It’s Over: Koch Network Pulls Plug on Bankrolling Nikki Haley’s Campaign

While Nikki Haley insists on slow-walking the eventual suspension of her presidential campaign, one of her most important backers has confirmed that they have reached the end of the line.

Americans for Prosperity (AFP), which is bankrolled by the multi-billion dollar Koch network, announced that it was pulling the plug on financial support for Haley on the grounds that it is no longer money being well spent.

In a memo sent by AFP Senior Advisor Emily Seidel, first obtained by Politico, the organization said it intended to “take stock” of where the presidential race was going. . .

However, Seidel confirmed that despite their continued support for Haley, the money taps would finally be turned off:

Nikki Haley has shown us again and again that we made the right decision in supporting her candidacy and she continues to have our strong endorsement. She has made it clear that she will continue to fight and we wholeheartedly support her in this effort. But given the challenges in the primary states ahead, we don’t believe any outside group can make a material difference to widen her path to victory.

And so while we will continue to endorse her, we will focus our resources where we can make the difference. And that’s the U.S. Senate and House. If Donald Trump is at the top of the Republican ticket, the risk of one-party rule by a Democratic Party captured by the Progressive Left is severe and would do irreparable damage to the country.

Trump Promises to ‘Fight Even Harder for Christians’ During Second Term in Fiery Speech

Former President Donald Trump leaned into faith in his speech addressing the National Religious Broadcasters Convention on Thursday evening.

Trump congratulated the organization for its 80th anniversary and teed up the November election as “another struggle for survival of our nation,” telling the assembled attendees that “the greatest threat is not from the outside of our country.”

“I’m here today because I know that to achieve victory in this fight, just like in the battles of the past, we still need the hand of our lord and the grace of almighty God; we have to have that,” Trump said.

“Our country is being destroyed by a radical left, corrupt political class that has gotten communist, Marxist, and even fascist. I used to say we will never have a socialist state, and I was right; we passed over socialism. Socialism is a nice way by comparison to where we are now,” he added.

The former president also took jabs at his likely general election opponent, President Joe Biden, and said he has taken the gloves off since he was indicted last year.

‘I’m Not Doing That’: DeSantis Definitively Rules Out Rumored Next Political Move On Private Call

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) shot down calls for him to become former President Donald Trump’s vice president after his name was floated for the position.

In a private call with supporters obtained by the Washington Examiner, DeSantis shared his thoughts on the 2024 race as well as his political future. When asked who he believed would be the best Republican vice president, the Florida governor took the opportunity to swat down calls for him to be Trump’s running mate.

“People were mentioning me,” DeSantis said. “I am not doing that.”

Directly answering the question, DeSantis didn’t give any names but derisively said there are plenty of candidates “auditioning” for the role.

“I know some people are really actively seeking it. It seems to me, just from watching kind of the body language and stuff, that you have a handful of folks who seem to be auditioning for it,” he said. Tucker Interview Suggests America is No Longer a Democracy and 2024 Will be Stolen Just Like 2020

If you didn’t see Tucker Carlson’s interview last week with Mike Benz, you need to take an hour and watch the whole thing. In a mind-bending narrative about the emergence of what Benz calls “military rule” through an online censorship industry in the U.S., he lays out in startling detail just how corrupt and tyrannical the U.S. defense and foreign policy establishment has become.

Most importantly, Benz, the executive director of the Foundation For Freedom Online, explains how a constellation of federal agencies and publicly funded institutions, under the pretext of countering “misinformation,” rigged the 2020 election and are right now smothering the First Amendment and rigging the 2024 election through massive state-sponsored censorship online. The 2020 election and the Covid-19 pandemic, says Benz, were the “two most censored events in human history.” And 2024 is shaping up to be the same, thanks to the emergence of a federal censorship-industrial complex.

The problem here is profound, with deep historical roots that go back to the aftermath of World War II and the creation of the CIA along with a host of U.S.-funded international institutions. But for our purposes, it suffices to understand the problem in its two most recent stages: the period from 1991 to 2014, and from 2014 to the present.

At the outset of internet privatization in 1991, free speech online was seen as an instrument of statecraft. At that time, says Benz, internet free speech was championed by the U.S. foreign policy and defense establishments as a way to support dissident groups around the world in their efforts to overthrow authoritarian or disfavored regimes. It allowed the U.S. to conduct what Benz calls “insta-regime change operations,” in service of the State Department’s foreign policy agenda.

The plan worked really well. Among other things, free speech on the internet allowed U.S.-backed groups to assert control over state-run media in foreign countries, making it much easier to overthrow governments. The high-water mark of this way of deploying free speech online, Benz explains, was the Arab Spring in 2011 and 2012, when governments the Obama administration considered problematic — Egypt, Tunisia, Libya — all began falling in so-called Facebook and Twitter revolutions. During that time, the State Department worked closely with these social media companies to keep them up and running in those countries, to be used as tools for protesters and dissident groups that were trying to circumvent state censorship. Poll: 6-In-7 Voters Say Only Americans Should Vote in U.S. Elections

The overwhelming majority of general election voters say only American citizens should be allowed to vote in United States elections, a new poll exclusively shared with Breitbart News finds.

“We are just months away from one of the most important elections in our lifetime, and the security of those elections is under siege from an invasion of foreigners crossing our borders illegally,” Tea Party Patriots’ Jenny Beth Martin told Breitbart News. “Some of them could ultimately vote in our elections with few barriers stopping them.”

The poll, commissioned for Tea Party Patriots Action by McLaughlin & Associates, finds that 85.5 percent of voters said only American citizens ought to be allowed to vote in U.S. elections — even those at the municipal level.

Meanwhile, just 1-in-10 voters said U.S. elections should not be closed to only American citizens, and about four percent said they were unsure.

“It’s simple, Americans want to protect American democracy and American elections from the foreign interference of allowing noncitizens to vote,” pollster John McLaughlin said. “American voters want to protect their vote from being canceled out by the vote of noncitizens.” (Read more from “Poll: 6-In-7 Voters Say Only Americans Should Vote in U.S. Elections” HERE)

White House: No Cognitive Test for Biden During Physical Exam (VIDEO)

As skepticism grows regarding President Joe Biden’s mental fitness for a second term, the White House has suggested that he will not undergo a cognitive test during his upcoming yearly physical exam. This decision follows the recent conclusion of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s investigation into Biden’s handling of classified material, where it was determined that although Biden “willfully retained and disclosed classified materials,” no criminal charges were warranted.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre confirmed on Monday that President Biden is scheduled for his annual physical exam, though the exact timeline remains uncertain. When questioned about the inclusion of a “cognitive test” in the examination, Jean-Pierre cited Dr. Kevin O’Connor’s perspective, stating that Biden demonstrates his cognitive abilities daily through interactions with world leaders and the decision-making process on behalf of the American people.

Jean-Pierre emphasized that the president’s actions and decisions showcase his cognitive abilities, and Dr. O’Connor perceives the president’s operational and thinking capabilities through these activities.

Public polling reflects widespread concern over Biden’s fitness for office, with 86% of Americans expressing the belief that he is too old to serve another term. Additionally, 76% of respondents have raised concerns about the president’s mental fitness. Despite this, Biden has not undergone a cognitive test since taking office.

Speaker Mike Johnson Drops Video Calling on Republicans to Unite Around Trump After Massive Win in Nevada (VIDEO)

Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson is releasing a new video on Friday, first obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation, calling on the GOP to unite around former President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign following his massive win in Nevada.

Trump secured 99% of the share in the Nevada caucus on Thursday, where he essentially ran unopposed, after winning majorities in the New Hampshire primary and Iowa caucus in January. The speaker’s video compiles media reports from each of Trump’s wins and echoes Johnson’s previous calls for Republican unity to defeat President Joe Biden in November.

“It is more clear than ever before: President Biden must be defeated,” Johnson told the DCNF in a statement. “Following victories in Iowa, New Hampshire, the US Virgin Islands, and Nevada, it is time for Republicans to unite behind President Trump so we can focus on ending the disastrous Biden presidency and growing our majority in Congress.”

Johnson endorsed Trump for 2024 “wholeheartedly” shortly after he won the gavel with unanimous Republican support in late October.

All members of House Republican leadership are supporting the former president’s bid, including GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik of New York, Majority Whip Tom Emmer of Minnesota, Majority Leader Steve Scalise of Louisiana, National Republican Congressional Committee Chair Richard Hudson of North Carolina and Republican Policy Committee Chair Gary Palmer of Alabama.

Trump January 6 Judge Worried Trial Delay Will Cancel Her Vacay

DC federal Judge Tanya Chutkan has dropped a subtle hint that former President Donald Trump’s trial in the 2020 election subversion case may be rescheduled to take place after he potentially becomes the Republican Party’s nominee for the 2024 presidential election. Chutkan mentioned her plans to be out of the country later this year on vacation and expressed concern that Trump’s trial could impact that incredibly important trip.

Chutkan reportedly stated, “I hope not to be in the country on August 5,” before noting that her availability could change if she is involved in a trial in another matter that has yet to be scheduled on her calendar.

The Republican National Convention, slated for July 15—18 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is set to officially secure former President Trump’s position as the GOP nominee for the 2024 presidential election.

Simultaneously, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is pursuing an August 5 start date for a separate trial involving Trump and 14 others accused of attempting to allegedly unlawfully alter the 2020 election results in Georgia in the seemingly coordinated attacks against the former president.

The federal case against Trump has been temporarily paused as the DC appeals court reviews arguments from his legal team claiming immunity from charges related to official actions taken during his presidency. Even if the DC court rules against Trump, potential appeals to the Supreme Court could further delay the proceedings. Trump’s legal team also argues that the House of Representatives’ impeachment in connection with the January 6, 2021, riot constitutes double jeopardy for a multitude of reasons.

Last month, Trump’s team unsuccessfully sought contempt charges against special counsel Jack Smith’s team for filing court documents during a stay imposed by Judge Chutkan while the immunity argument is resolved.

Chutkan, an Obama-appointed judge, has indicated that she will set a new trial start date once the higher courts decide on the immunity question. Trump currently faces a total of 91 criminal counts across four separate indictments, vehemently denying any wrongdoing and entering a not guilty plea in each case.

‘With Trump, We Had Money’: Black Voters’ Views on Trump Could Signal Trouble for Biden (VIDEO)

A recent MSNBC interview in a barbershop in South Carolina provided insights as to how black voters feel about former President Donald Trump among a group of black male voters, potentially posing challenges for President Biden in the upcoming election. The voters cited their financial stability during Trump’s presidency, pointing to his successful economic track record during his time in office.

During the interview, conducted by MSNBC’s Trymaine Lee, two voters succinctly highlighted the primary reason for Trump’s attractiveness: “money.” The participants appreciated Trump’s reputation as a successful businessman and drew comparisons between his economic policies and achievements to those of President Biden. The voters also expressed a preference for Trump’s personality.

One participant, Thomas Murray, shared his perspective, stating, “Donald Trump, in spite of all the craziness he may have in his head, reading some of the things that he talks about with business, I can kind of agree with as far as business-wise. I’m trying to grow my business. As far as Biden, I haven’t seen Biden really care about business like that. And my concern is having my business so that I can build generational wealth, so my kids can see and have something to take upon when I’m not here.”

Another voter, Anthony Freeman, highlighted Trump’s reputation as “the money man.”

The interview shed light on concerns related to inflation and high-interest rates during Biden’s presidency. The Consumer Price Index, measuring the prices of everyday goods, reported a 3.4% annual increase in December, contributing to economic challenges. The Federal Reserve’s decision to maintain interest rates at a target range between 5.25% and 5.50% further underscored economic uncertainties.

Juston Brown, another participant, emphasized the appeal of Trump’s persona and the desire among some to emulate his lifestyle. Brown noted, “A lot of people admire the persona, and they want to be him. They want to enjoy the perks that he has. He seems to always be able to circumvent the rules.”

Kinard Givens, a younger voter in the interview, stated that many are considering or have voted for Trump based on the perception that “with Trump, we had money.”

Trump Secures Support From GOP Megadonors in Campaign Surge

Former President Donald Trump is making strategic moves to fortify his presidential campaign, with reports indicating that he successfully recruited several major Republican donors during a meeting in Las Vegas on Saturday. According to Politico’s Alex Isenstadt, three significant donors—hotel executive Don Ahern, casino billionaires Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta, and aerospace tycoon Robert Bigelow—committed to financially back Trump’s White House bid.

This development signals a focused effort by Trump to garner support from GOP megadonors as he sets his sights on the general election. The former president is scheduled to host a dinner with more than two dozen prominent party donors at the Palm Beach, Florida home of billionaire investor John Paulson, a Trump ally who has pledged support for the campaign. Additionally, Trump has a fundraiser planned at Mar-a-Lago in February.

“The quality of the donors is large gifts, very strong people who were very much involved in ’16 and ’20, some of whom decided they wanted to try something different, and now they’ve come home,” McMullen stated.
