Maricopa County Official ‘Horrified’ When Trump Called after 2020 Election

The White House made repeated calls in the weeks following the 2020 election. But the recipient, a top Maricopa County supervisor, was not keen to get involved with what he feared was the setup for a conversation about finding fraud that officials were certain did not exist.

Clint Hickman, a 56-year-old lifelong Republican who was chairman of the board in the populous Arizona county that is now the site of a controversial audit of the 2020 election, described the”horrifying” realization he had in early January after it was revealed former President Donald Trump tried pressuring Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to “find” the number of votes sufficient to eclipse the margin of President Joe Biden’s victory.

That call is now under scrutiny as part of a criminal investigation into Trump’s efforts to overturn the results of the Nov. 3 election in Fulton County.

Hickman says he ignored the calls from the White House. But like Georgia, Arizona was a reliably red state that narrowly went Biden’s way in 2020. Interviews, text messages, and voicemails obtained by Arizona Central show Trump wanted a chat — at the time when some of Trump’s most fervent allies were pressing members of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to question and stymie the results. Democrats’ Bid to Rewrite U.S. Voting Laws Is Blocked by GOP in Senate; Republicans Will Introduce Election Bill Requiring States to Maintain Ballot Transparency

By New York Post. An effort by congressional Democrats to rewrite U.S. election and voting laws stalled in the Senate Tuesday, blocked by a wall of Republican opposition.

The bill, known as the For the People Act, represented a breathtaking federal infringement on states’ authority to conduct their own elections without fraud — and one meant to ultimately benefit Democrats, Republicans have argued.

It failed on a 50-50 vote after Republicans, some of whom derided the bill as the “Screw the People Act,” denied Democrats the 60 votes needed to begin debate. Vice President Kamala Harris presided over the chamber as the bill failed.

The rejection forces Democrats to reckon with what comes next for their top legislative priority in a narrowly divided Senate. They’ve touted the measure as a powerful counterweight to scores of proposals advancing in GOP-controlled statehouses making it more difficult to vote.

“This is a battle for the soul of America,” said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. “We will keep fighting until we succeed.” (Read more from “Democrats’ Bid to Rewrite U.S. Voting Laws Is Blocked by GOP in Senate” HERE)

Republicans Will Introduce Election Bill Requiring States to Maintain Ballot Transparency

By The Federalist. Led by Florida Rep. Byron Donalds, Republicans are putting forth a bill Tuesday that seeks to address voting security and fraud irregularities in the wake of a controversial 2020 presidential election, The Federalist has exclusively learned.

The Vote Outcome Transparency in Elections (VOTE) Act would require states both publicly disclose the number of ballots in possession on election night, and mandates all ballots delivered by the United States Postal Service are postmarked. In the build-up to the election, many states changed procedures and policies, which Republicans argued were unconstitutional.

“The debacle of the 2020 elections exposed something troubling: the unconstitutional and unilateral changing of election laws by several counties and states across the country,” Donalds told The Federalist.

“The left likes to excuse these divergences from the Constitution because of the pandemic. We cannot ignore fraud and illegality, especially when it comes to the sanctity of our elections. The catastrophe of the 2020 elections must never happen again, and the American people must have faith in the security of our ballots and voting system going forward,” he said. Arizona AG Defends Maricopa Audit Against ‘Hysterical’ Criticism

Arizona’s attorney general today warned the Biden Justice Department to back off its criticism of the state Senate’s audit of the Maricopa County 2020 vote, charging that it was giving into “hysterical” liberal Trump haters.

“My office is not amused by the DOJ’s posturing and will not tolerate any effort to undermine or interfere with our State Senate’s audit to reassure Arizonans of the accuracy of our elections,” wrote Attorney General Mark Brnovich to Attorney General Merrick Garland.

“We stand ready to defend federalism and state sovereignty against any partisan attacks or federal overreach,” he added.

Garland last week mocked election audits like those in Maricopa County. “Many of the justifications proffered in support of these post-election audits and restrictions on voting have relied on assertions of material vote fraud in the 2020 election that have been refuted by law enforcement and intelligence agencies,” he said. WATCH: Senator Says Trump Would’ve Won if COVID Lab Leak Theory Wasn’t Ignored

Sen. Lindsey Graham said he believes former President Donald Trump would have won the 2020 election if his favored Wuhan lab leak theory on the origins of COVID-19 had been proven before the November contest.

The South Carolina senator made the prediction as he joined a cadre of fellow Republicans blasting health officials, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, and members of the media for once downplaying or outright dismissing the theory that in recent weeks has gotten a more serious look under the new administration.

“If Trump was right [about the lab leak theory], it would have changed the outcome of the 2020 election, I believe,” Graham told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Tuesday. “And if we could have proven that early on in 2020 it was a lab leak coming from China, not occurring naturally, the public would want revenge against China, and who would they turn to: Biden or Trump?”

“If it were known in February that Trump was right [in] 2020, I think he’d be president today,” he reiterated later in the interview.

Shocking Claim: Anonymous Remote Login Impacted Election System After 2020 Voting Ended

A lawyer who has been fighting for an accurate review of the 2020 presidential election results in Antrim County, Michigan, went on social media this week to charge the election system there was accessed by an anonymous user – remotely – days after the election.

Lawyer Matthew DePerno previously said the evidence appears to show the machines could have been accessed remotely through the internet, and there existed software in the machines that would have allowed manipulation of the results.

The county was where suspicions of vote interference were raised immediately because the GOP-leaning district was declared to have voted for Joe Biden last November. Officials later said there was human error and President Trump actually won. . .

Further, Michigan was one of six battleground states that drew charges of election fraud. Several states suspended counting on Election Night with Trump leading. Hours later, after massive ballot dumps that were nearly 100% for Biden, the Democrat took the lead when counting resumed. Fight Over Discovery Erupts in 2020 Election Fraud Lawsuit

. . .Attorneys for Antrim County and Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson are objecting to a proposed order from Matthew DePerno, the attorney for the plaintiff, filed after a judge rejected an effort last month to force a new audit of the results.

In anticipation of an appeal, 13th Circuit Court Judge Kevin Elsenheimer said it was is his understanding that all other matters had been put on hold for the time being and noted the court “will take all pending motions under advisement.”

The judge ordered DePerno to submit a proposed order on the stay, but what the attorney turned in “is not accurate,” Michigan Assistant Attorney General Erik Grill contended in a brief, according to the Traverse City Record-Eagle.

“The Court had stated that ‘all matters’ would be stayed — including discovery. But the Plaintiff’s proposed order stays only unresolved motions and would not stay discovery or any other matters,” he added. (Read more from “Fight Over Discovery Erupts in 2020 Election Fraud Lawsuit” HERE)

County Votes To Have D.A. Probe Election Machine Foul-up

With 2020 presidential election races in Georgia, Michigan and Arizona still under scrutiny, a new problem has developed with some of the same types of machines used in November, and officials in a Pennsylvania county now have voted for an investigation by the district attorney into the situation. . .

The Washington Examiner said the new situation is where voting machines provided by Dominion Voting Systems, which provided machines for some of the the states where results still are suspect, displayed “all ballots … as Democratic.”

Now Luzerne County’s 11-member council decided to ask for a review of the May 18 election controversy.

The Examiner said, “Councilman Walter Griffith, who proposed the resolution, claimed that many GOP and independent voters were ‘disenfranchised and concerned about the integrity of the election process’ when some left polling places agitated. The resolution, as described by the local news outlet, requests the district attorney look into Dominion’s practices and procedures as well as the election board’s actions in overseeing and maintaining the security of election equipment.”

The report said District Attorney Sam Sanguedolce conceded that a review might be appropriate. (Read more from “County Votes To Have D.A. Probe Election Machine Foul-up” HERE)

Judge Unseals More Than 145,000 Absentee Ballots For 2020 Election Fraud Investigation

After months of consideration, a judge in Fulton County, Georgia, has ruled that absentee ballots from the 2020 presidential election will be unsealed and examined for evidence of fraud.

Henry Superior Court Judge Brian Amero said in a hearing Friday that Fulton election officials will be required to keep ballots in their custody. More than 145,000 ballots will be analyzed. The decision comes on the heels of a lawsuit filed by voting integrity advocate Garland Favorito, who determined county workers may have recorded individual votes multiple times, and eight others. His lawsuit directly points to footage of the counting process and statements from individuals who observed the counting. There have been dozens of election-related lawsuits in Georgia.

“Georgia voters deserve to have confidence that their voice — and their vote — is heard,” said former Republican Georgia Sen. Kelly Loeffler, who lost her seat to Democrat Raphael Warnock in a January runoff election. “Unfortunately, the many irregularities we saw in the 2020 elections have eroded trust in our electoral process. We fully support the move to unseal and investigate absentee ballot process in Fulton County. Transparency is the first step toward restoring integrity and accountability in our elections, and we look forward to the investigations’ findings.” (Read more from “Judge Unseals More Than 145,0000 Absentee Ballots For 2020 Election Fraud Investigation” HERE)

Appeal Planned in 2020 Presidential Election Fight

The lawyer who’s been fighting for an accurate review of the 2020 presidential election results in Antrim County, Michigan, says he’ll appeal a judge’s decision this week to dismiss his lawsuit.

The extended interview with attorney Matthew DePerno is posted online at the Gateway Pundit.

In it, he explains that the judge dismissed the case partly because state officials said they already had audited the outcome.

But he said the problem lies with the details, because the secretary of state could define whatever she wanted as an “audit,” and that’s just not right.

“Presumably,” DePerno explained, state officials could require someone to fill out 50 forms in triplicate on pink paper, pay $50,000, and then they would go to five designated locations and look at one ballot and call that an audit. Campaign Against 2020 Presidential Ballot Recount Escalates

The Associated Press has characterized the Arizona state Senate’s audit of 2020 presidential election ballots in Maricopa County as an effort prompted by the “fraud fantasies” of Republicans.

The AP said the audit is “ground zero for former President Donald Trump and a legion of his supporters who have refused to accept his loss in Arizona or in other battleground states.”

But libertarian activist and political commentator Wayne Root argued the “over-reaction” by media and Democrats is a sign that they know something was amiss in an election in which Joe Biden’s victory in six battleground states has been contested.

“The fix is in. It’s crystal clear to me now, not only was the election rigged, but so is the post-election. It’s simple psychology,” he said.

“Just look at the absurd reaction, or over-reaction by Democrats. Would anyone dare ban the right to discuss a possible racist police killing? Can you imagine the reaction by liberals, black activists and the ACLU? What if the Minneapolis police permanently banned any discussion of the George Floyd death? What if every black American who tried to give their opinion on Twitter, Facebook or YouTube was banned for life? (Read more from “Campaign Against 2020 Presidential Ballot Recount Escalates” HERE)
