In 2022, when the public learned that the Inflation Reduction Act earmarked an astonishing $80 billion for the Internal Revenue Service, the corporate press insisted everyone remain calm.

The $80 billion provided by President Biden’s massive social-welfare spending legislation would be used only on the other guys, members of the press argued. You know, the millionaires and billionaires. Don’t listen to the critics, advised our commentariat. It’s a conspiracy to think an IRS wealthier by $80 billion will translate into an auditor-hiring binge and an overabundance of scrutiny and red tape for workers and middle-class families. Indeed, credulous newsrooms claimed at the time, the $80 billion will mostly address “workforce attrition.”

On April 7, 2023, Politico scored a scoop: The IRS is on track to grow its workforce to levels not seen since the late 1990s. So much for “workforce attrition.”

“The IRS aims to employ 105,187 workers by 2025, swelling the agency ranks by nearly 50 percent within three years to workforce levels not seen for a quarter-century,” the report says, citing exclusively obtained IRS projections. Commissioner Danny Werfel and the Treasury Department are looking “to transform tax enforcement and administration with a new $80 billion windfall provided last August by Democrats’ Inflation Reduction Act.” . . .

On another IRS matter, this week CBS News likewise scored a hot scoop: “Starting next year, a new IRS rule will require anyone earning over $600 on payment apps, like Venmo, in 2023 to receive a 1099-K form. Six More Bidens May Have Gained From Family Business Schemes: Comer; Guess Who’s Behind the 51 Intel Officials Letter Dismissing Hunter Biden’s Laptop?

By New York Post. Six more members of the Biden clan may have benefitted from the family’s various business schemes, bringing the total number of kin implicated up to nine, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer revealed Monday.

The findings come after the Kentucky GOP congressman and other lawmakers on the panel examined suspicious activity reports sent by banks to the Treasury Department alerting of potential criminal activity in transactions involving President Biden’s family.

“Thousands of pages of financial records related to the Biden family, their companies, and associates’ business schemes were made available to members of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, which confirm the importance of this investigation,” Comer said in a statement.

“The Biden family enterprise is centered on Joe Biden’s political career and connections, and it has generated an exorbitant amount of money for the Biden family. We’ve identified six additional members of Joe Biden’s family who may have benefited from the Biden family’s businesses that we are investigating, bringing the total number of those involved or benefiting to nine,” he said.

Last month, Comer announced his committee had found evidence that at least three Biden family members and two associates received payments that originated from China in 2017, fewer than two months after Joe Biden left office as Barack Obama’s vice president. 14 Million Cases of Type 2 Diabetes Linked to These Foods, Study Says

An estimated 14 million cases of type 2 diabetes were caused by a poor diet, a recent study published in Nature Medicine found.

Diets that lacked whole grains or had too much refined rice, wheat or processed meats were linked to the disease.

Those that included overconsumption of fruit juice or insufficient amounts of non-starchy vegetables, nuts or seeds also had some impact on diagnoses, though not as much. . .

“Our study suggests poor carbohydrate quality is a leading driver of diet-attributable type 2 diabetes globally, and with important variation by nation and over time,” said senior author Dariush Mozaffarian. . .

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health alerted the public that the number of young Americans with type 2 diabetes is projected to skyrocket nearly 700% by 2060 if current upward trends continue unchecked. Trump Could Be Eyeing This Woman for VP

Former President Donald Trump may consider someone like Republican New York Rep. Elise Stefanik to be his vice presidential pick, Trump insiders told the Daily Caller.

Stefanik fits the profile of characteristics Trump’s team will be looking for in a VP. She’s rallied behind him in his impeachment proceedings and the New York indictment, and was the first member of GOP leadership to endorse him for president — throwing her weight behind his candidacy before Trump announced it himself. Her commitment could lead Trump to choose her on a basis of loyalty, which those close to Trump say is the most desired quality in a VP.

“Loyalty. That’s the necessary characteristic of anyone who wants to be VP. President Trump and the movement was dragged down by disloyalty in the White House,” a source close to Trump said.

The Caller granted anonymity to some sources familiar with Trump’s thinking to allow them to speak openly on a sensitive matter.

How a 21-Year-Old National Guardsman Could Get Sensitive Ukraine Docs; Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Defends Alleged US Intel Leaker

By New York Post. Before the FBI announced it had arrested the suspected leaker of dozens of highly sensitive Ukraine war documents – some of which were created to brief the highest levels of the Pentagon – few would have suspected a 21-year-old National Guardsman as the potential culprit.

The FBI nabbed Massachusetts Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira at his mother’s home Thursday after he was implicated in the biggest national security breach in at least 10 years.

The junior airman is accused of uploading troves of secret and top secret documents to Discord, a social messaging platform for gamers, from which they were spread across several websites. . .

Though officials have not said whether Teixeira had a security clearance, his job as a cyber transport systems journeymen (CTSJ) may have required him to work with and protect sensitive communication channels.

That’s because CTSJs are the Air Force’s “frontline technicians and trainers,” keeping up the infrastructure of the military’s most advanced cyber networks, which are used to securely send and receive highly sensitive information. FBI Arrests 21-Year-Old Air National Guardsman Suspected of Leaking Classified Documents

By NBC News. Jack Teixeira, a 21-year-old member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, was arrested by federal authorities Thursday in connection with their investigation into classified documents that were leaked on the internet.

FBI agents took Teixeira into custody Thursday afternoon “without incident,” Attorney General Merrick Garland announced in brief remarks at the Justice Department, which has been conducting a criminal investigation.

“Today, the Justice Department arrested Jack Douglas Teixeira in connection with an investigation into alleged unauthorized removal, retention and transmission of classified national defense information. Teixeira is an employee of the United States Air Force National Guard,” Garland said.

Teixeira will have an initial appearance in U.S. District Court for Massachusetts, said Garland, who added that the investigation is ongoing. He declined to take questions from the media. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Defends Alleged US Intel Leaker Jack Teixeira

By New York Post. Far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Thursday defended 21-year-old Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira, the accused leaker of highly sensitive Pentagon intelligence documents, and said he’s being treated by the Biden administration “like a traitor and criminal.”

“Jake Teixeira is white, male, Christian, and antiwar. That makes him an enemy to the Biden regime,” Greene (R-Ga.) wrote in a tweet.

Greene, who is staunchly against the US providing military aid to Ukraine as it attempts to fend off a Russian invasion, has called the Biden administration’s role in the conflict in the former Soviet state “a proxy war with Russia.”

The Georgia Republican on Thursday praised Teixeira for telling “the truth” about President Biden “waging war” in Ukraine, suggesting that the Biden administration is “the real enemy.”

“And he told the truth about troops being on the ground in Ukraine and a lot more. Ask yourself who is the real enemy? A young low level national guardsmen? James O’Keefe released a video Thursday evening in which two female inmates at the Washington State Correctional Center for Women (WCCW) discuss male inmates allegedly abusing the system by claiming to be transgender.

O’Keefe said that WCCW has been “the tip of the spear with inclusivity in the prison system” as he went on to explain that OMG News went to great lengths to protect the identities of the two women by significantly altering their voices and blurring out their faces.

The video identified the inmates as “Inmate #1” and “Inmate #2,” and it was not clear how or when the interview was conducted.

“So, we have men rapists, men murderers, child rapists, men who have killed women and are in prison for raping and killing women who get put in our rooms,” Inmate #1 claimed. “Imagine coming into your room one day and you’re in closed custody and you turn around and there is a man standing there peeing in the toilet because you have the bathroom in your room in CCU. There is nothing you can do!”

“I know there’s some having sex with women — there was some, like, assaulting, but no one reported it,” Inmate #1 said.

We Can’t Believe This Biden Transcript Is Real…but It Is

President Joe Biden is doing his best to hold himself together during his multi-day swing across Ireland, but his best has just not been good enough. As Townhall reported earlier during the president’s foreign trip, Biden confused the New Zealand “All Blacks” rugby team with the “Black and Tan” who were officers fighting in the Irish War of Independence. Not great.

But now, an official transcript from the White House — a masterful piece of work by the stenographers — shows again just how coming-apart-at-the-seams Biden is when he’s caught without a teleprompter or prepared remarks. When Biden met with embassy families and firefighters in Dublin — joined by his son Hunter Biden — the president was asked by one child in the crowd about his tips for success. It did not go well.

Here’s what the White House released:

MR. HUNTER BIDEN: In the back. He’s got a question.

THE PRESIDENT: What’s your question?

CHILD: What’s the top step to success?

THE PRESIDENT: What’s the top what?

CHILD: Step — steps — step to success.

THE PRESIDENT: What’s the top step to succ- — to success?

CHILD: Yes.

THE PRESIDENT: Oh, well, making sure that we don’t all have COVID. What — why — what are we talking about here?

CHILD: Like —

MR. HUNTER BIDEN: If you can — what’s the — what’s the key to success?

THE PRESIDENT: Oh, what’s the key to success? You know what I found out is the key to success is? And I’m not sure I’m the best guy to explain it; these guys can tell you.

The key to success is whenever you disagree with someone, it’s okay to question their judgment — whether they’re right or wrong — but it’s never okay to question their motive. If you question their motive, then you never get to be able to agree.

For example, if you say to somebody, “The reason why you don’t agree with me is because you are stupid, you are bad, you are — you just don’t like the people I like.”

Instead of saying I just didn’t — just tell you why, I disagree with you because of the following things. Because once you question somebody’s motive — why they’re doing something — because you don’t know. In fact, what happens after that, you can never get an agreement, get together.

I learned that lesson a long time — I say to that to all the embassy folks, too — I learned that a long time ago.

Trans Perp Who Admitted to Vandalizing Catholic Church, Assaulting Worker Offered No-Jail-Time Plea Deal From Biden’s DOJ

A transgender perpetrator who admitted to vandalizing a Catholic church and assaulting a worker was offered a plea deal from Biden’s Department of Justice that recommended no jail time.

Maeve Nota, a 31-year-old individual who identifies as transgender, admitted to vandalizing St. Louise Catholic Church in Bellevue, Washington, by spray-painting graffiti, shattering doors, destroying a statue of the Virgin Mary, and assaulting a member of the church staff.

Nota spray-painted the outside of the church with profane and offensive messages, including “F*** Catholics,” “rot in your fake hell,” “kid groomers,” “religion of hate,” “rapists,” and “woman haters.”

Surveillance footage from the incident captured Nota kicking and smashing the two glass doors with a rock.

Nota attempted to flee the scene when followed by a church employee. Nota admitted to spray-painting the worker’s face during the chase. The employee also reported being hit by a rock thrown by the vandal. Judge Hands Desperate Alvin Bragg a Massive Loss in His Effort to Avoid House Investigation

. . .Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg was desperately trying to stave off the House investigation into the question of the political nature of his prosecution of former President Donald Trump.

Bragg filed a suit against the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), arguing the investigation was a “transparent campaign to intimidate and attack” his case against former President Donald Trump. He sought to get a temporary restraining order blocking the subpoena that the Committee issued to Mark Pomerantz, a former assistant district attorney in Bragg’s office who oversaw the investigation into Trump before he left the DA’s office. Bragg also tried to block the Committee from getting “confidential documents and testimony from the district attorney himself as well as his current and former employees and officials.”

Bragg is trying to do all he can not to comply, claiming he was taking action “in response to an unprecedently [sic] brazen and unconstitutional attack by members of Congress on an ongoing New York State criminal prosecution and investigation of former President Donald J. Trump.”

But the judge in the matter did not agree. U.S. District Court Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil, a Trump appointee, denied the request from Alvin Bragg for a temporary restraining order against Rep. Jordan. In the denial, the judge noted that Bragg didn’t even provide documents he should have to support his cause, including that “subpoena purportedly served on Mr. Pomerantz” as well as the “Declaration of Theodore J. Boutrous, Jr.,” which is mentioned in Bragg’s moving papers. Sounds like Bragg didn’t help himself, and the judge is chiding him for failure to have everything he should have had for such a motion.

America First Legal filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request that they claim resulted in discovery that the FBI initially obtained access to the records through a ‘special access request’ from Biden’s White House.

‘I called it the morning of the Mar-a-Lago raid. Biden knew everything!!!’ Trump’s middle son Eric Trump tweeted in response to the new report. . .

America First Legal, self-dubbed as a ‘long-awaited answer to the ACLU,’ is calling on the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) to turn over materials related to Biden’s involvement in the raid of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

In August 2022, the FBI conducted a raid on Trump’s residence in Palm Beach, Florida to obtain documents and materials he took from the White House when they were required to be handed over to the National Archives for preservation. Internal Emails Suggest Biden White House Was Involved in Mar-a-Lago Raid

By Townhall. Remember how insistent White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was that President Biden and the White House had no knowledge of or involvement with the FBI’s August 2022 raid of former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate? Or how many times Jean-Pierre emphasized that the Department of Justice was a totally independent entity operating without partisan political steering from the Oval Office?

Well, America First Legal now says an investigation they conducted has turned up documents showing that the Biden White House was, in fact, involved in the unprecedented raid on a former president. What’s more, AFL’s investigation also found reason to believe the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) misled Congress about its knowledge of how the raid was approved.

Through its investigation, America First Legal obtained internal NARA emails showing discussions of the DOJ’s “special access request” related to the documents that Trump is alleged to have kept improperly after leaving office in 2021:

One email from NARA’s General Counsel that was obtained states that Archives officials emailed former Trump administration lawyers “to tell them the Justice Department, via the Biden White House, had made the request.”
