Kansas Court Blocks Ban on Abortion Pill Prescription Method

A Kansas judge has blocked the state’s ban on prescribing abortion pills via telemedicine, a move that could expand access to abortion.

Shawnee County District Court Judge Teresa Watson granted a temporary injunction barring the enforcement of a state law that requires physicians to administer abortion-inducing drugs while they are in the room with the patient, effectively preventing abortion pills from being prescribed through telemedicine, after Trust Women, a reproductive clinic in the state, filed a lawsuit challenging the ban.

It comes after the Kansas Court of Appeals sided with Trust Women this June, overturning Watson’s previous denial for an injunction.

The appeals court’s majority opinion concluded that Watson made flaws in her previous decision on the matter, diverging from “well-established Kansas caselaw,” and sent it back to the district court to rule on the injunction again, according to the Topeka Capital-Journal. Georgia Supreme Court Overturns Lower Court, Reinstates 6-Week Abortion Ban

The Georgia Supreme Court has reinstated the state’s six week abortion ban.

In a unanimous decision Wednesday, the state Supreme Court issued a stay against a lower court ruling that overturned the state’s 2019 “heartbeat” abortion ban. The order went into effect immediately, pending an appeal from state officials. The superior court of Fulton County previously overturned the law last week; it had previously been blocked by a federal court until the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade this past summer.

“The State of Georgia’s Emergency Petition for Supersedeas seeking a stay of the order of the Superior Court of Fulton County in [STATE OF GEORGIA v. SISTERSONG WOMEN OF COLOR REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE COLLECTIVE et al.] is hereby granted,” the court wrote in a one-page order. The decision of the court was unanimous; presiding justice Nels S.D. Peterson was disqualified, and justice Andrew A. Pinson did not participate. The court also dismissed a separate request for an administrative stay. ‘Pregnancy Is Not an Illness’: Doctors Sue FDA Over Approval of ‘Dangerous’ Abortion Pill

Four national medical associations and four doctors are suing the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) for “illegally” approving abortion drugs that they claim harm women, according to a federal lawsuit filed Friday.

The groups, represented by Alliance Defending Freedom, are claiming that, “the FDA failed America’s women and girls when it chose politics over science and approved chemical abortion drugs for use in the United States.”

The lawsuit alleges that the FDA had to designate pregnancy as an “illness” and the abortion drugs as providing a “meaningful therapeutic benefit” in order to get them approved so rapidly.

“Pregnancy is not an illness, and chemical abortion drugs don’t provide a therapeutic benefit—they end a baby’s life and they pose serious and life-threatening complications to the mother,” ADF Senior Counsel Julie Marie Blake said in a press release. Texas Man Accused of Drugging Wife’s Drinks to Induce Abortion

A Houston man is accused of trying to induce an abortion in his wife by putting drugs in her drinks, a felony offense under the state’s new abortion laws.

Harris County prosecutors recently charged Mason Herring, 38, with the new crime of “assault – forced induction to have an abortion” and with the assault of a pregnant person, according to KTRK-TV.

Authorities said that Mr. Herring put Misoprostol, a drug commonly used for medical abortions, in his wife’s drinks.

“It’s manipulative,” Assistant District Attorney Anthony Osso told KTRK, the Houston ABC affiliate.

“It’s premeditated. What we are alleging (he) did, which we believe the evidence supports, is a pretty heinous act. To do that to someone who trusts you, it’s taking advantage of that trust,” he said. (Read more from “Texas Man Accused of Drugging Wife’s Drinks to Induce Abortion” HERE)

These Pro-Life Republican Victories Show Abortion Radicalism Isn’t the Winner Democrats Want It to Be

Democrats wanted to make the 2022 midterms about the death of Roe v. Wade but several key Republican wins prove the left’s abortion obsession isn’t always a winning issue.

Vulnerable Democrats in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and other key states pushed abortion to the top of their campaign priorities heading into the midterms.

Democrats so desperately wanted Americans to believe that “the stakes of these midterm elections” rested on abortion that they poured hundreds of millions of dollars into advertising for pro-baby-killing candidates who voted to codify unlimited abortion — even at the cost of annihilating the filibuster. . .

Despite the left-wing party’s best attempts to take their deceptive operations in Kansas national, Democrats failed to make gains on abortion in several key races.

Senate candidates like Florida’s Val Demings and North Carolina’s Cheri Beasley, who spent months on the campaign trail touting unfettered access to abortion, fell short in voters’ eyes. And a whole host of GOP governors with a solid track record on protecting unborn life were rewarded with largely double-digit wins on Tuesday. Dems Won Independent Votes on Abortion; ‘Women Went Crazy’: Obama Official

After several surprising wins for Democrats Tuesday night, a former campaign manager for President Barack Obama said that the left can thank the issue of abortion for driving voter turnout and swaying independent voters in this year’s midterms.

Jim Messina, who worked on Obama’s campaign in 2012, told Fox News in an interview Wednesday morning that a large portion of Democratic women voters were driven to the polls out of “anger” in states that had reproductive rights on the ballot after the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn federal abortion protections this summer.

“Abortion is becoming the issue that is driving turnout,” Messina told Fox.

He added that based on several exit polls, Democrats won over independent voters as well, which “no poll saw coming.” (Read more from “Dems Won Independent Votes on Abortion; ‘Women Went Crazy’: Obama Official” HERE)

California, Vermont Approve Limitless Abortion Measures

Limitless abortion measures were overwhelmingly approved Tuesday in California and Vermont, paving the way to enshrine so-called reproductive rights for women into both state constitutions next year.

In the aftermath of the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade earlier this year, the decision to codify abortion went back to the states.

“The biggest battleground and the most significant war that’s taking place in this nation is the demonic murder of children in the womb, and California is leading the way,” Calvary Chapel Chino Hills Pastor Jack Hibbs told The Epoch Times.

So far, approximately 3.5 million California voters have favored Proposition 1, which changes the California Constitution to say that the state cannot deny or interfere with a person’s so-called reproductive freedom and that people have the fundamental right to choose to have an abortion and use contraceptives.

Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom, who signed 15 abortion-related bills this year with a $200 million state budget included, contributed $3.4 million from his re-election campaign on the measure. (Read more from “California, Vermont Approve Limitless Abortion Measures” HERE)

CNN: Democrats Have to Run on Abortion and Jan 6 Because They ‘Can’t Fight on the Economy’

A CNN reporter admitted that Democrats are being forced to run on the issues of abortion and the Jan. 6 rioting at the U.S. Capitol because the economy is so bad.

The CNN panel was discussing Democrats’ chances in the midterm elections when reporter Kasie Hunt made a blunt assessment on the only messaging available to candidates on the left.

“The one thing I will say is that if you talk to and you listen to what vulnerable Democrats, especially in House seats, are starting to say … is that they don’t feel that the party has really come up with a good economic message from the top,” said Kasie Hunt.

“And there also isn’t much of an acknowledgement that the policies of the Biden administration, including, you know, massive spending, first on their COVID-related package and then again on, you know, what they call the inflation reduction act,” she added. “A lot of Republicans are trying to convince— they’re spending a lot of money trying to convince voters that that’s why inflation is there, and Democrats haven’t really come up with a great answer for it.” (Read more from “CNN: Democrats Have to Run on Abortion and Jan 6 Because They ‘Can’t Fight on the Economy’” HERE)

Hollywood Actress Promotes ‘Mercy’ Killing Unborn Babies (VIDEO)

In Tuesday’s episode of “The View,” celebrity guest Anne Hathaway declared it can be merciful to kill one’s child.

“My own personal experience with abortion, and I don’t think we talk about this enough, abortion can be another word for mercy,” said Hathaway, adding that “no two pregnancies are alike, and it follows that no two lives are alike, it follows that no two conceptions are alike. So how can we have a law, how can we have a point of view on this that says we must treat everything the same?”

Indeed, Hathaway is correct that no two pregnancies are alike. Everyone is different and will face unique challenges upon entering the world. Thanks to modern technology, some mothers can detect what these challenges might be before their babies are born. Through prenatal testing, women can have a better idea of whether their preborn child is at a higher risk for a genetic anomaly, such as Down Syndrome (DS).

This advance notice, however, has led to genocidal abortion rates of children with Down Syndrome, with studies finding that babies prenatally diagnosed with DS are aborted at somewhere between 67 percent to 85 percent, and possibly as high as 90 percent, in the U.S. In Denmark, about 98 percent of parents whose unborn children receive a DS diagnosis choose to abort their babies. In Iceland, it’s nearly 100 percent.

Hathaway’s promotion of “mercy” killings is not new. “Mercy death” is the term Adolf Hitler used to describe “Aktion T4,” a mass-scale extermination operation of disabled people via poison gas. It is estimated that the murderous program killed about 250,000 people in Nazi Germany. Terms such as “mercy” killing and the high rates of discriminatory abortions should ring alarm bells for today’s leftists who purport to be extremely concerned about modern “Nazis” and claim to value “diversity,” “inclusivity,” and “disability rights.” (Read more from “Hollywood Actress Promotes ‘Mercy’ Killing Unborn Babies” HERE)

Report: At Least 10,000 Fewer Legal Abortions Have Occurred Since Overturn of Roe

At least 10,000 fewer legal abortions occurred in the U.S. in the two months following the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, according to a report by FiveThirtyEight.

The study, compiled by the pro-abortion non-profit #WeCount, part of the Society for Family Planning (SFP), noted that 10,570 fewer abortions took place in July and August than estimates from before the overturn of Roe.

The data compared the number of legal abortions across each state from April through August to illustrate the difference before and after the Supreme Court’s ruling. States that enacted more restrictive abortion laws in the wake of the decision saw a drop of over 22,000 abortions, while states that did not saw an aggregate increase of about 12,000.
