CNN: Democrats Have to Run on Abortion and Jan 6 Because They ‘Can’t Fight on the Economy’

A CNN reporter admitted that Democrats are being forced to run on the issues of abortion and the Jan. 6 rioting at the U.S. Capitol because the economy is so bad.

The CNN panel was discussing Democrats’ chances in the midterm elections when reporter Kasie Hunt made a blunt assessment on the only messaging available to candidates on the left.

“The one thing I will say is that if you talk to and you listen to what vulnerable Democrats, especially in House seats, are starting to say … is that they don’t feel that the party has really come up with a good economic message from the top,” said Kasie Hunt.

Trump Slaps CNN With Massive Defamation Lawsuit

Former President Donald Trump is suing CNN for defamation, seeking at least $475 million in punitive damages, according to a court filing on Monday.

Trump’s lawyers claim in the lawsuit that the cable news network has recently increased a campaign of libel and slander against Trump due to fear that he will run for president again in 2024. The former president sued the news outlet in federal court in Florida.

“Beyond simply highlighting any negative information about the plaintiff and ignoring all positive information about him, CNN has sought to use its massive influence — purportedly as a ‘trusted’ news source — to defame the plaintiff in the minds of its viewers and readers for the purpose of defeating him politically,” Trump’s lawyers wrote.

Some of the “ever-more scandalous, false, and defamatory labels” that the news outlet has given to the former president include “‘racist,’ ‘Russian lackey,’ ‘insurrectionist,’ and ultimately ‘Hitler,’” Trump’s lawyers said in the lawsuit. Former Fox News Host Bombs in CNN Debut

A new show hosted by former Fox News host and current CNN host Chris Wallace fell flat in its debut.

Nielsen Media Research tracked ratings for Wallace’s show, Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace, which debuted on CNN Sunday. The ratings show that there were 401,000 viewers, down 29% from the average, and 44,000 among those aged 25 to 54, down 64% from the average.

Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy, a long-standing Fox News program that aired at the same time as Wallace’s, received 1.3 million viewers and 78,000 viewers aged 25 to 54.

CNN Contributor Dean Obeidallah Marks 9/11 by Comparing Trump, MAGA to Bin Laden, Terrorists

Left-wing radio host and CNN contributor Dean Obeidallah commemorated the 9/11 terror attacks with several posts equating former President Donald Trump and “MAGA” Republicans with the Islamic terrorists behind the deadly 2001 attacks.

Marking the 21st anniversary of the September 11 attacks that saw Islamic terrorists kill nearly 3,000 Americans, left-wing commentator Dean Obeidallah posted a series of tweets comparing the former president and his supporters to al-Qaeda and then-leader Osama bin Laden. . .

In another post, he compared the former president’s right to “freely travel” in the United States to granting that same right to al-Qaeda founder Bin Laden.

“Take a moment and imagine if after 9/11, Bin Laden were allowed to freely travel America, spewing lies in an effort to radicalize more people to commit violence in his name?!” he wrote. Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) said Friday on CNN’s “The Lead” that former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo no longer has a moral center.

Discussing his interview with the House Select Committee investigating January 6, 2021 Thursday on Fox News, Pompeo said, “They were chasing witches, right? They were looking for discussions about the 25th Amendment, discussions that I never seriously undertook with any of my counterparts. Trump to Sue CNN

Former President Donald Trump notified CNN of his intention to file a lawsuit against the network for “repeated defamatory statements” in a statement Wednesday.

Ifrah Law, a Washington-based law firm, filed a Notice of Intent ordering the network, under Florida Statute § 770.02, to “publish a full and fair correction, apology, or retraction” in published pieces or broadcasts that allegedly made “false statements” about the former president. The notice warned that failure to issue an apology will result in a lawsuit.

“Failure to publish such a correction, apology, or retraction will result in the filing of a lawsuit and damages being sought against you, CNN,” the document warned.

Trump warned he will be suing other media outlets that have “defamed and defrauded the public” about the 2020 presidential election results.

“I have notified CNN of my intent to file a lawsuit over their repeated defamatory statements against me,” Trump said. “I will also be commencing actions against other media outlets who have defamed me and defrauded the public regarding the overwhelming evidence of fraud throughout the 2020 Election. Discussing testimony that Trump told the White House photographer not to take pictures on January 6, Coates said, “The president is saying ‘do not show what’s happening here.’ Are you gleeful? Are you rejoicing? Go back to December 18, that consequential meeting. This was the plan. January 6 was the culmination of a plan and an effort. It sounds very clear from their testimony to try to use a last-ditch effort to ignore the fact that the judges told you no, that there was no evidence, your attorney general told you there’s no there there. Then he said why would I have stopped what I have set in motion? I mean, inertia is the thing in motion stays in motion. He doesn’t want it to stop. Fact Check: Bennie Thompson Falsely Claims Police ‘Killed’ in Capitol Riot

VERDICT: FALSE. While some rioters attacked police, they did not kill any; the only person killed was a fellow rioter.

The January 6 Committee held its eighth public hearing on Thursday, and its second in prime time. The event was billed as a crucial moment, the last scheduled hearing and one in which damning evidence would be revealed about Trump’s role.

VP Harris Gives Chillingly Unclear Interview on Biden Admin Expanding Abortion (VIDEO)

On Monday afternoon, Vice President Kamala Harris sat down for an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash. Predictably, they discussed the fallout from the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade with the Dobbs v. Jackson decision.

The Biden administration has been looking to do what it can to expand abortion access despite the Dobbs decision. As the vice president revealed at one point during Monday’s interview, they are “looking at” what Bash described as “financial resources” in the form of a voucher program for women looking to travel to other states to have an abortion if it is not as easily accessible in their home state.

Harris called Bash’s question about the vouchers “a very important point” and explained it had to do with “ensuring women have the ability to actually travel without impairment.”

On Friday’s “CNN Newsroom,” co-host and Chief National Security Correspondent Jim Sciutto reported that after the leak of the Supreme Court’s draft opinion on Roe v. Wade, “Capitol Police are warning the far right is calling for violence against a religious group planning to rally for abortion rights.”

Sciutto stated, “This morning, law enforcement officials are preparing for potential violence in the capital and nationwide after the leak of that Supreme Court draft opinion that would strike down Roe v. Jen Psaki Leaving White House in Just Days, Replaced by Lesbian Living With CNN Gal

Jen Psaki soon is leaving her job as White House spokeswoman, apparently to become a commentator at MSNBC.

So Joe Biden has picked Karine Jean-Pierre as her replacement, and she comes with a long leftist history of work for MoveOn.org, the American Civil Liberties Union and MSNBC, and also fills out quota demands in two categories, she’s LGBT and black.

The Daily Mail reported Jean-Pierre has been deputy press secretary for Biden, but will take over the top slot when Psaki leaves May 13.

The report noted that there have been suggestions Psaki is joining “left-wing television network MSNBC,” but that wasn’t confirmed.

Jean-Pierre, 44 is the first black female White House press secretary and the first “openly “LGBT” person there, the report said.
