In the inaugural broadcast of NBC’s “Christmas in Washington,” part of the program included then-President Ronald Reagan reading A Solitary Life, a parable of the life of Jesus Christ, to children gathered at the White House.
After nearly 2,000 years, Jesus today is “the centerpiece of much of the human race,” says President Reagan. All the armies, govrnments, and powers of this world have not affected the world in any way as powerfully as this “one solitary life,” he explains.

Senator Lindsey Graham is ending his presidential campaign, he told CNN during an exclusive interview airing Monday.
“I’m going to suspend my campaign. I’m not going to suspend my desire to help the country,” the South Carolina senator said in a wide-ranging and candid discussion in which he acknowledged: “I’ve hit a wall here” . . .
Graham is known for his quick wit and famous for his one-liners (just ask Princess Buttercup about his retort from the last debate), but he was sober, serious and emotional as he described his decision to leave the race just weeks before the voting begins. (Editor’s note: RINO Graham is also known for being a total, in-the-tank Establishment politico)
One thing is clear: Graham still wants his voice heard on the direction his party is headed, especially with regard to the Middle East.
“Here’s what I predict. I think the nominee of our party is going to adopt my plan when it comes time to articulate how to destroy ISIL,” he said. “We’ve fallen short here, but the fight continues. To those who are doing the fighting, I want to be your voice. To those in the Republican Party who want to win, check my plan out. Hillary, if you get to be President, I’ll help you where I can. I hope you’re not. But if you are, I’ll be there to help you win a war we can’t afford to lose.” (Read more from “Major: GOP Candidate Drops out of Race” HERE)
By CNS News Staff. President Barack Obama issued a weekly address today listing what he believes are the Top 10 things that happened in the United States in 2015.
The Number 3 and Number 2 items on his list are the nationwide legalization of same-sex marriage and what he calls the “Christmas Miracles” of the budget deal he made with the Republican Congress and the new law he signed, enacted by the Republican Congress, that re-authorizes Department of Education programs.
The Number 1 item on Obama’s list is his belief that Americans worked to achieve things he admires.
Here is the president’s weekly address:
Hi, everybody. It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Not just for spreading holiday cheer – but also for list makers. You’ve got wish lists; Santa’s list; and of course, a blizzard of year-in-review lists. So I decided to get in on the action.

Obama Skips Democratic Debate, Goes Golfing in Hawaii
By Nick Gass. On his first full day of his annual Christmas vacation in Hawaii, President Barack Obama was not tuned in to see the latest debate between those vying to become his Democratic successor.
Instead, the president spent much of the Democratic on the golf course more than 5,000 miles away. (Read more from “Obama Skips Democratic Debate, Goes Golfing in Hawaii” HERE)

Looking to understand just how controversial the debate over free speech on our college campuses really is, filmmaker and satirist Ami Horowitz recently traveled to Yale University, one of our nation’s most prestigious institutions of higher learning, to speak directly to students.
“I decided to take this campus free speech debate to its logical conclusion,” said Horowitz, who asked students if they’d sign a petition calling for an outright repeal of the First Amendment. “The result was this unbelievable display of total stupidity.”

When the parents of Claire Koch of Clearwater, Fla., went to see her at a kindergarten holiday concert performance, they didn’t know she had a special surprise planned for them.
Claire is a KODA (Kid of Deaf Adults) – both of her parents are hearing-impaired. Her mother, Lori Koch, can read lips, but her dad only signs. Although Claire and her sister Charlotte are not deaf, they’ve been using American Sign Language (ASL) to communicate with their parents since they were babies.
So it was only natural for little Claire to not only sing the songs as her mom and dad watched from the front row, but to also sign the words in the most amazing and enthusiastic way!

You may have never noticed it, but Russian President Vladimir Putin walks a little funny.
Now researchers think they know why: It’s most likely KGB weapons training at work.
Neurology professor Bastiaan Bloem of the Radboud University Medical Center in the Netherlands and colleagues had noticed that Putin often walks with his right arm held rigid, while his left arms swings freely.
“We were struck to find several consecutive YouTube recordings of Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, manifesting a clearly reduced right-sided arm swing,” Bloem and colleagues wrote in The BMJ, the British Medical Journal’s online publication which just happens to be running tongue-in-cheek holiday stories this week. (You can see the video here)
Bloem’s a movement disorders specialist and he and some colleagues had briefly wondered if it might be Parkinson’s disease, which can cause stiff movements. (Read more from “Why Does Vladimir Putin Walk Like That?” HERE)

When MSNBC’s Chris Hayes tried to argue that the man who shot three people at a Planned Parenthood office in Colorado was no different than the radical Islamists who slaughtered 14 people in California, because the killers were following their religion, Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said it was not the same because Jesus never ordered people to kill but Muhammed did.
On the Dec. 9 edition of MSNBC’s All In with Chris Hayes, the host said, “Why is this any different? You, understandably, as a Christian, as someone of the faith, right, you look at what happened at Planned Parenthood and say, ‘that’s not the faith that I believe in.’”
Rep. King answered, “What Planned Parenthood is doing [aborting babies] is not the faith that I believe in.”
“But Jesus never ordered anyone to be killed,” said King, “and He never raised his hand to injure anyone specifically, but Muhammed did.”

A Texas imam who has challenged American Muslims to support their home nation said he agrees with Donald Trump’s call for a temporary ban on new Muslims entering the United States.
Imam Nidal Alsayyed of Beaumont, Texas, said the government should go even further than Trump’s proposal and establish a ban on accepting Syrian refugees of any religion. He said that actions are necessary “when it comes to peace and safety.”
“I certainly see it to be wise (to) stop temporarily accepting any new Muslim immigrants (refugees and non-refugees) into the United States,” he said.
This “is based on the fact that we can hardly distinguish who is Muslim and who is not. Islam is not about an ID card or last name or shouting ‘Allahu Akbar,’” he added.
“It does not matter whether Trump said it or anyone else … American Muslims need to say we are with this country,” he said . . .
“I believe there is a great confusion and lack of understating nationally and among Muslim themselves for what Mr. Trump is calling for. Refugees in general have no clear identity or belief. They are seeking shelter and opportunity; but America cannot take this risk NOW!” he said. Back before 2008 Peter Schiff was harshly criticized and laughed at for his predictions about a coming economic collapse. Among other things Schiff warned that consumer spending had hit a wall, stocks were overpriced and lax credit lending practices would lead to a detonation of the banking system. Rather than heed the warnings, the biggest names in mainstream media tried to discredit him for not toeing the official narrative. Shortly thereafter, of course, Schiff was vindicated and much of the doom he had forecast came to pass.
Today, Schiff continues to argue that the economy is on a downhill trajectory and this time there’ll be no stopping it. All of the emergency measures implemented by the government following the Crash of 2008 were merely temporary stop-gaps. The light at the end of the tunnel being touted by officials as recovery, Schiff has famously said, is actually an oncoming train. And if the forecast he laid out in his latest interview is as accurate as those he shared in 2007, then the the train is about to derail.
We’re broke. We’re basically living off of debt. We’ve had a huge transformation of the American economy. Look at all the Americans now on food stamps, on disability, on unemployment.
The whole economy has imploded… the bottom hasn’t dropped out yet because we’re able to go deeper into debt. But the collapse is coming.
Fundamentally, America is worse off now than it was pre-crash. With the national debt rising unabated and money being printed out of thin air without reprieve, it is only a matter of time. (Read more from “Financial Analyst Warns: The Whole Economy Has Imploded… Collapse Is Coming” HERE)
CNN host Chris Cuomo did some defending of Muslims as a whole after last May’s “Draw Muhammad” contest in Garland, Texas, where two armed Islamic militants apparently targeting the event were gunned down by law enforcement . . .
But lately Cuomo seems to have struck a different tone.
This week he relentlessly grilled lawyers for the family of the suspected killers in the San Bernardino mass shooting and grew annoyed at their apparent doubt that the deceased Muslim husband and wife had anything to do with the massacre.
And in a different CNN segment regarding San Bernardino, Cuomo spoke remotely to fellow anchors Alisyn Camerota and Michaela Pereira about an issue news anchors don’t generally bring up.
