As to whether that’s a good thing for Michelle Wolf, probably not. The latest B-teamer on “The Daily Show” to host the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Wolf managed to alienate pretty much everyone in the room with her bullying of White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the administration’s representative to the annual debacle.
However, while most of the criticism focused on the fact that Wolf decided it was cute to mock Sanders’ looks, few seemed to focus on the fact she decided to use a racial slur in her act.
“I actually really like Sarah. I think she’s very resourceful,” Wolf said. “She burns facts and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smoky eye. Maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s lies. It’s probably lies.”
“I’m never really sure what to call Sarah Huckabee Sanders, you know?” she continued.
“Is it Sarah Sanders? Is it Sarah Huckabee Sander? Is it Cousin Huckabee? Is it Auntie Huckabee Sanders? Like, what is Uncle Tom but for white women who disappoint other white women? I know — Aunt Coulter.”
Watching a wife and mother be humiliated on national television for her looks is deplorable. I have experienced insults about my appearance from the president. All women have a duty to unite when these attacks happen and the WHCA owes Sarah an apology.
That @PressSec sat and absorbed intense criticism of her physical appearance, her job performance, and so forth, instead of walking out, on national television, was impressive.
The White House Correspondents’ Dinner was a failure last year, but this year was an embarrassment to everyone associated with it. The filthy “comedian” totally bombed (couldn’t even deliver her lines-much like the Seth Meyers weak performance). Put Dinner to rest, or start over!

By Miami New Times. In 2015, Raquel Perera, wife of 17-time Latin Grammy winner Alejandro Sanz, debuted a school called the Rainbow Cultural Garden in posh midtown Miami. Speaking to Univision, Perera bragged that by immersing toddlers in as many as seven languages at once, the school would revolutionize teaching. Univision credited a New York guru named Keith Raniere with developing the unusual plan.
Fast-forward nearly three years, and Raniere has now been outed as the leader of an alleged sex cult called NXIVM, which is accused of blackmailing women and branding them with flaming-hot irons. Last month, Raniere was arrested by the FBI on sex-trafficking charges; an Albany home tied to the Rainbow Cultural Garden has been raided by the feds, while British authorities are investigating a Rainbow-affiliated school in London.
Now the State of Florida has ordered the midtown Miami school to shut down immediately after New Times brought the facility to the state’s attention. Florida officials say the school was not currently licensed to operate.
“[The Department of Children and Families] has no tolerance for any activities that put children at risk, including operating an unlicensed child-care facility,” David Frady, a spokesperson for the department, said Thursday. “DCF initiated a child protective investigation and ordered the facility to immediately cease operations this afternoon.”
Neither Perera nor Sanz responded to messages from New Times this week. But through a spokesperson, the school says that it is now owned by a woman named Patricia Pietra and that Perera is no longer affiliated with Rainbow Cultural Garden Miami. Samia Shoaib told Page Six on Saturday that Mack targeted her after the two met at a 2013 NBC audition. She was a very sweet girl.”
Shoaib went into more detail on Thursday, describing Mack’s attempts to recruit her to JNess, the NXIVM women’s group that Mack raved about on her personal website and in video testimonials. Shoaib told Megyn Kelly that, within days of meeting Mack, the Smallville actress had sent her “dozens of emails” and talked up her women’s movement. Jeffrey Epstein, a retired billionaire financier, served 13 months in jail after pleading guilty to one count of soliciting sex from an underage girl. At the time, there were more than 14 accusations from underage women that Epstein had had inappropriate relationships with them.
The story only exploded from there. Epstein was accused of romps with underage girls on his private jet, known as the “Lolita Express.” Bill Clinton has flown on the plane at least 24 times, once to Africa for a Clinton Foundation outing. Epstein is said to have placed hidden cameras in his plane and home in order to film and blackmail important people having sex with minors . . .
Two female associates of Epstein have been accused of acting as a pimp for him, procuring and grooming young girls to be his sex slaves. The order, dubbed the “Education Federalism Executive Order,” will launch a 300-day review of Obama-era regulations and guidance for school districts and directs Education Secretary Betsy DeVos to modify or repeal measures she deems an overreach by the federal government.
“For too long the government has imposed its will on state and local governments. The result has been education that spends more and achieves far, far, far less,” Mr. Trump said. “My administration has been working to reverse this federal power grab and give power back to families, cities [and] states — give power back to localities.”
He said that previous administrations had increasingly forced schools to comply with “whims and dictates” from Washington, but his administration would break the trend.

Archaeologists have unearthed the remains of more than 140 children on the northern coast of Peru in what appears to have been the largest instance of mass child sacrifice in the Americas — if not the entire world, according to an exclusive report from National Geographic.
The macabre discovery was made on a low bluff just a thousand feet from the Pacific Ocean, amid cinder-block residential compounds in La Libertad outside Trujillo, Peru’s third-largest city. It’s estimated that the children — and 200 young llamas — were sacrificed about 550 years ago, when the area was home to the pre-Columbian Chimú civilization. The Chimú was the second-largest empire in Peru before Spanish colonization, next to the Incas, who were also known to sacrifice children during rituals.
Until now, the largest incident of mass child sacrifice was believed to have occurred in the Aztec capital of Tenochtitlan — modern-day Mexico City — where 42 children’s bodies had been discovered.
Ongoing scientific investigations into the Peru site, formally called Huanchaquito-Las Llamas, are being carried out by an international team funded by the National Geographic Society. The team is led by Gabriel Prieto of the National University of Trujillo and John Verano of Tulane University. By The Blaze. . .In 2015, a 46-year-old Texan, Christopher David Dunn, was diagnosed with a noncancerous but otherwise unidentified mass on his pancreas. Though Dunn was fully-conscious and clearly expressing his desire to live, the Houston Methodist Hospital’s administrative “death panel” ruled to discontinue life-sustaining care.
J. Richard Cheney, the Meeting Chair of the Houston Methodist Bioethics Committee, sent a letter to Dunn and his mother, Evelyn Kelly, which read: “The Committee has decided that life-sustaining treatment is medically inappropriate for Chris and that all treatments other than those needed to keep him comfortable should be discontinued and withheld.”
Dunn was a former sheriff’s deputy and Homeland Security officer but had no health insurance at the time of his illness. Along with his family, Dunn filed a lawsuit against the hospital in an attempt to save his life.
“The hospital wants to turn Chris’ nutrients and extra air off and they are playing God. They want to kill my son. They say there is nothing else they can do for him, but I don’t believe that,” claimed Dunn’s mother. “When they found out that Chris did not have insurance, they said they were done.”

Fight over Care of Brain-Damaged Baby Divides Britain
By The New York Post. Alfie Evans does not know it, but he is the subject of a national debate in Britain, international diplomacy and a bitter legal dispute. He is held up as a tragedy, a beacon of hope and an object lesson. And he might not live to turn 2 years old.
The hospital and doctors treating him in Liverpool say that Alfie suffers from a degenerative neurological condition that is certainly fatal, that he is in a semi-vegetative state and that the only humane course of action is to let him die. His parents, supported by the Italian and Polish governments and the pope, are not convinced that he is beyond hope, or even that the doctors understand his condition, and they want to continue his care.
On Wednesday, the British Court of Appeal upheld a ruling that not only approved the withdrawal of care and sustenance, but also prohibited his parents from seeking treatment elsewhere, despite an invitation to take him to a hospital in Rome. The decision is wrenching to the parents, the courts have said, but prolonging Alfie’s life would prolong his suffering, and so it would be contrary to his interests. The German state of Bavaria ordered all government buildings to display a cross at their entrance, the latest move in the predominantly Catholic region against the recent influx of migrants.
“The cross is a fundamental symbol of our Bavarian identity and way of life,” said Bavaria’s new leader, Markus Söder, as he hung a cross in the lobby of the government’s headquarters in Munich, directly after the rule was passed.
The action, which goes into effect June 1, comes as Germany grapples with integrating more than 1 million immigrants, mostly from the Middle East and Africa. In 2015, German Chancellor Angela Merkel opened the nation’s borders to mostly Muslim refugees, setting off criticism — even in her own conservative Christian bloc — over the “Islamization” of the nation.
Hanging crosses in public buildings is “a visible commitment to the basic values of the legal and social order in Bavaria and Germany,” the state government said in a statement . . .

By The Daily Caller. The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence released its report on the findings of the Russia investigation Friday, which showed that FBI agents “did not detect any deception during [Former National Security Advisor Michael] Flynn’s interview.”
Flynn, President Trump’s first national security advisor, pleaded guilty in December 2017 to “willfully and knowingly” making false statements to the FBI during interviews on meetings he took with Russian Ambassador to the United States Sergei Kislyak. The report specifically highlights that Flynn pleaded guilty despite bureau agents determining that there was no “deception” in his interview.
“According to the charging documents, on or about December 22, 2016, ‘a very senior member of the Presidential Transition Team’ (PTI) directed General Flynn to contact representatives of foreign governments,” the House Intel report reads. “This request concerned a resolution about Israel[ settlements submitted by Egypt to the U.N. Security Council around December 21, 2016.
“Later, on December 22, General Flynn contacted Ambassador Kislyak and ‘requested that Russia vote against or delay the resolution.’ The next day, Ambassador Kislyak informed General Flynn that Russia would not comply with the request. Flynn and His Son Met with Russian Ambassador in December 2015
By Talking Points Memo. The House Intelligence Committee’s report from its Russia investigation published on Friday revealed another meeting former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn had with the Russian ambassador before he joined the Trump campaign.
Flynn and his son, Michael Flynn, Jr., met with Ambassador Sergey Kislyak at his Washington, D.C. residence on December 2, 2015, according to emails reviewed by the House Intelligence Committee. Flynn’s son described the meeting as “very productive” in an email to the Russian embassy, according to the committee’s report. According to the report, “emails indicate that the meeting was arranged at the request of General Flynn or his son.” Neither Flynn sat with the committee for an interview, leaving congressional investigators with few details about the rendezvous.
The meeting with Kislyak took place about a week before Flynn traveled to Moscow to speak at the Kremlin RT news organization’s annual gala. Smallville Star Allison Mack ‘Wants Plea Deal’ over Nxivm Sex Cult Charges
By News.au. Smallville star-turned-accused-sex-slaver Allison Mack is looking to cut a deal with the feds in Brooklyn, according to a new affidavit.
Mack’s lawyers and federal prosecutors have agreed to delay proceedings against her until May 3, because “they are engaged in plea negotiations, which they believe are likely to result in a disposition of this case without trial,” according to a document filed Friday.
Mack was the No. 2 in a sex cult run by Keith Raniere under the guise of his upstate self-help group, Nxivm (pronounced “nexium”), according to authorities.
Prosecutors say that Mack, 35, used her star power to lure young women into the group and that she and Raniere then forced the women to go on crash diets and “branded” them like cattle as Mack groomed them for sex with Raniere.

Gillibrand Rival Slams Her Father’s Ties to Alleged Sex-Slave Cult

GOP senatorial candidate Chele Farley noted that Gillibrand’s father, Doug Rutnik, was once a lobbyist for NXIVM and its founder, Keith Raniere.
“For Kirsten Gillibrand, the self-proclaimed #MeToo Senator, to claim ignorance about a notorious sex-slave cult, in her own backyard, is simply hard to believe,” said Farley.

Goodlatte was suggesting that freedom was under dire threat because Lynnette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson, two pro-Trump social media personalities most commonly known as “Diamond & Silk,” claimed they had been censored by Facebook. They had not been censored. Hardaway and Richardson’s claims had been thoroughly debunked. But Goodlatte and his committee nevertheless went on to spend several hours on the issue.
At times, watching the surreal spectacle unfold, it felt as if the doors to room 2141 of the Rayburn House Office building had transported those who walked through them to a place where facts came second to political narrative and outlets known for misinformation could be held up as gospel truth.
