed Senate Candidate” HERE)

Trump Taunts Beto: My Line Is Bigger Than Your ‘Tiny Little Line’

By Daily Wire. President Donald Trump taunted failed Democratic Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke on Monday evening over the expected crowd turnout that is expected at his rally on the Texas border.

“We have a line that is very long already, I’m mean you see what’s going on,” Trump told reporters before boarding Air Force One and flying to Texas where he will hold a rally in El Paso. “And I understand our competitor’s got a line too, but it’s a tiny little line. Of course (the media) make it sound like they have more people than we do. That’s not going to happen.”

“But we’re going there for a reason,” Trump continued. “We’re going there to keep our country safe. And we don’t want murderers and drug dealers and gang members, MS-13, and some of the worst people in the world coming into our country.”

“Now, Mexico has had the worst year they’ve ever had,” Trump noted. “Almost 40,000 killings in Mexico this year. One of the most unsafe places, unfortunately. We need a wall. And all of the other things are nice to have. But without a wall, it’s not going to work. We can have technology, we can have beautiful drones flying all over the place, but it doesn’t work without the wall.” (Read more from “Trump Taunts Beto: My Line Is Bigger Than Your ‘Tiny Little Line'” HERE)

Abortion Survivors to Democrats: We Are People, and We Have a Right to Live

Monday morning on “Fox & Friends,” a panel of three abortion survivors weighed in on the debate surrounding the legalization of late-term abortion in New Yorkand similar bills being put forward in Virginia and other states.

Melissa Ohden, founder of the Abortion Survivors Network, Josiah Presley, and Claire Culwell were each adopted and shared their stories of learning they had survived an attempted abortion.

The panel was asked about Virginia Democrat Gov. Ralph Northam’s comments suggesting that a mother and her abortionist will have a “discussion” about what to do with a child that survives an abortion attempt and is delivered alive.

“It’s really sad to hear that, but it’s not surprising to hear that when we live in a country that has arbitrary criteria for what defines personhood,” Presley said. “Abortion’s legal in the first trimester, the second trimester, I mean, the next step is why not the third trimester? Why not right after they’re born?”

Asked about New York Democrats cheering the legalization of late-term abortions, Culwell, whose mother attempted to have an abortion at five months and later learned that only one of her twins was killed, called the Democrats’ applause “shocking.”

“It’s shocking to me that people no longer in our country care about what is true and right,” Culwell said. “We know that a baby is what is inside of the mother’s womb based on medical technology and science, and so we just hope that because people can see our faces and see that we are people, we are human, we do grow up to be someone someday, that people will realize that those women do not speak for women like me.”

“This is a human rights issue,” Ohden said. “In a world that decries women’s rights, where were Claire’s rights? Where were mine? Where are the rights of those little girls that are going to have their lives ended by abortion today?”

“Without the right to life, there is no other right that comes,” she added.

Last week, Senate Democrats blocked a bill sponsored by Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., that would protect infants born alive after an attempted abortion. The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act requires that a child delivered alive after an attempted abortion be given medical care, essentially banning the infanticide of children who survive abortions so that they can grow up to live their own lives.

There are no rational grounds to oppose that legislation, and the stories told on “Fox & Friends” today re-emphasize the need for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., to move forward with a vote on Sasse’s bill to put Democrats on record on infanticide. Ocasio-Cortez Hearing Goes Viral. Here’s What the Video Didn’t Show.

By Daily Wire. Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and her minions in the media clipped a 5-minute video of a House Oversight and Reform Committee on Wednesday which quickly went viral — but excluded a follow-up response that put a damper on Ocasio-Cortez’s pontificating.

In a video shared on Twitter by actor James Corden, and retweeted by Ocasio-Cortez, the 29-year-old politician used the opportunity at the hearing to promote her anti-establishment brand.

Ocasio-Cortez claimed that it was “already super legal, as we’ve seen, for me to be a pretty bad guy,” as she questioned several people about what she was allowed to do with her “special-interest, dark-money-funded campaign” money.

The video was retweeted over 350,000 times in under 24 hours and was viewed over 19 million times.

The video conveniently did not include the follow-up response by IFS Chairman Bradley A. Smith, who was asked by Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) to correct the record on a line of misleading questioning by Ocasio-Cortez.

White House blasts Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal: ‘Central planning disaster’

By The Hill. The White House lambasted the Green New Deal climate resolution spearheaded by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) this week slamming it as a “central planning disaster” and “a roadmap to destroy the American Economy.”

White House spokesperson Judd Deere said in a statement to The Hill that President Trump “has vowed that America would never be socialist, and this administration will fight this central planning disaster,” adding that the plan was a “roadmap to destroy the American Economy.”

Politico first reported Deere’s comments regarding the resolution.

Ocasio-Cortez introduced a resolution on Thursday that would push the U.S. to reduce carbon emissions through the economy.

The proposal has a goal of creating millions of “good, high-wage jobs” by working toward net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. (Read more from “White House blasts Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal: ‘Central planning disaster'” HERE)

WATCH: Police Chief Swears in 6-Year-Old With Cancer, Fights Back Tears

In a moment that brought the local police chief to tears, a six-year-old Texas girl was made an honorary police officer in Freeport Texas on Thursday, and she had the most compelling reason of any recruit: she has cancer which doctors say cannot be treated with chemotherapy, and she wanted to become an officer so she could fight the “bad guys” in her body and make them “go away.”

Abigail Arias, 6, has Wilms tumor, a type of kidney cancer in children. Freeport Police Chief Raymond Garivey Jr. told CNN, “The chemo and radiation hasn’t worked and basically the family is now leaving it in God’s hands and praying for a miracle.” Abigail’s mother Ilene admitted to KTRK, “They basically said it’s time to enjoy some life. Extremely tough. We cried for a few weeks.” Abigail herself said, “I have cancer. The bad guys are in my lungs. I rung the bell, but now this cancer is coming back.”

In December, Abigail met Garivey and told him about her dream to become a police officer. Garivey recalled, “She goes, ‘I want to be a police officer.’ I looked back at her dad and I said, “She probably should have never told me that.” And he kind of just winked at me and I said, “We’re going to make that happen.”

The police invited Abigail to come to the Freeport station on February 7 to become an honorary police officer. Garivey said, ““Her terrific smile and will to keep fighting ‘the bad guys’ inside of her — I wanted to make her dream come true,” according to CNN, adding, “You have to meet her to really understand what a great and inspiring young lady she is.”

Here Are Ocasio-Cortez’s Latest Idiotic Remarks About Illegal Aliens and Immigration Enforcement

It still has to deal with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and her ongoing crusade against Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Her push to abolish ICE is partially what fueled her meteoric rise to Washington. Ocasio-Cortez took out longtime Democrat Joe Crowley in an upset primary that had many saying it was the Democratic version of what Republican Congressman David Brat did to then-House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in Virginia.

We all know the game here. First, we need immigration enforcement. We need federal agents working in tandem with local officials to do it. This isn’t a serious proposal, but it gets the far left riled up. And because it isn’t a serious proposal, you get half-baked jargon from the people peddling it. Yesterday, Ocasio-Cortez declared that Latinos couldn’t be declared illegal because…they’re descendants of native people (via Free Beacon):

The self-described Democratic socialist spoke on Thursday alongside several liberal groups, including MoveOn and United We Dream, a pro-immigration group that calls for ICE to be abolished. She repeatedly slammed ICE, claiming it “repeatedly and systematically violates human rights.”

“They do not deserve a dime until they can prove that they are honoring human rights, until they can make a good faith effort to expand and embrace immigrants … Until they can prove good faith to an American ideal, they do not deserve any resources for their radical agenda. We have to have respect for children, respect for families, respect for human rights, and respect for the right of human mobility,” Ocasio-Cortez said of the agency tasked with enforcing U.S. immigration laws.

The freshman congresswoman went on to suggest ICE has not given due respect to those who enter the country illegally. The United States must “respect for the right of human mobility,” she said before adding, “because it is a right.”

Venezuelans in DC: ‘We’ve Seen What Happens When Socialism Takes to the Extreme’

Our friends over at Campus Reform attended an anti-Maduro protest in Washington, D.C., to get a sense of what real Venezuelans think about the socialist policies installed in their native country.

The Venezuelan protesters urged caution about promoting the far-left policies implemented in Caracas, where socialism has caused a full-blown economic, political, and humanitarian crisis of unprecedented proportions.

“People are eating from trash bags in the street, so how has socialism actually helped the country?” asked a woman who took part in the protests.

“I don’t think any Venezuelan can really like socialism because we’ve seen it put in place,” responded one protester.

“It’s not a game. It is not a game. It is not the route to go. It is not possible. It is not feasible. Don’t fall for it,” said another.

“We’ve seen what happens when socialism takes to the extreme,” said a woman wearing a Venezuelan hat and a Venezuelan flag.

“Check your history. Look at the news. Look at all the countries that have failed under socialist government, like Cuba, like Venezuela,” another protester responded.

Considering that a large swath of the Left is now pushing a full-blown socialist Green New Deal, it doesn’t appear that they’ve spoken to enough people who have actually been forced to live under these failed policy ideas.
