Dem Rep. Introduces Legislation to Sanction, Remove All House Members Who Supported Election Challenges

Rep. Cori Bush (D-Mo.) has introduced a resolution to have the Republican members of the House who supported contesting battleground states’ electors in Wednesday’s joint session of Congress be investigated and potentially removed from office. . .

The chaos led to lawmakers and members being trapped inside the Capitol, resulting in the mobilization of the D.C., Virginia and Maryland national guards. D.C.’s mayor also issued a 6 p.m. curfew for the city.

“I believe the Republican members of Congress who have incited this domestic terror attack through their attempts to overturn the election must face consequences,” the progressive lawmaker tweeted. “They have broken their sacred Oath of Office. I will be introducing a resolution calling for their expulsion.”

Senate and House Reject Pro-Trump Challenge to Arizona Election Results; GOP Senators Reverse Course, Drop Objection to Biden Electors

By The Blaze. Congress voted to reject a challenge to electoral results in Arizona in defiance of the chaos from the rioting by pro-Trump protesters who were trying to stop the vote that would secure Joe Biden as the 46th president of the United States.

The debate over the slate of electors from Arizona was interrupted when Trump supporters stormed Congress and overran several buildings. Lawmakers were taken to secure areas while law enforcement officials tried to regain control.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) later excoriated the rioters and announced that she had consulted with Vice President Mike Pence, among others, to reconvene Congress and proceed with the vote.

Law enforcement officials, including the Capitol Police and the FBI, cleared out the Capitol building and lawmakers filed back in to continue their debate over the results of the presidential election.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) used his time to blame the president for the rioting. (Read more from “Senate and House Reject Pro-Trump Challenge to Arizona Election Results” HERE)

GOP Senators Reverse Course, Drop Objection to Biden Electors

By The Blaze. Republican Georgia Sen. Kelly Loeffler abandoned her plans to contest the certification of some Electoral College votes for President-Elect Joe Biden on Wednesday night, citing the “siege” on the Capitol building by supporters of President Donald Trump ahead of Congress’ count.

But Loeffler was not alone. The unrest, which included the Senate chamber being breached and left one person fatally shot, caused more than one Republican member to change their minds on challenging the results of the election. . .

Loeffler vowed Monday during a rally that Trump attended to contest the election results. She said in a separate statement that she would issue her own challenge outside of a coalition of 11 other Republicans organized by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. On Tuesday, Loeffler lost her re-election bid to Democratic challenger Rev. Raphael Warnock. . .

At least 14 Republicans went on the record ahead of Wednesday saying that they would contest the Electoral College results in Congress, but a number of them reversed course along with Loeffler. According to The Washington Post, Sens. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) and James Lankford (R-Okla.) also stood down after previously vowing to join the challenge.

So did steadfast Trump supporter Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), who declared on Twitter that she would “vote in support of certifying the electoral college results” after being a part of Cruz’s original coalition. California’s 55 Electoral Votes for Biden Suddenly Targeted in Brand-New Action

A lawsuit accuses California officials of rampant election-code violations and fraud that irreparably contaminated the results of the 2020 election.

“The lack of integrity in our elections strikes at the heart of our republic,” said Joshua Kroot of Primary Law Group, one of the teams working on the case on behalf of the Election Integrity Project. “The failure to correct this problem immediately will do irreparable injury to our nation and devastate the credibility of all elections into the distant future.”

While more than 60 lawsuits have been filed following the Nov. 3 general election on behalf of President Trump, the complaint goes further, challenging the entire election procedure in California. It also is significant because it requires the decertification of California’s November election results, a move that by itself, could deprive Joe Biden of the presidency.

Biden is expected to get 306 Electoral College votes of 270 needed to win. But California’s lode is 55 votes.

Primary Law Group and another organization working on the case said the balloting in November was contaminated by “the expansion of vote-by-mail ballots and the changes in the law to send vote-by-mail ballots to all registered voters.” (Read more from “California’s 55 Electoral Votes for Biden Suddenly Targeted in Brand-New Action” HERE)

Trump Urges Georgia Election Official to Overturn Results; President Trump Goes Nuclear on Top Georgia Election Official

By Fox News. President Trump insisted that he won the state of Georgia in the 2020 presidential race during a phone call with Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger over the weekend, reportedly urging him to “find” enough votes to reverse the state’s results.

The Washington Post reported on the conversation, and obtained audio of the phone call, which they published in full online Sunday.

During the call, the president reportedly says: “All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won the state.”

Trump Goes Nuclear on Top Georgia Election Official

By WND. President Trump slammed Georgia’s secretary of state on Sunday, saying the top election official in the Peach State “has no clue,” as the commander in chief continues to challenge the results of the 2020 presidential contest. . .

Jason Miller, a Trump campaign senior adviser, tweeted Sunday the “full recording will show that @GaSecofState is still a hack, @realDonaldTrump is spot-on in his criticisms of the terrible job Raffensperger did, all of the officials running Georgia’s elections are trash, and @POTUS won the state. #MAGA”

“They published 4 minutes and 31 seconds – where is the other 35 minutes? @GaSecofState Raffensperger is a political hack who doesn’t care about election integrity, nor does he care about telling the entire story. Release the full tape!”

FLASHBACK: Democrats Object to Counting Electoral College Votes In 2000 and 2004 (VIDEO)

The last three times a Republican has been elected President of the United States, Democrats in the House of Representatives have brought objections to the electoral votes the Republican nominee won.

Democrats in the House objected to both of former President George W. Bush’s victories in 2000 and 2004 and President Trump’s win in 2016.

Last week, Senator Josh Hawley (R- MO) announced he will object to Electoral College certification, which brought swift condemnation from Democrats who praised their own party’s objections to GOP victories in 2000,2004 and 2016. . .

In 2005, Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), along with Representative Stephanie Tubbs (D-OH), objected to Bush’s 2004 electoral votes in Ohio.

Democrats praised Boxer’s move at the time, including Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL). Yet last week, Durbin described Republican objections as “the political equivalent of barking at the moon.”

Military to Get Involved in Election Fight? Living Defense Secretaries Say No

With Inauguration Day rapidly approaching on Jan. 20, all 10 of America’s living former defense secretaries are taking a stand regarding any potential involvement of U.S. military forces in determining the final outcome of the presidential race. And they’re all urging against joining the fight.

“Each of us swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. We did not swear it to an individual or a party,” wrote Mark Esper, James Mattis, Ash Carter, Chuck Hagel, Leon Panetta, Dick Cheney, William Cohen, Robert Gates, William Perry and Donald Rumsfeld in a joint op-ed published Sunday in the Washington Post.

“Efforts to involve the U.S. armed forces in resolving election disputes would take us into dangerous, unlawful and unconstitutional territory,” they stated.

“Civilian and military officials who direct or carry out such measures would be accountable, including potentially facing criminal penalties, for the grave consequences of their actions on our republic.” . . .

“Our elections have occurred. Recounts and audits have been conducted. Appropriate challenges have been addressed by the courts. Governors have certified the results. And the electoral college has voted. The time for questioning the results has passed; the time for the formal counting of the electoral college votes, as prescribed in the Constitution and statute, has arrived.” (Read more from “Military to Get Involved in Election Fight? Pence Breaks Silence on Election Challenge

In a statement issued hours after a group of senators announced they would challenge the official certification of the results of the 2020 election, Vice President Mike Pence said he supported the move.

The statement, released Saturday evening by Pence Chief of Staff Marc Short, said that “Vice President Pence shares the concerns of millions of Americans about voter fraud and irregularities in the last election.”

“The Vice President welcomes the efforts of members of the House and Senate to use the authority they have under the law to raise objections and bring forward evidence before the Congress and the American people on January 6th,” it added, according to The Hill. At Least 140 House Republicans Expected to Object to Electoral College Vote

By Breitbart. At least 140 GOP lawmakers in the soon-to-be 117th Congress will object to the electoral college vote on January 6, some lawmakers predict.

Congress will formally count the electoral college votes from each state on January 6, three days after the new Congress is sworn in. While existing members and newcomers of the House have released statements indicating that they will object, some lawmakers expect there to be “at least 140 Republican Members of the House” joining the effort in objecting to the certification of a Joe Biden victory:

Similarly, Rep. Denver Riggleman (R-VA), who lost his party’s nomination earlier this year, reportedly told Forbes that the number of GOP lawmakers united in the effort is “staggering.”

“140 certainly seems possible. … I wouldn’t be surprised if it were a little higher,” he said, noting that “pressure” is mounting.

“I would be getting pressure right now,” he continued, explaining that colleagues know the move “keeps their base happy, they know it’ll keep the conference happy and they know it’s not gonna win anyway.” (Read more from “At Least 140 House Republicans Expected to Object to Electoral College Vote” HERE)

Rep-Elect on Trump’s Electoral College Challenge: ‘There’s No Question in My Mind That I Think He Won’

By The Hill. Rep.-elect Burgess Owens (R-Utah) expressed his support for a challenge to the Electoral College vote that certified President-elect Joe Biden’s win, saying Thursday that there’s “no question” that President Trump won reelection.

Owens, who was endorsed by Trump, told The Salt Lake Tribune in an interview that he “absolutely” believes Trump won the presidential election, despite Biden being widely recognized as the president-elect since November.

“There’s no question in my mind that I think he won,” he said.

The incoming Utah representative’s comments come as Congress is scheduled to certify the election results on Wednesday, a move that several lawmakers plan to block in a long-shot effort to overturn the election.

Owens, a former NFL player, compared the fight to his experience in football, saying he plans “to leave everything on the field” for the president. (Read more from “Rep-Elect on Trump’s Electoral College Challenge: ‘There’s No Question in My Mind That I Think He Won'” HERE)

UPDATE: As of Saturday, 11 Senators join the effort to challenge certification

By Zachary Steiber. A group of 11 senators on Saturday announced they’re going to challenge electoral votes during the Jan. 6 joint session of Congress.

“America is a Republic whose leaders are chosen in democratic elections. Those elections, in turn, must comply with the Constitution and with federal and state law,” the group wrote in a joint statement.

“When the voters fairly decide an election, pursuant to the rule of law, the losing candidate should acknowledge and respect the legitimacy of that election. And, if the voters choose to elect a new office-holder, our Nation should have a peaceful transfer of power. The election of 2020, like the election of 2016, was hard fought and, in many swing states, narrowly decided. The 2020 election, however, featured unprecedented allegations of voter fraud, violations, and lax enforcement of election law, and other voting irregularities.”

The allegations of fraud and irregularities in the 2020 election “exceed any in our lifetime,” the group added, noting courts, including the Supreme Court, have repeatedly declined to hear evidence of alleged fraud.

The senators said Congress should immediately appoint an Electoral Commission, with full investigatory and fact-finding authority, to conduct an emergency 10-day audit of election returns in disputed states. Once completed, the states would evaluate the commission’s findings and convene a special legislative session to certify a change in their vote, if needed. U.S. Lawmakers Find There Were More Votes Than Voters; Joe Biden Calls Kamala Harris ‘President-Elect’

By WND. State lawmakers in Pennsylvania have discovered a serious problem with the 2020 presidential election.

In a report posted online, the lawmakers explain how they did extensive analysis of election data.

What they found were “troubling discrepancies between the numbers of total votes counted and the total number of voters who voted in the 2020 general election.”

They now are questioning “how the results of the presidential election could possibly have been certified by Secretary of the Commonwealth Kathy Boockvar and Governor Tom Wolf.”

The report explained, “A comparison of official county election results to the total number of voters who voted on November 3, 2020 as recorded by the Department of State shows that 6,962,607 total ballots were reported as being cast, while DoS/SURE system records indicate that only 6,760,230 total voters actually voted. Among the 6,962,607 total ballots cast, 6,931,060 total votes were counted in the presidential race, including all three candidates on the ballot and write-in candidates.” (Read more from “U.S. Lawmakers Find There Were More Votes Than Voters” HERE)

Joe Biden Calls Kamala Harris ‘President-Elect’

By The Sun. Joe Biden slipped up yet again and accidentally referred to vice president-elect Kamala Harris as the future leader of the United States.

Biden made the remarks early Tuesday morning while delivering a speech regarding the Covid-19 crisis in Wilmington, Delaware, before asking the president to recommend Americans take the vaccine once it becomes available to them.

“I hope the president will clearly and unambiguously urge all Americans to take the vaccine once it’s available,” the real president-elect said.

“I took it to instill public confidence in the vaccine. President-elect Harris took hers today for the same reason,” Biden mistakenly said. (Read more from “Joe Biden Calls Kamala Harris ‘President-Elect'” HERE)
