Former President Donald Trump slammed the US withdrawal from Afghanistan as “the greatest foreign policy humiliation in the history of the United States of America” during a rally in Alabama on Saturday.
Trump ripped President Biden for allowing “weakness in the White House,” saying that, Vietnam looks like a Masterclass in strategy compared to Joe Biden’s catastrophe.”
“This will go down as one of the great military defeats of all time and it did not have to happen that way,” Trump said to his supporters. “This was not a withdrawal, this was a total surrender, for no reason.”
“He surrendered our airbase, he surrendered our weapons, he surrendered our embassy,” Trump said. (Read more from “Trump Slams Biden for Afghanistan Withdrawal During Rally Appearance” HERE)

A pregnant Afghan woman managed to make it to an evacuation flight from Kabul’s international airport and gave birth aboard a military plane hours later.
The U.S. military is working to rapidly evacuate thousands of Afghans who worked with Americans and NATO allies during the past two decades of war as the Taliban has now retaken control of the country. President Joe Biden’s administration has faced substantial criticism and political pressure—from Republicans and Democrats alike—to swiftly evacuate the Afghan nationals amid concerns they could face reprisals and death now that the Taliban has returned to power.
Air Mobility Command (AMC), a major command of the U.S. Air Force, posted about the incident involving the pregnant Afghan woman on its official Twitter account on Saturday. The Twitter thread explained that the woman went into labor while en route to Germany and faced complications.
During a flight from an Intermediate Staging Base in the Middle East, the mother went into labor and began having complications. The aircraft commander decided to descend in altitude to increase air pressure in the aircraft, which helped stabilize and save the mother’s life.

Seven people were crushed to death Saturday as massed crowds fell against concrete barriers outside Kabul airport as they gathered to try to flee Afghanistan after the Taliban took control, according to Britain’s Ministry of Defence.
Panicked crowds were pushing forward in an attempt to board evacuation planes when the tragedy took place, Reuters reports.
“Conditions on the ground remain extremely challenging but we are doing everything we can to manage the situation as safely and securely as possible,” the UK Defence Ministry statement said on Sunday. . .
One mother who lost her child in the deadly crush later detailed events that came as the crowd was reportedly sprayed with a hose to keep people cool in 30C temperatures. . .
The woman said her family — her husband, the two-year-old daughter, disabled parents, three sisters and a cousin — had been trying to secure a flight to freedom from Hamid Karzai International Airport when the crowd rushed the gates. By Daily Caller. resident Joe Biden walked away from a Friday press conference while a reporter asked him why he continues to trust the Taliban.
The president had just finished explaining that the U.S. had been in contact with the Taliban and didn’t expect Afghanistan to fall so fast. “But the point was that although we were in contact with the Taliban, and Doha, for this whole period of time, at some point it wasn’t expected to be a total demise of the Afghan National Force, which is 300 persons,” Biden said. . .
As Biden walked away, multiple reporters began yelling out their questions, including one who asked why he still trusts the Taliban.
“Why do you continue to trust the Taliban, Mr. President?” the reporter asked. Biden ignored the question and continued to walk away. (Read more from “Questions Unanswered: Biden Walks Away as Reporter Shouts ‘Why Do You Continue To Trust the Taliban?'” HERE)
Senate Republicans Blast Biden’s ‘Agenda of Abandonment’ as Thousands of Americans Remain Stranded in Afghanistan
By Breitbart. Senate Republicans are slamming President Biden’s overarching “agenda of abandonment” as thousands of Americans remain stranded in Afghanistan with no clear instructions or way to get out of the country following the Taliban’s takeover.
The video, released by the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) on Friday, begins with a montage of news reports detailing Biden’s most recent “tragic foreign policy disaster” in Afghanistan, which has unfolded over the last few days, before stretching back to some of the other major foreign policy issues that occurred in the first few months of his presidency.
The video highlights Biden’s failure to stand up to Israel and features White House press secretary Jen Psaki failing to answer a reporter’s question regarding the U.S. assisting Israel in replenishing the Iron Dome.
“I don’t have anything to preview in terms of additional assistance,” she said as the video highlighted remarks from Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), who accused the U.S. of enabling dehumanization by aiding the Jewish State. Biden Astoundingly Claims All Americans Can Reach Kabul Airport
By New York Post. President Biden on Friday claimed that al-Qaeda is “gone” from Afghanistan and that the Taliban is letting Americans reach Kabul’s airport, before Pentagon leaders contradicted the commander in chief on both claims.
Biden stumbled repeatedly when taking his first questions from reporters on Afghanistan’s fall to the Taliban — also claiming that US allies were not displeased by the chaotic US pullout, despite rare public rebukes.
“What interest do we have in Afghanistan at this point with al Qaeda gone? We went to Afghanistan for the express purpose of getting rid of al Qaeda in Afghanistan,” Biden said in the White House East Room, defending the US departure.
Attempting to put a positive spin on ongoing evacuations, Biden said “we know of no circumstance where American citizens are carrying an American passport and are trying to get through to the airport.”
When an NPR reporter pointed out that was untrue, Biden changed his answer, saying that “to the best of our knowledge, the Taliban checkpoints, they are letting through people showing American passports” and that some Americans are struggling to reach the airport because of “the mad rush of non-Americans” crowding the area. Former President Donald Trump stated Friday that President Joe Biden’s leaving Americans to die in Afghanistan is a “dereliction of duty.”
“Leaving Americans behind for death is an unforgivable dereliction of duty, which will go down in infamy,” Trump’s statement read regarding President Joe Biden’s chaotic evacuation from the failed state of Afghanistan.
Trump also criticized Biden on Thursday by explaining how a proper Afghan withdrawal should have been conducted.
“First you bring out all of the American citizens. Then you bring out ALL equipment. Then you bomb the bases into smithereens,” Trump’s statement said. “AND THEN YOU BRING OUT THE MILITARY.”
“You don’t do it in reverse order like Biden and our woke Generals did. No chaos, no death—they wouldn’t even know we left!” said Trump. (Read more from “Donald Trump: Leaving Americans to Die in Afghanistan Is ‘Dereliction of Duty’” HERE)

President Joe Biden boasted during a press conference Friday that his administration supported the evacuation of the French embassy in Kabul while at the same time American citizens are being told the U.S. government cannot escort them to the airport.
The U.S. Embassy in Kabul informed American citizens on Thursday that the Biden administration “cannot ensure safe passage to the airport.” The message came one day after Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said the U.S. military lacks the capability to escort Americans trapped behind enemy lines to the airport.
However, the Biden administration did have the capability to provide support to a convoy of hundreds of French people from their embassy to the airport, the president said Friday.
“We’re also facilitating flights for our allies and our partners, and working in close operational coordination with NATO on this evacuation. For example, we provided overwatch for the French convoy bringing hundreds of people from the French embassy to the airport,” Biden said. “These operations are going to continue in the coming days before we complete our drawdown.” (Read more from “Biden Helped Evacuate the French Embassy While Leaving American Citizens to the Mercy of the Taliban” HERE)

A majority of American voters believe President Joe Biden is a weak leader, according to a poll conducted this week amid the collapse of the Afghan government to the Taliban.
Fifty-three percent of registered voters who responded to the Economist/YouGov poll said Biden is weak, with 47 percent calling him strong. Thirty-nine percent said they believe Biden is a “very weak” leader. The poll queried 1,500 U.S. citizens from Aug. 14-17 and had a 3 percent margin of error.
The poll covered a period that saw Afghanistan fall into chaos in the aftermath of Biden’s withdrawal of U.S. troops from the country. On Sunday, the Taliban captured Kabul and toppled the Afghan government, returning to power for the first time in 20 years. (Read more from “Poll: Voters Think Biden’s a Weak Leader” HERE)

A college student at Virginia Tech whose parents emigrated from Afghanistan is detailing the horrors her relatives are experiencing with the Taliban in control of the country.
“The night after the Taliban took over, I wake up – it’s another day here in America. I look at my phone and I have a missed call and a couple messages from a cousin in Afghanistan,” Mariam Farzayee, president of the Afghan Student Association at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, told Fox News. “He’s begging me for help to get him out, he says, ‘Is there any way you can sponsor me to leave? Is there any way you can help me get into another country?’”
“He was talking to me about he’s terrified for his own life and he feels so helpless and doesn’t know what he can really do from there,” Farzayee said, detailing the photos and videos she received showing how Taliban fighters were outside her cousin’s building. “He said the night before, the Taliban had come to his house and they broke a ton of windows in his neighborhood and they also broke the windows in his cars. He said all he could do was shelter in place because there’s really nothing he can do.”
Farzayee said her cousin was at the airport when he witnessed several people being trampled to death as crowds stampeded onto the tarmac and some desperately clung to the side of a U.S. Air Force C-17 transport plane as it took off. She said he has since returned to his home not far outside of Kabul. (Read more from “Heartbreaking: U.S. Student Details Horrors Afghan Family Experiencing After Taliban Takeover” HERE)

More Americans are concerned about threats from extremist groups based in the United States than those from other countries, according to a new poll.
A survey released Thursday by the Associated Press found that 65 percent of U.S. adults are “extremely” or “very” concerned about the threat to the country from domestic groups, compared to 50 percent who feel the same about the threat from foreign extremist groups.
There was no significant difference between Republicans and Democrats regarding the threat from foreign extremist groups. Forty-nine percent of Democrats reported being extremely or very concerned about the issue, compared to 54 percent of Republicans. By Breitbart. During a portion of an interview with ABC News on Wednesday, President Joe Biden said that he doesn’t think the exit from Afghanistan could have been handled any better and “the idea that somehow, there’s a way to have gotten out without chaos ensuing, I don’t know how that happens.”

Joe Doubles Down on Withdrawal, Snaps Over Question About Horrific Scenes
By New York Post. President Biden maintains that no mistakes were made in the US withdrawal from Afghanistan — waving off the scenes of chaos, confusion and desperation in his first interview on the matter since the fall of Kabul.
“So you don’t think this could have been handled — this exit could have been handled better in any way, no mistakes?” ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos asked Biden.
And when Stephanopoulos tried to ask Biden about the horrific scenes of people clinging to and falling from departing US airplanes, the president grew combative.
“We’ve all seen the pictures. We’ve seen those hundreds of people packed in a C-17. We’ve seen Afghans falling –“
“That was four days ago, five days ago!” Biden cut Stephanopoulos, even though the images were taken on Monday.

Poll: Support for US Withdrawal From Afghanistan — and for Biden’s Foreign Policy — Tumbles as Taliban Takes Control
By Yahoo News. Amid the swift and sudden collapse of Afghanistan this week — and widespread coverage of the chaos that has engulfed the war-weary country as the Taliban seized control again — support for both the long-planned withdrawal of U.S. forces and for President Biden’s handling of foreign policy has declined significantly, according to a new Yahoo News poll.
At the same time, more Americans still favor the U.S. withdrawal than oppose it — and there are early signs that the political fallout for the president could be limited in the long run.
The survey of 1,649 U.S. adults, which was conducted from Aug. 16 to 18, found that while 50 percent of respondents said one month ago that they favored the decision to “withdraw all [U.S.] combat troops from Afghanistan by the end of August,” just 40 percent say the same today. Over the same period, opposition to Biden’s plan to withdraw increased from 22 percent to 28 percent.
Such a rapid shift is unwelcome if unsurprising news for the White House, which has struggled to explain how it failed to anticipate the speed with which the Taliban toppled the Afghan army and government, leaving diplomats and Afghans who assisted the U.S. effort scrambling to escape the country.
As a result, significantly more Americans now disapprove of Biden on foreign policy (48 percent) than approve (36 percent) — a sizable shift from last month, when the country was evenly divided on the question (42 percent disapproving to 41 percent approving). Notably, disapproval of Biden’s foreign policy increased by the same amount (7 points) among Democrats (to 18 percent) and Republicans (to 86 percent).
