AOC’s Green New Deal Posters Look like Soviet Union Propaganda

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is usually pretty good with her marketing. You may not like what she has to say, but she at least has style. That’s why it makes it all the more bizarre that she chose posters to advocate for her Green New Deal which as if they are right out of the Soviet Union’s propaganda machine. AOC first revealed the posters on Twitter on Friday, and conservatives were quick to point out their likeness to communist flyers of old.

“Surprise!I am thrilled to announce the launch of our #GreenNewDeal art series with custom Bronx & Queens GND posters. The Bronx edition poster will be given for free as a limited release to the public at our Pelham Bay Nature Day & Backpack Giveaway in the Bronx tomorrow,” Rep. Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

“These posters push us to imagine our future with a Green New Deal in two of our beloved NY-14 parks: Pelham Bay & Flushing Meadows,” she added. “All our #GND posters are made in the US, union-printed & will be available for purchase soon, but available at organizing events now.”

Expert Breaks down for AOC Why We Have the Electoral College

New York Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently trashed the electoral college on her Instagram Live, saying that the system used to determine the president of the United States every four years is racist and disproportionately advantageous for white people. Tara Ross, author of Regnery’s The Indispensable Electoral College: How the Founders’ Plan Saves Our Country from Mob Rule, broke down for Townhall just why AOC is so misinformed. . .

Ross told Townhall that AOC fundamentally misunderstands the purpose of the electoral college and fails to see why it is necessary. . .

“‘Take away the electoral college,’ Mr. Jordan wrote at the time, ‘and the importance of that black vote melts away. Blacks, instead of being crucial to victory in major states, simply become ten percent of the total electorate, with reduced impact,'” the retired attorney told me. . .

“Americans would be better served to remember the real history of the Electoral College: The institution was created because the Founders knew the dangers of simple democracies. Two wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner is not just. Instead, the Founders created a system of checks and balances, including our Electoral College,” Ross said. . .

“The purpose of our state-by-state presidential election process is simply to ensure that voters from a variety or regions, states, and subcultures are taken into account at election time,” Ross said. “The truth is that the Electoral College helps all Americans, no matter their skin color. AOC: People Have No Choice but to Violently Riot

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is condoning violent rioting in order to reach political goals.

During an interview with New York’s Hot 97 earlier this week, Ocasio-Cortez argued “marginalized” communities have no choice but to riot against their so-called oppressors.

“I believe injustice is a threat to the safety of all people. Because once you have a group that is marginalized and marginalize and marginalized…once someone doesn’t have access to clean water, they have no choice but to riot. And it doesn’t have to be that way. I’m not even taking about Palestinians. I’m talking about communities in poverty in the United States; I’m talking about Latin America; I’m talking about all over the world,” she said.

Demagogic Clown: AOC Declares Trump ‘Directly Responsible’ for El Paso Mass Shooting; Trump Told to ‘Stay Away’

By Townhall. Let’s begin with a reminder that my position on partisan blame after horrific acts of violence has been quite clear and consistent. I believe it’s almost always grossly unfair, and a cheap political smear, to pin mass murder on mainstream ideological opponents, even by implication. Leave it to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to make the least fair point in the dumbest and ugliest way possible. Take it away, lady:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) late Monday said that President Trump’s divisive rhetoric on immigration was “directly responsible” for the mass shooting in El Paso, Texas that left at least 22 people dead. The freshman New York congresswoman made the comments while speaking at a vigil in Brooklyn for the victims of the shooting in El Paso and Dayton, Ohio, according to the New York Daily News. “I’m tired of the questioning if the president is racist. He is,” Ocasio-Cortez told a crowd of about 500 people, the newspaper noted.

The only person “directly responsible” for the Texas massacre is the right-wing, immigrant-hating white supremacist terrorist and doomsday environmentalist who perpetrated it. Period. And while I’ve been a frequent critic of President Trump’s language on any number of issues — and while it’s true that the killer’s manifesto mirrored some of Trump’s words and phrases (“invasion” and “fake news”) — it’s a very dangerous and dishonest game indeed to claim that heated political rhetoric is even partially responsible for acts of extreme violence. Beto O’Rourke on Texas Shooting: Trump ‘Has No Place’ in El Paso

By USA Today. 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke, who is from El Paso, Texas — the location of a mass shooting where more than 20 people were killed in an apparent racist attack — said Monday that President Donald Trump is not welcome there.

O’Rourke, who has repeatedly labeled Trump a “racist,” said that Trump helped create the tragedy in El Paso.

“This president, who helped create the hatred that made Saturday’s tragedy possible, should not come to El Paso,” O’Rourke wrote on Twitter. “We do not need more division. We need to heal. He has no place here.”

Feds Investigating AOC’s Chief of Staff Who Suddenly Resigned, Report Says. Here’s Why.

By The Blaze. The controversial chief of staff for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), who suddenly resigned Friday, is under federal investigation, a new report reveals.

According to the New York Post, the Federal Election Commission is investigating Saikat Chakrabarti for possible campaign finance violations, potentially shedding new light on his sudden departure from Ocasio-Cortez’s office.

The investigation comes after government watchdog group National Legal and Policy Center filed complaints with the FEC in March, alleging Chakrabarti created shell companies to circumvent strict federal guidelines governing PAC finances and disclosure requirements. . .

According to the Post, the investigation includes probing the motive behind salary rules implemented by Ocasio-Cortez’s office. In March, she announced no staff member working in her office would make less than $52,000 or more than $80,000.

By capping Chakrabarti’s salary at $80,000 — despite most congressional chiefs of staff earning more than $140,000 per year — it would have allowed Chakrabarti to avoid requirements mandating he reveal outside income, which are triggered for staff members earning more than $126,000. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Chief of Staff, Spokesman Leave Her Office

By Politico. Saikat Chakrabarti, the controversial chief of staff to high-profile freshman Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, will be leaving her office to work for a non-profit focusing on the Green New Deal.

Watch: AOC Excuses Palestinian Violence Against Israel

In an interview on a popular New York radio program earlier this week, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., excused Palestinian violence against Israel, arguing that marginalized groups “have no choice but to riot.”

Ocasio-Cortez, speaking on Ebro in the Morning, explained her opposition to Israeli policies toward Palestinians, suggesting that Palestinian violence is a response to the conditions created by those policies.

“Once you have a group that is marginalized … once someone doesn’t have access to clean water, they have no choice but to riot,” Ocasio-Cortez said. She expanded on this point, saying poor communities in the United States or Latin America likewise have no choice but to act out violently because of their circumstances.

“I’m not even talking about Palestinians,” she said. “I’m talking about communities in poverty in the United States, I’m talking about Latin America, I’m talking about all over the world.”

“Social destabilization is what happens when people do not have a plan or feel like there’s no vision for their future,” she added.

Encouraged by the radio hosts, Ocasio-Cortez pushed back against accusations from conservatives that anti-Israel Democrats are anti-Semitic.

“The right wants to advance this notion that if you engage in critique of Israeli policy, then you are anti-Semitic,” she said.

“The same way that me criticizing Trump doesn’t make me anti-American, criticizing the occupation doesn’t make you anti-Israel,” she continued. “It doesn’t mean that you are against the existence of a nation. It means that you believe in human rights and it’s about making sure that Palestinian human rights are equal to Israeli human rights.”

First, Ocasio-Cortez is drawing a moral equivalency between Palestinian terrorists who instigate riots and fire mortars at Jewish kindergartens and Israeli Jews who are victims of that violence. There is no moral equivalency. As Israeli PM Netanyahu has said time and time again, if the Palestinians wanted peace with Israel, they could have it, and the condition for having it is accepting Israel’s existence. They don’t want peace because they hate Jews and will not accept the existence of a Jewish state. The enmity between Palestine and Israel isn’t about equal human rights; it’s about one group violently rejecting the other’s right to exist.

Second, Ocasio-Cortez has subscribed to a myth about Israel occupying Palestinian territory. That’s a lie. Under international law, Israel has the unambiguous right to the land AOC, echoing Palestinian propaganda, claims the Jewish state is occupying. The truth is there has never been a sovereign state of “Palestine,” there is no such state today, and because Israel has a legal claim to Judea, Samaria, and Eastern Jerusalem, there is no “occupation.”

Thirdly, the Palestinians engaging in violent acts against Israel are not doing so out of desperation or because of their circumstances. From a young age, Palestinian children are indoctrinated to hate Israelis. They are taught a false Arab-supremacist history that denies the Jewish people’s historic connection to their homeland. Their government subsidizes the families of convicted terrorists who commit acts of violence against Israelis. The Palestinians can choose peace, but they are taught to choose violence — and rewarded for it.

Excusing Palestinian violence under a blanket ideological belief that “marginalized” groups “have no choice but to riot” is appallingly ignorant, and yes it is anti-Semitic. It is anti-Semitic because support for Palestinian claims about Israel are based on lies about Jewish history taught by an institutionalized system of hateful indoctrination that encourages and supports terrorism against the Jewish people and denies the world’s only Jewish state its right to exist. Politifact’s ‘Fact Check’ on AOC Crying in Front of ‘Empty Parking Lot’ Is Utterly Hilarious

Politifact is at it again! The left-wing fact-checker purporting to be unbiased made a mockery of themselves (again) with their latest rating concerning socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). Politifact, creating their best damage control for the freshman congresswoman, rated the claim that Ocasio-Cortez cried in front of an empty parking lot for a photo-op as “false” because it was, in fact, a “road” with some parked cars, not a parking lot, that the elected Democrat cried in front of. . .

The Internet was not on the same page, and it got worse from there for the 29-year-old. When more photos came to light, it appeared she was crying in front of an empty driveway area where cars were parked. There were no migrants in AOC’s view, it appeared. As one might imagine, the mockery of AOC then hit fever pitch. . .

But thank goodness for the likes of nonpartisan fact-checkers like Politifact to set us all straight.

“No, this isn’t a photo of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez crying over a parking lot,” reported Politifact.

“Photographers at the scene who took photos of Ocasio-Cortez say she was not facing a parking lot,” the fact-checker’s “ruling” said. “Rather she was just beyond the toll plaza for the Tornillo facility, and she standing on a road that led to the Tornillo tent complex, which was in the line of her gaze, as she stood at the fence. Two Police Officers Fired for Facebook Post About AOC

Two police officers in Louisiana were fired Monday for a social media post suggesting Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) should be shot.

Charlie Rispoli, a now-former officer of Gretna City Police Department, wrote on Facebook that Ocasio-Cortez “needs a round” and not “the kind she used to serve.” Accompanying his comments was a false story which included a fabricated quote attributed to the New York Democrat that read: “We pay soldiers too much,” according to NOLA.com. The New Orleans news site reports that Angelo Varisco, who was also fired from the Gretna police force, “liked” the post.

“This incident, we feel, has been an embarrassment to our department,” Gretna police chief Arthur Lawson said in a Monday press conference. “These officers have certainly acted in a manner which was unprofessional, alluding to a violent act be conducted against a sitting U.S. [Congresswoman], a member of our government, we are not going to tolerate that.” . . .

According to NOLA.com, Rispoli wrote the post about Ocasio-Cortez on his Facebook page Thursday, and the police department was made aware of it the following evening. Rispoli was placed on administrative leave without pay hours before Lawson notified the media of the pair’s firing. . .

Calls for President Donald Trump’s assassination have been a fixture since the real-estate tycoon announced his bid for the White House in June 2015. Hollywood stars such as Johnny Depp and Madonna, as well as Broadway legend Carole Cook, have mused about the president being killed. The RNC Just Torched Ocasio-Cortez And Her ‘Squad’s’ Presser By Rehashing All The Things That Back Up What Trump Said About Them

This crew was throwing punches at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, but President Trump decided to insert himself into the intra-Democratic Party conflict, telling the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wing of the party that they can leave if they’re unhappy with America. That set off a meltdown across the liberal media establishment. The accusations of racism and xenophobia were hurled once again. After hours of simmering, Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) said they weren’t going to take Trump’s bait, but then decided to chomp down hook, line, and sinker, with Omar wholeheartedly endorsing the impeachment of Donald trump solely on the basis that he beat Hillary Clinton and didn’t like what he said about them on Twitter. Yes, they peddled the same trash liberal talking points, but impeachment seems to be their main unveiling, which isn’t a shocker, while reaffirming the progressive left that they’re still feisty.

WATCH: Former ICE Director Stuns Ocasio-Cortez in Fiery Debate on Family Separation

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Calif.) appeared stunned when former ICE Director Thomas Homan hit back hard on the legality of family separations at the border. . .

Ocasio-Cortez pressed him on whether he recommended the family separation policy to former DHS Secretary Nielsen, but he countered that he gave numerous recommendations on how to “secure the border and save lives.” . . .

“If I get arrested for DUI and I have a young child in the car, I’m gonna be separated,” interrupted Homan. “When I was a police officer in New York and I arrested a father for domestic violence, I separated that father from his home.”

“Mr. Homan with all due respect, legal asylees are not charged with any crime,” Ocasio-Cortez replied.

Homan countered by saying that being present in the U.S. without documentation is illegal.
