Salt-N-Peppa hitmaker Cheryl ‘Salt’ James has revealed that early in her career she was pressured to get an abortion and said that her decision to have her daughter was the “best thing” she ever experienced next to finding Jesus.

The 57-year-old singer and her singing partner Sandra ‘Pepa’ Denton — from the famed female rap duo of the 80s and 90s — appeared on “The Tamron Hall Show” and shot down claims that women can’t be moms and balance that with a successful career, something they had both managed to do, Billboard magazine reported. . .

James admitted “they [the record label people] do get scared I don’t think I’ve ever said this out loud, oooh Tamron! I was actually asked to have an abortion — I won’t say by who.”

“Having my daughter, besides finding Jesus, is the best thing that I’ve ever experienced, my kids,” Cheryl continued. “Like, I needed that lil’ baby in my life, you know? Montana Governor Signs Born-Alive Abortion Bill After Voters Reject It at Ballot Box

Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte signed legislation to require medical care for infants born alive after botched abortions just months after voters rejected a similar measure on the state ballot.

The Infant Safety and Care Act holds that medical professionals must “exercise the same degree of professional skill, care, and diligence to preserve the life and health” of abortion survivors as they would when treating any other infant born alive at the same gestational age.

“We must protect the lives of the innocent — little babies who are born alive following botched abortions,” said Mr. Gianforte at Wednesday’s bill-signing ceremony.

“Today we’re giving a voice to the voiceless and help to the helpless,” he said. “We’re establishing in Montana law that a baby born alive following an attempted abortion is a patient, a human being who deserves lifesaving care and the right to life.”

The legislation was introduced shortly after the defeat of LR-131, the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act, by 53% to 47% in the November election, a major victory for the pro-choice movement following the fall of Roe v. Colorado Is First State in Nation to Ban Drugs That Rescue Babies That Moms Attempted to Abort

In Glenwood Springs, Colorado, registered nurse Katie Laven answers calls from people who’ve started the two-pill medication abortion regimen and want to stop the process.

“They are just in turmoil,” said Laven, who works at the Abortion Pill Rescue Network and answers some of the roughly 150 calls it says come in each month. “They feel like, ‘Well, maybe an abortion would make it better.’ And then they take the abortion pill and they’re like, ‘I don’t feel better. In fact, I feel much worse that I did that.’” . . .

But such interventions may be coming to an end in Colorado, which recently became the first state to ban abortion pill reversals. The Colorado legislature passed a bill to make prescribing any drug in this way medical misconduct, unless three of the state’s medical boards find it is a “generally accepted standard of practice.” Democratic Gov. Jared Polis signed the bill into law on April 14.

The bill also limits advertising by pregnancy resource centers, which do not offer abortions; rather, they are known to try to talk people out of getting an abortion.

The Colorado attorney general’s office, several district attorneys, the Colorado Medical Board, and the Colorado Board of Nursing said they would not enforce the new law until the two medical boards determine whether abortion reversal is “a generally accepted standard of practice,” The Colorado Sun reported. States Advance ‘Born Alive’ Abortion Restrictions

Two GOP- led state legislatures have advanced legislation that tightens restrictions on abortion with new “born alive” provisions that have enough support to override Democratic opposition.

The legislation in both states is similar to other “born alive” bills in state legislatures throughout the country that seek to protect fetuses from being aborted. Montana’s laws will take effect July 1; North Carolina’s bills are yet to pass the state legislature, though are likely to do so because Republicans hold a veto-proof majority.

In Montana, Republican Gov. Greg Gianforte signed five bills on Wednesday that would impose abortion restrictions. House Bill 544, the first bill signed, restricts Medicaid funding for abortion to only those procedures required to protect the life of the mother or if the pregnancy is the result of rape or incest, and only to such procedures performed by a physician. House Bill 862 bans public funding for any abortion in the state except those meeting these requirements.

House Bill 625, known as the “Infant Safety and Care Act,” is legislation that requires doctors to preserve the life of a child born following an attempted abortion, similar to a measure that Montana voters rejected in 2022. It mirrors several “born alive” bills passed by other Republican-led states and one passed by the current GOP-led U.S. House of Representatives. Republicans in Two States Block Abortion Bans

This South Carolina Republican Just Blocked the Bill to Protect Babies From Abortions

By Life News. Earlier this week, the South Carolina state Senate had a 2nd reading vote on legislation to make South Carolina the 16th state to protect babies from abortions. Lawmakers approved the bill by a razor-thin one vote margin and the measure was poised to pass and third reading and head to Governor Henry McMaster, who would sign it into law.

But Sen. Sandy Senn (R-Charleston) had other plans.

The Republican legislator got four other GOP lawmakers together and filibustered the bill, killing it for the legislative session and making it more likely that babies will continue to be killed in abortions in one of the most conservative states in the nation.

Three attempts to end the filibuster all failed unfortunately and the state Senate adjourned without a final vote on the bill.

Senate Republican Leader Shane Massey was disappointed after the vote and said it appears impossible that the Senate will pass the Human Life Protection Act (H3774) , which would protect babies starting at conception. (Read more from “Republicans in Two States Block Abortion Bans” HERE)

Republican Defends Killing Nebraska Bill to Protect Babies From Abortion: “I Don’t Want to Be Mean”

By Life News. A Nebraska Republican lawmaker is defending killing an abortion ban that would protect babies with beating hearts.

Nebraska could have been the next state to protect babies from abortions if not for a recalcitrant Republicans who sold out unborn children.

Republican Sen. Merv Riepe had cosponsored the measure to protect babies from abortion when their heartbeat can be detected, but yesterday he abstained from voting on the measure. That allowed a Democrat filibuster of the bill to prevail – making it so thousands of babies will continue to be killed in abortions until the legislature can try again next year.

Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz Now Sells Millions in Hormones to Mutilate Children

Planned Parenthood’s latest annual report reveals that the multi-billion-dollar business has diversified its portfolio beyond abortion, pushing deeply into the transgender industry by offering puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to young adults and minors — often while explicitly withholding this information from parents.

While the organization does not list the number of transgender procedures it carried out, it has acknowledged the number of people seeking such services numbers in the tens of thousands. Planned Parenthood also aims to turn teens into “fighters” for their cause, bashing “ugly” legislation that would prevent surgeons from permanently castrating minors, and proclaiming that its sex education courses contain the information America’s children “need to be free.”

These views show that Planned Parenthood’s dual embrace of abortion and transgender procedures is “much more spiritual than political,” according to an expert on applying the biblical worldview to contemporary events.

In its annual report released this week, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) announced that 41 of its 49 affiliates carry out transgender hormone injections and/or distribute puberty blockers — a massive spike from the 30 affiliates that charged customers for such work in the 2020-2021 fiscal year.

The report does not specify the number of transgender interventions committed in these offices. But at least 35,000 people nationwide came to Planned Parenthood to receive cross-sex injections in 2021, Dr. Bhavik Kumar, the medical director of primary and trans care at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, told NPR in February. Health Dept. Sits on Records Showing Two Babies Born Alive After Abortions, Three Women Dead

Indiana abortion records The Federalist obtained this week indicate that in 2022 three women died after abortion procedures and two babies were born alive after chemical abortions. They also suggest Indiana abortionists failed to report four abortions on girls aged 15 and younger, as legally required. One of the minors not referred for a state abuse investigation after her abortion, a violation of state law, was just 13 years old, the records say.

The Indiana Department of Health receives legally mandated Terminated Pregnancy Reports on each abortion committed in the state. More than 100 of these from January to November 2022 indicate that abortion facilities in the state may have committed crimes and health violations, according to recordkeeping from Voices for Life, a Hoosier pro-life organization.

IDH has shut down no abortion facilities since January 2022, however, even facilities where records show women died after abortions. As for the 22 abortionists named in these numerous recent reports indicating potential medical malfeasance, “I am not aware of any doctors who have lost their licenses,” Voices for Life Executive Director Melanie Garcia Lyon told The Federalist Wednesday.

IDH communications personnel did not respond to any questions about these records from The Federalist. . .

Indiana’s Republican governor and Republican-dominated legislature are poised to increase taxpayer funding for the health department by 2,000 percent this week, from $7 million a year to more than $150 million. IDH also pushed Indiana families into lockdown and covid testing chaos across two school years despite early-available evidence children were at low risk from Covid-19 exposure. SCOTUS Acts to Keep Abortion Pill Available for Now

The Supreme Court acted Friday to keep the abortion pill mifepristone widely available as a pivotal case works its way through the courts, Fox News Digital reported.

Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel A. Alito Jr. dissented. No justices appointed by former President Donald Trump publicly followed suit, the New York Times reported.

“As is common practice, the Supreme Court has decided to maintain the status quo that existed prior to our lawsuit while our challenge to the FDA’s illegal approval of chemical abortion drugs and its removal of critical safeguards for those drugs moves forward,” said Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Counsel Erik Baptist in a statement.

Baptist went on to explain that the case will continue on an expedited basis through the lower courts.

“The FDA must answer for the damage it has caused to the health of countless women and girls and the rule of law by failing to study how dangerous the chemical abortion drug regimen is and unlawfully removing every meaningful safeguard, even allowing for mail-order abortions.” (Read more from “SCOTUS Acts to Keep Abortion Pill Available for Now” HERE)

Disturbing: Pro-Choice Doctors Want to Train Physicians on a ‘Convenient’ Abortion Method

A group of abortion providers are pushing back against restrictions on the procedure by training primary care doctors a “convenient” abortion method that uses a “hand-held device.”

According to Fox News, doctors from the MYA Network are looking to train more primary care facilities to provide “manual uterine aspiration” using a small, hand-held device that removes a pregnancy “almost completely intact.” A New York doctor who provides this type of procedure has patients “in and out of the door in less than an hour.”

The doctor, Joan Fleishman, told The Guardian that she sees patients from all across the United States and from other countries, such as Ireland, Bahamas and Mexico. She is the co-founder of the MYA Network (via The Guardian):

They believe the took could be radical in the hands of more primary care clinicians – clinicians they are amping up to train.

The time to do that, they say, is now. The future of mifepristone, a major abortion pill used in more than half the abortions in the US, is in question due to a lawsuit brought by anti-abortion groups seeking to overturn the FDA’s approval of the drug. It could be determined by the same supreme court that ruled last year to overturn Roe v Wade.

Police: Woman Arrested for Shoving Abortion Pills in Pregnant Daughter’s Mouth

A Texas woman is accused of trying to force her pregnant teenage daughter to take abortion pills, according to the Laredo Police Department.

Juana Idalia Sanchez, 49, was arrested after officers responded to a domestic disturbance on April 2, the Laredo Morning Times reported Wednesday.

“A 16-year-old female stated that she informed her mother on March 30 that she was pregnant…Her mother got upset and asked her to have an abortion. She stated that her mother chased her around the home causing her to fall on her stomach…” the report states, citing an arrest affidavit.
