Kamala Harris: Look I Had a Huge Staff So It Was Hard to Notice My Aides Sexually Harassing People

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) stopped by CNN, speaking to host Jake Tapper, among other things, about her new book, The Truths We Hold. Harris is a potential 2020 candidate, so this book dropping prior to some national run is not all that surprising. The work is being criticized though, however, as a platitudinous mess. And if National Public Radio is saying there are issues with it, you know it’s probably a wreck:

There’s also some careful elision of facts. For example, Harris talks about her frustration with immigration policy in 2014, when “a big push was coming out of DC to expedite the decision-making process so that they could quickly turn undocumented kids and families back.”

Readers who have paid close attention to history might remember that in 2014, the president was Barack Obama. And while in other parts of her book Harris approvingly name-checks Obama — a popular guy whom she might want to deliver a stump speech or two — she forgets to name him here.

Harris is seen as one of the main faces of the Me Too movement, and someone who was part of the blitz against Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee who was besieged by evidence-free or uncorroborated allegations of sexual misconduct. She was a participant and actor in a coordinated political assassination attempt. Yet, like all Democrats, she got scum thrown in her face. One of her top aides resigned of sexual harassment. The wolf was in the hen house. The war on women has always been coming from inside the house. These liberals are perched high on their altar of self-righteousness until reality smashes their faces bloody. The Left has a rape and sexual harassment problem. The sleaze is everywhere. From the boardrooms of CBS (Hi, Les Moonves) to Hollywood and the New York Attorney General’s office. But how dare the Republicans pass legislation to protect unborn children. It’s the Handmaid’s Tale, alternatively called “a show that no one watches,” except that it’s not. Oh, Brother: CNN Believes Trump Violated Ethics, Campaign Laws During Visit to Iraq

Everyone’s favorite reporter, CNN White House Correspondent Jim Acosta, filled in for Wolf Blitzer on Wednesday. During the program, Acosta went into detail about why he thought President Donald Trump violated ethics and campaign laws during his trip to Iraq to visit American troops.

And now, CNN has an issue with it, as evidenced by their constant coverage and the remarks made by their reporters and contributors. . .

“Is that unusual, to see the President doing that on base? Does this run the risk of the President, you know, facing some accusations that he’s turning some of this into a campaign stop? What do you think,” Acosta asked CNN Pentagon correspondent Barbara Starr.

“The pool reporters traveling said that the troops brought the hats with them, including one hat that said ‘Trump 2020. We will have to see if that actually proves to be the case. The question is, if they brought them or if the President brought them: What commander allowed that to really happen?” Starr asked. “Troops are not supposed to be involved in political activities. The U.S. military is not a political force.”

Winner of CNN’s ‘Journalist of the Year’ Award Admits He Made up Reports

By Daily Wire. A recent winner of CNN’s “Journalist of the Year” has admitted to fabricating reports for years “on a grand scale” while at Der Spiegel, a German publication, which warned his other media organizations may have been affected.

“Claas Relotius, a reporter and editor, falsified his articles on a grand scale and even invented characters, deceiving both readers and his colleagues,” Der Spiegel reported. “This has been uncovered as a result of tips, internal research and, ultimately, a comprehensive confession by the editor himself.”

The publications said that suspicions grew after a November report by Relotius “about an American vigilante group that patrols the border between Mexico and the United States.”

A co-author on the report said that he observed Relotius’ behavior and grew distrustful, then reported what happened, which led to the publication confronting him.

“Claas Relotius committed his deception intentionally, methodically and with criminal intent,” Der Spiegel continued. “For example, he included individuals in his stories who he had never met or spoken to, telling their stories or quoting them. Instead, he would reveal, he based the depictions on other media or video recordings. By doing so, he created composite characters of people who actually did exist but whose stories Relotius had fabricated. He also made up dialogue and quotes.” (Read more from “Winner of CNN’s ‘Journalist of the Year’ Award Admits He Made up Reports” HERE)

Poll: 77 Percent Say Major News Outlets Report ‘Fake News’

By Politico. President Donald Trump is not alone in thinking media outlets spread “fake news.”

More than 3-in-4 of 803 American respondents, or 77 percent, said they believe that major traditional television and newspaper media outlets report “fake news,” according to a Monmouth University poll released Monday, marking a sharp increase in distrust of those news organizations from a year ago, when 63 percent registered concerns about the spread of misinformation.

Among those, 31 percent said they believe those media outlets spread “fake news” regularly, and 46 percent said it happens occasionally.

The findings also showed Americans diverging on what constitutes “fake news,” with 65 percent saying it applies broadly to the editorial decisions outlets make over what topics to cover and 25 percent more narrowly defining it to apply only to the spread of factually incorrect information. Democrat Rep Admits to Wanting to Regulate Free Speech

. . .[Dem Rep. Ted] Lieu made the comment while talking to CNN’s Brianna Keilar about Tuesday’s House Judiciary Committee hearing with Google CEO Sundar Pichai.

Keilar opened the exchange with an extremely long question which managed to (1) dismiss Republican concerns about Google (2) compliment Lieu for a stunt he used to dismiss Republican concerns about Google and (3) still criticize Google for how it manages its searches. Here’s how it went:

Keilar: You took an opportunity to push back on Republican claims of bias in Google searches. In the middle of this hearing you Googled Republican Steve Scalise, you Googled, after that, Republican Steve King to show that there were favorable stories, including from conservative outlets, about Scalise, negative coverage of King, and you made the point, essentially, that that’s not because of a Google algorithm, it’s because of what these members do and say. I will say, it was clever, and caught some attention, but I wonder, have you thought that, maybe, you and other Democrats missed opportunities to use your time to press Google’s CEO at a time when these large tech companies are struggling to manage content, perpetuating conspiracy theories, they’re so vulnerable to outside interference, isn’t that a focus that could’ve been a missed opportunity?

Lieu: So it’s a very good point you make. I would love, if I could have more than five minutes, to question witnesses. Unfortunately, I don’t get that opportunity. However, I would love to be able to regulate the content of speech. The First Amendment prevents me from doing so, and that’s simply a function of the First Amendment, but I think over the long run, it’s better the government does not regulate the content of speech. I would urge these private sector companies to regulate it better themselves. That’s really nothing I believe government can do, so that’s been my position all along.

Watch: CNN Reporter Appears to Use Sexual Slur, Immediately Claims He Doesn’t Know What It Means

By Don Lemon. CNN’s Don Lemon immediately walked back an apparent sexual slur that he used on Wednesday night while appearing on a segment on CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time.”

The segment originally started out with Cuomo talking about PETA’s list of “anti-animal language” and then transitioned into talking about “more serious things.”

At the end of the segment, Lemon told Cuomo: “Don’t be a chickenhead.”

The term “chickenhead” is a slang derogatory term that is used to describe someone who likes performing oral sex on a man and is considered to be especially degrading toward women.

THROWBACK: Don Lemon Didn’t Just Victim-Blame–He Perpetuated Multiple Rape Myths

By TIME. On Tuesday, CNN’s Don Lemon interviewed Joan Tarshis, one of more than a dozen women who have come forward over several years to accuse Bill Cosby of sexual assault. These allegations resurfaced after a comedian pointedly commented on them during a routine. This, in turn, prompted Barbara Bowman to ask publicly in an op-ed in The Washington Post, “Bill Cosby raped me. Why did it take 30 years for people to believe my story?” Former supermodel Janice Dickinson is now the 15th woman to come forward with allegations.

The allegations are hardly new, and the interview could have been an occasion for a serious and nuanced conversation about rape, about how survivors respond to and survive assault and about well-documented techniques used by serial abusers. Instead, what proceeded was appalling. Lemon, in a few brief lines, blamed the victim for not stopping her assault, while also managing to subtly convey a whole series of rape myths.

Lemon’s most repugnant suggestion was this: “You know, there are ways not to perform oral sex.” He went on to clarify that he meant the “using of the teeth” as a “weapon” to stop the alleged assault. Put crassly, “Why didn’t you bite his dick if you didn’t want to perform oral sex?” Lemon continued, “If you didn’t want to do it…” In other words, “you really wanted it.” (Read more from “THROWBACK: Don Lemon Didn’t Just Victim-Blame–He Perpetuated Multiple Rape Myths” HERE)

Watch: Trump Supporters ‘Attacked’ During Protest

By The Blaze. Outside of the CNN headquarters in Atlanta, some Trump supporters were there in MAGA hats and carrying signs protesting “fake news” over the weekend when a man bumrushed them, apparently in an anti-Trump or pro-CNN rage.

Patrick Howley posted the video at Big League Politics this weekend, and we’ve put “attack” in quotes because, well, as The Right Scoop put it in their post, “it’s almost laughable because the guy is so pathetic.”

The key here, of course, being “almost” laughable, because it’s also insane and overwrought and a sign of how bad things are . . .

You can hear the guy, once he’s on the ground and pepper sprayed and busted, feebly yelling “Fox News is fake news.” (Read more from “Watch: Trump Supporters ‘Attacked’ During Protest” HERE)

Supporter Assaulted While Wearing Trump Hat

By The Hill. An Arizona man said he was assaulted recently while wearing one of President Trump’s “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) hats.

Jonathan Sparks said he was walking in downtown Tucson, Ariz., wearing one of Trump’s signature red campaign hats and holding a pro-GOP sign before last week’s midterm elections when he was attacked, KVOA News 4 reported Tuesday.

“I felt a very strong grasp on my hat. It pulled me back and grabbed a lot of hair,” Sparks said. “The assailant jumped onto my ankle from behind and so I, not knowing my ankle was broken into four pieces, I turned around to grab and take the hat back.”

Sparks told the TV station that he and the assailant both fell to the ground.

“Then I heard the words Hitler, Nazi and Trump. He was shouting things like that,” Sparks said. “He came over the top of me and over and over again, he hit me.”

White Women Who Support Trump Are White Supremacists, According to CNN

God bless the work that the good people at Newsbusters do on a daily basis – watching liberal crap on TV and calling out leftist nonsense so that the rest of America does not have to. This time, Newsbusters’ Brad Wilmouth snagged a clip from Friday night of CNN’s Don Lemon’s panel of liberal hacks (except one) accusing white, pro-Trump women of being racist fools who support white supremacy. . .

Liberal contributor Kirsten Powers argued that such women must be “racist” because they voted for Trump, while UC Berkeley Professor Stephanie Jones-Rogers argued that women have long benefited from “white supremacy” even while being “oppressed” by white men. Alice Stewart was the exception to the liberal rule.

Kirsten Powers admonished white women for bad behavior. Despite also being “oppressed” under white patriarchy, Powers asserted that white women vote in ways that harm other disadvantaged groups because their “fathers…husbands…and brothers” are benefiting from systemic racism and thus they are as well. . .

I think we have to recognize that white men are doing it as well, but sometimes I think that we would hope that we would get better behavior from white women because white women are themselves are oppressed and that they would be able to align themselves with other oppressed people.

I think we have to remember that the white patriarchal system actually benefits white women in a lot of ways, and they are attached to white men who are benefiting from the system that was created by them, for them. And their fathers and their husbands and their brothers are benefiting from the system, and so they are also benefiting.

WOW! Trump BLOWS UP at Jim Acosta: ‘You Are a Rude, Terrible Person’

Wednesday at a press conference about the 2018 midterm elections, President Donald Trump blew up at CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta.

Acosta asked a question about the migrant caravan traveling to the United States and repeatedly challenged the president as he attempted to answer. Trump became frustrated with Acosta’s antics.

“Honestly, I think you should let me run the country, you run CNN, and if you did it well your ratings would be much better,” Trump said.

Acosta attempted to ask another question about the Mueller probe, but Trump dismissed him by repeatedly saying, “That’s enough,” and motioning for Acosta’s microphone to be handed to another reporter.

Here’s the scene from a different angle. As a female aide attempts to take the microphone away, Acosta brushes her aside.

Acosta continued to ask questions, including whether Trump was “concerned” about potential indictments coming from the Mueller probe.

“I’ll tell you what, CNN should be ashamed of itself having you working for them,” Trump said. “You are a rude, terrible person. You shouldn’t be working for CNN.” (For more from the author of “Wow! Trump Blows up at Jim Acosta: ‘You Are a Rude, Terrible Person’” please click HERE)

Don Lemon Doubles Down on His Fact-Challenged ‘White Men’ Demonizing

On Wednesday in the WTF MSM!? newsletter, I wrote about Don Lemon attacking “white men” as the “biggest terror threat in this country.” Last night, Lemon not only defended his attack but doubled down on his nonsense, saying we don’t need to worry about people 1,000 miles away; the biggest threats are home-grown. In all of this, Lemon is trying to paint President Donald Trump and others as racist for focusing on the illegal immigrant caravan set to invade the southern border. The facts are not on Lemon’s side.

Here’s Lemon’s take from last night on his CNN program.

Here are the numbers on violent domestic terrorism, as compiled by the Anti-Defamation League, for 2017. The ADL puts the number of 2017 deaths caused by adherents of extreme ideologies in the United States at 34. Included in these deaths are domestic incidents that were seemingly unrelated to the hateful ideologies of the perpetrators.

The ADL goes on to further identify 18 of these incidents as perpetrated by white supremacists and two others as perpetrated by “right-wing”-affiliated persons. The rest were by Islamic extremists or black nationalists.

In 2016 and 2015, the jihadist attacks at the Pulse Nightclub and in San Bernardino pushed the total number of extremist-related deaths higher than previous averages.

Where does the threat from 1,000 miles away compare to this number? The mainstream media has repeatedly mischaracterized the president’s remarks about MS-13 being “animals” as his opinion of all immigrants. What are the numbers on recent MS-13 crime? According to a report by Jessica Vaughn of the Center for Immigration studies, from 2012 to the release of her report in February 2018, there were 207 murder charges related to MS-13 activity in the country.

That’s an average of over 30 murders per year attributed to a Latin America-based transnational gang operating in the United States. This is higher than the number attributed to white supremacists by the ADL.

These numbers don’t include various other Latin America-based drug cartels like the Sinaloa, Tijuana, Juarez, Knights Templar, Gulf, and other cartels. In 2014 just one hit man for a cartel confessed to up to 40 murders he committed in the United States during a trial in Mexico.

White supremacy and violence by its adherents are reprehensible and should not be swept under any rug. But it’s a fact that transnational gang and cartel activity, which comes from Latin America, including through illegal immigration, is a significant domestic security issue, no matter how much Don Lemon and others in the mainstream media claim it is not. Highlighting the heinous crimes of one set of individuals does not mean you support the other. CNN Host: The Biggest Terror Threat in This Country Is White Men

CNN host Don Lemon is under fire after a disturbing, on-air rant in which he declared that “white men” are the biggest terror threat to the United States, noted that “there is no white-guy ban” and wondered aloud, “what do we do about that?”

“Cuomo Prime Time” host Chris Cuomo and Lemon were discussing the recent shooting of two black men in Kentucky that is being investigated as a hate crime when his Monday guest and colleague took the conversation off the rails.

Fox News contributor Deroy Murdock said the racism coming from the left and mainstream media has become “breathtaking,” pointing to Lemon’s comment as the latest example.

“Lemon’s latest spurt of acid is a most unusual plea for national unity. ‘We have to stop demonizing people,’ and then, just two words later, a blast of divisiveness worthy of a machete,” Murdock said. “Painting with a roller rather than a mere broad brush, Lemon slams millions of his fellow Americans. He does not say they are wrong, mistaken, or misinformed. Rather, that are a ‘terror threat.’” . . .

Lemon has already been widely condemned for different rhetoric on Monday’s episode of “CNN Tonight.” Lemon injected race into a discussion of topics including the anti-Semitic, Trump-hating gunman who killed 11 worshipers in a Pittsburgh synagogue last week and the Trump supporter suspected of sending mail bombs to Democrats.
