Federal Judge Blocks United Airlines’ Vaccine Mandate

A federal judge in Texas temporarily blocked United Airlines from putting unvaccinated workers who requested exemptions from the company’s COVID-19 shot mandate on leave.

“The court is not currently ruling on the merits of the parties’ arguments on these points,” U.S. District Judge Mark Pittman wrote in his order. “Rather the court seeks simply to avoid the risk of irreparable harm to the parties and to maintain the status quo while the court holds an evidentiary hearing.”

United originally planned to put any workers who did not comply with the company’s shot order on leave. Even those who requested and were granted religious exceptions from the jab were going to be forced into medical or “indefinite unpaid leave.” Under Pittman’s new order, however, the company is not permitted to take any unvaccinated workers off of the airline’s payroll. The order expires Oct. 26.

United Airlines was one of the first airlines to force the COVID-19 shot on its employees starting in August. Nearly 600 of the company’s workers are at risk to be fired since they have yet to get the jab, in addition to the 2,000 employees who have filed requests for exemption. From 100% To 20%: Video Shows Radically Shifting Narrative of Vaccine Effectiveness

A video montage shows how health officials, pharmaceutical companies and media declared the coronavirus shots to be 100% effective against symptomatic COVID-19 at the launch of the vaccines then gradually lowered their estimations to as low as 20% after only six months.

White House coronavirus adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci is seen in a media interview touting the vaccines as “virtually 100% efficacious” and stating in congressional testimony that the “real world effectiveness is even more impressive than the results of the clinical trial.”

The video, posted by a Twitter user, was highlighted by Grabien.com.

Moderna, a headline said, boasted its vaccine was 100% effective in teens. And Pfizer said its vaccine was 100% effective in preventing COVID infections. Others said their shot was 100% protection against severe disease, hospitalization and death.

The Pentagon’s Vaccine Mandate Is Driving Yet Another Wedge Between Troops and Leadership

The Pentagon’s vaccine mandate for all military service members is creating a divide among troops and leadership, and some of the former group are choosing to leave the service entirely rather than be forced to get vaccinated.

A substantial number of the military’s most elite operators, including Navy SEALs and fighter pilots, are seeking an exemption from the vaccine mandate, and many of those individuals are planning a change of career if an exemption is not granted, the Daily Caller has learned. Active members of multiple branches of the armed services, who spoke to the Daily Caller on the condition of anonymity so they could speak freely, described being subjected to pressure campaigns and experiencing worsening morale as the Pentagon rolls out its mandate before the end of the year.

Davis Younts, an attorney representing dozens of troops who are seeking religious or medical accommodations for the vaccine mandate, said that most of his clients are not going to comply with the mandate even if they aren’t granted an exemption. “My clients, the guys I’m representing, and the SEALs I’ve spoken to, are what we’re calling ‘hard no’s’… that means you’re going to submit a religious accommodation request, you’re going to submit a medical exemption based on where you’re at… and then if it’s not approved, they’re not going to take the vaccine.”

The direct consequences for refusing a lawful order to get vaccinated are unclear as of now, and will likely vary from case to case. Republicans on Capitol Hill have wrestled with the Biden administration and Pentagon leadership on whether or not those who refuse the mandate can be dishonorably discharged, and the Army has said that “continued failure to comply could result in administrative or non-judicial punishment – to include relief of duties or discharge.”

Younts, whose dozens clients include a variety of servicemembers from multiple Navy fighter pilots to a growing list of SEALs, said that uncertainty exists even for those who do get an accommodation. Judge Rules New York Must Allow Religious Exemptions to COVID Vaccine Mandate

A federal judge ruled on Tuesday that New York state cannot impose a COVID-19 vaccine mandate on healthcare workers without allowing their employers to consider religious exemption requests.

U.S. District Judge David Hurd in Albany, New York, ruled that the state’s workplace vaccination requirement conflicted with healthcare workers’ federally protected right to seek religious accommodations from their employers.

The ruling provides a test case as vaccine mandate opponents gear up to fight plans by President Joe Biden’s administration to extend COVID-19 inoculation requirements to tens of millions of unvaccinated Americans.

Vaccines have become highly politicized in the United States, where only 66% of Americans are vaccinated, well short of the initial goals of the Biden administration.

Seventeen healthcare workers opposed to the mandate sued, saying the requirement violated their rights under the U.S. Constitution and a federal civil rights law requiring employers to reasonably accommodate employees’ religious beliefs. Hospital Uses Photo of Vaccine-Fired Nurse to Recruit for Her Replacement

Besides and in addition to any question of legality of the actions, there’s no doubt many Americans feel corporations are abusing their workers if they fire them for failing to comply with COVID-19 mandates.

But one health-care company, Asante, based in southern Oregon, is being trashed online for firing one such worker, and then using her own image in an advertisement seeking a replacement for her.

The report on Facebook comes from Tiana Therrien, who reveals, “I am losing my job due to the vaccine mandate.”

She then reproduces Asante’s ad seeking from the public referrals for “top-notch healthcare professionals.”

This Alaskan Police Officer Would Rather Lose His Job of 27 Years Than Get COVID-19 Vaccine

A Filipino police officer in Bethel, Alaska is willing to risk his career of nearly three decades to avoid taking a required COVID-19 vaccination.

A city’s mandate: On Sept. 27, the local government of Bethel officially enforced its vaccine mandate policy for all local employees, following through on its announcement via email two weeks prior. . .

“Mark of the Beast”: Bethel Police Investigator Vincent Garay, who has chosen not to return to work after the city enforced the policy, was placed on leave and had to surrender his gun and badge, reported Inquirer. . .

According to Garay, the vaccine goes against his pro-life beliefs based on a chapter 13 verse in Revelations, the last book of the Bible’s New Testament, which talks about the “mark of the beast.” He believes aborted fetal tissue was used in the vaccine’s development. . .

The end of a long career: Garay, who has been in law enforcement for 27 years, is now staying in his home in Wasilla, a city with one of the highest rates of COVID-19 transmission in the state. New Virus Poses ‘An Existential Threat to Life as We Know It on This Planet’

The Biden administration’s apparent unwillingness to conduct a serious official investigation of the origin of SARS-CoV-2 that holds China accountable for its actions and lack of cooperation could result in a pandemic much more lethal that the current one, warns a leading researcher.

Dr. Steven Quay, whose research became part of a State Department probe of the origin of COVID-19 under President Trump, told Fox News’ Martha MacCallum on Friday that “all of the evidence points toward the lab theory.” . . .

But it’s more vital than ever to stop the dangerous “gain-of-function” research going on at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, he said.

Raw data from patient specimens posted in the National Institutes of Health’s gene bank showed researchers at the Wuhan lab in December 2019 were manipulating genes from the highly lethal Nipah virus, Quay said.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Won’t Enforce Vaccine Mandate

The Los Angeles County sheriff says he will not enforce the county’s vaccine mandate in his agency.

Sheriff Alex Villanueva, who oversees the largest sheriff’s department in the county with roughly 18,000 employees, said Thursday in a Facebook Live event that he does not plan to carry out the county’s mandate, under which Los Angeles County employees had to be fully vaccinated by Oct. 1.

The mandate was issued by executive order in August and allows only for religious and medical exemptions. Villanueva said his employees are willing to be terminated rather than get vaccinated.

Joe Biden’s Vaccine Mandate Doesn’t Exist. It’s Just a Press Release

Yes, we’ve heard all about Joe Biden’s alleged vaccine mandate for private companies employing 100 or more people. It was all over the news even before he announced it on September 9. His announcement has jeopardized the employment of millions of Americans and increased worker shortages in critical domains such as health care.

There’s only one problem. It’s all a mirage. Biden’s so-called vaccine mandate doesn’t exist — at least, not yet. So far, all we have is his press conference and other such made-for-media huff-puffing. No such rule even claiming to be legally binding has been issued yet.

That’s why nearly two dozen Republican attorneys general who have publicly voiced their opposition to the clearly unconstitutional and illegal mandate haven’t yet filed suit against it, the Office of the Indiana Attorney General confirmed for me. There is no mandate to haul into court. And that may be part of the plan.

According to several sources, so far it appears no such mandate has been sent to the White House’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs yet for approval. The White House, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Department of Labor haven’t released any official guidance for the alleged mandate. There is no executive order. There’s nothing but press statements.

Hospital DENIES Woman Kidney Transplant Due To Being Unvaccinated

A Colorado woman with stage 5 renal failure is scrambling to find a new hospital to perform a kidney transplant after a health system in the state denied the transplant due to her and her donor being unvaccinated against the coronavirus.

“Here I am, willing to be a direct donor to her. It does not affect any other patient on the transplant list,” Jaimee Fougner, Leilani Lutali’s kidney donor, told CBS4. “How can I sit here and allow them to murder my friend when I’ve got a perfectly good kidney and can save her life?”

Lutali said she received a letter from Colorado health system UCHealth at the end of September explaining that she and Fougner have 30 days to begin the vaccine process. They would be removed from the kidney transplant list if they refuse the shots.

“I said I’ll sign a medical waiver. I have to sign a waiver anyway for the transplant itself, releasing them from anything that could possibly go wrong,” said Lutali. “It’s surgery, it’s invasive. I sign a waiver for my life. I’m not sure why I can’t sign a waiver for the COVID shot.”
