ATF Agent Sends Shockwave Across Internet with Explosive Allegations about ‘Fast and Furious’ and Brian Terry’s Death (+video)

John Dodson, the federal agent who blew the lid off the Justice Department’s “Fast and Furious” gun-walking scandal, claims the FBI had ties to the men who killed U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in 2010 near Nogales, Ariz. In fact, Dodson says the Mexican bandits who gunned down Terry were working for FBI operatives and had been sent to the border to do a “drug rip-off” using intelligence gathered by the DEA.

Dodson, a special agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, said he doesn’t think the FBI was part of the rip-off crew, but the agency was “directing the rip crew.” The explosive claims were made in an interview with The Arizona Republic this week and are already creating some waves across the Internet.

The allegations are also found in Dodson’s recently released book, “The Unarmed Truth,” which chronicles his role as a whistleblower during Operation Fast and Furious. The Obama administration unsuccessfully tried to block the publication of his book.

Terry belonged to an elite Border Patrol tactical team sent to a remote area known as Peck Canyon, roughly a dozen miles northwest of Nogales, where violence had escalated because criminal gangs were stealing narcotics from drug runners known as mules. He was slain in a shootout with several bandits. Two assault-type rifles found at the scene were subsequently traced to Fast and Furious.

The operation, based in Phoenix, was launched in 2009 to identify and prosecute drug lords, but instead allowed guns to be “walked” into the hands of Mexican criminals. ATF agents encouraged licensed firearms dealers in Arizona to sell more than 2,000 weapons to known “straw buyers” who were working for cartels. Instead of arresting suspects immediately, surveillance agents took notes and let them disappear with the guns.

Is This Obama’s Monica Lewinsky? (+video)

Lyndon Johnson had Vietnam. Richard Nixon had Watergate. Ronald Reagan had Iran-Contra. George H.W. Bush had taxes increases.

And, as first reported by The Drudge Report, Bill Clinton had an intimate relationship with a White House intern.

Now President Obama has a major credibility issue that is sure to forever taint his legacy.

Obama’s credibility will be difficult to regain after the failure of his core Obamacare promise, and the disastrous roll-out of the health-care law rescued the Republicans from a public relations nightmare following the government shutdown, according to one of the nation’s leading political scientists.

Larry Sabato is a professor of political science at the University of Virginia and directs the school’s Center for Politics. He told WND President Obama lost a lot of ground with the American people by promising them if they liked their health plans and doctors that they could keep them.

A man in a Santa Claus suit who has been identified as Xavier Hawkins was shot in the back with a pellet gun Tuesday morning during a toy giveaway in a part of Southeast Washington plagued by crime.

The video is disturbing. The man dressed as Santa has led the annual Barry Farm gift giveaway for the last seven years, and according to an ABC7 photographer who was interviewing the victim at the time of the shooting, the he was struck in his upper back then transported to a nearby hospital with the pellet still lodged in his shoulder.

Later on Tuesday, we saw Xavier Hawkins again after he was released from the hospital. He showed us the tear in his Santa suit as well as the scene of the depraved crime:

“Oh, here’s the hole. That’s where I got shot — right there.”

In the video, you can hear Hawkins’ booming voice faltering after being hit. It was an act of violence appalling on more levels than we can fathom.

A mother of four has surprised her children, husband and his new fiancée with heartbreaking Christmas letters two years after her death from ovarian cancer.

Brenda Schmitz was 46 when she passed away in September 2011. As a parting gift, she entrusted a letter to a friend, who remains anonymous, to deliver when the time was right. The letter was addressed to a local Des Moines, Iowa, radio station and contained two other letters; one for her husband David and another for the new love of his life.

A month before she lost her battle to the disease, Schmitz wrote the letter to KSTZ Star 102.5, which runs a Christmas wishes program each year. Listeners send in their Christmas wish letters, and the station elicits the help of sponsors to grant a select few.

Brenda’s wishes were finally revealed two years later when the station brought her husband, David, into the studio and read the note to him on air last week.

“When you are in receipt of this letter, I will have already lost my battle to ovarian cancer,” the letter from Brenda began. “I told [my friend] once my loving husband David had moved on in his life and had met someone to share his life with again, to mail this letter to all of you at the station.”

Christmas Eve Spacewalk for Repair Job A Success (+video)

While many people spent Christmas Eve doing last-minute shopping, two American astronauts had a more challenging matter to attend to Tuesday.

In orbit more than 200 miles above Earth, flight engineers Rick Mastracchio and Mike Hopkins embarked on a spacewalk Tuesday morning to repair part of the International Space Station’s cooling system.

The spacewalk ended at 2:23 p.m. ET Tuesday and lasted 7 hours and 30 minutes, NASA said.

More than four hours into the job, the two astronauts had successfully bolted a replacement ammonia pump module into its location and were working to connect lines to allow the ammonia to flow, NASA said in a tweet.

There was a slight kink in the work when one of the fluid lines tangled. The astronauts untangled it, but when they did, the line released some ammonia flakes that landed on their space suits.

Susan Rice Calls Benghazi ‘A False Controversy’ (+video)

“I don’t have time to think about a false controversy,” National Security Adviser Susan Rice told CBS’ “60 Minutes” in an interview that aired Sunday.

Rice was talking about the September 11, 2012 terror attack in Benghazi, Libya that killed four Americans, including the U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, and her insistence five days later — on all five Sunday talk shows — that the attack was a spontaneous event arising from a little-known anti-Muslim video.

“In the midst of all of the swirl about things like talking points, the administration’s been working very, very hard across the globe to review our security of our embassies and our facilities. That’s what we ought to be focused on,” Rice told “60 Minutes” correspondent Leslie Stahl.

During a recent broadcast on CNN about the NSA and its spying on Americans citizens, host Jake Tapper claimed that US citizens prefer security to liberty.

“But the bottom line is, I think the American people, honestly, want security over freedom,” stated Tapper (video below).

While many people on YouTube were shocked and appalled that Tapper would dare make such a comment about American society, recent polls are pretty close when it comes to NSA surveillance.

The Thrill Is Gone: Chris Matthews Says That Obama Is Political Loser Of The Year (+video)

We don’t usually care much about what Chris Matthews thinks. He’s one of those jacka**es who cries racism when he has nothing intelligent to say.

But we think it’s interesting that the man who once claimed to get a thrill up his leg when he heard Barack Obama speak is now saying that the President is the political loser of the year.

All of this comes on the heels of Barbara Walters expressing disappointment that Barack Obama is not, indeed, the Messiah.

We think that there are an awful lot of lamestream media journalists who will be drinking quite a bit of eggnog this holiday season to cope with the fact that their hero, Barack Obama, is really an inept leader. The epiphany was a long time coming, but at least it’s arrived.

Senator Tom Coburn: America in Debt Crisis ‘Not Because We Didn’t Agree, But Because We Did’ (+video)

Oklahoma Republican Sen. Tom Coburn turned conventional Washington wisdom on its head Sunday, telling NBC’s David Gregory that “the reason we’re in trouble on deficits and debts is not because we didn’t agree, but because we did.”

Coburn appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press” with New York Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer to discuss the bipartisan budget deal that scuttled certain sequester cuts in exchange for spending reductions down the road. Gregory asked Coburn whether Republicans, in the wake of last week’s deal, would still demand concessions for raising the debt ceiling by next February.

Coburn opened with a subtle swipe at his own party. “I guess I can’t really speak for Republicans,” he claimed. “My thoughts are, the American people don’t believe we have a debt ceiling because we always increase it, and they don’t believe we have the discipline in Washington.”

Video: Greta Van Susteren Blasts Obama’s Press Conference: ‘You Just Want to Slit Your Throat Almost, it Was So Depressing’

Fox News host Greta Van Susteren expressed dismay Sunday over President Barack Obama’s performance at a Friday press conference, calling it “pathetic.”

“You just want to slit your throat almost, because it was so depressing,” she declared.

Van Susteren visited ABC’s “This Week” to comment on the White House’s latest Obamacare rule change released earlier this week. But what started as a conversation on the healthcare law’s prospects soon turned into an attack on Obama’s messaging.

“The president’s most powerful weapon as president is his ability to inspire — that’s his greatest strength,” Van Susteren began. “And then he comes out last Friday in the press conference. He was depressing, he was pathetic, he sucked the oxygen out of the room. The media beat up on him, the media had bad questions, they kept punching him. I mean, he ends the year where you just want to slit your throat almost, because it was so depressing. He’s completely lost his ability to inspire.”
