Another Poll Shows Ocasio-Cortez’s Approval Ratings Are Straight Trash

She may be a fighter. She may be a darling of the far left of the Democratic Party. Her followers may like how she takes the fight to the GOP, even if she’s hitting way above her weight class. But Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) approval ratings are trash. Now, is indicative that her political career is toast? It’s still way too early, though some of these figures are not solid for someone in a solidly Democratic district. For now, let’s just say that she’s probably going to be re-elected, barring any more pushes that cost her state jobs and economic activity a la Amazon purge (via CNBC):

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has grown less popular in New York – even among Democrats – following Amazon’s decision to scrap its planned offices in Queens.

Thirty-one percent of registered voters in the state view the freshman House Democrat favorably, while 44 percent have an unfavorable view, according to a Siena College poll released Monday. In January, 34 percent of New York voters viewed Ocasio-Cortez favorably, versus 29 percent who had an unfavorable opinion, a Quinnipiac University poll found.

[…]

Ocasio-Cortez’s support has dipped among key constituencies since January. Her net favorability — positive minus negative ratings — among Democrats fell to +17 in March from +46 in January. In New York City, she had only a +6 rating in March, down from a +32 in January. Ocasio-Cortez represents parts of the city’s boroughs of Queens and the Bronx.

Ocasio-Cortez’s ‘Green New Deal’ FAILS

By Daily Wire. Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) “Green New Deal” overwhelmingly failed in the Senate on Tuesday when it was put to a vote, as not a single senator voted in support of it.

“Not a single senator backed her bill during the vote, a 57-0 filibuster,” The Washington Times reported. “Forty-three Democrats voted ‘present,’ refusing to take a stand.”

“Republicans said it was a devastating blow to the democratic socialist movement’s marquee proposal, which called for an upheaval in American energy, overhaul of the construction sector, and the largest expansion in history of the social safety net,” the Times added. . .

“The American people will see,” McConnell said before the vote. “They’ll see which senators are so fully committed to radical left-wing ideology that they can’t even vote ‘no’ on self-inflicted economic ruin that would take a sledgehammer to America’s middle class.” (Read more from “Ocasio-Cortez’s ‘Green New Deal’ FAILS in Senate” HERE)

Green New Deal backed by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez fizzles out in the Senate as Dems accuse GOP of putting on a ‘stunt’ vote

By CNBC. A Green New Deal proposal backed by numerous Democrats failed to advance in the Senate on Tuesday as Democrats protested what they called a political show vote orchestrated by majority Republicans.

The nonbinding resolution, which calls on the United States to make an ambitious effort to slash its use of fossil fuels to fight climate change, fell short in a procedural vote. The Senate did not proceed to debating the measure, as 57 senators voted against it and 43 Democrats and independents who caucus with them — nearly all of the Democratic caucus — voted “present.” Four senators who vote with Democrats — Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, Doug Jones of Alabama and independent Angus King of Maine — voted against the resolution.

By voting “present,” Democrats hoped not to go on the record on a bill that had no realistic chance of passing, even if they support the concept of a Green New Deal. The six Democratic senators running for president next year — who co-sponsored the original resolution introduced by Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass. — did not take a position on the measure Tuesday. Guess How Much AOC Owes in Corporate Back Taxes

Democrats’ favorite progressive, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), owes back taxes for a failed business venture. According to the New York Post, Ocasio-Cortez owes $1,877.56 in unpaid corporate taxes. Here’s the kicker: the bill is from six years ago.

AOC’s failed business, Brook Avenue Press, was established to publish books about inner city kids. This is the business that owes state taxes. Rather ironic for a Congresswoman who advocates for taxing the rich, right?

On July 6, 2017, two months after Ocasio-Cortez announced her intent to run for Congress, New York State filed a warrant, The Post reported.

Brook Avenue Press eventually dissolved in October 2016, something that typically happens when a business fails to pay corporate taxes or file a tax return. . .

A New York City-subsidized program called the Sunshine Bronx Business Incubator helped AOC launch her business. The program was designed to help small businesses in the Bronx. One of their initiatives allowed business owners to pay a monthly rent between $195 and $275 per person. (Read more from “Guess How Much AOC Owes in Corporate Back Taxes” HERE)

Ocasio-Cortez Has Another EPIC Meltdown – Here’s Why

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) lashed out at Fox News over the weekend after new polling showed that her “unfavorable” ratings have skyrocketed among most voter demographic groups. . .

The new Gallup survey released last Friday showed that Ocasio-Cortez is becoming a well-known politician despite her freshman status in Congress. However, with the recognition has come negative perception.

In fact, while the poll found her favorability has inched up seven points since last September from 24 percent to 31 percent, Ocasio-Cortez’s unfavorable ratings have found a similar boost: 15 points since last September from 26 percent 41 percent. . .

Even when demographics are considered, Gallup found that Ocasio-Cortez is “underwater among most groups.” Indeed, Ocasio-Cortez is only viewed positively among Democrats and nonwhites. She is viewed as only slightly positive among women and adults aged 18 to 34.

Ocasio-Cortez Favorability Inches up — but the Same Poll Has Very Bad News for Her

By The Blaze. In a new poll released on Friday, the upstart congresswoman showed a small improvement in her favorability rating, but also a large leap in her unfavorability rating.

Of Americans polled by the survey, 31 percent said that they saw her favorably, an increase of 7 percentage points from September when 24 percent said they saw her favorably.

However, about 41 percent saw her in an unfavorable light, a leap of 15 percentage points from 26 percent in September.

The Socialist Democrat shocked the political world in 2018 when she defeated a Democratic party boss in the primary for New York’s 14th congressional district.

Since then she has used her social media savvy to push the party to the far left, garnering high praise from progressives but also facing scorn from party establishment loyalists. (Read more from “Ocasio-Cortez Favorability Inches up — but the Same Poll Has Very Bad News for Her” HERE)

Ocasio-Cortez Hits NRA After New Zealand Shooting: ‘What Good Are Your Thoughts and Prayers?’

By The Hill. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) on Friday tore into the National Rifle Association (NRA) after at least one gunman opened fire at two New Zealand mosques, leaving at least 49 people dead.

The New York lawmaker condemned the fatal attack on Twitter, focusing her message on the American gun group.

At 1st I thought of saying, ‘Imagine being told your house of faith isn’t safe anymore.’ But I couldn’t say ‘imagine,’” the lawmaker wrote, citing the deadly shootings at a Charleston, S.C., church, a Pittsburgh synagogue and a Sutherland Springs, Texas, church.

“What good are your thoughts & prayers when they don’t even keep the pews safe?” She added.

Ocasio-Cortez noted that “thoughts and prayers” is a reference to the NRA phrase she says is “used to deflect conversation away from policy change during tragedies.” (Read more from “Ocasio-Cortez Hits NRA After New Zealand Shooting: ‘What Good Are Your Thoughts and Prayers?'” HERE)

Ocasio-Cortez Has Ties to Dark Money Group

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has ties with a dark money group that trains progressive organizers on how to lead grassroots political campaigns across the country.

The group, Organize for Justice, is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization, meaning it can raise unlimited sums of money without having to disclose the identity of its donors to the public.

Organize for Justice’s website states that it is the “sister organization” of Justice Democrats, the PAC that, according to corporate filings, Ocasio-Cortez and her chief of staff have held control over since December 2017.

Ocasio-Cortez has frequently decried the use of dark money in politics. During her primary campaign, she said dark money was an “enemy to democracy” and that it poses a “very real danger” of silencing grassroots candidates.

Organize for Justice was founded by former Ocasio-Cortez campaign volunteers in November, according to corporate documents obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation. Justice Democrats’ executive director, Alexandra Rojas, also serves on the board of the dark money group.

Here’s How Many Top Economists Think AOC’s Policy Doesn’t Work

An economic policy espoused by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) was found to have exactly zero support from top economists in a recent poll. . .

But in a poll from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business of 42 top economists, not one supported the basic tenets of the policy.

One question asked how much they supported the statement, “Countries that borrow in their own currency should not worry about government deficits because they can always create money to finance their debt.”

Another asked, “Countries that borrow in their own currency can finance as much real government spending as they want by creating money.”

Ocasio-Cortez Has EPIC Meltdown

During a House Financial Services Committee meeting hosted by Chairwoman Maxine Waters on Tuesday, democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) attempted to take down Wells Fargo CEO Timothy Sloan on the issue of climate change — and ended up inspiring widespread backlash for her non sequitur questions. Amid the wave of criticism for her performance at the hearing, the freshman representative and former bartender issued a series of tweets pushing back against those poking holes in her global warming logic.

At the hearing, titled “Holding Megabanks Accountable: An Examination of Wells Fargo’s Pattern of Consumer Abuses,” Ocasio-Cortez launched into a series of causally problematic accusations, attempting to blame the bank for the “caging of children” at the border, hypothetical “spills,” and “when we have to reinvest in infrastructure building sea walls from the erosion of … infrastructure or cleanups, wildfires” (videos below).

She then responded directly to criticism of her logic by A&E’s “Rodeo Girls” star Marvel Marisa Murphy, who wrote: “So using her own logic… Hypothetically, if @AOC made a drink while bartending, then served it to a person, who then killed a family of 5 while driving drunk, she should then be held accountable for the incident, right? Bartenders beware, she could be coming after you next!!”

“Actually, in NYC if you’re a bartender and knowingly over-serve to someone, you *ARE* liable for things they do after they leave the bar, because you knowingly put them at risk for $. Its called the Dram Shop Act. It’s a big reason why bartenders cut people off. And it works,” Ocasio-Cortez responded, adding in yet another post: “The key here is in the advance knowledge. When you *knowingly* do something that you know *in advance* will do harm, and do it anyway, you open yourself up. Companies *know in advance* that climate change will get worse if we keep growing fossil fuel consumption and production.”

Ocasio-Cortez Makes Ridiculous Accusation Against Wells Fargo CEO

Wells Fargo CEO Tim Sloan fired back at New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at a contentious hearing in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, after the freshman legislator accused the bank of “financing the caging of children” and suggested it should bear financial liability for everything from oil spills to climate change.

Ocasio-Cortez’s inquiries come as activists increasingly seek to “deplatform” political opponents by cutting off their funding from banks and other financial services providers — a concerted effort that conservatives and libertarians have said threatens free speech.

House Financial Services Committee Chairman Maxine Waters, D-Calif., brought Sloan before the panel Tuesday as part of a broad, four-hour inquiry into widely reported fraudulent misconduct in recent years by Wells Fargo employees. But in questioning Sloan, who faced bipartisan criticism during the hearing, Ocasio-Cortez, a self-described Democratic socialist, quickly went much further.

“Why was the bank involved in the caging of children and financing the caging of children to begin with?” Ocasio-Cortez asked at one point, in an apparent reference to the Trump administration’s zero-tolerance immigration policy, which resulted in increased separations of parents suspected of criminal activity from the minors who accompanied them.

The White House has pointed out that images widely circulated on social media showing migrant children in large, fenced-off detention rooms were taken during the Obama administration.

This Video Exposes AOC for the Hypocrite She Truly IS

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) hasn’t been in office very long and we’ve all seen right through her. We know she’s a hypocrite. She likes to tout her Socialist ideas that “benefit everyone” and the “community as a whole” but really, she’s talking out of both sides of her mouth. She wants everyone to share their hard earned money but she doesn’t want to share hers. She wants “dark money” out of politics, but only if that money is someone other than hers.

After all, just a few days ago a Federal Election Commission (FEC) complaint was filed against Ocasio-Cortez, saying her chief of staff, Saikat Chakrabart, allegedly created multiple LLCs to funnel campaign contributions from various political action committees (PACs). Of course, the Congresswoman denied the claims, saying there was “no [FEC] violation.”

AOC is such a hypocrite that the Republican National Committee created a video, called “hypAOCrite” (like the pun?) showing just how much of an imposter she truly is. The video features the Congresswoman’s hearing testimony where she talks about the dark money in politics and how politicians hide the skeletons in their closet in order to get elected. As she’s saying the words, news headlines about her alleged FEC violation take over the screen.
