CRAZY: Beto O’Rourke Compares Trump Rally to Nazi Event

Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke called President Donald Trump an outright racist Monday and compared last week’s North Carolina campaign rally to a Nazi event, according to The Hill.

During the same interview, O’Rourke said his hometown of El Paso, Texas, has the potential to become the Ellis Island of today, a place where immigrants are welcomed in to the country to improve their own lives and the nation at large. . .

O’Rourke’s comments came during an ABC News interview on Ellis Island in New York. He accused Trump of racism and inciting violence against minorities.

“President Trump is a racist,” O’Rourke said, referencing the president’s criticisms of Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley. “What we saw in North Carolina last week was almost an impromptu Nuremberg rally, inciting hatred and, ultimately, I think, implicit in that is violence against people based on the color of their skin, based on their religion, based on their difference from the majority of Americans.” . . .

“This is Ellis Island, but where I live in El Paso, Texas, could be the Ellis Island of today,” O’Rourke said. “Perhaps millions of people who become Americans coming from Mexico and El Salvador and the Western hemisphere first set foot in the United States in my hometown. So, though we’re about 2,000 miles apart, El Paso and New York, we’re connected in that common story of America.”

Beto O’Rourke Reveals His and His Wife’s Connection to Slavery

Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke revealed on Sunday that he and his wife Amy are both the descendants of slave owners. . .

“A paternal great-great-great grandfather of mine, Andrew Cowan Jasper, owned these two women in the 1850s,” O’Rourke wrote. “There are also records showing that a maternal great-great-great grandfather, Frederick Williams, most likely owned slaves in the 1860s (“most likely,” because we are not certain that the Frederick Williams who is my ancestor and the Frederick Williams who owned slaves are the same person, but there’s enough circumstantial data to lead me to conclude that it’s likely).”

“Records also showed that Amy had an ancestor who owned slaves and another who was a member of the Confederate Army,” O’Rourke added.

O’Rourke’s claim comes after the media last week tried to tie Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s opposition to reparations to the fact that his great-great-grandfathers owned slaves. When the media tried to push that narrative they were met with the fact that former President Barack Obama’s ancestors were slave owners. . .

“I benefit from a system that my ancestors built to favor themselves at the expense of others,” O’Rourke wrote. “That only increases the urgency I feel to help change this country so that it works for those who have been locked-out of — or locked-up in — this system.” (Read more from “Beto O’Rourke Reveals His and His Wife’s Connection to Slavery” HERE)

Surprise, Surprise: Beto Thinks the American Flag Is Hurtful

Two Democratic hopefuls have expressed their support for Nike after the sportswear company pulled sneakers featuring the Betsy Ross-designed American flag ahead of the Fourth of July holiday. The company did so after former NFL quarterback and Nike endorser Colin Kaepernick raised concerns about the shoes.

Former HUD Secretary Julián Castro told CBS News on Wednesday that he was “glad to see” Nike remove the shoes from the shelves, comparing the “painful” symbol to the Confederate flag.

Former Texas congressman Beto O’Rourke also approved of Nike’s decision, noting that “white nationalist groups” have “appropriated” the Betsy Ross flag.

“I think its really important to take into account the impression that kind of symbol would have for many of our fellow Americans,” he said, according to Jewish Insider senior political reporter Ben Jacobs. (Read more from “Surprise, Surprise: Beto Thinks the American Flag Is Hurtful” HERE)

Beto Is Campaigning for POTUS…In Mexico

Former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) must have missed the memo that he’s running for President of the United States. O’Rourke, for whatever reason, is campaigning in Mexico. Again, did he not know he’s running for President of the United States and not President of Mexico?

According to the Associated Press, O’Rourke plants to head to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico to meet with so-called asylum seekers who must wait in Mexico while their application is processed. Ciudad Juarez sits right across the Rio Grande River from El Paso, O’Rourke’s hometown.

The goal of the trip, according to O’Rourke’s campaign, is to meet with “individuals and families directly impacted by Donald Trump’s cruel and inhumane policies” and “shed light on the desperate circumstances those who are seeking asylum and refuge are fleeing, and the conditions these families and individuals are forced to endure when they’ve been turned away from our borders.”

O’Rourke is supposed to meet with illegal aliens, primarily from the Northern Triangle countries of Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador, CNN reported.

“In all of the debate around immigration, we can’t forget who it impacts most: the people traveling thousands of miles, fleeing the worst kind of violence and oppression,” O’Rourke said in a statement. “Turning away refugees, families and asylum seekers is not who we are as a country. But as long as Donald Trump is president — it will be.” (Read more from “Beto Is Campaigning for POTUS…In Mexico” HERE)

Beto Claims Illegal Aliens Have No Choice but to Come to the U.S. – Here’s the Insane Reason Why

Democrat presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke claimed this week that migrants have “no choice” but to come to the United States because of climate change caused by American “excesses.”

O’Rourke, who is struggling to stay relevant in the 2020 Democratic primary, made the remarks on Wednesday while visiting the Homestead Temporary Shelter for Unaccompanied Children in Florida.

“And we’ve got to remember that they are fleeing the deadliest countries on the face of the planet today compounded by drought that was caused not by God, not by mother nature, but by us, man-made climate change, our emissions, our excesses, our inaction in the face of the facts and the science,” O’Rourke said. “When it is that deadly and when you’re unable to grow your own food to feed yourself, you have no choice but to come here.”

O’Rourke participated in the first Democratic presidential debate this week, giving himself an ‘A’ for his performance, while late-night comedians mocked him over his performance. Beto Tells Black Leaders They Need Protection ‘from Their Own Country’

Beto O’Rourke said black Americans need to be shielded from their own country.

Appearing before a gathering of 10 black community leaders and activists at Park Circle Creamery, the 2020 presidential candidate addressed the lack of trust in the law enforcement community that has arisen from incidents of police brutality.

“I don’t know the right word to describe what we need to do as a country, but it’s not just leveling the playing field. It is protecting people from their country and those who hold positions of trust, including in law enforcement right now,” the former Texas congressman told the group. “And it’s protecting from a criminal justice system, it’s protecting from a kindergarten classroom, it’s also protecting from who’s polluting the air that we breathe and the water we drink,” he said, making an apparent reference to the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

O’Rourke is participating in a 10-stop, three-day swing of South Carolina, an early-voting state where candidates are investing time and resources courting the black vote. His remarks were made in response to a question probing the contender for his “opinion on what black people can do as individuals or as a collective in order to catch up.”

“We have these very specific proposals about ensuring there’s more capital in the community, capital in society, making sure everyone has access to it,” O’Rourke said. “I understand that it’s much larger than any given policy proposal or any part of the system because it is systemic. And I will in all humility admit I don’t have the answer.” (Read more from “Beto Tells Black Leaders They Need Protection ‘from Their Own Country'” HERE)

Beto O’Rourke: I Will Prosecute Trump If I Win in 2020

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) accused President Donald Trump of committing crimes and said if he wins the presidency, he will direct his Justice Department to prosecute Trump.

Partial transcript as follows:

STEPHANOPOULOS: We heard House Speaker Nancy Pelosi say this week, she wants to see the president in prison. Do you think the president committed crimes that could be prosecuted?

O’ROURKE: He did. I think that’s clear from what we have learned from the Mueller report. But I think those crimes might extend beyond what we have seen in the Mueller report; using public office for personal gain, for himself and for his family, the relationship that he has with Vladimir Putin, which has never been properly explained from the invitation as a candidate to have Russia involve itself in our election, his efforts to obstruct justice, the fact that he called Vladimir Putin after the Mueller report was released, called it a hoax, thereby giving him a green light to further participate in our democracy and our elections. If with don’t hold the president accountable we’ll set the precedent that some people in this country, because of their position of power, are in fact above the law. And if we do that, we’ll lose this democracy forever. Regardless of the popularity of the idea or what the polling shows us, we must proceed with impeachment so we get the facts and the truth and at end of the day there’s justice for what was done to our democracy in 2016.

Beto’s Ridiculous Mother’s Day Message: So Many Mothers Deported

Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke delivered a Mother’s Day message about the deportation of mothers to Exeter, New Hampshire, over the weekend.

O’Rourke asked those gathered for a Saturday campaign stop to think of migrants in light of Mother’s Day. He then employed his own children as he claimed that mothers have been deported, while the children they crossed the U.S.-Mexico border with are kept in cages before being sent off to “god-only-knows where in America.” He threatened that some of the children who came with their mothers may be forever separated from them.

O’Rourke said:

Right now we have mothers arriving at our front door, at the Texas-Mexico border, who have traveled 2,000 miles, leaving some of the deadliest places on the planet today. Doing what Amy and I would do if the only way to save the lives of our kids, Ulysses who’s 12, Molly who’s 10, Henry who is 8-years-old, was to make a similar journey for their lives and for their sake, to come to a country that has defined and distinguished itself by being a country of refugees and asylum-seekers, and immigrants from the world over.

. . .

O’Rourke focused on child separation policies under the Trump administration without the same attention to policies existing and being established under previous administrations. The Trump administration curtailed family separation policy in the midst of national attention on the subject. Beto O’Rourke Wants to Spend $5 Trillion Taxpayer Money in a Ridiculous WAY

Democratic presidential candidate Robert “Beto” O’Rourke has finally revealed his first concrete policy proposal of the 2020 primary bid, and it’s a plan to address global warming with a whopping $5 trillion price tag.

The sweeping environmental plan, which was announced Monday and is hosted on O’Rourke’s campaign website, calls for a four-pillar framework of cutting pollution and executive action, a massive infrastructure investment, reaching net-zero carbon emissions nationwide by 2050, and pre-emptive measures for communities expected to face “extreme weather.”

“The greatest threat we face — which will test our country, our democracy, every single one of us — is climate change,” reads a statement that accompanied the policy outline. “We have one last chance to unleash the ingenuity and political will of hundreds of millions of Americans to meet this moment before it’s too late.”

The first portion of the plan includes the United States re-entering the Paris climate accord, addressing methane leakage in the energy industry, increasing efficiency regulations for buildings and appliances, and increasing regulations on power plants.

The infrastructure portion would spend trillions on efforts to “accelerate the scale up of nascent technologies enabling reductions in greenhouse gas emissions,” on research and development on green technology, and on public grants for things like public housing and public transportation.

Part three promises that a President O’Rourke would work with Congress to pass a legally enforceable standard to reduce carbon emissions in his first 100 days. Part four lays out plans to increase natural disaster spending and change federal disaster responses to “to make sure that we build back stronger after every disaster.”

“The costs of climate change will measure in the tens of trillions of dollars, in lives lost, and livelihoods devastated and destroyed,” reads the introduction section. “We are the first generation to feel the climate crisis, and the last generation with the ability to avert its worst impacts.”

$5 trillion may seem a bargain compared to the estimated $93 trillion price tag on the Green New Deal proposal put out by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., but keep in mind that the GND was an aspirational resolution, not actual policy proposal legislation right now. The estimate comes from the widely mocked supporting documents for the resolution rollout.

But in real terms, the proposed cost (which is an estimated total drawn up by O’Rourke’s campaign) is less than a cool trillion south of the total estimated cost of our post-9/11 wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. You know, the ones that started almost 20 years ago.

But that’s still not enough for some climate activists. The Sunrise Movement, a far-left environmental group, has criticized O’Rourke’s proposal for being too weak on carbon emissions and walking back more extreme promises that he already made.

“We’re glad to see Beto release a climate plan as his first policy and commit to making it a day one priority for his administration,” reads a statement from Sunrise Executive Director Varshini Prakash, who says that the plan is “out of line” with the emissions timeline laid out in the Green New Deal.

O’Rourke touted the “historic” climate change proposal at a campaign stop in Yosemite National Park, which he chronicled on Twitter.

Did He Lie? Officer at the Scene of Beto’s DWI Confirms He Tried to Flee the Wreck

By Daily Wire. As The Daily Wire’s Ryan Saavedra reported last August, then-Congressman Beto O’Rourke (D-TX), who was in the midst of a very expensive and tightly contested U.S. Senate race with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) at the time, was publicly revealed to have fled the scene of a dramatic DWI-induced car wreck scene that he had caused 20 years prior:

Democratic Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke’s 1998 arrest for drunk driving has been public knowledge for years, but a newly-revealed police report has brought to light even more allegations of disturbing details from the arrest.

The Houston Chronicle reported on Friday that newly-obtained police reports alleged “two elements of the incident that have been overlooked: that there was a crash involved, and that O’Rourke allegedly attempted to flee.”

But while O’Rourke admitted to the DWI, he persistently denied that he tried to flee the scene of the crash. Last September, PolitiFact rated O’Rourke’s denial “Mostly False”:

Records indicate O’Rourke was arrested at the scene and wasn’t charged with trying to flee. But the September 1998 Anthony Police Department report on the incident says a witness said O’Rourke tried to leave the scene before police arrived and the witness kept him from doing so.

Officers at Scene of Beto O’Rourke’s 1998 DWI Crash Say They Believe He Tried to Flee

By The Texas Tribune. The former police officer who arrested Beto O’Rourke for driving drunk in 1998, along with the sergeant who signed the incident report, both say they believe now what they reported at the time: that O’Rourke tried to leave the scene of the wreck he caused.

O’Rourke admits he was intoxicated and says there is no justification for his actions, but he has denied that he tried to flee.

“Beto’s DWI is something he has long publicly and openly addressed over the last 20 years at town halls, on the debate stage, during interviews and in Op-Eds, calling it a serious mistake for which there is no excuse,” said O’Rourke spokesman Chris Evans. “This has been widely and repeatedly reported on.”

Neither the investigating officer, Richard Carrera, nor his former supervisor, Gary Hargrove, specifically recalls the events of that night more than 20 years ago. But both of the former Anthony Police Department officers told The Texas Tribune they have no doubt the report they compiled and signed is accurate. . .

Carrera, 49, said after reading the police report, in which an unnamed witness claimed O’Rourke tried to flee in his Volvo, he has “no doubt that he tried to leave the scene.” (Read more from “Officers at Scene of Beto O’Rourke’s 1998 DWI Crash Say They Believe He Tried to Flee” HERE)
