Fearing Overturn of Roe v. Wade, Hollywood Gears up to Release Pro-Abortion Movies

Hollywood film directors have begun production on several pro-abortion movies they say will help change the minds of viewers when it comes to women’s reproductive rights. . .

Cait Cortelyou, an independent filmmaker who is currently developing a movie titled “Ask for Jane” about a pre-Roe v. Wade underground abortion network, said making her film became a “revolutionary act” after the 2016 election. . .

Amazon Studios announced in May that another film titled “This is Jane” starring Michelle Williams about women who provided abortions in the years leading up to Roe v. Wade will soon start production. . .

[Conservative filmmaker Nick Loeb on his upcoming film:]

“He committed over 70,000 abortions and was leader in the pro-choice movement. He realized that he could commit an abortion under a sonogram and realized this is actually killing a human being and he has a major conversion and becomes pro-life and becomes a major leader to protect and fight for life.”

Cortelyou, who expected Hillary Clinton to win the 2016 presidential election said she “thought we would be living in a very different time,” adding “I had hoped this film would come out and it would be historical relic. It’s telling a story that’s so chillingly relevant.” (Read more from “Fearing Overturn of Roe v. Wade, Hollywood Gears up to Release Pro-Abortion Movies” HERE)

‘God Bless Abortions’ Comedian Proudly Celebrates Murdering Babies

Comedian Michelle Wolf offered what she termed a “salute to abortions” on her Sunday show.

During her Netflix show “The Break with Michelle Wolf,” Wolf devoted her closing segment to a sketch in which she dressed in an American flag leotard and offered cheers for abortion.

“God bless abortions and God bless America!” she exclaimed at one point, The Hill reported.

“Women, if you need an abortion, get one,” Wolf said. “If you want an abortion, get one.”

“It’s up to you, and it doesn’t have to be a big deal. It’s actually a great deal. It’s about $300 – that’s like six movie tickets. Movie tickets: a big deal!,” she said, according to CNS News.

Wolf’s approach enraged many on Twitter.

As noted byThe Daily Wire, Wolf also tried to use a form of logic and science in her speech.

“Look, access to abortion is good and important,” she said. “Some people say abortion is ‘killing a baby.’ It’s not. It’s stopping a baby from happening. It’s like ‘Back to the Future’ and abortion is the DeLorean. And everyone loves DeLoreans.”

Wolff threw in a scornful jab at pro-life advocates, according to The Wrap.

“I know some people call themselves ‘pro-life,’ but pro-life is a propaganda term that isn’t real, like healthy ice cream …,” she said.

“Get the terminology straight. First of all, these people are anti-abortion, which means they’re anti-woman. If these people were actually pro-life, they’d be fighting hard for health care, child care, gun control, education and protecting the environment. But these anti-abortion (people) do not care about life, they just care about birth,” she said.

She also threw in a dig at men.

“Now, men, I’m sorry, I’m sure this brings up a lot of feelings and thoughts and points that you want to make, and I just want you to know that that’s all very irrelevant,” she said. “If women embrace that they control life, that makes it a lot harder for men to control women.”

Wolf sought to give her routine relevance by linking it to the debate that swirled in political circles over whether President Donald Trump would use his upcoming Supreme Court nomination to select a nominee who might seek to reverse the Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion. On Monday, Trump nominated veteran judge Brett Kavanaugh.

“Women, don’t forget, you have the power to give life and men will try to control that,” Wolf said. “Don’t let them.”

Wolf has been embracing a strong anti-Trump administration tone ever since the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, when she ridiculed White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who was in the audience at the time. Recent Poll Reveals How Much Millennials Really Know About Roe v. Wade

Do millennials know anything about historical atrocities? It was bad enough that only 4 in 10 millennials understood the Holocaust, but now a new poll shows that as many as 57% of millennials know little to nothing about Roe v. Wade, the ghastly SCOTUS decision that made abortion a constitutional right by judicial fiat.

According to a Democratic pollster, millennials do not know what Roe v. Wade is about, or when abortion was legalized, with many believing it happened after the American Revolution, nearly 200 years before it was decided.

The claim is supported by a 2013 study from the Pew Research Center finding that 57% adults aged 18 to 29 had no knowledge that Roe v. Wade legalized abortion. Not only did it legalize abortion, as noted by LifeNews, it turned America into one of the most liberal countries in the world on the issue:

When Roe v. Wade was handed down, many abortion supporters stated that abortion would be “safe, legal, and rare.” That has proved itself to not be the case. Even some abortion advocates say the poorly-written case has no constitutional basis, and its loose language has opened the door to widespread abortions.

Because of Roe and its companion case, Doe v. Bolton, the United States is one of only seven countries in the world that permits elective abortions past 20 weeks — a fact confirmed by the Washington Post fact checker.

Baby Pics ‘Too Strong for Facebook’: Social Media Giant Targets Pro-Lifers in New Ad Rules

Facebook says its latest rules for advertising what it calls “political” content will promote transparency, but after a month of operation they are effectively handicapping many publishers, including LifeSiteNews.

Last month, the social media giant began requiring publishers to submit identification and mailing addresses in order to run advertisements (promotions to lists) of a “political” nature in the United States. Among the initial list of subjects deemed by Facebook to be “political” and, which will expand over time, are “abortion,” “civil rights,” “health,” and “values.” Facebook says the change is meant to prevent foreign actors from interfering in American elections. . .

Facebook has already come under fire for blocking ads by LifeSiteNews and other pro-lifers, as well as other forms of discrimination against pro-life, Christian, and conservative voices. In recent months Facebook has delayed the average wait time to approve LifeSiteNews ads from 12 hours to 72, and doubled the cost per donation received from ads deemed “political” from an average of $5.95 to $12 per donation click. Even as little as a year ago, approval for ads (promotions of particular articles) usually took minutes to an hour or two. “Now,” says LifeSite President Steve Jalsevac, “Facebook has made everything ‘political’ whereas we are an entirely issues-focused news service rather than a political one.” . . .

The photos in question do not depict political figures, imagery, or events; nor do they contain violent abortion imagery. They are photos of ultrasounds, pregnant mothers’ bellies, images of preborn babies, and even a simple photo of a mother holding an infant’s feet. . .

When pushed for additional information, Facebook suggested that LifeSiteNews “consider using different images.” If our ads continue to be rejected, it “may be that the topic of choice for your Ads is what is being disapproved.” (Read more from “Baby Pics ‘Too Strong for Facebook’: Social Media Giant Targets Pro-Lifers in New Ad Rules” HERE)

No Wonder Jeff Toobin Wants Abortion so Badly, He Once Allegedly Gave His Mistress Money to Have One

Since Anthony Kennedy announced he will be retiring from the Supreme Court, CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin has gone into panic mode over the fate of Roe v. Wade. Immediately, he began sounding the alarm that so-called “abortion rights” as we know it are effectively “doomed” in the United States:

. . .

“You are going to see 20 states pass laws banning abortion outright. Just banning abortion,” Toobin said. “Because they know that there are now going to be five votes on the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade.” . . .

According to NY Daily News, Toobin has some deeply personal reasons to fret over abortion being doomed, because he once allegedly paid his mistress, Casey Greenfield, money to have one.

“Greenfield, now 36, was in her 20s when she fell for Toobin, now 49, even though he was wed to Amy McIntosh, the Harvard sweetheart he’d married in 1986 and who gave him two children,” the NY Daily News reported in 2010. “In 2008, when Greenfield became pregnant, and when she told Toobin the news, he offered her ‘money if she’d have an abortion,’ says a source. He also allegedly offered to pay for her to have another child later via a sperm donor.”

Thankfully, Casey Greenfield did not get the abortion and had the child, a son named Roderick Henry Greenfield. Despite Toobin’s initial fight, he eventually did acquiesce to a paternity test, which indeed confirmed him as the father.

Prime Minister: Catholic Hospitals Will Now Be Forced to Perform Abortions

Now that abortion is legal in Ireland, all hospitals, including those with a Catholic ethos, will be required to carry out abortions once the country’s repeal of a constitutional abortion ban goes into effect.

Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadka made the announcement while discussing surgical abortions during a speech to the Irish parliament, just a few weeks after Ireland voted by a large margin (63 percent) to repeal the amendment that had banned abortion in the country for the last 35 years. While many conservatives predicted Ireland’s abortion ban repeal would lead to the loss of other freedoms, it’s somewhat surprising how quickly this has proven to be the case. . .

The Irish government has been drafting legislation to address how abortion law will work now that the ban is overturned. One proposed bill would allow women to get an abortion during the first trimester, and into the early weeks of the second trimester in extreme cases. Legislators are using Ireland’s Protection of Life During Pregnancy Act of 2013 as a guide. This piece of legislation allowed for abortions in extreme medical circumstances, and for individual medical personnel to opt out of giving those abortions.

Varadkar is Ireland’s first openly gay prime minister. President Trump has boasted about their “outstanding relationship” and Time magazine called him one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

He did offer a loophole for doctors, nurses, and midwives who want to opt out of performing abortion procedures on conscience grounds, but it’s unclear how that would play out in practice. Regardless, Varadkar was still clear all of Ireland’s medical institutions, no matter their origins or funding, would be required to participate in performing abortions now. Study: Women Who Abort Are 81 Percent More Likely to Have Mental Health Issues Than Those Who Kept Babies

Hundreds of women experience serious if not fatal complications during abortions but at least it’s not more, a study posits, alleging that abortion is safe. . .

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention however, reports that 36 women died from abortion complications between 2009 and 2013.

Women who had abortions were also 81 percent more likely to experience mental health problems than their peers who had not aborted an unborn child, according to a recent study published in the British Journal of Psychiatry.

Of the women who aborted, 10 percent of mental health issues that arose thereafter were positively attributable to abortion.

Planned Parenthood has aborted over 7,132,130 babies since Margaret Sanger’s founding of the abortion organization. Planned Parenthood doctors aborted more than 328,348 unborn babies in 2016, and killed 6,803,782 unborn babies between 1978 and 2016, according to CNS News. ‘Early Abortion Training Guide’ Trains Docs to Persuade Women to Have Abortions

The University of California-San Francisco’s think-tank for “reproductive rights” is training future abortionists on how to steer “ambivalent” pregnant women toward having an abortion.

The “Early Abortion Training Guide” was published by the UCSF Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health, which sponsors annual fellowships for abortionists at 30 colleges across the United States, as Campus Reform reported Wednesday.

Though the majority of the guide focuses on the medical process of performing an abortion, a section on “Pregnancy Options Counseling Techniques” suggests that abortionists should encourage women to “reconcile” their hesitations about abortion.

“People of all faiths and religions have abortions. You do not need any background in religious or spiritual matters to talk to patients about abortion,” the guide tells doctors, suggesting a variety of pro-abortion phrases that they can employ if a patient is reluctant to terminate her pregnancy.

For instance, the guide recommends telling pregnant patients that “Those choosing abortions do so for many reasons” and that “You are a responsible person and may be making the most responsible decision by not continuing the pregnancy.” (Read more from “‘Early Abortion Training Guide’ Trains Docs to Persuade Women to Have Abortions” HERE)

This Country Isn’t Having Enough Babies, but Abortion Is Legal Anyway

By The Daily Caller. Ireland isn’t having enough kids to ensure it will be able to replace its population in the long run, but the nation voted in May to legalize abortion anyway.

Ireland’s Central Statistics Office (CSO) reported that Irish women are having an average of 1.8 children altogether. That number sits below 2.1 children per woman, which is the number of children Irish women would need to have in order to replace the population.

Women had 62,053 babies in 2017, marking a 1,844-decrease in babies born from 2016, according to the Independent.

Where Ireland’s birth rate used to sit at 16.1 per every thousand women aged 15 to 49 in 2007, that rate has fallen to 12.9 per thousand of child-bearing age women. The average age of women having their first child has risen to 31 years old. The marriage rate has also fallen 0.2 percent since 2016.

Despite the falling population, the Irish electorate voted 66.4 percent to 33.6 percent to repeal the Eight Amendment, results showed on May 26. The vote came after swaths of Irish, many of whom had traveled across international waters to return home in order to cast their ballots, headed to the booths May 25 to affirm or reject their commitment to protecting life. Judge Agrees to Halt Fetal Heartbeat Abortion Law in Iowa

By NBC News. Attorneys for the state and Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds said during a court hearing that they agreed to prevent the law from taking effect on July 1 after discussions with the American Civil Liberties Union of Iowa, Planned Parenthood Federation of American and the Emma Goldman Clinic.

The advocacy groups argue the law is unconstitutional and have filed a lawsuit to block the law, which bans most abortions if a fetal heartbeat can be detected. An attorney representing the state said the goal now is to quickly get the case before a judge so the state can argue the law is constitutional.

Judge Michael Huppert said he would formally issue a temporary injunction later in the day.

Reynolds signed the law May 2, two days after lawmakers approved it. If the law is eventually allowed to take effect, the fetal heartbeat requirement would ban abortions around the sixth week of pregnancy — a time when, abortion-rights groups say, many women don’t even know they’re pregnant. Miracle: Baby Escapes Death at Mississippi’s Only Abortion Clinic

On Wednesday, a miracle happened: a pregnant woman walked into Mississippi’s only abortion clinic and left with her baby girl delivered and unharmed.

Jackson Women’s Health Organization is Mississippi’s only abortion clinic in the state. . .

A pregnant Mississippi woman, who remains unnamed for privacy reasons, came into the facility and unexpectedly went into labor while she was waiting for an ultrasound to see how far along she was in her pregnancy, says the clinic’s director, Shannon Brewer.

Since the woman was already pregnant, the only logical reason she was at the abortion clinic was presumably because she was considering abortion. Inquiring about contraception and pregnancy testing, which are the only two other services offered, when pregnant, is nonsensical.

Brewer confirmed that a doctor delivered the woman’s baby girl at the clinic. The two were then transported to a nearby hospital and are both said to be in good health. (Read more from “Miracle: Baby Escapes Death at Mississippi’s Only Abortion Clinic” HERE)
