CNN Says ‘Right Wing Terrorists’ Are Worse Than Islamist Terrorists Who Attacked on 9/11 — and Gets Brutal Backlash; Al Qaeda Leader Cheers 9/11 Attacks, as Search to Bring Him to Justice Continues

By The Blaze. CNN’s John Avlon faced a lot of backlash on social media after a bizarre segment where he tried to compare the attack on 9/11 to the threat of “right wing terrorism,” on the anniversary of the horrible attack.

“Here’s a startling statistic. Since 9/11, right wing terrorists have killed more people in the United States than jihadist terrorists,” Avlon said during the segment entitled “Reality Check.”

“There are some folks for who their, for their own political purposes would like to keep the focus on only one form of political violence over another, but that would be unwise because we don’t have the luxury of choosing which threats we face. And there’s a case to be made that these threats actually echo each other,” he continued. . .

“To mark the 18th anniversary of 9/11 is to reflect on how we’re all the children of 9/11. That attack unleashed destructive forces that we’re still wrestling with,” Avlon concluded. “But to truly learn the lessons of 9/11 is to resolve not to let hate win, or fear define us.” . . .

Many critics on social media replied that it was tone-deaf to try to twist the meaning of the 9/11 attacks on a different kind of terrorism altogether.

Al Qaeda Leader Cheers 9/11 Attacks

By NBC New York. Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri put out a video Wednesday to again cheer the slaughter of thousands of Americans on 9/11, 18 years ago.

The CIA and U.S. military is still trying to find the elusive Al Qaeda leader who is believed to be hiding in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region. Analysts believe he does not use cell phones and has little contact with the outside world in order to avoid being captured or killed. But al-Zawahiri is still releasing video and audio messages to try to inspire his thousands of followers, with three recordings released in just the last few weeks — including the one today.

In the tape released for 9/11, al-Zawahiri called the killing of 3,000 people in New York, the Pentagon and on the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania “blessed raids.”

As minority leader, New York Sen. Charles Schumer is one of the few leaders on Capitol Hill to get regular intelligence briefings on the hunt for al-Zawahiri.

“He was number two. He has the blood of thousands of Americans on his hands,” Schumer said of al-Zawahiri’s role back in 2001. Schumer said he is hopeful progress could soon be made in finally bringing al-Zawahiri to justice. WATCH: Analyst Says One Number in New Poll Should ‘Send a Chill down the Spine’ of Trump’s 2020 Campaign

By The Blaze. CNN political director David Chalian said that of all the numbers in a new CNN poll that one should send a “chill” down the spine of the re-election campaign for President Donal Trump.

According to the new poll published Tuesday, 60 percent of Americans polled said that the president did not deserve re-election, while only 36 percent said that the president did deserve re-election.

“Jake, this number I think may send a chill down the spine of the folks in Trump’s re-election headquarters,” said Chalian to Tapper.

Chalian also pointed out that in their new polling that the president’s favorability rating had fallen to 39 percent, which was the lowest since January.

Donald Trump’s Approval Rating Drops Below 40 Percent in Three New Polls

By Newsweek. President Donald Trump’s approval rating has dropped below 40 percent in three new polls amid rising concerns of a looming recession.

A new ABC News/Washington Post poll, released Tuesday, shows Trump’s approval rating at 38 percent among Americans, with 56 percent disapproving of his performance in the Oval Office. Conducted in early September, the results come as Americans have become increasingly concerned that the U.S.’ trade war with China may cause a recession in the coming months.

The president’s approval rating stands at 39 percent, according to a new CNN/SSRS poll, also released on Tuesday, with 55 percent disapproving of the president’s performance. Compared to CNN/SSRS’ last poll, Trump’s approval rating dropped by one percentage point, while his disapproval rating rose by one point.

Gallup’s latest figures also has Trump’s approval rating at 39 percent, with 57 percent of respondents disapproving of the president’s job performance. Conducted between August 15-30, the results show a two percent drop in Trump’s approval rating from last month, which had him at 41 percent. The Ratings Are in for CNN’s Town Hall on Climate Change and They Are Not Good; Pete Buttigieg Says It’s a ‘Kind of Sin’ to Deny Global Warming

By The Blaze. If the public’s concern for climate change can be measured by the ratings for CNN’s marathon climate town hall event, then there’s some very bad news for global warming enthusiasts.

Not only did the seven-hour event do poorly in the ratings, but the Fox News channel dominated in early ratings from Nielsen for the time period from 5 p.m. to midnight on Wednesday.

Fox News garnered 2.5 million viewers on average for the time period, which was more than double the average for CNN at 1.1 million viewers.

Fox News also had no special programming for the night.

Even MSNBC did better than CNN, with 1.6 million viewers on average. (Read more from “The Ratings Are in for CNN’s Town Hall on Climate Change and They Are Not Good” HERE)

Pete Buttigieg Says It’s a ‘Kind of Sin’ to Deny Global Warming

By The Blaze. Pete Buttigieg was praised by many on the left for using religious language during CNN’s climate change town hall, including the assertion that it was a “kind of sin” for skeptics to deny climate change.

“Let’s talk in language that is understood across the heartland about faith,” said Buttigieg, an openly gay presidential candidate.

“You know, if you believe that God is watching as poison is being belched into the air of creation, and people are being harmed by it — countries are at risk of vanishing in low-lying areas — what do you suppose God thinks of that?” he asked rhetorically. . .

“And you don’t have to be religious to see the moral dimensions of this, because frankly, every religious and non-religious moral tradition tell us that we have some responsibility of stewardship, some responsibility for taking care of what’s around us,” he continued. . .

“At least one way of talking about this is that it’s a kind of sin,” Buttigieg concluded.

CNN Lost Their Mind (Again): Guess How Long Their Climate Change Town Hall Is

Just when we thought CNN couldn’t get any more pathetic, they prove us wrong…again. The network on Tuesday announced their climate change town hall. The debate, scheduled for Sept. 4th will be seven hours long. Yes, seven hours. The reason? The network wants to give each of the 10 candidates ample time to respond to questions during this “unprecedented prime-time event.”

Each of the 10 candidates will be given 40 minutes to discuss their plans to address climate change. Hosts Wolf Blitzer, Erin Burnett, Anderson Cooper, Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon will act as moderators. . .

CNN announced the town hall after the Democratic National Committee voted overwhelmingly last week not to host a debate focused on the issue.

Let’s be clear about this: CNN is delusional if they think people are going to watch a seven hour town hall. People can barely handle three hour long debates. But you know what they say… desperate times call for desperate measures. Their ratings are down the toilet and they need something to help revive them. Witness Claims He Saw CNN Anchor Sexually Assault Man

The sexual assault allegations that surfaced last week against CNN’s Don Lemon appear to be gaining more credibility as the alleged victim’s boss has come forward claiming that he witnessed the incident. . .

Now, George Gounelas, who was [victim Dustin] Hice’s boss at the time, has come forward and corroborated the allegations that his former employee has made against the CNN host.

“Dustin worked for me as a bartender [and] we went out after work one night. We were standing there and he said, ‘Hey, that’s Don Lemon,'” Gounelas told Fox News. “Murf’s is a place you go to drink after you’ve been out drinking. We had just gotten off of work. So that’s why we ended up there, because we worked in the restaurant business. So by the time everything is done, we can only hit a late-night spot.” . . .

Gounelas told Fox News that Lemon appeared to be drunk and that he said something to Hice that was “along the lines of ‘Do you like me? Is that why you’re bothering me, because you wanna f*** me?'”

“He put his hands down his pants, inside his board shorts, grabbed his [genitals], and then came out with two fingers and, like, clipped Dustin’s nose up and down with two fingers asking ‘do you like p**** or d***?'” Gounelas told Fox News. Trump Lashes out at Gay Shepard Smith, Says Fake News CNN Is Better, OANN Is Best

President Trump on Wednesday renewed his criticism of Fox News anchor Shepard Smith, arguing that “Fake News CNN is better” and saying that he now tunes in to the conservative news outlet One America News Network whenever he gets the chance.

“Watching Fake News CNN is better than watching Shepard Smith, the lowest rated show on @FoxNews,” Trump tweeted on a day when he visited first responders and survivors of mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio. “Actually, whenever possible, I turn to [One America News Network]!”

It was not immediately clear what Trump’s tweet — which came during Smith’s daily program and while Trump was aboard Air Force One to El Paso — was referencing. . .

Trump has repeatedly denounced the media during his presidency, often referring to it as “fake news” and the “enemy of the people.” But he has consistently praised Fox News and network hosts such as Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson. He has taken a different view of Smith, though. . .

Smith has consistently taken a critical view of Trump during his two-plus years in the White House. Among other things, he fact-checked Trump’s prime-time address on border security in January during his daily news program. Watch: Dramatic Footage as CNN Crew Is Caught Between Police and Protesters in Violent Clash

A CNN crew [was] covering the ongoing Hong Kong protests, which have more than once proved violent over the months. On Friday, thousands took over an airport, clad in black, and tensions escalated quickly.

CNN correspondent Anna Coren was on scene at the airport, clad in protective gear, when fears of violence turned to the reality of it, and she and her crew were right in the middle. . .

“Let me tell you what is happening. We have just been charged by riot police, up the escalator, into the train station, this is absolute mayhem,” she said. “They have just come at the protesters, wielding batons, spraying pepper spray. It is pandemonium inside here.”

“I have no idea how they are planning to disperse these crowds. It is absolute chaos,” she said. “Absolutely chaotic scene. I have never witnessed anything quite like this, where there was a peaceful, peaceful demonstration inside. These protesters, they are not trashing anything, all they were doing is standing here. They were being pushed on. Then all of sudden these riot police charged.”

Protecting Dems: CNN Releases Pathetic Rules for Next Debate

By Breitbart. CNN released the outline for the second round of Democrat primary debates Tuesday evening, but some of the rules have critics wondering if the network is rushing to protect Democrats.

The debates – scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET July 30 and 31 in Detroit – have different rules than the first, with CNN banning shows of hands, one-word responses, and down-the-line questions. Candidates will get 60 seconds to respond to moderator questions and 30 seconds for rebuttals. Additionally, candidates who “consistently” interrupt will have their time reduced. . .

Some believe these rules – particularly banning show of hands responses – are an effort to protect certain candidates or hide some of the candidates’ more extreme positions.

WATCH: CNN Host Forced to ADMIT Child Immigrant Detention Happened Under Obama

CNN anchor John King admitted what many liberal critics of President Donald Trump refuse to acknowledge about controversial migrant child detention in a segment Tuesday.

“I just want to remind people, that under president Trump, Democrats don’t like anything he says about immigration, he’s had problems with his own party on immigration,” King explained.

“But this particular issue is not new. I just want to go back, this is an interview, going back to 2014, with the then-Democratic president of the United States,” he added.

“There are some Democrats who come to the table and say Trump created this crisis, this is all about Trump,” King continued. “Alright, maybe it escalated under Trump, the numbers are certainly higher under Trump, but this has been a problem the United States government has had to figure out a solution to, for a very long time.” . . .

“Oh, our message absolutely is don’t send your children unaccompanied on trains,” he said, “or through a bunch of smugglers, that is our direct message to families in Central America, do not send your children to the borders. If they do make it, they’ll get sent back…”
