Federal Reserve: Businesses Say Vaccine Mandates Are Hurting Employment

The Federal Reserve on Thursday said that businesses have reported COVID-19 vaccine mandates have hurt employment and are contributing to labor supply problems—even before President Joe Biden’s previously announced vaccine mandate for private businesses goes into effect.

While employment increased at a modest to moderate rate in recent weeks, the Fed’s so-called Beige Book noted that the U.S. economy has been “dampened by a low supply of workers,” partially due to vaccine mandates.

“Transportation and technology firms saw particularly low labor supply, while many retail, hospitality, and manufacturing firms cut hours or production because they did not have enough workers,” its report summary said. “Firms reported high turnover, as workers left for other jobs or retired. Child-care issues and vaccine mandates were widely cited as contributing to the problem, along with COVID-related absences.”

Individual Fed banks said they have heard of employees quitting over mandates. While the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia reported that few businesses lost employees over the mandates, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta reported that companies were worried that implementing a vaccine requirement could cost them workers.

“Most employers shared that they would like to implement COVID-19 vaccine mandates but were concerned about losing employees,” the Atlanta Fed said in the report. “Worries about employee mental health, burnout, safety, and vaccine mandates impacting company culture were mentioned.” (Read more from “Federal Reserve: Businesses Say Vaccine Mandates Are Hurting Employment” HERE)

By WND. . .[T]he most aggressive actions against the “unvaxxed” are being taken by colleges and universities, including the threat from Colorado State University officials that students could be arrested for trespassing, a move that sounds suspiciously like a “Big Brother” government that in novels instills fear in everyone. . .

The school recently sent hundreds of letters to students who apparently had not yet given school officials their latest and more accurate COVID-19 details.

The school threat started out: “I am writing to you on behalf of Student Conduct Services at the Student Resolution Center because information provided to our office by the Pandemic Preparedness Team indicates you have not submitted your proof of vaccination or requested an exemption. Since your non-compliance with this requirement poses a threat to the safety and well-being of the university community, the following interim measure applies to you.”

It then states a “trespass order.”

“Effective immediately, you are trespassed from all university property until May 16, 2022. This means you are not permitted to be on any university property or in any university buildings, this includes but is not limited to, residence halls, university apartments, dining halls, in-person classes, the Morgan Library, the Rec Center, and the Lory Student Center. Please note that faculty are not required to make alternative arrangements for the students to complete their course work away from campus while you are trespassed from campus. College students at schools across America are lashing out against ongoing COVID-19 rules that include tracking them with apps, restricting their travel, threatening them with arrest unless they disclose their vaccination status, and making them leave the classroom if they want to take a sip of water. . .

The University of Southern California, where fees are $60,446 a year, will not allow students to even take sips of water in class because it means they would have to slip their masks down to their chins. They must leave the room if they want to have a drink. . .

Many students say the rules are an ‘overreach’ by college staff and a violation of their privacy.

They have organized Change.org petitions to reverse rules like a mandatory ‘bio button’ at Oakland University in Michigan that would give schools student health data but also track their movements. . .

By The Federalist. Like President Biden, who said in December 2020, “I don’t think it should be mandatory, I wouldn’t demand it be mandatory,” I was opposed to COVID-19 vaccine mandates from the start. Unlike President Biden, I haven’t flip-flopped. . .

I have been in contact with Lt. Col. Theresa Long, an Army flight surgeon. Her affidavit, which was part of an amended filing in a lawsuit against the military regarding vaccine mandates and injuries in the military, was made public in late September and describes only a small portion of the alarming story she has to tell.

As a result of her efforts to alert her superiors, she is now a pariah to her senior command, and her medical license is being attacked merely for speaking out. The day before her superiors canceled all her appointments with patients, two out of five aviators she saw had developed pericarditis shortly after vaccination, only reporting their symptoms because they read an affidavit online. She has much more to tell but is under a gag order imposed by the military. . .

Last week, I received a letter from a Wisconsin constituent who is a pilot for a U.S.-based airline. His testimonial raises serious concerns regarding airline safety and demonstrates why we can add a growing pilot shortage to the self-inflicted harms of the vaccine mandate.

Department of Labor Releases Bulletin About Potential COVID Vaccine Injuries

The Department of Labor has posted a bulletin, dated October 1, 2021, about how the federal government will handle potential injuries inflicted on federal workers by Wuhan coronavirus vaccines.

President Joe Biden mandated the vaccination for all federal workers and contractors by December 8. The subject line of the bulletin reads, “Coverage for Injuries Resulting from the COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate for Federal Employees.”

“The Federal Employees’ Compensation Act (FECA) covers injuries that occur in the performance of duty. The FECA does not generally authorize provision of preventive measures such as vaccines and inoculations, and in general, preventive treatment is a responsibility of the employing agency under the provisions of 5 U.S.C. 7901. However, care can be authorized by OWCP for complications of preventive measures which are provided or sponsored by the agency, such as adverse reaction to prophylactic immunization,” the bulletin states. “Further, deleterious effects of medical services furnished by the employing establishment are generally considered to fall within the performance of duty. These services include preventive programs relating to health.”

“However, this executive order now makes COVID-19 vaccination a requirement of most Federal employment. As such, employees impacted by this mandate who receive required COVID-19 vaccinations on or after the date of the executive order may be afforded coverage under the FECA for any adverse reactions to the vaccine itself, and for any injuries sustained while obtaining the vaccination,” it continues. Colin Powell Dies of COVID Despite Being Fully Vaccinated

Gen. Colin Powell, former secretary of state, died Monday at 84 years of age from COVID-related complications, even though he was fully vaccinated, his family announced. . .

Powell was afflicted with other diseases, including Parkinson’s and the blood cancer multiple myeloma, which could hamper recovery from COVID-19 infection, according to reports. His family didn’t specify when Powell received vaccine, or whether he had taken a booster shot.

Also, studies have shown that certain patients with weak immune systems don’t always elicit substantial levels of COVID-19 vaccine-induced antibodies, and regulators in August authorized a third dose of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for certain vulnerable patients, like solid organ transplant recipients, patients taking treatment for blood cancers or tumors, among other patients with conditions considered to have a similar level of immunocompromise, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Pfizer Auditor Blows Lid on Vaccine Maker, Reveals Why She Decided To Come Forward; NBA Player Reveals Reaction To COVID Vaccine Ended His Season

By Townhall. A Pfizer whistleblower said that she decided to expose her company after a decade of working for them because she feels that people are not making informed decisions about what goes into their body.

Melissa McAtee told The Daily Wire’s Candace Owens that she had damming information on Pfizer, which recently had their COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Food and Drug Administration, but did not elect to reveal it until another whistleblower for the company spoke on why they had come forward. . .

McAtee, who was a quality auditor at Pfizer, noticed that the vaccine was glowing under a certain light and, even after alerting the company, the issue was still ignored. She also noted that fellow employees who had worked at the company for upwards of 40 years had never seen what was going on with this vaccine.

She said in a Project Veritas interview made public last week that internal Pfizer emails from high-level employees instructed workers not to reveal to the public the role aborted fetal cells played in the development of its coronavirus vaccine. . .

NBA Player Reveals Adverse Reaction to COVID Vaccine Ended Season

By WND. Amid the controversy over basketball superstar Kyrie Irving’s refusal to take a COVID-19 vaccine, a former NBA player says his season ended early last year after he developed blood clots he attributes to a COVID shot.

Brandon Goodwin, who was a point guard for the Atlanta Hawks, recently told his side of the story on a Twitch stream, SB Nation reported. . .
“I got sick and I never quite recovered from it,” Goodwin said on the stream, as posted on YouTube. “I would always have back pain, I was just super tired in the games.”

“That’s when I found out I had blood clots. That all within the span of a month,” he said.

U.S. To Drop COVID International Travel Ban – Here’s the Catch

The US will drop its international travel ban for fully vaccinated foreigners from Nov. 8, a White House official said.

The Biden administration, which is expected to make an official announcement on Friday, is lifting travel restrictions for those arriving in the US at land borders and via air, an official told Reuters.

Non-US citizens from 33 countries, including China, India, Brazil and most of Europe, have been banned from entering the US for much of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The White House revealed last month that restrictions would be lifted for air travelers, but they did not disclose an exact date at the time.

Large Majority of TSA Workers Unvaccinated as Deadline Looms

President Biden’s announced vaccine mandate for private employers is being blamed for flight disruptions, and now his mandate for federal workers is posing the threat of further travel chaos with the TSA admitting that 40% of its agents remain unvaccinated six weeks before the deadline.

“We have about 60 percent of our workforce has been vaccinated, that that number needs to go quite a bit higher over the next few weeks,” Transportation Security Administration Administrator David Pekoske told CNN.

The Nov. 22 deadline is only two days prior to the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, which usually is the nation’s busiest travel day of the year.

“We are building contingency plans, for if we do have some staffing shortages as a result of this, but I hope to avoid that,” Pekoske said.

U.S. Soldiers, Including Navy SEALS, Suing Biden

Liberty Counsel on Friday announced a class action lawsuit on behalf of members of all five branches of the U.S. military – the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard – against President Joe Biden over his orders they take the experimental COVID shots or face dishonorable discharge.

“The Biden administration has no authority to require the COVID shots for the military or for federal employees or civilian contractors,” explained Mat Staver, Liberty Counsel chairman.

“Nor can the Biden administration pretend that the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act and the First Amendment do not apply to its unlawful mandates. The commander-in-chief must end this shameful treatment and abuse of our brave military heroes. Forcing the COVID shots without consent or consideration for their sincere religious beliefs is illegal.”

The action in U.S. District Court in Florida is on behalf of two Navy SEALs, a Navy EOD Officer, a Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer, a Navy Chaplain, two Marine Lt. Colonels, two Marine Lance Corporals, an Air Force Major, an Air Force Technical Sergeant, an Army National Guardsman, an Army Colonel, and a Coast Guard Lieutenant.

Nurses Sue Hospital for ‘Blanket Denial’ of Religious Vaccine Exemptions

Nurses facing being fired from their Illinois hospital are suing their employer for refusing to grant them exemptions from the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, a move they claim violates state law.

Last month, Riverside Healthcare in Kankakee, Illinois, told all employees who filed for exemptions to the hospital’s vaccine mandate that their requests had been denied, saying that the health care system could not have unvaccinated employees caring for patients.

“Based on our review of your declination request and our COVID Vaccination Program Policy, your request has been denied. Although your religious or strongly held belief may otherwise qualify for an exemption, Riverside has decided to deny your request because you are in a patient-facing position,” the health care system’s letter stated, according to the Daily Journal.

“We take all requests very seriously and respect the time you invested to submit it,” Riverside said, adding that employees who do not want the vaccine could apply for non-patient-facing positions.

On Wednesday, six nurses at Riverside who filed for exemptions and were told they would be fired for refusing the vaccine filed a lawsuit in Circuit Court for the Twenty-First Circuit in Kankakee County.
