Abortionist Claims Gosnell Movie Is a ‘Safety Risk’ for Abortion Doctors

The independent true-crime drama about notorious abortionist Kermit Gosnell made it into the Top 10 movies at the box office this past weekend, in spite of its limited release and the mainstream media’s attempts to have it blacklisted.

Days later, Gosnell continues to perform well–according to Box Office Mojo, the movie climbed even higher, reaching number 9 this week. . .

But in spite of the crowd-funded film’s strong success with audiences around the country, a prominent abortionist is sounding the alarm about Gosnell, calling the movie a “safety risk” for abortion doctors like himself.

In a scathing Wednesday op-ed for the Huffington Post, titled “Anti-Choice Activists Want You to Hate Abortion Providers Like Me,” abortionist Willie J. Parker called the film “a ripe opportunity for anti-choicers to peddle a familiar conspiracy theory about abortion clinics.”

“The movie’s title,” Dr. Parker wrote, “and the inflammatory and dehumanizing rhetoric of its promotional materials are disturbing. The film is deeply offensive and exploits the pain and suffering of women. The project seems designed to arouse outrage against doctors who provide safe and legal abortion care, and I believe it creates a safety risk for physicians, clinicians, clinic staff, clinic escorts and my patients.” (Read more from “Abortionist Claims Gosnell Movie Is a ‘Safety Risk’ for Abortion Doctors” HERE)

Court: Obama Admin Dodged State Laws to Get Illegal Minors Abortions

Last week, a federal judge in California dismissed a lawsuit the American Civil Liberties Union had filed in 2016 challenging the government’s award of grants to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to provide services to unaccompanied minor illegal aliens and trafficking victims. In the lawsuit, the ACLU argued the grants violated the Establishment Clause because the Department of Health and Human Services allowed the Catholic organization (and its sub-grantees) to deny girls and women in their care contraceptives and abortion.

The court rejected the ACLU’s Establishment Clause claim in a methodical 34-page opinion, explaining that the federal funds were not used to endorse or advance religion. Further, as the San Francisco-based federal judge stressed, the government would transfer minors to other facilities if there were a conflict between the services sought and the religious tenets of the organization running the shelter.

uried in the middle of the court’s analysis was a shocking revelation: Obama administration officials transported pregnant minors in federal custody to New Mexico to obtain abortions in order to circumvent parental consent laws in other states.

An email exchange between two Health and Human Services employees in April 2014 exposed this disturbing fact. In discussing Maria, a pregnant minor held at a temporary shelter, possibly in Texas or Florida—the workers noted that Maria stated she wanted an abortion and did not want her parents to know that she was pregnant. At the time, Maria’s parents, who were to be her sponsors, were located in Florida. Maria was in the custody of the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement.

After learning Maria had requested an abortion, according to government emails, “two ORR field specialists looked into the abortion laws in both Texas and Florida and reported that the general rule in both states was that minors could not have abortions without parental consent (absent exceptions, such as obtaining a waiver from a judge).” The Texas field specialist then emailed other ORR staff members, explaining: “This is why termination of pregnancies are done in New Mexico due to the fact that currently (by law) there is no parental consent requirement.” (Read more from “Court: Obama Admin Dodged State Laws to Get Illegal Minors Abortions” HERE)

Professors Bully Student Into Silence After She Brought up Abortion in Class

Two profs at the University of the Fraser Valley browbeat a Christian student for almost an hour for bringing up abortion in the classroom.

Then-student Valerie Flokstra secretly recorded that meeting which took place last year. Former classmates who recently heard that recording were shocked by what they heard and urged her to make it public. A full transcript of the recording she made of her meeting with the two profs is available on National Campus Life Network’s blog.

Professor Nancy Norman and Department Head Vandy Britton ultimately told Flokstra that speaking about abortion made the classroom “unsafe.”

“So we don’t put forward ideas that are… intentionally or not… that are hateful. And I think sometimes abortion is one of those contentious issues that can make someone feel threatened on both sides,” said Britton.

Flokstra said that such comments made it appear as if the “program is about feeling safe” instead “about learning.” She said that she thought universities were “supposed to be places with freedom of speech and sharing ideas.” (Read more from “Professors Bully Student Into Silence After She Brought up Abortion in Class” HERE)

Man Caught on Video Kicking Pro-Life Woman During Peaceful Protest

Marie-Claire Bissonnette, a pro-life activist, was kicked by a pro-abortion man during the peaceful “Life Chain” event held across Canada Sunday. The altercation was caught on video and brought to the attention of Canadian authorities who, Bissonnette says, initially shrugged off the assault despite the video evidence she showed them.

“I warned people to shield their signs, he then proceeded to run up behind five of the participants (including a ten-year-old girl) and scribble with his markers on their backs, ruining their clothing,” she wrote. . .

As the video she took shows, he then asked her about abortion in cases of rape. When she answered that a woman should keep the baby, he roundhouse kicked her in the shoulder, knocking her phone to the ground. . .

The man was later identified as Jordan Hunt, a hair stylist for Noble Studio 101. . .

“It has been brought to our attention that Jordan Hunt has been caught on camera assaulting an innocent bystander at a pro-life rally,” they wrote. “We don’t condone his actions and he has been let go. We believe that everyone has a right to an opinion and the right to voice their opinion without fear of physical violence.” (Read more from “Man Caught on Video Kicking Pro-Life Woman During Peaceful Protest” HERE)

Trump Admin Continues Pro-Life Agenda, Cancels Contract to Buy Aborted Baby Parts

The Trump administration has severed its connection with a company that was linked to the scandal in which Planned Parenthood harvested the parts of aborted children to sell to researchers.

The Department of Health and Human Services announced the decision on Monday.

“After a recent review of a contract between Advanced Bioscience Resources, Inc. and the Food and Drug Administration to provide human fetal tissue to develop testing protocols, HHS was not sufficiently assured that the contract included the appropriate protections applicable to fetal tissue research or met all other procurement requirements. As a result, that contract has been terminated,” HHS said in a statement.

The company was working with the Food and Drug Administration, NBC reported, in a deal that became public in August, creating a firestorm of protest from some pro-life groups.

Last week, 85 members of Congress made their concerns about the contract known to FDA Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb.

“We are alarmed that the FDA has continued to award contracts to ABR for the procurement of human fetal tissue,” the letter said.

“Unborn children are not commodities to be bought and sold,” it continued. “The practice of conducting research using the body parts of children whose lives have been violently ended by abortion is abhorrent.”

The statement issued to announce the end of the ABR contract said HHS is reviewing all aspects of its human fetal tissue purchases “to ensure conformity with procurement and human fetal tissue research laws and regulations.”

HHS also said it was “continuing to review whether adequate alternatives exist to the use of human fetal tissue in HHS funded research and will ensure that efforts to develop such alternatives are funded and accelerated.”

The announcement was received with mixed grades by David Daleiden at the Center for Medical Progress, which in 2015 produced a series of undercover videos showing the extent of Planned Parenthood’s involvement in selling the parts of the children who were aborted.

“So long as HHS trades taxpayer dollars for freshly-aborted baby body parts, the U.S. government is setting its own abortion quotas and sending the message that these children are worth more dead than alive,” he said in a statement, which said the contract with ABR “never should have been signed in the first place.”

“HHS has taken a small first step to stop the epidemic of trafficking tiny baby hearts, lungs, livers, and brains from late-term abortion clinics into government-sponsored laboratories for taxpayer-funded experimentation,” the statement said.

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List, said the action is a good step, but many more are needed.

“Canceling a single contract and conducting a review is a small step forward, but overall is completely inadequate,” she said.

In 2017, the Justice Department began investigating Planned Parenthood’s sales of fetal issue, The New York Times reported.

Daleiden said that the Justice Department must finish the job HHS started and “follow through on the criminal referrals” for entities that were selling fetal tissue from aborted children. Walsh: People Are Mad That I Called Chelsea Clinton a Satanist. I’d Like to Issue No Apology.

Last week, rabid pro-abortion advocate Chelsea Clinton claimed that it would be “unchristian” to protect babies from being killed. Here’s her exact quote, referring to the possibility of overturning Roe: “That’s unconscionable to me, and also, I’m sure that this will unleash another wave of hate in my direction, but as a deeply religious person, it’s also unchristian to me.”

On Twitter the next day, I said that it makes sense for her to support child murder as a “religious person” because her religion is satanism. She responded, twice, insisting that she’s a “Methodist” who feels that banning abortion would be “awful” and “anathema to her as a person and a Christian.”

Now that I’ve had some time to reflect upon my harsh and insulting words about this woman, I would like to officially not apologize for them. I sincerely believe she is a satanist and my only regret is that I didn’t also call her a heretic. “Satanic heretic” would have been a more apt description. And she is far from the only satanic heretic in our culture.

Pro-abortion “Christians” are heretics because they claim a God who endorses violence against children. Well, I suppose that’s blasphemy as well as heresy. Perhaps “blasphemous satanic heretic” is the technically correct term, but after a while it just gets redundant. The point is that Jesus Christ is the Lord of Life. He gives life to our children and commands us to care for the precious gift He has bestowed. It is the most twisted kind of heresy to suggest that God may breathe life into your child and then raise no objection if you crush the child’s skull and throw his body in a medical waste dumpster. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,” says the Book of Jeremiah. “Children are a gift from the Lord,” says Psalm 127.

Pro-abortion “Christians” like to say that the Bible doesn’t specifically prohibit abortion. Yes, it does: “Thou shalt not murder” is clear enough. Must Scripture go into specifics about every possible form of murder? There’s nothing in the Ten Commandments specifically saying that I can’t beat my neighbor to death with a shovel. But I think that scenario fits under the “don’t murder” umbrella, as does the direct killing of humans in the womb. (Read more from “Walsh: People Are Mad That I Called Chelsea Clinton a Satanist. Christian Blogger Gets Death Threats Over Pro-Life Tweet

Fox News guest and PJ Media contributor Denise McAllister is reportedly receiving death and rape threats. Her crime? Sending out a pro-life tweet. . .

“The root of abortion hysteria is women’s unhinged desire for irresponsible sex. Sex is their god. Abortion is their sacrament. It’s abhorrent as women have flung themselves from the heights of being the world’s civilized force to the muck and mire of dehumanizing depravity.”

The Christian blogger reports subsequently being attacked across multiple social media platforms, and her private email inbox. On September 10, she tweeted “Due to threats against my life, my family is asking that I stay off social media until the situation is resolved. I don’t want to, but I need to respect their wishes at this time. I hope to return soon. Keep up the good fight, my friends.”

“I am facing legit death & rape threats because I have dared to call out women who are hysterical about abortion and to challenge them to be responsible and not to elevate sex to the point that they’re willing to kill human life to avoid their responsibilities,” McAllister said. “How sick is that?” . . .

Back in January, Elizabeth Johnston, otherwise known as Activist Mommy, was threatened on Facebook. Johnston, a popular Christian blogger and homeschooling mother, is known for her viral rants. But then she started receiving death threats. (Read more from “Christian Blogger Gets Death Threats Over Pro-Life Tweet” HERE)

Here’s How Some Liberals Describe the Issue of Abortion

By Townhall. As liberal legislators vociferously oppose the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, they have pointed to abortion and Roe v. Wade. Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) recently asserted that the landmark abortion case pertains to the issues of individual liberty and the limitation of governmental involvement in people’s lives:

“Roe v. Wade isn’t just about women, it’s about personal liberty & limits on a government’s ability to interfere in intimate, personal decisions ALL Americans make,” Feinstein tweeted. “Brett Kavanaugh could be the vote to overturn Roe and all the progress we’ve made. #WhatsAtStake” . . .

In a tweet expressing congratulations to Planned Parenthood’s new president, Rep. Nydia Velazquez (D-NY) described “the right to a safe abortion” as a form of “health care.” . . .

“Congratulations to @DrLeanaWen on being named the President of @PPFA. We’re at a pivotal moment in the fight for women’s reproductive rights & I look forward to partnering to ensure that all women receive the health care they deserve, including the right to a safe abortion,” she tweeted. Pro-Abortion Doctor Was “Horrified” After Seeing Aborted Baby’s Hand, Becomes Pro-Life

By Life Site News. . .Chapman was an OB/GYN practicing in England before abortion was legal. She had no personal experience with abortion, and pro-abortion propaganda swayed her toward the mindset of supporting abortion. . .

“In those days, I thought that women only had terminations in cases of rape, incest, chronic and serious health conditions, or if made to have abortions by vicious and uncaring husbands. I thought the decision was a private matter between the woman and her doctor and the doctor always knew best…. I believed in a woman’s right to choose, and to have reproductive freedom.”

Despite this misinformation, Chapman only recognized what an abortion did when she was asked to examine a woman who had just had a D&C procedure. Used to treat various problems such as miscarriages, fibroids, polyps and uterine cancer, the procedure involves scraping the lining of a woman’s uterus and removing the tissue. When a woman is pregnant, however, a D&C aborts the unborn child.

“I carried out an internal examination and was shocked, indeed horrified, to feel a tiny baby’s hand in the vagina. ‘You were pregnant!’ I screamed. ‘No, I wasn’t,’ she replied. Her denial, and the duplicity of the doctor who admitted her for a ‘D&C’ stunned me. The scales fell from my eyes and I realized, for the first time, that abortion consisted of the dismembering of a living human being, and was not, as the media was pleased to say, the scraping out of a few cells and some blood.”

When Chapman saw the child’s hand, she said her life was changed forever. She became pro-life, refusing to perform abortions even when threatened with the loss of her job. She went on to write “Abortion: The Patient’s and the Doctor’s Dilemma” in 2007 and continues to work with women and discuss life-affirming options that do not involve aborting their own child. Federal Appeals Court Rules in Favor of State Abortion Restrictions

By Townhall. The 8th circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals reversed a 2017 court ruling that would block reasonable restrictions on abortion clinics. The federal appeals court ruled that abortion clinics need to be surgically licensed, equipped with the same equipment as a hospital’s surgical wing, and the doctors performing abortions must have medical privileges with a local hospital.

This decision comes out of a lawsuit filed by Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider; the organization argued that the restrictions, which were proposed to ensure high health standards were met in abortion clinics and that the health of women obtaining abortions was protected.

Federal Judges Allow Missouri to Enforce Abortion Rules

By AP. Federal appeals court judges have ruled to lift a preliminary injunction that blocked Missouri from enforcing some abortion restrictions.

Planned Parenthood says the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals’ Monday ruling could end abortions at the Columbia clinic in weeks. That could leave a St. Louis Planned Parenthood site as the only abortion clinic in the state.

Planned Parenthood Great Plains General Counsel Emily Wales says there’s at least a two-week delay for the ruling to take effect. (Read more from “Federal Judges Allow Missouri to Enforce Abortion Rules” HERE)

Pro-Lifer Accuses Shout Your Abortion of Stealing Her Photo for Piece Bragging About Abortions

The pro-abortion “Shout Your Abortion” campaign is under fire for using a photo of a pro-life woman without her consent for a piece in which a different young woman takes pride in having had three abortions by age 23.

As covered last week by LifeSiteNews, the original essay was titled “I am 23 and I have had 3 abortions. YES I HAVE!” and appeared under the name “Heather.” The author details having two abortions after casual sexual encounters in which she used no birth control whatsoever, and a third after her birth control pill failed and she ultimately decided to abort because pregnancy would interfere with a summer job at a national park. . .

24-year-old Molly Schaap subsequently reached out to LifeSiteNews and other pro-life outlets to declare that she was actually the woman in the header image … but she was pro-life, had never had an abortion, and did not give Shout Your Abortion permission to use her photo.

“I was horrified to wake up yesterday and learn that a photo of me was stolen and used without my permission or knowledge,” Shaap wrote, noting that “Heather” says “she is proud of who she is and her actions, yet she used a picture of a random stranger instead of herself.”

“All of my life, I have been pro-life and believe that life begins at conception,” Schaap declared. “I have personally donated to pro-life causes and believe that every life is valuable. As a Christian, I believe that God is the author of life, and life is not ours to take away.” (Read more from “Pro-Lifer Accuses Shout Your Abortion of Stealing Her Photo for Piece Bragging About Abortions” HERE)
