The Republican-controlled Wisconsin Assembly passed a resolution Tuesday to authorize an investigation into the 2020 presidential election that President Joe Biden narrowly won in the state.
The resolution, opposed by Democrats, is needed to give the committee authorization if it decides to issue subpoenas to compel testimony and gather documents, said Rep. Joe Sanfelippo. He is vice-chairman of the Assembly elections and campaign committee that would conduct the probe. . .

A Georgia judge said Monday he is inclined to unseal absentee ballots in Fulton County to allow a government watchdog to investigate allegations of voting fraud in the November 2020 election.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported the lawsuit filed in Fulton County Superior Court alleges fraudulent ballots were cast in the 2020 election and other irregularities occurred in the vote count at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s office investigated the claims and dismissed them. But at a hearing Monday, Henry County Superior Court Judge Brian Amero said he’s inclined to order a review by experts hired by voting-integrity advocate Garland Favorito.

More than 90,000 ballots mailed to registered voters in Nevada’s largest county were returned undeliverable, according to an analysis of the election data by a conservative legal group.
Clark County, which includes the Las Vegas metro area, made the extraordinary move to mail ballots to all the nearly 1.3 million active voters in the county instead of just those who requested them. The county justified the move as helping people vote remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic.
More than 450,000 voters cast their votes through the mail-in ballots. But more than 92,000 ballots were returned by the postal service as undeliverable, according to the Public Interest Legal Foundation’s (PILF) March 10 research brief (pdf).
The number is based on data provided in February by Clark County Voter Registrar Joe Gloria, the brief says. The Clark County Election Office didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
“Mass-mail balloting is a step backward for American elections. There are millions of voter registration records with unreliable ‘active’ address information that will ultimately send ballots to the wrong place in a mail election,” PILF President J. As if to put an exclamation point on a decision by the majority of the court to refuse to act on any allegations of fraud regarding the 2020 presidential race, the Supreme Court on Monday rejected, without comment, a few of the last remaining claims.
The court only a week ago had thrown out several similar cases and this week rejected two mandamus petitions from noted lawyer Sidney Powell, who has alleged a long list of fraudulent activities in the 2020 election. . .
She said, during an interview on Erskine Radio, on iHeart Radio, that the 2020 results come after “a complete breakdown of every institution of law enforcement and rule of law we have trusted in this country.”
The reality, she charged, is that there is “more than enough evidence in the public now to more than reverse the election in at least five states.”
The Gateway Pundit reported she said: “There’s all kind of precedent for fixing what happened in this election from Bush vs. Gore to other cases as well… Fractionalized votes. That’s exactly what we have here from a computer algorithm that we can prove in multiple counties and it could prove across the country if anybody would issue an order allowing inspection of the machines. A judge on Friday ruled that Maricopa County must provide some 2.1 million ballots from the Nov. 3 election to the Arizona state Senate and allow access to its election equipment to conduct an audit.
Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Timothy Thomason ruled that subpoenas issued by Arizona’s state Senate are valid and should be enforced, and he disputed arguments from Maricopa County officials saying the subpoenas are unlawful. The county previously stated that multiple audits have been sufficient and said ballots should be sealed.
“The Court finds that the subpoenas are legal and enforceable,” Thomason wrote (pdf) in his ruling. “There is no question that the Senators have the power to issue legislative subpoenas. The subpoenas comply with the statutory requirements for legislative subpoenas. The Senate also has broad constitutional power to oversee elections.”

The Democrat-controlled House took the first steps last week of adjudicating a contested House seat that may result in a Republican lawmaker being replaced by her Democratic challenger. . .
Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R) was declared the winner of Iowa’s second congressional district over Democratic challenger Rita Hart last November by just six votes — 196,964 to 196,958.
After Iowa certified Miller-Meeks’ win, Hart appealed to the House by filing a Notice of Contest. Hart’s campaign alleged that “the Miller-Meeks campaign has sought to keep legitimate votes from being counted — pushing to disqualify and limit the number of Iowans whose votes are counted,” the Iowa City Press-Citizen reported.
Hart claims there are 22 “legally-cast, uncounted votes” from her election — and, of course, she alleges that if those votes are counted, she would be the rightful winner of the contest.

By WND. Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon sees a brand-new path for his former boss Donald Trump to return to the White House in 2024 – after a two-year stint as speaker of the House.
“Trump is a disrupter, but he has a long-term vision because I absolutely believe in the marrow of my bones that he will be our nominee in 2024,” Bannon told a group of Boston Republicans at a Lincoln Day Breakfast on Saturday.
“He’ll come back to us. We’ll have a sweeping victory in 2022, and he’ll lead us in 2024,” he said, according to the Boston Herald.
Bannon suggested Trump could run for Congress in 2022 and then seek the speaker post, as Republicans are expected to regain the majority.

Donald Trump is toxic. The GOP is finished. Joe Biden won; he has a mandate — all of these things are false. Also, it would seem demography is not destiny and higher turnout isn’t an automatic lock for Democrats. We have another autopsy of sorts from The Washington Post on the 2020 election. Want to take a guess how many votes Republicans needed to control everything? One million votes, two million? Nope. It didn’t even break 100,000. It was 90,000 votes. Republicans just needed 90,000 votes to control all of Washington this past election cycle. Literally minor changes in the presidential, House, and Senate races could have led to the GOP coming into 2021 with a unified government. There are many ways to skin the electoral cat as some have said in the past. It’s not all grounded in the popular vote. The Electoral College strategy is different. Are we shocked that Donald Trump had fewer popular votes than Joe Biden? No, we knew this was going to be the case, as the areas that are fastest growing are typically Democratic bastions, which also do next to nothing regarding expanding the Left’s ability to reach 270 any easier. What about Florida? Yeah, the state has become more diverse for sure. It’s also more Republican than it was back in 2000 — go figure. Demography is not destiny and there are a host of issues where civil war can break out among Democrats, especially regarding who is filling the campaign coffers. . .
Anyway, here’s the breakdown of how close the Republican Party came to winning the whole show (via WaPo):
Republicans came, at most, 43,000 votes from winning each of the three levers of power. And that will surely temper any move toward drastic corrective action vis-a-vis former president Donald Trump.

While Democrat Joe Biden won the popular vote by more than four points and the electoral college 306 to 232, the result was much closer to flipping than that would suggest. Biden won the three decisive states — Arizona, Georgia and Wisconsin — by 0.6 percentage points or less, which was similar to Trump’s 2016 victory. If you flip fewer than 43,000 votes across those three states, the electoral college is tied 269 to 269. In that case, Trump would probably have won, given that the race would be decided by one vote for each House delegation, of which Republicans control more. . .
The number of votes to flip the result was similar in the House. As the Cook Political Report’s David Wasserman noted in light of Tenney’s win, fewer than 32,000 votes could have flipped the five seats that Republicans would have needed to win the House majority — Illinois’s 17th District, Iowa’s 3rd, New Jersey’s 7th, Texas’s 15th and Virginia’s 7th.

Maricopa County in Arizona will carry out a comprehensive forensic audit of its voting systems to allay concerns raised by some constituents about the integrity of the November 2020 election.
The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously at a Jan. 27 meeting to hire two independent companies to conduct an audit that will review whether voting machines counted votes correctly, and whether they were tampered with or hacked in any way.
The Republican-dominated board defended the accuracy of the county’s election results, while expressing hope that a comprehensive equipment and software audit would dispel concerns that the results were inaccurate. . .
According to information from the meeting, the “multi-layered forensic audit” will include a software, hardware, and financial review of voting systems. A vulnerability analysis will be performed, along with a check for malware and a test to verify that tabulators didn’t send or receive information over the internet. Additionally, a logic and accuracy test of the county’s tabulation equipment will be conducted to verify whether ballots were counted accurately and to confirm that no votes were switched. Attorney Sidney Powell on Friday was sued for defamation by Dominion Voting Systems for $1.3 billion for alleging the company’s tabulating machines were used to flip votes from President Trump to Joe Biden.
Dominion CEO John Poulos said on a call with reporters Friday morning that the “recent attacks on the democratic process are not singular or isolated events.”
“They are the result of a deliberate and malicious campaign of lies over many months,” he said, according to The Hill. “Sidney Powell and others created and disseminated these lies, assisted and amplified by a range of media platforms.”
Powell said via Twitter on Friday that Dominion’s suit “is baseless & filed to harass, intimidate, & to drain our resources as we seek the truth of #DominionVotingSystems’ role in this fraudulent election.”
